    ReplyDelete
  4. Has it been mentioned that Blackmon and Slaughter not coming back next year.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Anonymous7:39 PM

kathy, i concur. even though our season should have seemed like it was very slow, this whole college season flew by for me

    ReplyDelete
  6. Florida moving slowly.

Oklahoma not fazed by that little inside keeper they developed for Tebow.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Anonymous7:39 PM

Shouldn't we save that first spot for DL?

He seems to dwell on that....

Hoop...10 TD's you sure about the over?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yea, tiger, it has been mentioned. I really hate it, but we move on. I think Slaughter will be missed the most.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Word is that Blackmon and Slaughter are not coming back.

I am surprised by Slaughter. I am not surprised by Blackmon, though Sen'Derrick kept telling me Tray was planning to return.

Of course, this was in November.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Anonymous7:40 PM

Slaughter I agree is the bigger loss. But, now you can pull the....you could have the chance to play immediately as a WR.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Dang it, Come on Tebow!!! Circomsize them!!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. ...and that is why he won't be playing [QB] on Sundays. Eyes sold him out. Take that, Tebow gushing announcers.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Some of you are rooting for OU??? It should be a sin to root for a Big 12 team unless you have money on them or they are playing bama.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Happens ever year to every school. (Attrition)

    ReplyDelete
  15. ruh roh raggy.... The Great Tebow just screwed up...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Tebow intercepted?

I thought there was a law against that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous7:42 PM

Just on a side note....I am a bit devastated that Smoltz is no longer a Brave....I just needed the moment to vent...sigh..

    ReplyDelete
  18. Sgt.Slaughter is leaving?...not cool.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Does anyone else think the Ladders needs a new Ad company?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Okrahoma is evil. They are guilty of not being in the SEC. They are also guilty of being a member of the Big 12. They must be punished.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonymous7:43 PM

I suppose it depends if the defenses get tired and the second half scoring ratchetts up. There will need to be a lot of quick possessions. I may have over reached there.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Smoltzie going to look funny in a Red Sox uni.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Smoltz was almost the last of the team I knew. Please tell me Chipper is still there.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Give him the bidness Ron!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I have three friends who have been with me since we were lads.

Two are OU grads. One is a TCU grad, but he loves him some Oklahoma Sooners football.

I'm tainted and swayed by their fandom.

    ReplyDelete
  26. BFG, move to Florida for a week. You will quickly realize that the Gator Nation is as evil as the Bamzo Nation.

    ReplyDelete
  27. And Okrahoma has committed to ultimate sin by having ugly team colors. Florida's color are closer to perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Someone needs to lay some hands on Jay and heal him of his Okrahoma fetish.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love Smoltz, but will boo him if I ever have to be on hand to see him play in a Sox uni.

    ReplyDelete
  30. AU1, Chipper is also very unhappy about Smoltz. Did you see his comments in the AJC?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous7:46 PM

NoVa - Chipper is still there....but very frustrated and angry.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous7:46 PM

Slaughter came in with huge credentials and never seemed to commit. Kinda like the character in Jerry Mcquire.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, but their version of blue leaves me flat.

I hate UF but maintaining the supremacy of the SEC is important.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Maybe so Peter, but Tim Tebow's never beaten Auburn, I have nothing against him.

Oklahoma is moving the ball well.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous7:47 PM

Kathy - I did. This could be a problem soon, they have not been able to make any good moves and that's a problem...ok enough of that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. holding...comin back big fella

    ReplyDelete
  37. Does CFL have any rules on who they can sign. Do they draft or what?
I think Tray may end up in CFL.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous7:48 PM

NoVa are you in Northen Virginia?

    ReplyDelete
  39. And I simply hate that tune the Okrahoma band keeps playing. It makes me want to commit mass murder with a dull fork.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Bradford can thread a needle. wow what a pass.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anonymous7:49 PM

They could have called "facemask" on that holding penalty also

    ReplyDelete
  42. They keep shooting themselves in the foot. Tony Franklin must be in Miami.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anonymous7:50 PM

I was in Alexandria for a few years.

