All we have are the embers

Thanks for another successful campfire.

We want to give special thanks to our celebrity guests: Jon Gruden, Jim Fyffe, President Bush and Joshua Moon.

See you all tomorrow LIVE from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

I expect to get things rolling around 11 a.m. CDT.

  1. Personally, I'm ready for Bball so we can start bashing Lebo again. That's way more fun than bashing Franklin.

  2. Okay ... this is it ... I'm done after this ... I'm on computer overload.

    I've been thinking again.

You know, I've employed quite a few people in my career and there are some poeple who, rather than quit, try to get fired. Ring a bell with anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  3. You think peops are trying to get fired? I don't think I am onboard with that.

Some people are morons with no ulterior motives, phred

  4. When the facebook crowd gets around to it, I'm registered and rollin'. So invite me. I think you know how to find me.

    ReplyDelete
  5. do you know why they try to get fired?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Nobody's trying, Phred.

    Come on.

    ReplyDelete
  7. not now ... I mean then.

If you quit, you don't collect unemployment. I'm talking about Franklin.

He get's fired. He walks away with easy money. And we are pretty sure he didn't want to be there anymore.

If he quit, might have been a different ending maybe?

  8. Like I said, sometimes an idiot is just an idiot, and not a schemer masquerading as an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I didn't say I was thinking valid, rational, or reasonable thoughts ... just random thoughts. From one idiot to another.

  10. Yeah, you are probably right about some of your theories. But do you want to know who is really responsible for this screwed up season? Scott Baio. I have a source, you don't even want to know who it is, but the guy is good, and he told me that Scott Baio is single handedly submarining our season. Screw that guy.

I may need to delete this post. I was told this info in confidence. Don't tell anyone else, k?

Michael...."Cha-Chi the Sabatuer"? Say it ain't so.. Enquiring minds need to know.... I'm not sure that AU civil rights protect sources of such sinister subjects. It's either divulge the souce or risk the Banhamer! Only BOT members enjoy such secrecy without reprocussion..

I sure hope we can find a deep passing game today.

  13. Ray Melick shows his true colors - Crimson and White:

    http://www.al.com/sports/birminghamnews/rmelick.ssf?/base/sports/1225527360124640.xml&coll=2

I used to think he was willing to be objective. Jon Solomon wrote a long fluff piece back before the season began about the wonderful job The Pacific Institute was doing in "motivating" the tide players. I pointed out to him that this organization was considered to be a New Age group by many evangelical organizations, and I thought that was at least worthy of a mention in the story. Solomon said he was shocked by my evidence, but of course did nothing. No way he would cross saban. So I sent it all to Ray, who professed interest and said he was considering a story. He never wrote one; guess he's afraid of nick too. Much easier to pile onto Tubs.

And AL is winning, so what difference does it make if bama is "brainwashing" its players. At least Scarbinsky made that reference.

  14. So I am coming back from a coffee run and I'm listening to Sports 740 AM. For some reason, they are rolling the audio in 1.5X speed and everybody sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks. Weird.

  15. I don't read the Ray Melick piece as anything other than a regurgitation of the questions many Auburn faithful are asking.

Jay, I just send you a friend request. You're going to bring my friend count close to 25. I'm a facebook loser.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Vrga - Let me help you reframe that. You're just selective. Otherwise, I'm a loser too and that's not fun at all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yea Monica, but he's just piling on to Tubs while saban has gotten a free pass on everything from the news since he's been there.

If AU brought in a new age guru to motivate the team, do you think the news would write 100% positive articles about it? I think they'd have done more research on the group than the Dems did on Palin.

And now he has to sensationalize it and make it seem that if AU doesn't win today then Tubs is probably out.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood cause I can't watch the game. ;)

  19. Well, I don't blame you, Coosa. I'd be in a bad mood about that too. However, if I remember right that could mean a win for us. :-)

  20. We need a HABOTN myspace page as well. I'm sure there are a ton of hotties on myspace like myself.

  21. Bummer - technical meltdown at work and I miss the campfire putting out another fire.

Oh well, looking forward to the game chat today. If nothing else at least that aspect will be entertaining, even if the game isn't.

Monica, that's what I tell my wife, I prefer a more intimate gathering. Anyone can get 200+ friends, not everyone can keep their friend count below 30 for 6 months.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Maybe some kind of a motivational guru would help, but maybe it would be cheaper to just buy a lot of mirrors and have the players do a lot of self affirmation?

  24. I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and dang it, I like me...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Now you're on the right path, VRGA!

  27. I'm back Hotties....from reading the posts it appears I have missed much. I had to take a break to recharge the 'ol batteries...to imbibe in the Zen p-phunk has been pimping. We're facebooking it now? It took me years to pile on the blogging bandwagon and now to stay hip it appears I will facebook as well!?! Congrats to the new ROF members! It is an honor we should all strive for....like Jim Rome says "have a take and don't suck". I'm really not too optimistic about our chances today, but I am decked out in the Auburn gear anyway. Pull us through Hotties!

  28. The UT/USC game is going to be very interesting. Fulmer needs this one very badly.

  29. Welcome back, Kris. Missed your posts. Hope you're recharged enough to finish this season out.

    Or your money back.

On the HABOTN facebook group, do I need to create that or has someone already handled that task?

  33. Kristina - Add me on your FB please? I don't know how to find you. My email is monica_wareagle@yahoo.com

  35. You could crack walnuts with my butt cheeks at the moment. Let's get this game going.

  36. Please stop playing that Obamanu drop!!! It is a play that will live in infamy and it drives me nuts. Every time I look at it I hope he catches it. It never changes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Auburn is going to win and win big!!! Well, maybe not big, but by more points than we beat MSU by. That is my prediction and I am sticking with it.
