Welcome. I saw the guy who coordinates program sales earlier and he was asking for more, so that means there are 1,000 people here. I'm amazed.
HALFTIME
ASU 29, Auburn 24: And it would have been worse if Tay Waller hadn't hit a double-clutch three with less than a minute remaining. The Hornets are playing with more fervor overall, though Barber is bringing it. Frankie Sullivan is off his game. Waller hasn't been a big part of the offense. Nobody is playing an assertive role for Auburn.
FOURTH TO @ 3:25
ASU 23, Auburn 21: The Hornets went nearly seven minutes without a bucket until just a moment before the timeout. Their turnover problem is back. Auburn has been getting some decent shots and missing them. Nobody has a hot hand, per se.
THIRD TO @ 7:57
ASU 21, Auburn 17: Barber scored on a nice hook shot. The Hornets' offense makes sense, but the last few shots were lazy. They stopped attacking the inside. Surely they'll go back to that.
GAME STOPPED @ 8:29
Clock problem. Looks like the shot clock is buggin'.
LEBO CALLS TO @ 10:16
ASU 21, Auburn 15: The Hornets hit threes on back-to-back possessions and the home team looked confused on offense. That's a reset.
SECOND TO @ 11:43
Auburn 15, ASU 12: The Hornets' point guard, Brandon Brooks, wears a mohawk. That's pretty cool. ASU has some play-makers, so the Tigers won't be able to blow this team out. This game is competitive.
FIRST TO @ 15:07
Auburn 9, ASU 7: The Hornets were sloppy early, committing turnovers on four of their first seven possessions, but seemed to settle in. Auburn seems to be moving the ball more fluidly around the perimeter. Passing is more crisp than the last time I saw Les Tigres.

ReplyDeleteI'm the man JayG!
How's the game tonight!
Hey Jay G.
ReplyDeleteAny celebs in the stands tonight.... like Sir Charles by any chance?
No Barkley sightings, though Kristina and Earl allegedly are here.
ReplyDeletewhatttttt ?
ReplyDeletereally.... you need to give them a shout out! score?
1000? Pretty good for Christmas week.
ReplyDeleteI figure Alabama's attendance will be less than 1000 by the end of the year....
seriously?????? over 1,000 peeps there? wow. i missed the over/under big time. that's great, though.
ReplyDeletehopefully they'll come out in good spirits after the good game at UVA.
go les tigres!
competitive? BOOOO....HISSSSSSS.
ReplyDeletewe want a blowout!
Damn Scottb
ReplyDeletei'm introuble then i said over/under would be 5,000 cuz i figured ASU would bring 4,000 themselves....i heard they travel well.hahahahaha
This is a fun game to watch!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad for that.
Jay G.
ReplyDeleteyou must give us score.... we should be up almost 20 by now!
BLOWOUT.....BLOWOUT....BLOWOUT....
ASU 21-17
ReplyDeleteAuN, i was joking earlier today saying the over/under should be 125. i keed, i keed. still, 1,000 is better than i thought but still sad.
ReplyDeletei remember my senior year student season tickets sold in immediately so i had to buy a full price one so i wouldn't miss anything. the CLIFF DWELLERS were rocking back in 99 and 00. good times. i never missed a game. seriously, we had to get there 1-2 hrs early. my how things have changed. i miss Porter and the 'fro-meter' somebody used to bring.
on another note, ESPN HD is like the best thing ever. i'll take a 1-hr hiatus to watch PRISON BREAK then back for more MNF.
ReplyDeleteI SEE IT ON GAMETRACKER NOW JAYG.
ReplyDeletethanks....
ScottieB i know you were so was I
I was a freshman during Wimp's last year at Alabama and you couldn't get a student ticket...Now I am sure they are giving them away.
ReplyDeleteWimp's last team had four NBA players on the squad. Amazing that they didn't win more.
If you thought Wimp was a wet blanket, you oughta see Jim Sanderson at Faulkner.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen him in a good mood ... and I covered him winning the NAIA title in 2001.
FSJ, i'm thinking Horry, Spreewell.... who else?
ReplyDelete6 degrees/-8 wind chill in Chicago for MNF.
ReplyDeleteThat would be chilly.
But not as chilly as my reception of Lebo if he lets ASU beat him tonight ... especially after last year's near miss.
James Robinson and Jason Caffey, although Caffey was a freshman on that team.
ReplyDeleteHow many kids that foursome have?
ReplyDeleteA bunch I am sure...
ReplyDeleteYeah Jay...
ReplyDeleteWimp was a jackleg....
Ironically David Hobbs was a genuinely nice guy. I talked with him several times outside the coliseum while standing in line for football tickets.
Jay, i forgot to ask.... who is on the cover of this enormously sought after program tonite? Q? Vot?
ReplyDeleteJet,
ReplyDeletewell start worrying
ASU-25 AU-21 2:56 left 1st qtr.
I like David Hobbs and his wife, Skeet. Definitely good people.
ReplyDeleteTonight's cover boy is Aubie Claus.
Television is terrible tonight. Olberman and the Today Show are the most interesting things on, and both are simply collages of stuff I've already seen.
ReplyDeleteWe need to win this one bad. It is all part of my strategy to convince all Bama fans that basketball is really what is important. We must be successful.
ReplyDeleteOK crew, who wins?
ReplyDeleteBoise or TCU?
Aubie Claus. nice. what a collector's item. pick me up one. :)
ReplyDeletePF, wait just 9 more minutes. PRISON BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!
and dude, it's the BEARS n PACKERS! what more do you want?
Boise.
ReplyDeleteno clue why, though.
TCU, cuz their Defense!
ReplyDeleteOh, Auburn will win, but that's just spending most of the cash you earned by beating an ACC team on the road.
ReplyDeleteI say TCU over Boise State. I give TCU the edge because technically Boise isn't really a state so they lack legitimacy.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, HOT (AUnMobile's new name for Home of ThyssenKrupp), plus you're the hottest thing in these parts with your perpetual blasts.
ReplyDeleteI give the edge to TCU mainly due to a real defense.
ReplyDeleteSecond half thread is UP.
