    This is not good...at all

    ReplyDelete
  3. It tooks us 49 mins, but we finally get 100 yards of offense...but Byrum's struggles continue.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Anonymous6:40 PM

    This is actually happening?
    Really?
    Where's Kutcher?

    ReplyDelete

    sigh..what else do you say

    ReplyDelete
  6. Wes Byrum ... yikes.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm not sure if I've ever seen us play worse on offense than we have in this game, and I've been following games since I was 8, I'm 32 now.

Again it's up to the D to save us.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I said it's great to be an auburn tiger!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm going downstairs for interviews.

    Behave!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I dont know what is more painful, this or the Miss. St game?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Tackling drills, Sunday morning.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think this game is worse offensively than the 1st two games of the Nallsminger era of 2003.

As I type that, there is the complete team breakdown that we didn't need to see.

    Game, set & match.

I'm not sure if we have the horses to get this one back.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm done with CTT. Never said that before.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Good luck in the lockerroom Jay, it could be sad.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ahhh..the beginning of the end...

    ReplyDelete
  16. So the play calling and offense probalem WASN'T all Tony?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous6:46 PM

right.....about....NOW would be a splendid time for the offense to click.

Can we see some War Eagle Formation??

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anonymous6:46 PM

    sigh..it's all i got left..WE CANT SCORE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. looks like more major changes ahead...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Anonymous6:47 PM

apparantly trotter was warming up a bit.....

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonymous6:48 PM

Its time for the offense to bail the defense out for once...

    ReplyDelete
  22. And I guess this is what happens when the defense has to play 85% of the game

    ReplyDelete
  23. by the way, I'd like to have a shot at tackling Etheridge.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anonymous6:50 PM

damn. just absolutely NOTHING. It's sad, really.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous6:50 PM

    Todd? Again?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anonymous6:50 PM

    THIRD AND THIRTY-TWO??? SERIOUSLY?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Would y'all please be a little more specific. We can't get the game in SC. We tried Gameplan but checked in at 5:01 which means we were not able to get the game. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anonymous6:51 PM

the after show will be interesting. Coach what does the future look like? uh im gone

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous6:51 PM

well, no trotter, maybe he was just throwing on his own..... instead, chris todd vomitting all over himself

    ReplyDelete
  30. why can't we block 4?

    ReplyDelete
  31. what in the world is chris todd still doing in the game...better yet, why dies he still have a scholarship?

    ReplyDelete

    ace formation................hello?

WE COULD HAVE RUN IT ALL NIGHT!

    NOW WE GOTTA THROW!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. on a lighter note...any of you see the weatherman that proposed to his girlfriend, the news anchor, on air?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Our Charter does not do ESPN 360. Thanks, Mon, I am trying out the other stations.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm actually sad. Like heartsick. I've gone past pissed, right to just plain ole sad.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anonymous6:57 PM

so double are yards, go 80 yards and win this game?

    any takers?

    ReplyDelete
  43. front page of yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  44. This is the spot where Kodi could start to create the legend people think he'll be.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If he hit him in stride, then it's 6.

    Still a good play.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Burns for a scrambler gets tripped up too easily.

It's like he doesn't have good balance.

    Another 2nd and very long.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Think we might keep the ball with the QB on 1st down?

How about an unsportsmanlike on that tackle?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't understand how Jay can say he doesn't see anything in Kodi.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I see what he's saying.

He struggles when is 1st option isn't open. He panics.

Plus apparently he can't throw a fade route.

    Here's the game.

    ReplyDelete
  50. We tried a very uncordinated UF/Tebow play.

    ReplyDelete
  51. maybe that's why

    ReplyDelete
  52. because great players make things happen..KODI DOSENT...game on the line 1st and Goal...an NOTHING

    ReplyDelete
  53. Bharris - If he had more time in, consistency coaching, etc. I might feel the same way.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anonymous7:07 PM

This is unreal, if you would have told me Auburn would be 4-3 going into the West Va game I would have laughed. There has to be some serious changes made around there.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Why not use a running back on the goalline?

Q just said on the broadcast, 99% of the time if we line up on offense with our linemen down it's a run/ 99% of the time if we are sitting back it's a pass.

Much like the Nallsminger of 03 where if the TE was on the left, the run was the the left.

    ReplyDelete
  56. 1:09, maybe we can get this kick.

    Please.

