What about this week's gameplan? This ought to be a topic. You install a gameplan on, what, Tuesday? So, that definitely takes a hit this week. I'm not sure I can see Auburn winning this one downhill by any stretch. In fact, it would not surprise me to see it go the other way in the W & L column. Maybe we can get lucky like Bama did and have Casey throw it to us for no apparent reason.

  2. Did Jay say he now thinks CTT is gone unless he goes at least 8-2?

    8-2? You mean 8-4?

I think 8 wins is the minimum to keep his job...and I almost have to think he needs to at least split the UGA/Bama games as well.

    Jay G,

So you are from the Ville?

Jay's still on the broadcast. He just commented on the radio broadcast's streaming. Sexy conversation.

Tubs might be able to survive loses to both Alabama and Georgia. But if either is blowout and the offense still looks inept and can't score or move the ball....it might spell trouble for Coach T.

My wife is from Louisville as well.

    Did you live there long?

Is being born in Louisville and going to UK is close to being born in Auburn and going to UA?

Here's the deal. Tuberville just fired a man in mid season that runs in circles with tons of high school coaches. Whether it was cleary justified or not, Tony's not afraid to write a book. No panic here. But I don't think there's any long term good in this. Immediately? Maybe they will a game or two that they would not have won trying to force a "square peg in a round hole". The attitude and awareness this has created with the fan base is damaging to the program in many ways.

  12. I married a girl from Louisville, so we have that in common.

UK's appeal is pretty much state-wide. U of L's appeal doesn't extend much beyond Jefferson County.

    That's objective analysis.

I've only been to Kentucky to visit her family a few times, so I didn't know how deep the U of L/UK state rivalry goes.

Do how soon do you think Franklin will hit the media rounds telling his side of the story?

How damaging could something he say be to Tub and his staff?

    "So" not "Do

  15. It's not a given that Franklin will spout off.

It's certainly possible -- it's my goal to get reaction from him today -- but he's smart enough to know how that could affect his future.

    It's a toss-up.

  16. JG, you were the one to break the Jet-Gate story a few years back, weren't you?

does this story trump your Petrino feature for Sat?

who said Thursdays were slow around the HABOTN, eh?

So when is Tubs going to meet with Gus Mazahlan for an interview?

I agree with Crupup on this one. I don't think this situation is good at all. Short term or long-term.

Rush Probst(I know he is a bammer) said this am that probably the wrong guy was fired. I don't like Probst, I'm just repeating what I heard.

  19. I'm still considering my Saturday options. I don't know what will happen.

I already had stuff written for Saturday's editions that now has to be completely restructured.

I'm not sure I'll have time to get to Petrino! Ugh. I thought it would be a good story.

  20. I thought jet-gate first reported by Pat Forde. Did Jay have a hand in it?

  21. Forde and I worked together on that story, so we "broke" it concurrently.

We worked for the same company at the time. Hence the cooperation.
