Campfire notice

I'll be running a campfire tonight to help you all consolidate a week's worth of happenings.

Let's kick it off @ 9 p.m. CST.

That's 1 p.m. Friday afternoon in Guam.

  1. kewl, see yall at nine-ish

  2. tigerfan, I think as this site gets more popular an unfortunate side effect will be new people posting so called "inside info".

I cant speak for all the real hotties, but I'm pretty sure if we knew something like FOR SURE that we would not have posted it on the comments. We would have sent an e-mail to Jay G. and let him find out the right way.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I said that as a joke on here yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Wish my 401k would grow as fast as this board Kristina.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I don't mind the board growing as long as the quality of comments remains consisent.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Can someone tell me what time that the campfire will be on the dark side of the moon?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well, I've got Eddie covered in Guam.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Jay did you see my comments about the radio...think you and I should do a show together JD and Jay G.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Tuberville isn't resigning.

I have deleted those posts because it's just reckless.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Biscuit ... on which network should we broadcast?

    ReplyDelete
  11. and THAT is why this is the HABOTN

    BOO-YAH

    ReplyDelete
  12. lets get the dead time between longshore & mcknight and doug & josh. Instead of the trivia girls we could have the walter pulley hour once a week where he tells us a bout lee high school, momma, and the winn dixie on carter hill.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Alright. I think that clears it up.

Sorry, au22 and others ... you weren't the bad guy. Your comments didn't make sense after stuff was cleaned up.

    ReplyDelete
  14. banhammer someone for that crapola!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Anonymous7:06 PM

I think Jay needs to make folks use their actual names..

    No more Fake names...

    ReplyDelete
  16. FSJ will you allow me to continue to post as the biscuitator as long as I get this out there.

Okay hello everyone I will say that my name is Michael although I post as the biscuitator and call in to 740 as JD. Now my friends know that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Faker - I want to see you modeling your "muscle" HABOTN shirt when you get it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Greatest comeback every in sportsradio history.

Moon: Jay, did you hear about the stolen merchandise from the Tenn Martin locker room in the game this past weekend?

    Jay G: Really?

Moon: Yeah like $2,500 worth of electronics.

Jay G: Thats like 1 MAC computer.

I was rolling on the floor laughing at that point.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Cash money says that story disappears. I mean, Auburn had two security guards stationed at the door. There was no forced entry.

    Something's not adding up here.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Phred is not my real name. Just sayin'.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Whoo hoo! I heart the HABOTN! Nicely handled Mr. Tate.

I would totally listen to JD and Jay G. Monica and I can be your trivia girls.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Have giggle box. Will travel.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jay:

So true...that is just like one MAC computer...especially if you bought a MBP....

    ReplyDelete
  24. Really you don't by that Jay? I thought that the story was very fishy. It was hard for me to believe that stuff would be stolen in a secure a place as the Auburn Visiting Locker room. I mean all of those yellow shirt people out there and someone sneaks in and steals. Riiiight. I mean this isn't The U as in Univ of Miami.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous7:25 PM

can someone tell me how to post name. I am ribs. Yeah a full rack. I want a xl maybe 2xl on the shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Okay it's settled that MonD and the zoo keeper will now be the trivia girls for Jay G and JD radio. We don't have to have opened giggle try outs now so I am very happy.

    ReplyDelete
  27. By the way, Apple has refurbished MPBs right now for $1349 each.

Incredible deal ... if you're into that sort of thing.

    Also, MacBooks for $849.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think Sensi should have a role if we're doing HABOTN radio.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Dang it...I wish I had looked there before I bought my MBP.....

The screws were put to me..... :-(

    ReplyDelete
  30. anonymous - go here

    https://google.com/accounts/

and sign up for an account
come back to the blog and sign in

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anon Ribs
If you just want to put your name up there, then click on the circle next to name/url. your name will show as black. If you would like to have a blue name, you have to register with google or blogspot.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Totally agree, Jay. Mr. S should been there for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Is this on the Apple website you say?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Can we hire Sensi on as our producer/fact guy. I would also like him to be the guy who does the ESPN score updates. But during those updates Sensi could just say funny lines that would make people laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Would it be possible for Me and Sensi (due to your beat writing obligations Jay) to broadcast the games and host the real real post game show?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Kristina:

I believe there is a section on the Apple website where they have refurbished equipment. It is usually in excellent condition. Pretty good discounts.

