Polling the HOTTIES

As a service to you, the HOTTIES, I'm proposing a weekly community-wide chat. We'd do this during football season and selected other times when conditions merit.

I would hold the chat right here with a widget/java program that would NOT require any kind of registration or goobly-gook like that.

a.) Would you be interested in that?

b.) If you are interested, when is the most convenient time for you?

To consider: Wednesdays and Thursdays tend to be a little slower around here, though new information is flowing more freely on Sundays and Mondays.

  2. Yes,

    4pm

Course any time I can exchange in meaningful discourse with other hotties is fine with me.

Have I said this is the hottest blog on the net yet?

  3. aaahhhh. you guys forget about us on eastern time. i'll be headed to the house @ 4pm CT. the earliest i could get online would be 5:30 CT. no biggie, though. i'll get in when i fit in.

i understand the time, though. get a good hour in before the work whistle blows. 4pm on thursdays sounds good to me.

  5. I'm thinking Thursdays, too.

  6. Anonymous3:25 PM

Thursday afternoons are typically better for me. Later in the week is prolly better anyway...not as much re-hashing going on.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Anonymous3:37 PM

True. Rehashing turns to discovering the firing process, to let's kick some ass and go Tony by Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like Thursdays. Very slow, generally speaking.

    Thursdays work at 4pm eastern

  10. Looking like Thursday afternoons ...

Can Tez Doolittle be a live guest? He kept chasing Foster down for a defense even though he had already been on the ground once after first point of contact...in front of the line of scrimmage.

    ReplyDelete
  12. later in the evening thursday 6 ish just my vote

    ReplyDelete
  13. Tez is my kind of player. We won two national championships in the 80s and made trips to the final four on several occasions with players with his attitude.

    Alrighty then.

  20. Looks like we'll set a tentative date of TOMORROW (10/2) at 4 p.m.

I'll post the chat widget/java console on the blog like a regular entry and we'll go from there.

I may be running a test tonight. If you see some weird stuff going on, don't be alarmed.

If you hear sheep nagging, maybe you should turn away.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm in for next week. Appointment tomorrow.

I had the chance to catch some Shane on the way home today. Somebody should come out with a reality show called The Biggest Idiot. He would win the damn thing GOING AWAY. I have never heard another homo sapien as stupid as he is. Ever.

    ReplyDelete
  22. well, it's not humpday content, but it's close. cool.

will there be structure, or more of an avant-garde free-for-all chat session with the hotties?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Is this a Finebaum creation?

    ReplyDelete
  24. speaking of which, good hump day content today.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Shane is one of the Cappie boys. He calls Finebaum every day.

    ReplyDelete
  26. re: Finebaum creation.

My familiarity with the one you speak stopped a couple of lines into the only article I've ever read by him. He seemed to make even a generally negative guy like me into a sunshine pumper, so I got bored and moved on.

Now, what does that have to do with avant-garde free-for-all with the hotties? My ignorance of the man has caused my confusion.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Scottie B ... it looks like I'm out on the road trip. I'm scheduled to become an uncle friday morning.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Finebaum is a very nice man in person.

He's not that way once he hits the studio. I find that odd. He's basically a big faker in the sense that "Paul Finebaum" isn't really Paul Finebaum.

    Boo.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Also, is anyone going to WVA?

I'm staying in Pittsburgh. Did anyone else elect to approach the trip via PIT?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think I am going to that one.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like Paul just fine, it's Shane that makes me want to pull over and vomit my Salsarita's.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wait a minute. What day is it?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous5:35 PM

Phred, Shane's 100% fiction. He's also not who he is on radio in person. I know him. Nice guy. Truly. Hate to disappoint. But the PFRN is a total fake.

    ReplyDelete
  34. So he's just pretending to be stupid?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous5:41 PM

Yes. He really is. It's his job to provide conspiracy theories that are anti Auburn. Think Finebaum. Think sponsors. Think 70% of the state's allegiance.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anonymous5:42 PM

finebaum would be cooler if he was an auburn fan.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Had to pull out the eraser there.

Remember that we have (a few) kids roaming the halls there.

    ReplyDelete
  38. You heard it here first:

    Shane is the new Yeti.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anonymous6:20 PM

We're actually not breaking news on Shane here...totally.

Today Paul tried to bait a black caller into saying Auburn's staff was racist for not playing Kodi. The caller did not play the game. He was too good of a man.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Did somebody say something improper? I missed it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Someone said a bad word earlier, that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anonymous6:31 PM

Finebaum knows what he's doing and he does it really well. He plays both sides against each other while taking advantage of people not as smart or verbally skilled as him. It's entertainment that far far too many people take seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Finebaum has turned into an Alabama and Auburn fan impersonation contest... it's weak uninformative radio

    ReplyDelete
  44. What does a community wide chat consist of?

