yeah, it's early. I can't remember the last time we opened up looking good. Chris Todd has a long way to go and not a lot of time to get there.
We kind of pulled back the raines in the fourth quarter. LAMO has seen this offense before in the sun belt, maybe it will catch other teams off guard. There is my optimism for this year.
Clemson is miserable. Alabama will be pretty decent, but Clemson and Cullen Harper were way over rated.
If Clemson is the 9th best team in the nation I'm the dictator of China. I know preseason polls will never go away, but tonight was a good arguement as to why they should. Alabama is about to brag about beating the worst top team team in the history of college football. It's going to be one irritating week on talk radio
Jay G ... that dropped pass by the PCP was more like a never touched it and closed his hands 15 seconds after the ball went through them. Don't know what he was thinking about at the time except maybe something like "Man, look at that hot cheerleader."
He did have a nice TD though.
Is a goose egg, 300 plus on the ground, and 34 points a slow start? I'm thinking, Kodi plays the rest of the game and we score at least once more, maybe twice.
Dude ... I mean really. He looked like he was getting ready to throw a hail mary just to get the ball 15 yards down field. While the one deep throw I saw Kodi make was on time and on the money. Slaughter could have taken lessons from my three year old on that one. It was a terrible display.
We might as well be in the wishbone.
ReplyDeleteWell, Franklin says he goes with what works.
Guess running plays are all that works tonight.
Any word on the Burns injury?
i read elsewhere burns should be ok and is out of the locker room. let's hope that analysis holds up in the AM.
ReplyDeletesuper tough showing.... no idea why there where no plays down the field tonight, even if incomplete...
and then there is todd.... not very pretty at all...
For sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good work, JGT.
Later.
nice drive by todd and co.
ReplyDeleteis bama this good, or clemson this terrible?
ReplyDeletei'm really hoping clemson really, really sucks.
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked by that stuff in the Georgia Dome.
ReplyDeleteLook: It's another Tommy laying his annual egg.
ouch jay g! ouch!
ReplyDeleteWell, the running game is solid.
ReplyDeleteThis all has the feel of Tubs control anyway.
I guess we were all under the delusion that Franklin was bringing a gunslinger offense in here.
All that changed is that the running if from the shotgun now instead of the I-formation.
Early in the season folks... A win is a
ReplyDeletewin. WDE
Okay, this is worth saying.
ReplyDeleteFor years we have come out so very slow in the first few games and all we say is:
"It's the first game."
"It takes time."
etc...
All I'm saying is USC (the California one Spurrier lovers) comes out against a big-time ACC team and blows them off the field.
Mizzou and Illinois come out and light the scoreboard up against each other.
Alabama goes to Atlanta and pulverizes the #9 ranked team in the nation.
And we are satisfied with another win and another slow start.
Have a nice night and I hope none of you are in the path of Gustav. If you are, travel safe.
Peace and goodnight friends.

Chris Todd can't get the ball off in time enough to make anything happen and that soft arm is an INT threat just about anytime he lets one fly.
ReplyDeleteFannin? Give him the damn ball. He's electric.
Eric Smith- we found our next traditional AU tailback.
PPL- redshirt, you need a year of Yoxercise.
Kodi- please know when to take a slide.
Slaughter- I though you were freaky with the hands. You looked like Cooper Wallace out there.
Tommy Trott- who?
Dude ... I mean really. He looked like he was getting ready to throw a hail mary just to get the ball 15 yards down field. While the one deep throw I saw Kodi make was on time and on the money. Slaughter could have taken lessons from my three year old on that one. It was a terrible display.
ReplyDeleteJulio for heisman
Ppl done for the year. Yep. Redshirt.
ReplyDeleteBIG night from Trott, no doubt.
ReplyDeleteI thought Mr. Thorpe looked like pretty darn good.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Neiko was a beast. That fourth-quarter hit was a classic, I'm tellin ya.