    ReplyDelete
  44. SEC Defense is pretty good against Big 12 Fast Break Offense

    ReplyDelete
  45. I love the pre-game interviews with the coaches. They never say that they think they are in for a butt whoopin. That is why Tony Franklin would be a great head coach. I can see him now.

"We will likely get our butts handed to us because I am an idiot".

Thanks coach, back to you Jim.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anonymous7:53 PM

The Okla style of offense will wear down the UF defense. UF will need to score and build up a lead.

    ReplyDelete
  47. i'll take one atl

    ReplyDelete
  48. And Jay, you had to have been pulling for Franklin to hang around. Reporters should have been picketing to keep Franklin. He was very quotable.

    ReplyDelete
  49. atlantatiger: Yes. I'll have one.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think Coach Chiz had some talks with some playaz and told them they had two choices and #3 was they would not be at Auburn next year

    ReplyDelete
  51. I liked Franklin a lot personally, yes.

    ReplyDelete
  52. As a part of our campaign to drive Mike Gundy and Okie State fans even crazier, I think Auburn fans should pull for Oklahoma.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Crown n Coke with a twist of lime for me, please.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Just wanted to say I was proud of Ryan Williams. Most kids just quit, heading to JUCO means maybe he will still get an education.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Comin right up..Harvin looks D@^n good.

    ReplyDelete
  56. that play looked ugly from the get go

    ReplyDelete
  57. twist of lime? fru-fru?

    ReplyDelete
  58. AUnMobilz, I hope that you are right about that. Great coaches lay down the law to players early. Anyone that isn't with the plan is sent on his way.

    ReplyDelete
  59. This Gushing over Tebow has to stop.

    ReplyDelete
  60. "The unquestioned greatest leader in college football," the announcer says.

    Give me a break!

    ReplyDelete
  61. want a little umbrella too?

    I keed, I keed!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Unquestionably the greatest leader in college football today? Your life will be better for being around Tebow? Will this announcer please take the opportunity to shut up.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Anonymous7:58 PM

Quick..put on the raincoats..another announcer gushing Tebow

    ReplyDelete
  64. D. Miller,
You must be under 40 years of age, othherwise you would know you only drink crown two ways....
    with coke and lime twist
    of neat!

    ReplyDelete
  65. If you get to spend 10 or 15 minutes with Tim Tebow, your life is better for it. haha

    ReplyDelete
  66. This announcer has his head so far up Tebow's butt that it is a wonder his name isn't enema.

    ReplyDelete
  67. drink crown on the rocks or with coke... no lime...

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous8:00 PM

Zteve..If there was a little "house cleaning", that is good to establish creds.

    ReplyDelete
  69. methodical drive by UF... eating some clock

    ReplyDelete
  70. Then you must be under 40!

its ok i sometimes drink it on the rocks also.... lime gives it a twang

    ReplyDelete
  71. I am loving this game by the way. These two offenses are really slugging it out.

    ReplyDelete
  72. We're watching the BCS Championship Game, and the Auburn-Mississippi State game broke out.

    ReplyDelete
  73. OU DT looked like he was lined up in middle of the UF o-line just then...

    ReplyDelete
  74. Belicek looked drunk.

    ReplyDelete
  75. AU1N, I'm further out than that. You couldn't pay me to be inside the beltway next weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  76. atl,
I was thinking the same thing...
he was probably saying "Damn its good to be outta that cold in N.E."

    ReplyDelete
  77. Refs are terrible. How do you put these idiots on this national televised event. Happy there not making the SEC look bad.

    ReplyDelete
  78. If you spend 10 or 15 minutes with Tebow, it's no (fore) skin off my nose.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Atl,
    ACC Refs.... enuff said!!!!!

Payback i guess for punking their conference!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Croke with lime here...

    I am a man...over 40....bring it!

    ReplyDelete
  81. in other news...Smoltz out of atlanta on his way to Boston. Damn

    ReplyDelete
  82. Shouldn't it be like 21-17 by now?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Anonymous8:06 PM

NoVa - I live in Baltimore now. They are renting houses here for next weekend for thousands.

    ReplyDelete
  84. UF needs to do better than 17 yds rushing.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Anonymous8:06 PM

atlanta - you have to scroll up...I mentioned that...Chipper not happy.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Fear the Tebow!!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. TD... nice stretch by Loo-Murph

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yea its pretty bad when Vandy beats the Division winner from the ACC. This is the only way that the ACC will ever get in the National Championship.