    ReplyDelete
  45. I said one. Whoops. Do we have level I, II, and III word distinctions?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jay Geezy and other internet video gurus. Is there any kind of video device that can send images back to a computer base in real time?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anonymous6:49 PM

I used to listen on Mondays to Finebaum to hear what Coach Dye had to say, but it always was irritating that Finebaum would be so nice and respectful to Dye, then as soon as the call was over PF and Vickers would just rip him apart.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Community-wide chat, in my mind, means that we're all in the same room. I didn't want it to seem like it would be me handling a bunch of one-on-ones where you couldn't see what everyone else was saying.

I'm aiming for a big, happy chat room ... just like the old days of AOL.

Phred: You mean like a webcam?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Anonymous6:53 PM

I mean I really dont do alot after work so any day between 5 and 6 works for me. I started off seeing alot of 4 oclocks. Geez fellas doesnt anybodt work til 5 anymore or is it we auburn fans are so sucessful that yall just leave when you feel like it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Anonymous6:53 PM

As long as we don't need Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC to monitor the chat.

Auburn Undercover's message board needed him this morning as there were about 50 porn messages in there.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous6:59 PM

Why would Pat continue to call in? Never understood that. And then Pat would play the pro Bama card, too. So, you never understood how real he was either or why he did that.

Paul and Pat got into it pretty good at the L'arche SEC Preview three years ago. Pat had a few. Paul was trying to be his radio self. Pat walked into it after take a 5 minute leak. It was Paul on stage and Pat tearing into him from the very back of the table sitting audience. Paul - mircophone. Pat - no microphone but plenty of liquid courage.

ok so i'm late. Hey who thinks Kodi starts this weekend? or did I miss CTT already saying Todd is the starter?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Anonymous7:09 PM

Funny how I call Kodi by his first name and Todd by his last. Basically...START KODI!! pretty please with a...well I dont really know what to put on top..just a physcho analysis.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anonymous7:10 PM

    Kodi's definitely starting.

    ReplyDelete
  55. a web cam I guess, except wireless and remote.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous7:19 PM

Why does every D1 team in the country with exception to Miss St, Bama and Miami have better QBs than Auburn does?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I have asked myself that same question and can come up with no good answer. I'll bet Crudup knows.

But, based on this season, can you really say Bama belongs on that list?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Robert Strichik,
I would take JP Wislon in a heartbeat right now. He's much better than Chris Todd

    ReplyDelete
  59. Anonymous7:38 PM

what does bama being on that list have to do with anything I mean it is a great point that we havent had a respectable QB since .. well ...since..i guess campbell seems to be doing alright but well I am only 24 but I cant think of one to be honest. I've heard CTT is a lazy recuiter but I dont really think there is any validity to that. Just that we are RB U

    ReplyDelete
  60. Anonymous7:41 PM

    We don't recruit QBs well.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I have a webcam built into my laptop, so it's wireless. And it's remote in the sense that it's always with me.

    I'm not working at 4 p.m.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anonymous7:48 PM

JPW is decent. But he hasn't been asked to do anything this year. Boise State has a good QB once again. La Tech does. Everybody has a guy that they feel good about. Not those three I named and especially Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  63. what I am talking about I think, would be something like sending an MMS message in real time.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Not that it matters really, but in recruiting news - our current class is ranked 7th.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Anonymous7:51 PM

finebaum is never respectful to dye anymore. this week he told him to order his hearing aids as dye was getting off the phone. it's a total joke if pat dye had any sense left he would never come on that show again.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Nah, Phred, I don't know anything like that. My iPhone can IM in real time ... but no video.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Anonymous8:02 PM

We've had our share of good QB's with Campbell, Craig, Slack & Berger during my time as a fan.

Leard, White & Nix were decent too.

We've also had several busts, bad ones & ones that didn't play or pan out with Klien, Mieko Collier, Allan Tillman, Cox, Cobb, Calvin Booker, Kelcy Luke, Gabe Gross, Josh Sullivan, Pat Washington, Jon Cooley, Corey Lewis (God rest his soul) & unfortunately right now it looks like Chris Todd and maybe Kodi Burns could join that category.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous8:02 PM

Finebaum stooped low enough to imitate the way Carnell speaks, or actually the way he used to speak as a college kid. Carnell was an extremely classy kid. He's a good man now. I found his actions to be totally clueless, classless and racist.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Anonymous8:06 PM

I wouldn't put Kodi in that class. He's a true sophmore who has been screwed with left and right. He will prevail. "And you can write that."

    ReplyDelete
  70. Anonymous8:07 PM

That's why I put "could" because he still has a chance to break the mold of Auburn QB's.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Anonymous8:10 PM

Sorry, rk. Didn't read into enough. Thanks for clarifying. I've set a PR for posts tonight. I'd better sign off. I'm feeling sort of "loose" now because of it.

    So long for now...

  72. thursday at four sounds good. i'll try to check it out. my dad's going to wva game via his rv. if you happen to see an rv with an au flag and a texas a & m flag, that's the folks. (mom's an aggie)mention my name--they'll probably offer you a beer.
