Fourth quarter

  • Can they really stick with Todd now? He is picked on a quacker then misses Fannin on a wide-open screen pass. I don't get it.

  • AUBURN 14, TENNESSEE 12: Montario Hardesty scores on a 2-yard run. The two-point conversion was defended. This drive was set up by Dennis Rogen's interception of a quacker from Chris Todd. He just can't throw deep with authority. The Vols took possession at the AU 37 and finished the job. Auburn's situation is getting serious.

Wow. What a nice run on the sweep there.

  2. Todd set up that drive for UT perfectly.

  3. Auburn has to make something happen here. Just has to. Tennessee will turn this thing around with another three-and-out.

I think Gary Danielson has been reading the HABOTN this week. He has mentioned everything we have been saying: Todd has no arm strength; he is just throwing it up for grabs; the zone read does not work w/o a running QB.

4th quarter. AU offense still sucks and the UT offense finding a groove.

14:53 to go, which is an eternity for Auburn fans in yet another spoon feeding football game.

  6. Chris Todd: Not playing well.

JGT, is it just CBS, or is the crowd kinda...dead?

Except for that resounding round of boos after the 3 and out.

    Another Danielson comment:

If you're going to go to the spread, you can't hide a QB.

Playing decent on offense every other game isn't going to cut it. I've defended Todd, but this is the 3rd game out of 5 where he's looked lost.

  10. I'll be very interested to see what Auburn does at QB on its next possession.

It's a good thing UT's offense is as inconsistent as it is.

A team with any kind of solid attack would have scored with that field position.

We need to reward the D by moving the ball and keeping them off the field for awhile.

I'd hate to see our 2nd half time of possession this season.

Todd's arm was actually fairly decent vs LSU. He's noodle today. And this toss sh*t to Tate is about to make me blow a gasket.

Our running game is so predictable.

It's almost like 2003 where if the TE lined up right, we ran right.

This is not Auburn Football. This is embarrassing.

  16. Auburn is getting remarkably conservative. The offense looked fine in the first half; passing and running.

Now they're just running and getting nowhere.

  17. Anonymous5:17 PM

Why keep calling pass plays with routes in front of the first down mark?

  18. I'm headed down to the field.

    Talk with you all afterward.

This sucks! Playing not to lose. That defense of ours is frustrated. Clearly a sign that giving up a big play is suspect.

And Kodi is done for the day. My money's not going to be spent on gas, food, and necessities to enjoy a gameday in Auburn again this season.

    Playing to lose yet again.

  23. MY GOD!!! We have no QB's!!!

Open on that 3rd & 18 if our QB had an arm.....

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anonymous5:28 PM

    Tennessee is really bad

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous5:29 PM

We only put Kodi in to run. I think UT is on to that.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anonymous5:29 PM

At least let Kodi run a decent play my gosh

    ReplyDelete
  27. Anonymous5:30 PM

Franklin and Tubs are goofballs. I think we lose at the end again

    ReplyDelete
  28. why are they not even trying to block the punt? We're on our side of the 50, so it's not like they're getting in position to block for a return

  29. Who is Tony Franklin coaching for? He has got to be the epitome of an idiot. I wonder what kind of excuses and apologies he comes up with now...

  30. Anonymous5:41 PM

As Eric Cartman would say, what in the funk and wagnels are we doing?!?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous5:42 PM

Have some guts and try to win it right now

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous5:42 PM

3rd and 5, all we need is 5 yards on one play and we are really close to winning this pathetic game.

I can't see where fans of either team are happy here.

Send Chris Todd to the nursing home and at least start preparing for next yr

I'm guessing the LSU hangover lasted at least a week.

We can't play like that next week vs Vandy.

I can't believe I just typed that sentence.

The two worst offensive games in the history of football:

    1. AU vs Miss St
    2. AU vs Tenn

Pathetic. If Kodi doesn't start next week there will be a revolt.

Until now I have supported the coaches decision to start Todd. Todd knows how to run the offense, but our line and skill players aren't good enough yet to overcome Todd's physical limitations. Todd has now run the offense enough for the coaches to know what it can(can't) do. We now need to play Kodi more than Todd so that he can start learning on a fast track.

Kodi still has a long way to go . On several occasions he still only looked at one Wr and then pulled the ball down to run. He also tends to "lock on" to one receiver and has got to fix that.

    kodi is our only hope.

If Franklin comes out and says Todd played good and only had a few bad plays, my freakin head will explode.

    I hate him.

  39. I Repeat - We Have No QB's!!

    Including Burns....

    Andy W.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous6:35 PM

Then lets play Barrett Trotter or Neil Caudle. At least Kodi can run it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anonymous6:36 PM

How can you say that about Burns lognville when he hasn't played as much as Todd has in the first few games and the play calling with him in there was pitiful. I'm not sold on Burns but he is no worse than Todd.

    ReplyDelete
  42. jrmax - You just made my point......

"I'm not sold on Burns but he is no worse than Todd."

    WE HAVE NO QB'S!!!!!!!!