    Something.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Anonymous7:09 PM

1st and goal and misses 3 straight open receivers.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Anonymous7:09 PM

    Maybe a good return

    ReplyDelete
  59. i can see what your saying...but he never takes adavantage of any of the chances he is given...he hasnt earned it. Has Todd...no..truth is both have completly sucked. No flashes of greatness or even medicrity in either one.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Boys, it's going to be a LONG rest of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm not sure about that play, unless they really don't think Byrum can kick a FG.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anonymous7:11 PM

I'm glad Arkansas took the safety.

    ReplyDelete
  63. What good would a field goal do?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Anonymous7:11 PM

    I think safety favors auburn

    ReplyDelete
  65. Anonymous7:11 PM

fire them all tonight. this is a discrace

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anonymous7:11 PM

take a safety? a FG to OT...... i would have punted.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Well the inept offense gets one more chance to save themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  68. And the drops from receivers hasn't helped. The entire offense still doesn't look like they really know what's going on.

    ReplyDelete
  69. A FG would tie the game.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes, Burns with no time outs, please tuck the ball down and run it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Sorry, didn't know about the safety when I asked.

    ReplyDelete
  72. There is your big playmaker Kodi Burns.

    ReplyDelete
  73. maybe they'll inerview our new HC Bobby Petrino after the game

    ReplyDelete
  74. Anonymous7:13 PM

    pressure got to him.
This year just isn't for us.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Please, anybody but Petrino

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous7:14 PM

just no touch or accuracy by kodi as seen on the 1st and goal from the 5 and that last play..... i never would have believed that the season would be effectively lost after 7 games

    ReplyDelete
  77. Is there anyone left to blame besides CTT?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Anonymous7:15 PM

the whole bunch is bad. this is the coaching staffs fault. Tubbs made the riskiest move in au history by hiring franklin and now it wil;l cost him his job. get the wish list ready.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Anonymous7:15 PM

WAR EAGLE!! aight I love em but ouch...ouch

    ReplyDelete
  80. yall hear that....sounds like a jet

    ReplyDelete
  81. Anonymous7:16 PM

so, how surprised are people that it was 95% spread today?

i am at the 80-90% surprised

    ReplyDelete
  82. Anonymous7:16 PM

INT...I just turned the game off

    ReplyDelete
  83. Anonymous7:16 PM

    Lane Kiffin for president

    ReplyDelete
  84. Anonymous7:17 PM

talent level is weak and will only get weaker

    ReplyDelete
  85. Anonymous7:17 PM

Look, a QB isn't going to get us out of this chaos. It is going to take a whole lot more than a change there. Chris Todd wouldn't have done anything on the last drive either, and obviously Caudle and Trotter can't even take a snap. Auburn has way bigger problems than just at QB. We can all say goodbye to Tubs because he is outta here.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Anonymous7:18 PM

1st and goal from the five and no chance of scoring aganst the league's worst defense

    ReplyDelete
  87. Anonymous7:18 PM

Can we get Jay's quote from Tubs put on a Daniel Moore print? I think this was the major disaster he was referring to.

    ReplyDelete
  88. So whatta we have ... 5 more games of this?!? Phred's right, the long year just got longer.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Ive always been a CTT supporter. Have been around him many times, incredible person.

But, this season, and what has happened, is all on him. The team is lost, they dont want to be together, they dont want to play, they are just going through the motions.

CTT created this mess, and it will be his downfall.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Again we do absolutely nothing in the 2nd half.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Anonymous7:20 PM

So who will the next coach be?

    ReplyDelete
  92. 2nd half?

How bout the entire game? Thank the Lord for TDs kickoff return, if not for that, its downright embarrassing.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Anonymous7:21 PM

Good people don't necessarily make the best leaders

    ex: Jimmy Carter

    ReplyDelete
  94. Anonymous7:21 PM

Watching Petrino win the chess match against our very good, but tired defense illuminates how weak our offensive knowledge is

    ReplyDelete
  95. Anonymous7:21 PM

Oddsmakers must have been on crack

    ReplyDelete
  96. Anonymous7:22 PM

    Butch Davis!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Well, I guess maybe Tony Franklin wasn't the problem after all. Good God. Tuberville is such a doofus. If he had to sack Franklin, he could've at least waited until the end of the season.

I think the Ole Miss Mafia went whining about Franklin after he took charge on Tuesday and Tubs pulled the plug a little too quickly. That's why you don't want to be your employees pals.

