Is Eric Smith just an impatient young guy?

  2. What do you think Jay, do we step up here or what?

    ugly play. bad call.

    ReplyDelete

    I'm developing an ulcer.

    That didn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Eric Smith is very young, yes.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yep. Eric Smith will be fine with experience.

    ReplyDelete
  7. 51 yards in that quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  8. 3rd and very long...what's the call?

    ReplyDelete
  9. That wasn't going to be a first down anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Anonymous9:03 PM

    fake?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Anonymous9:03 PM

Jay G. Sorry about the disappear man. I got taken away in the office here and just got back.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Burns in panic mode.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anonymous9:03 PM

    well. damn.

    ReplyDelete
  14. WHY!!!!!!! Don't send him out there anymore. He stinks right now.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Byrum ... wide left and may not have made it anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anonymous9:04 PM

Shocking, he missed it, I'm surprised, anyone else?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous9:04 PM

I'm sorry I asked if Byrum could make a field goal, that shows my stupidity.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 7 of 13, terrible

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anonymous9:04 PM

Super hillbilly is getting a lot of air time.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Seriously, no other kicker at all?

Wasn't Byrum getting some heat in the preseason from someone?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonymous9:05 PM

HOW did he get through????????? 3 GUYS WERE ON HIM.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Another missed tackle. Gabe McKenzie.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's the Auburn kicker rule...you are good every other year

Happened with Bironis, Duval, Vaughn & now Byrum

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anonymous9:05 PM

He was wrapped up, are you kidding me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Jay...Grill Rhodes if giving the chance. I know it was a missed tackle, but they have showed no heart tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anonymous9:05 PM

DID WE FORGET HOW TO TACKLE????

    ReplyDelete
  27. Gabe's gotta make that tackle

    ReplyDelete
  28. Pathetic defense.....look forward to hearing Rhoads after the game.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Q just said this is the same thing Ark did to us, running the same plays

    ReplyDelete
  30. Riggins said WV is doing the same thing Ark did to us, just out of a different formation. We might win one more game this year, and that is questionable!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Devine is a father of 3? Isn't he like 20?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous9:07 PM

Is mr. paul the one who made the comment about CTF hot seat?

He needs to focus on his seat.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous9:07 PM

completely inexcusable for that devine run to get past the line of scrimmage

    ReplyDelete
  34. McKensie was trying too hard to strip the ball. Gave up 10-15 extra yards.

Bad technique on tackling. These guys are going to be scared down just because we put a hand on them.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jay, How is Weezer looking on Saturday?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anonymous9:08 PM

missed most the first half. something wrong with Tate? only 3 carries.......

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anonymous9:08 PM

Tubs is so fired after this game

    ReplyDelete
  38. 16 points in our last 5 games in the 2nd half.

    ReplyDelete
  39. If by some miracle of God can hold them to a FG here then we still have a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous9:09 PM

field goals will not win this game... only touchdowns...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anonymous9:09 PM

Its like a different O line and D from last year.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Everyone pray for a turnover!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anonymous9:09 PM

Jay, your 75% on Tubs isa about to get raised by 20.

    ReplyDelete
  44. We could use some "Devine" intervention!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Tim, FG's won't win any game for us, we can't hit them.

    ReplyDelete
  46. So is this why our offense had so much success against our D in fall practice?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anonymous9:10 PM

Just play the run and make em beat ya with the pass!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Anonymous9:10 PM

my point why are we kicking them

    ReplyDelete
  49. Anonymous9:11 PM

    We look worn out again.

    Just like Arkansas

    ReplyDelete
  50. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous9:11 PM

If it's not the offense, it's the defense.

    Game over.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Zach Etheridge is AWFUL on crossing routes.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ugly. Three men had a hand on him and lost him.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anonymous9:11 PM

Why are we even on the field, just quit, forfeit now.

    ReplyDelete
  55. 75%?

    Do I hear a 95%?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous9:11 PM

    Like that

    ReplyDelete
  57. Anonymous9:11 PM

Wow. This season has been brutal.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Etheridge needs to sit down...

    ReplyDelete
  59. Everytime we blitz equals a big play for other team. I hate the blitz this year.

    ReplyDelete
  60. they've got three freakin' players and we can't beat them

    more great work by etheridge

maybe tubbs will fire rhodes next

    ReplyDelete
  61. Terrible fundamentals, or lack of.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anonymous9:11 PM

    95% He's gone.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I hate to say it, but look back at our schedule...we played a lot of bad offensive teams and it made our D look good.

We might not have been good on D all year long.

We tackled better earlier in the year, but that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. So you catching the red eye to Auburn ;)!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. It's official. Our defense quit on this season after Vandy.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Well, I think we better open it up now!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Anonymous9:12 PM

    Guess the heater stays off.

    ReplyDelete
  68. What does Tubs have to lose?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Anonymous9:13 PM

    95%...dang Brotha

    ReplyDelete
  70. Anonymous9:13 PM

    Lowder is fueling the jet.

    ReplyDelete
  71. CTT it's been nice knowing ya.

    ReplyDelete
  72. To win: Don't get cute. Run the ball hard. Drive down and score a touchdown. Take the crowd out of the game and stop on defense. Score again.