    ReplyDelete
  89. The announcers are a little over the top with the Teblow love.

    ReplyDelete
  90. As much as some of you seem to dislike Tebow, any guy that turns down Bama can't be all bad.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I'm heading for Alabama next weekend. It's going to be a zoo!

    ReplyDelete
  92. if OU doesn't answer with a score the onslaught will start!!!

    OU will begin to press!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. That sucks about smoltz. going to miss him mucho this summer.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Anonymous8:10 PM

Zteve...I think Tebow is great. I think Tebow worship by announcers is rediculous.

    ReplyDelete
  95. AU Women are 16-0???

Nova - why headed to bama?

    ReplyDelete
  96. I'm just giving you a hard time AUnMoblz...
Yea, I'm under 40... heck, under 30 (pushing it though), but my heavy crown days are long behind me...

You know, when you drink too much of it in college, it's difficult to drink when you get older... same for Goldschlager! Man those were the days! (I think...can't really remember)

    ReplyDelete
  97. To visit my mother and escape the 3 million people heading this way.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Why are they replaying the touchdown. It was clear that the ground caused the fumble anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  99. AU women are HOT even on the Bball court.

    ReplyDelete
  100. wow....umm...Florida, you forget how to tackle at the LOS?

    ReplyDelete
  101. Drinking is why I don't remember a single Saturday from 1992 to 1995. What a wonderful time.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Just like that. Florida better man up.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Anonymous8:13 PM

I'm seeing uncalled Okla holding on most every play. This game is too fast for the ACC refs.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Anonymous8:14 PM

Mon - People are renting houses in Baltimore for the Inauguration. It is going to be bedlem.

    ReplyDelete
  105. That Florida defense just got blowed up.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Anonymous8:14 PM

Hoop - I think it just turned up a notch on the pts.

    ReplyDelete
  107. The Fox Sports Oklahoma Play Clock is underwhelming me with its suckitude

    ReplyDelete
  108. Will someone make that crappy band stop playing that crappy song.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I have not seen a team that can cover #18 for Oklahoma.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I still say Utah is the national champs. Love those mormons.

    ReplyDelete
  111. why is this game not in HD? or is it just knology here in the gump?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Steve - you're freakin me out with all this negative nellie language.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Who me? I am all for them Gators!!!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Anonymous8:18 PM

I'm 53....It was a couple of mellow merlot glasse with dinner and water thereafter. Got too much to do tommorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  115. James...run this way ----> not backwards!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Wow, Florida just pulled a Franklin.

    ReplyDelete
  117. needle threaded...

    ReplyDelete
  118. Anonymous8:20 PM

    D - Gump

    ReplyDelete
  119. Dang celebration penalties!!!

    ReplyDelete
  120. now the announcer is drunk

    ministererererstir

    ReplyDelete
  121. Anonymous8:23 PM

UF hasn't punted yet...with numerous 3rd down conversions already.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Couldn't Florida find something better to put on their cheerleader's chests? Somehow a big orange F just doesn't seem appropriate.

    ReplyDelete
  123. HARD TIMES.

    Two picks?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  124. wtf is wrong with Tebow?

    ReplyDelete
  125. You noticed the F?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Intercepted. Shazbot.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Common Tebow, don't Franklin it up.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Anonymous8:24 PM

    Ooops!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Teabow will make a good TE.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Chris Brown is werkin' these fools.

    ReplyDelete
  131. did he just say tim tebow didn't read it correctly??????

    ReplyDelete
  132. Well, I guess the F on the cheerleaders chest makes better since than an FU I suppose.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Have I said that I hate Oklahoma and Bob Stoops yet?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Tebow trying to give the game to OU?

    ReplyDelete
  135. No way Florida has a shot if they can't stop the run. Tebow watched John Parker too much in the SEC championship.

    ReplyDelete
  136. OK is turning Florida's corner like a freeway.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Anonymous8:26 PM

Something I didn't consider when I predicted the over/under was that UF would try to run the clock.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Florida is gona get beat.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Go Go Go? Going Going Gone!!!