    ReplyDelete
  98. ditto what Johnnieringo said

    ReplyDelete
  99. Anonymous7:23 PM

Butch has a good thing going in a weaker conference. Why would he leave?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Anonymous7:23 PM

would he leave the acc where he can win and get to a bcs game.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Anonymous7:24 PM

You Tubs supporters should have seen this a long time ago>

    ReplyDelete
  102. We had a good run while the SEC was down. It has caught up to us. Sucks to say it, but its true.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Uhhh...the SEC was down?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Anonymous7:30 PM

disgusted. this is not auburn football. time for a change.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Let me rephrase that, SEC West was down.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I never thought I'd see a time again where we weren't a tough football team. I thought the Bowden era toward the end where we were soft was a fluke, but we are soft.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Well that's still sad, because if the SEC west was down and we have only gotten to Atlanta twice this decade, that's not good either.

I hate to say it, because I like Tub, but maybe 10 years at one school is enough.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Anonymous7:33 PM

I really don't see a decent coach wnating to come to Auburn. Especially with Saban in the same state. Think about it.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Anonymous7:34 PM

    Skip Holtz

    ReplyDelete
  110. Anonymous7:34 PM

I think plenty of candidates would be interested in a 3-4mil job.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Anonymous7:35 PM

tubs just said that was the best team we have played since lsu. WTF he is not even pissed. He has given up. this sucks

    ReplyDelete
  112. Best team since LSU?

Tubs got schooled by someone who was slated to have his job. Tubs went all in with firing Franklin, and, well he got the aces laid down on him. Ouch, freakin hurts. I feel for the players.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Anonymous7:37 PM

The AU flag in front of our house is now at half-mast. And we are going to the bar.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Tub post game thoughts.

"Ark played well on both sides"

"When you get a RB running for 176, you've had a bad day"

"We had every opportunity, we didn't coach well"

"Probably the best team we've played since LSU. They were going to force us to throw the ball"

"Our D made good plays, but our D couldn't set us up with good field position in the second half"

"We didn't have a lot of offense, in, we cut everything down and tried to simplify and execute and make first downs... We had no rhythm...I put them in a situation where we didn't have a lot of time to practice."

"We have to have plays like Tristan Davis had until our offense gets together"

"Bynes was all over the field and they threw crossing routes at him. Ark was well balanced"

"We couldn't make 1st downs and a lot of losses on 1st down that put is in a bind"

"This might have been the best offense we've played all year long" ???????

"This is about as low as it gets. We have to put some kind of a semblance of an offense in. This is not the players fault."

    ReplyDelete
  115. I missed the first few series- -did we try running out of the I even once?

    ReplyDelete
  116. We now have 16 points in the 2nd half of 5 SEC games this year.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Anonymous7:42 PM

I don't want to go near Skip Holtz, I have a feeling this team is going to quit on Tubs.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Anonymous7:42 PM

That was bad. No two ways aboutit.

Where do we go from here?

Can we beat anyone inckuding UTMartin?

    Seriously.

No more sunshine up my leg; someone on the coaches be honest.

Oh wait, we had that guy and ran him out of town.

    ReplyDelete
  119. It's going to take a whole lot of leadership that I'm not sure is there on this team not to fold the rest of the year.

I hate to say it, but it'll take someone stepping up as a leader.

However, I don't think Tub will survive this year.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Why didn't we run the freaking ball?? Did that look like anything other than exactly what Franklin was doing- -except that Kodi played?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Seriously? Did we expect to get better without a real O Coordinator? Props to Ensminger, he tried, but there is a reason he is a TE coach and not an O Coordinator.

God Bless our season, and our players. I pray for no injuries and that our boys play hard. But this is first day of the rest of our season.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Running backs ran the ball 13 times for 43 yards.

Burns ran it 15 times for 38 yards.

If I'm Ben Tate, I'm pissed after the game he had last week from the Ace formation.

    ReplyDelete
  123. The QB struggles continue

    Burns 7/18 119 yards and 2 int's

    Todd 3/10 18 yards and 1 int/3 sacks

    ReplyDelete
  124. So why fire the pass happy- sideline to sideline running OC; and then do nothing but just that the entire game. At least it would have run off some clock, and maybe D is fresher.

Also, how many times did Arky run the crossing route for 30 yards a pop. Could we not see that coming??

    ReplyDelete
  125. Tuberville: you have good years. You have one bad year? So be it.

That's on the main site from Twitter from Jay. Seriously? that's what Tubs has got for us?

We should be reloading, not turned into a drama filled mess staring 5-7 in the face

    ReplyDelete
  126. Anonymous7:52 PM

    Jay,
This is actually your fault for spotting the plane in 2003. Wish you weren't so "investigative". Seriously. :)

    ReplyDelete
  129. Who decided to play Chris Todd? Bad decision. Its obvious he cannot handle the pressure of being put in crucial situations. He holds on to the ball too long, he makes dumb decisions, his speed is that of a injured elephant. At least Kodi can run and pass decent. Kodi did not get a lot of help from his receivers. Kodi is the better of the two in my opinion

    ReplyDelete
  130. Jay, for spotting that plane....