To lose: Try to score quick on big passing plays. Go three and out two more times while the defense is on their heels.

    ReplyDelete
  73. zach just sucked. wow. pitiful.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Anonymous9:14 PM

Tubs is a done deal, it's officially over, there's no hope against UGA, Bama, or Ole Miss.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Any route that isn't a straight down the sideline route, Etheridge is always out of place.

The game winning TD vs LSU was the 1st one...and it's happened ever since then.

He almost gave up a TD on a dropped pass earlier today on something like that.

Q just said after Burns got his foot stepped on he changed his footwork and now he's not stepping into the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous9:14 PM

If we do score, might as well try another onside kick. No way we stop their offense.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Auburn has been so sloppy on defense. It's amazing ... perhaps even more than the offensive problems.

    ReplyDelete
  78. We better hope we can do something on offense here.

    ReplyDelete
  79. The wheels are officially coming off.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Anonymous9:15 PM

At least the Rays are up 4-0

    ReplyDelete
  81. Jay, get ready to spend a lot more time than usual around the football complex in the coming weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Anonymous9:15 PM

Why can every other team adjust to our offense, but we can't adjust to anyone? Granted our offense generally sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  83. we were on their 20
I went to kick the dog and came back.

    WVU was scoring

    What happened>

    ReplyDelete
  84. Anonymous9:15 PM

I'm sure Nallsminger will come up with something!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Listen to Stan White talking about lack of coaching!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Is burns shooting a free throw on the screen pass?

    ReplyDelete
  87. 66 & 68 diving/laying on the ground instead of actualy blocking

    ReplyDelete
  88. Anonymous9:16 PM

Defensive problems...playing a team with a system you don't see. A QB with playmaking ability and a lot fo experience.

    ReplyDelete
  89. we can do this!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I can't believe how fast this season turned.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Anonymous9:16 PM

100%. Tubs is done. Take your DC with you. And please take Ben Tate with you.

    ReplyDelete
  92. What did Ben Tate do that was so bad?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Holding on Auburn, where's the pass interference?

    ReplyDelete
  94. So Jay G, who is on your short list of head coaching candidates?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hold on Lee Ziemba?

    Really?

    ReplyDelete
  96. ziemba the great
    !

    ReplyDelete
  97. Anonymous9:17 PM

Time to start the serious discussions on the next head coach.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Burns seems to think our receivers can catch with their shoe tops when he is rushed.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Anonymous9:18 PM

I missed seeing a chunk of this (listened on radio), but the same thing that happened with LSU and Vandy is happening here.

The Offense has sputtered and the Defense is getting beat late.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Anonymous9:18 PM

I said before this game that it would be huge, now we'll get to watch and see.

I don't think we'll see Auburn in the national picture for a while.

    A long while.

    ReplyDelete
  101. What's the final sore on this one? I say 34-17

    ReplyDelete
  102. I love me some Ziemba

    ReplyDelete
  103. Ok, does anyone work with our QB's about their footwork.

I've said it all year long, has anyone seen a fast QB like Burns who has worse footwork?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Anonymous9:19 PM

    41-17

    ReplyDelete
  105. Anonymous9:19 PM

We don't have the peeps to have a quick score.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Anonymous9:19 PM

    Tubs, we hardly knew ye.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Mr. Sensible- The defense has been getting beat all game. They were lucky to have 2 pics. Not one punt tonight by WV.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Anonymous9:19 PM

How did we not recover that???

    ReplyDelete
  109. How did Goggins not get that ball?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Anonymous9:20 PM

Okay, time to see if WVU really does have a punter.

    ReplyDelete
  111. The first punt by WV!

    ReplyDelete
  112. YES!!!!

    1st punt of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Still 10 minutes left. Two more possessions. Someone tell Emsminger to stop trying to get the score on every play.

We need good, 5-8 yard plays.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Anonymous9:20 PM

    1st punt

    ReplyDelete
  115. Why isn't Dunn back to return kicks?

    ReplyDelete
  116. This game is over....Jay will you be in AU tomorrow?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Sullivan,

We are trying to score on every play??

I haven't seen anything close to an attempt to score on one play in about 3 years.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Anonymous9:22 PM

Tate's useless against a defense with any speed. He's too softfooted, too.

Easy to see 5-7 will be the final record and you can lay at least 50% of the blame on that sorry ass defense.

The only reason Auburn looked half way decent early was two gifts from White.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Anonymous9:22 PM

you can dislike what i say but its the truth..

we have a serious coaching issue... we have 1 game plan and do well, the half comes and the opposition makes adjustments we do not....

we tried to blame specific players, we tried to blame a system, we tried to blame one coach.. but the fact is win or lose this game showes that our asst. coaches are not doing thier job getting these kids ready.

I can only have faith TOmmy will do the right thing come ytear end... if he gets the opp.

    I personally think he should.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Anonymous9:23 PM

Does Tubs even finish the season? I'm thinking the powers that be don't want a win at Bama (as if that's possible) to get in the way of sending Tubs into retirement as a very wealthy man.