I'm impatient and went to the Apple store in Birmingham....Got suckered in there. Hippie chick. Peace, Love, Rock N Roll & out walks FSJ with a brand new MBP.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Biscuit is putting a lot of thought into this.

Ooo ooo, Can I can be the obligatory girl on the sideline. You can throw it down to me for inury reports and I can ask the coaches stupid questions at the half, like "Coach, your team is down 42-0. How do you think your team is playing right now?"

    ReplyDelete
  38. Did that hippie chick look or sound like one Phred?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah Kristina,

Only a zoo keeper could keep the sidelines under wrap in the Jungle...

    I am so funny

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thank you fsj. I will be looking into that...

    ReplyDelete
  41. No...she was HAWT....

Something about the chick stoner sound...I can't quite explain why though.....

    ReplyDelete
  42. Are refurbs safe purchases? I have always wondered that...

    ReplyDelete
  43. Damn. $1249 for MBPs.

    Ugh. I paid $1699.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mr. Tate, you go above and beyond, dude. You are THE man!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nows a good time to get the refurbs. The new models are out and the prices should come down on the previous model.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I buy only refurbs from Apple.

Same warranty as buying new. Only problems I've had are the typical stuff you'd expect from any computer.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I can't speak for apple products but I have bought sony refurbs before and have had no problems.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I understand. she drug the vowels in her words didn't she.
    Something like this

Soooo, Mr. Faaake Steevee. Whaaat dooo yooouuu thiink abooout this ooone. It's liiike sooo sweeeet.

    ReplyDelete
  49. $1999----->>>>>

I think I want to puke.

    ReplyDelete
  50. A sign of the times for the HABOTN is more people with inside information who get it from a friend (substitute family member, girlfriend etc) of a player but they didn't want to post until now because _________ insert reason here.
The more reckless the lie, the more likely they are to post the lie.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I also buy open box stuff from Best Buy.

    I'd admit it: I'm cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am a professional blogger.

Not a ton of money in it, but I have fun and meet cool people.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Denny,

my favorite part of that is when they say something but won't tell you why like they can't release that information. It cracks me up. So you have no problem breaking a story that will dominate headlines but not telling us why? I also like how insiders pass information off to people who either post on websites or call talk radio show. It really cracks me up because sometimes I think they actually believe themselves!

    ReplyDelete
  54. biscuit...

I've bought several refurb cell phones, with no problems...

I have commitment issues when it comes to technology and cell phones in particular.

Over the past two years, I've had the Blackberry Curve, Treo 750, iPhone 2G & iPhone 3G. I usually end up giving the old phone to my wife or sister. They haven't bought a phone in years.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Jay speaking of open box. Last week I bought opened box surround set for best buy it was like $300 off the regular price and sounds great.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Jay G,

Since I am Scottish descent, I admire your frugality. Never be ashamed of being frugal young man.

    ReplyDelete
  57. My biggest problem is that i don't normally take the time to see what things are going for on the secondary markets. I'm lazy like that and it costs me in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks, Denny.

I listen to men with your credentials.

    ReplyDelete
  59. OMG I am having to currently explain the Hurts Donut joke to the biscuette (Mrs. Biscuitator)

    ReplyDelete
  60. I bought a really cool Pioneer receiver for my Hi Fi that was the floor model and it still going great 16 years later.

    ReplyDelete
  61. My iPhone hasn't been the life-changing realization I thought it would be.

    It's cool and all.

    Internet? Not really.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I know a dude who will go to Sams and buy electronics that have been returned because they dont work for some reason. He gets them super cheap, obviously. But the warranty is still good so he sends them to the manufacturer and gets them fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I agree. I've been disappointed in it.

I would love to check out the Blackberry Bold, but don't want to shell out that kind of money right now....

    ReplyDelete
  64. Call of Duty until 8.

    The Office: 8

    30 Rock: 8:30

    Campfire: 9

    Wifey watches ER dreck: 9

    ReplyDelete
  65. Jay,

What camera do you use to take your pictures at the stadium?

I need a good digital camera that isn't going to break me....

    ReplyDelete
  66. Denny you're scottish I'm Irish together we make one cheap @$$ board.