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It has nothing to do with Tuberville; it has everything to do with Petrino. He stiffed Louisville. He lied and bolted Atlanta. He has no class, no integrity, and no place in Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  131. First down on the 5 yard line. Running the frickin football might have been an idea.

The fire Tuberville talk is ridiculous. One bad season doesn't cost a coach his job.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Anonymous8:06 PM

This is way more than a bad season. Watch and see.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Josh M,

Did you something from Kodi that I missed? I saw a guy make one play the whole game, and that was breaking a way from someone who had his arm and underthrowing a WR that was wide open that had he hit him in stride it's a TD.

Seriously, I don't see where Kodi did anything that much greater than what Todd did.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I give Tuberville a 15% chance to make it into next season.

This loss is going to resonate.

He's at his best with his back against the wall, but this is going to be a seriously long climb out of a really deep hole.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Anonymous8:08 PM

steve from Columbia. This team has progressively gotten worse since 2004. This is not just one year, but a conintuation. How can you not see that.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I think he has to win out to stay...maybe if he loses one of the last two in a close nailbitter where coaching decisions aren't questioned he'll get to stay.

However he's walking a fine fine line.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Anonymous8:09 PM

    JG,

    What's his buyout? 8 mill.?

    ReplyDelete
  138. I think it's 5 of 6 million right now, but everything is negotiable.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Anonymous8:10 PM

I'll be pissed if Tubs loses out and wins againt Bama, thus buying him one more year. We should not base this season on the Bama game. It's time for him to go.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Can we save this season during this open week?

Jay, with it being an open week, do you think a lot of moves are made this week?

    ReplyDelete
  141. Anonymous8:12 PM

Spurrier might want to get out of SC, he isn't doing to much there.

    ReplyDelete
  142. If we lose out and win against Alabama...that's still 5-7 and he's still gone.

Even going 6-6 and you add in the game with TN-Martin & Alabama as win, I think he's still gone.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I don't think we'd go after someone of Spurriers age if we are looking for a coach.

    ReplyDelete
  144. wareaglek. He can throw decent and run well. His receivers don't really help him either. Unlike Todd, he actually drove the team down to the 5, and it wasn't his fault that they were terrible play calls in those 4 downs. Todd will just stare a down a receiver and throw it in the hands of a corner. The offensive plays calls are just terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Anonymous8:16 PM

Is anyone else sick of the post-game show sunshine pumpers?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Anonymous8:16 PM

I'd go after Spurrier if he was 84! He still has the drive.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Anonymous8:17 PM

I'm at a loss as to why Auburn was throwing the ball inside the five yard line late in the game. I was positive that Tuberville would pound the ball in that situation.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Anonymous8:18 PM

WOW I thought the play calling was bad for the first six. Ace anyone? Arkansas is among the worst at defending the run...so...we..throw it? I could have done a better job calling this game and I am a complete idiot! I apologize for asking if the play calling could get worse after Vandy (who lost to Miss. St.).

I thought Franklin had lost it, but it must have been me, once again the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Anonymous8:19 PM

They have to try to point out the positives, it's their job. Turn Finebaum on Monday if you want to hear the bashing.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Once Burns 1st target is covered he scraps the play and tucks it and runs.

He paniced with 50 seconds to go and tucked and ran and didn't come close to a 1st down so the clock kept running.

He did throw two really bad int's.

Yes, he's got far more talent that Todd, but unless he can get over his nerves and take advantage of the chances he is given, he isn't a good QB.

This game was his chance to shine and at the half he was 0-4.

Yes he got us in position to score at the end on a broken play where the WR was wide open and he had to break stride to get the ball...but once down on the 4 yard line he made 3 bad passes.

Yes, he has talent. I haven't seen it be anywhere near consistant.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Guys, I just think our offensive line is really bad and we can't block for the run OR the pass.

    ReplyDelete
  152. His first INT was from a receiver not catching the ball and knocking it up in the air. The ball was a little high but the receiver still got his hands on it and knocked it straight into the air. That should fall more on the receiver than on Kodi. I'm not saying that Kodi is an awesome QB, BUT i am saying he is better than Todd and that Todd should have never been in the game. Oh and his INT cost us the lead.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Anonymous8:31 PM

okay 90% +/- of this board has more football knowledge than me....what is wrong with the offense? Playcalling, execution, talent please inform me.

    ReplyDelete