    ReplyDelete
  121. They're trying low-percentage plays. Trying too hard to get big chunks. Need to go back to 5 yard runs. We can win this game.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I just don't understand how we could be this awful. I haven't seen Auburn play this bad in years. I really thought those days were over. I dread work tomorrow. All those Bama fans will be crowing. Alabama will kill us this year.

    ReplyDelete
  123. That play has not worked all night.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Anonymous9:23 PM

    welcome butch Davis

    ReplyDelete
  125. Anonymous9:23 PM

Tate can't turn the corner? Do the coaches watch the flipping game?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Anonymous9:24 PM

If I see Tate run outside again, my head will explode.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Tate between the tackles is a good RB...the outside runs just don't work.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Our best plays in the last few possessions have been Kodi scrambling.

    Hawthorne can't catch a cold.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Anonymous9:25 PM

The team has quit, plain and simple, that ball should have been caught without a doubt.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Hawthorne can catch every pass out of bounds, but one right to him is dropped.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Anonymous9:25 PM

That dropped pass pretty much completes it, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  132. Three and out or a turnover...or it's over.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Anonymous9:26 PM

    its happened all year

    ReplyDelete
  134. Anonymous9:26 PM

How many times this season have we failed to recover a fumble on a punt return? We are cursed.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Again...16 points in our last 5 games in the 2nd half.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Still possible, but we'll need a turnover to seal it.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I was on the fence about CTT before tonight. Should he stay or should he go?

    Not anymore.

I'm not going to rant about it now, but I am done with CTT and this entire staff.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Cameraman calling out Hawthorne

    ReplyDelete
  139. Anonymous9:27 PM

    he is fast

    ReplyDelete
  140. That is crazy. Devine is punking our defense!

    ReplyDelete
  141. No one stayed home. Over pursuit.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Anonymous9:27 PM

Tubs needs to throw something to get us fired up

    ReplyDelete
  143. They're getting runners in space - unlike every play Tony Franklin called.

    ReplyDelete
  144. WVA ... now up over 400 yards.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Anonymous9:28 PM

This spread off. is pretty good....

was it the system or the coaching..

    ReplyDelete
  146. Anonymous9:28 PM

Tubs has single handedley burned the AU football program to the ground

    ReplyDelete
  147. Guess all the asst coaches are too effin stupid to realize if Tuberville goes, their jobs aren't safe

    ReplyDelete
  148. Four times Auburn has lost a game in which it led by more than 10 points.

    There's your number.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Anonymous9:29 PM

No leadership, they don't even care.

  152. Anonymous9:30 PM

    Jay G, $6M, that's your number.

    ReplyDelete
  153. The team has given up. I haven't seen this in a long long time. But I was a part of the last team that did this. The 99 team had more fight and heart than this team, and it didn't have half the players.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Our D hasn't been this bad since the UGA game last year...but the stats have lied a lot this year about how good we've been on D. We happened to play UT, MSU, Vandy, USM & ULM who have struggled all year to move the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  155. What happened to our tackling? No one is wrapping up! Too bad. The offense was doing well early.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Anonymous9:30 PM

Jay, does Tubs get canned at the end of the year or is there any chance they cut him loose before season end?

    ReplyDelete
  157. Yep, I think Tommy's loyalty to his assistants all these years have probably cost him his job. I think he knows it too.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Anonymous9:31 PM

    its over...

    ReplyDelete
  159. The team has given up. I have not seen this in a long long time. The 99 team had way more heart than this team, and it didn't have half the players.

    ReplyDelete

Coaches are busy working on their resumes.

when is tuby getting fired? monday?

    ReplyDelete
  166. Eddie ... your comment certainly seems correct.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Totally outcoached and outplayed, FRIGGIN EMBARASSING!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Anonymous9:31 PM

I don't mind losing, but this is ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Does Tub make it to the Alabama game?

    ReplyDelete
  170. Anonymous9:32 PM

Who would be interim coach if he is let go mid season?

    ReplyDelete
  171. Mike linebacker suckered bad. Safety not at home. You can even see the WVU running backs LEANING in the direction of the play. How tough can it be to read the play?

    ReplyDelete
  172. it's down right bizzare

    ReplyDelete
  173. Anonymous9:33 PM

rk, no way, they can't risk him winning, you can't fire a guy after beating bama 7 years in a row.

    Let the coaching search begin.

    Dang, what a year.

while i remember good things said about spencer p on this board, i'm amazed at his terrible reads / over agressiveness that takes him out of plays...... see he has mcneil with him on the outside, charges forward, nobody home on the devine td.

    ReplyDelete
  181. I have opened a new thread for venting and ranting and that kind of discussion.

All I ask: Avoid cussing, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  182. maybe tubbs denied a stroke too soon

    ReplyDelete
  183. Anonymous9:35 PM

    Mushchamp ???

    He is not ready...

    ReplyDelete
  184. This was a lot like the Vandy game, but WVU has an offense.

    ReplyDelete
  185. RK, it depends on how Tubs takes it. I believe he will have the opportunity to coach thru the bama game, but will he???? I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Need to tell some of our coaches they might as well be sitting in those burning couches, they're definitely in the hot seat.