Don't know if I can beat the Denny Pioneer Reciever deal though.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Same can be said for my smartphone from Verizon. The internet on it is not so great. It is good for keeping up on email.

    Jay G,

When do start getting into basketball in earnest?

    ReplyDelete
  68. I am getting the Blackberry Storm which is released on a week from Friday.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I will start getting into basketball in earnest tomorrow at the game.

    ReplyDelete
  70. We bought our Sony Bravia 1,600 inch LCD as a display model. Last one they had. 1/2 price + warranty. It's been fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Next HC idea, and forgive if it's already been said.

    Turner Gill.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Jay can I accompany you one day in the box to serve as your "stat guy" or something? It would also really help with HABOTN Radio.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Anonymous7:49 PM

what is vogue black or blue.

    ReplyDelete
  74. blue is the new black

    ReplyDelete
  75. Biscuit...

Is the Storm coming out on Verizon or AT&T?

    I can't remember....

    ReplyDelete
  76. I bought the receiver from Circuit City back when all the salesmen wore cheap looking blazers and got on you like white on rice when you walked in the door.

I like to buy steaks at the grocery that go on sale, but you need to grill them that night or the next, if you know what I mean.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Allright The Biscuette and I are getting some dinner. We will talk back to you at the campfire!

    ReplyDelete
  78. For the 8th week this season, auburnsports.com has declared Mario Fannin as possibly being a big part of the Auburn offense.

    Two problems with this.

First, like I said, it's about the 8th time. And it hasn't happened yet. Why would it happen now?
Secondly, why would you tell the world what you plan to do, especially when you're trying desperately to find some sort of formula that works?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Storm is on Verizon FSJ. I've had to watch everyone walk around with the iPhones for the last year so they can watch me and my Storm.

    ReplyDelete
  80. LMAO Denny you're not gonna be thinking frugal when that cheap stake costs you a trip to the ER.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Its "aged" is all. Thats what they do in steak houses anyway, right.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Gran was pushing Fannin in an interview today.

    ReplyDelete
  83. riiiiight... :-)

    ReplyDelete
  84. And those blue spots on the old bread are blueberries.

    ReplyDelete
  85. The blue spots are cheap penicillin

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hey all. I've missed alot this afternoon.

First, Thanks Jay for taking care of me in Guam.

Secondly, the T-shirt design rocks. Thanks for whoever came up with it.

3rdly- Bring back blue. Orange is New Coke.

    ReplyDelete
  87. LOL @ Kristina - Now THAT is frugal. Keep those kids doctor's visits down.

    ReplyDelete
  88. "Cheap penicillin"- Classic.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Laugh all you want. My kids are never sick! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  90. That Storm has bugs in it. RIM does well by not putting devices out there that have issues. But the Storm has them.

Also, Verizon doesn't want to open it up for GPS for som bogus claim that it screws with bandwidth.

"The Network" is such a PR stunt.

It won't hush up th iPhone.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I find that these new phones that purport to be both a cell phone and an internet device do neither very well.

And in regards to all of the tumult going on with our beloved Auburn Tigers, I have this to say:

Now is the winter of our discontent
    Made glorious summer by this son of York;

i am waiting on the google account setup. i will then be blue.

Jay, do you think neal mcready would want a t shirt. You need to call shervanian and promote the HABOTN.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Muschamp-

Rim product are much better at emails.

Iphone- much better with apps and media device. I like the Iphone a lot better than the Blackberry 8300 series, but the email feature does not come close on the iphone.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I am a RIM guy. Have been for years. But the iPhone does some things differently and some of that makes a lot of sense. BlackBerry is all about business.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Anonymous8:12 PM

I'm all about the HABOTN radio.

    Just say the word.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Anonymous8:13 PM

    Jay-G,
I know the campfire is about to begin but I want to place my order for 2 shirts.

    ReplyDelete
  98. If we have HABOTN radio, I want to play the part of Lorne from Georgia. I want to be able to say that the orange gatorade is keeping the players refreshed and all that other great info he delivers from the sideline.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I can see it now: Fannin rushes for 200 yds, Swinton catches 10 for 165 and afterward Tubs says,"We knew all along they could play like this, we were just holding back until the preseason was over and the real games began." I may have to go to Mexico for discount Prozac.