    ReplyDelete
  140. These announcers are realllly bad.

    ReplyDelete
  141. how bad are your announcers when they don't even know what frickin down it is?!?!!!

    idiots

    ReplyDelete
  142. Should have kicked the FG.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Anonymous8:28 PM

    SEC--defense

    ReplyDelete
  144. Florida's linebackers are playing back. They are going to have to adjust.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Florida is going to have to establish the run f they're going to win.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Fox announcers are really horrendous.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Taken looks to have potential...

    ReplyDelete
  148. Personally, I don't blame OK for going for it either. I don't like field goals when you are inside the 2 yardline.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Anonymous8:33 PM

Yeah....Fox only does NFL all year and then "buys" 3-4 top Bowl games and the MNC.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I am not crazy about the announcers either. But I am more interested in watching rather than listening anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Harvin at 100% wouldn't have been caught...

    ReplyDelete
  152. Lovin me some meerkating.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Rainey just blew out his knee...

    ReplyDelete
  154. Anonymous8:37 PM

    The Okla tackler leg-whipped him.

    ReplyDelete
  155. that's why horse-collar tackles aren't legal

    ReplyDelete
  156. Right knee buckled. The fox announcers are sorta typical for bowl games anyway. You go all season with something familiar and then you go to a bowl and it is kind of a let down.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Horrible punt. Now dem gators have got to stop the run.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Horse collar + leg whip = injury.

    ReplyDelete
  159. More of OK turning the corner on FL.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I thought the Gators would have stopped the run a bit better than they are doing.

    ReplyDelete
  161. OU line blatantly holding on every play...

    ReplyDelete
  162. D.Miller I thought I was watching bama for a minute.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Anonymous8:43 PM

Excuse me, why is there a clock for when OU snaps the ball? Do we really care about that? Just askin'

    ReplyDelete
  164. not much difference...

    ReplyDelete
  165. I don't care.

I don't like their colors. I don't like their coach. I don't like their dirty playing.

    I don't like them, Sam I am.

    ReplyDelete
  166. ankle? on the sidelines they were performing a knee check on him...

    ReplyDelete
  167. Anonymous8:46 PM

Time Out OU since they didn't tell us.

    ReplyDelete
  168. lol @ "sam i am"

    ReplyDelete
  169. Oh wow!!! Okrahoma commits stupicide.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Anonymous8:48 PM

    Ooops.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Enjoy the rest of the game. I'm out. I'll have to find out the score in the morning.

    ReplyDelete
  172. halftime memo to Urban:

    Let Tebow be Tebow.

    ReplyDelete
  173. When my children were small, we taught them football rules at the supper table.

Auburn is the best team ever.

    Never root against the conference.
The Bama exception reads, "Never root for Alabama. I hate Bama.

You don't pull for California teams.

    Oklahoma is for whiners.

    Miami plays thugs.

Nebraska, nah, you just can't pull for them either.

We had a problem with Notre Dame. I don't like them. My husband loves them so we let the kids choose.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Failing to get anything on 2 trips inside the 5 will probably cost OK the game. But I'm having a real hard time rooting very hard for either of these teams.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Night, NoVa.

It's tough on Eastern time for night games.

    ReplyDelete
  176. real hard + very hard in the same sentence = redundant. Think I will go away for the night.

    ReplyDelete
  177. "I can't wait to get a chance to pass against one of those Big 12 defenses."

    ReplyDelete
  178. I got the best of both worlds. I live on the east coast, but work west coast hours.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Anonymous8:54 PM

Jimmy Johnson is wrong. Short time to prepare benefits the defense. A long time to prepare benefits the offense.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Zteve, how did you manage that?

    ReplyDelete
  181. Thought i'd come in and check some notes, and leave 2¢. These guys doing the broadcast tonight? Yeah they're horrible. Did FOX not understand this is a the Bowl Championship?!? Maybe they could get some people that know what down it is? Just sayin'.. Okay continue party

    ReplyDelete
  182. Anonymous8:57 PM

Zteve...do you consult for west coast clients?

    ReplyDelete
  183. AUMom- I admire those rules.

    You're a hoot.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Goodnight Nova. :-)

    ReplyDelete
