Kris-no he hasn't been a DC. But he wants a coordinator position in the pursuit of being a HC someday. My thinking was Chizik is going to run his own defense, but RG could assume the DC title and learn from Chizik in that role. RG has been around SEC football for years, and he is a beast in recruiting. My hope is Jacobs is secretly assisting jet in his RG pursuit.
It would take that title to get him away from Georgia, and what you say does make sense. DC is one position that we can afford to take a chance on a guy with zero experience in that capacity.