    ReplyDelete
  100. When do all the Christmas specials start? You know, How the Grinch stole Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Charlie Brown Christmas, Scooge with Alistar Sims or George C. Scott.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I'm in non the t-shirts by the way and as cheesy as I think it is hook me up on some facebook mon

    ReplyDelete

  103. Anonymous8:27 PM

    IM PUMPED!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Denny- Not too far away, I'm already seeing them show up on my upcomming programs list. Larry the Cable Guy has his Christmas special on Nov. 18th. IT's crazy how soon Christmas is getting forced on us.

    ReplyDelete
  105. wartiger - was there a Facebook message in that for me? Or was that a Jamaican mon?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Denny - Can you believe my Greg had never seen Charlie Brown Christmas when I met him!? I've brought so much culture to his life.

    ReplyDelete
  107. You know what is sad, is that I was actually watching Christmas Story last week. I love that movie. One of my all time favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  108. i am now officially blue. word is tubbs is being very lazy in recruiting, esp in the mobile area. Sabaer was in foley 45 to 60 times during legal recruiting periods. Tubbs 4. saban would fly down on a monday night and have dinner at a local [place where julios mom was manager. Just to talk. where was tubbs, banking tf would be the savior. Does tubbs still have the brimestone and fire that seperates the good from te bad. we are trending backwaord not forward.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Eddie - You're a big softie (except for your bus violence towards me).

    ReplyDelete
  110. no. it was for you monica.. I crapped on your facebook the first time you mentioned it but it seems to have blown up and I think it's worth checking out..so what I got to do? as far as the campfire I won't be able to make it..5:30 comes early..and one last thing I am going to the game this weekend alone and would like to meet some of the Hotties that maybe there so anybody wanna meet wartiger?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Welcome to the blue, WJohnson. Is there fire in the CTT belly? This is one of the several $6 mill questions.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Hey all. I am back. Mr. S. you and me and Jay G hosting HABOTN Radio? Does your show accept call ins I'll make my debut on it if you would like.

Also, will someone send me the link to where we do the campfire again. I am on a different CPU.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Anonymous8:45 PM

how do you delete your post

    ReplyDelete
  114. You know it is only fairly recent times that Christmas was holiday. In fact it wasn't until the 1820s that Christmas began to be celebrated nationwide. Congress was in session numerous times on Christmas day. In Scotland, it wasn't until the early 20th century that Christmas actually celebrated.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Monica- $6 Million says we find out if Tubs has that fire.

    ReplyDelete
  116. lol ok Wartiger - just go to www.facebook.com and set yourself up an account then add me. You can find me using my email address.

    Do all that first.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  118. Denny- And now we celebrate it 3 months.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Anonymous - Click the little trash can under your post to delete it.

    Campfire - www.chatroll.com

Denny - veritable font of information.

    ReplyDelete
  120. The same religious denominations that speak of putting Christ back into Christmas ( Puritans, Baptists, Quakers, and Presbyterians ) disapproved of Christmas in the early history of this country while Lutherans, Catholics, and Anglicans approved of the holiday.

    ReplyDelete
  121. War Tiger- Your 24 and going to bed early? I get up at 5am eastern time, but I will be at the campfire :). As far as meeting other Hotties, I would like to have a HABOTN Tailgate someday.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Denny- Good for the anglicans, I'm Episcopalian.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I see your point eddie however I drink to much and am under some real pressure at owrk at the moment so yeah 5:30 comes early if I am going to preform at the proper level

    ReplyDelete
  124. same here, if it weren't for Anglicans, we would all be subjected to the tyranny of the bishop of Rome.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Are we going to have a HABOTN Christmas party?

    ReplyDelete
  126. sent the friend request monica..more of a myspace guy myself..kinda hooked on the mobster thing

    ReplyDelete
  127. Anonymous8:55 PM

    ReplyDelete
  129. It's right under the time stamp on your post.

    ReplyDelete
  130. HABOTN radio....i like it. JG and Mr. Sensible. that's good stuff right there.

special guest appearances by eddie, monica, and the rest of the hotties.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Here is what's sad, my trivia score on the Auburn group on facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I'll get a pic added to my facebook but like I said myspace it what I use for the monment but with this HABOTN rolling on facebook it maybe falling behind

    ReplyDelete
  133. I bet you can roll with both, Wartiger. You got skills.

    ReplyDelete
