ReplyDeleteGo girls!!!Undefeated!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the AU Ladies!
ReplyDeleteWish all our teams could be this successful! War Eagle!
ReplyDeleteHope the had a good crowd to cheer them on
ReplyDeleteLook at those stats it seems that the game should have been closer than it was. I guess it doesnt matter how many ofefnsive rebounds you get if your shooting 35% from the field.
ReplyDeleteWomen rollin. War Eagle!
ReplyDeleteWow, I think I need to go to more Women's games. There was a good crowd there. Since this was my first women's game, I'm not sure how much it had to do with the fact the team was passing out tickets in the car pool lines at the elementary schools here in Auburn last week .
ReplyDeleteBut I think I will be paying for a few games to see this team again.
the Women' BBall Team is Ballin'!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the ladies...
ReplyDeleteI was there. They are good, really good. It was a great game and a great crowd.
ReplyDeleteWar Eagle!!
Is this HABOTN Player of the Game and actual award that will be presented? Maybe mail her a certificate with a screenshot of the blog on it.
ReplyDeleteGood job, ladies.
Having a new puppy is hard work.
my sister was at the game. she said it was 'good times'. :) go gals go!
ReplyDeleteI'm a stalker then Steve and Jet are stalker stalkers.
ReplyDeleteI left out the "If" and "Facebook"
ReplyDeleteBurcham said 6k+, nice crowd.
ReplyDeleteWe want Dick Lebeau
ReplyDeleteJay G,
ReplyDeletehave you seen This cool blog gadget? Let's you add a soundtrack to the blog. Just imagine, you could share your love for Weezer and Jan Terri with the world (or at least the HABOTN community, which is probably better than the world, anyway). Just thought I'd share.
out of context Facebook news feed:
ReplyDelete"Monica XXXXXX DXXXXXX was recruited by Kristi Otwell Malzahn "
Just because I joined the same "cause".
ReplyDeleteWhew...all caught up for the day.
ReplyDeleteStill would be very nice to see an Omnica's Daily Top 10 at say 8PM est! And even better if I could find a way to push the Top 10 to my Crackberry!
Since you're the only one who would find that interesting maybe I'll just send it to your CB!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to see the Lady Tigers in two weeks when they play the Lady Vols. Should be a great game!
ReplyDeleteThat will be a good one, Luv!
ReplyDeleteWell if had known it was that simple I woulda just asked for the personal service from the start. Really...big news would be a treat. In Indi-freezing-ana all next week and after becoming addicted to HABOTN I'm not sure I can stand not being constantly in the loop.
ReplyDeleteHome of the ALLEGEDLY 12th largest city in the US. Greg and I don't buy it.
ReplyDeleteIt will be my first Lady Tigers game ever. We've been to one Men's game at the beginning of the season. It was pretty exciting. I love Pat Summit & the Lady Vols, so I'm excited.
ReplyDeleteBig Mike:
ReplyDeleteHABOTN is the most addictive thing on the net, IMO.
Even for Bama fans.
I would LOVE to see a Pat Summit team too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Nell has turned things around.
ReplyDeleteFaker -
ReplyDeleteI know it!
I say all the Hotties that can make it should go the the AU/Tenn game and wear our shirts! The game is Sunday Jan 25 @ 2pm. Now that would be HOT!
ReplyDeleteNothing but respect for Pat Summit. Hope the Tigers hand her a loss, though. Definitely would be a fun game to go to...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan, AUBigCat!
ReplyDeleteIn other news: I just saw where Corey Gaines 4* DT from FL set up a visit for 1/30. Jay Boulware is recruiting him. These guys are on the ball!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little confused on Gaines... One site has him as a 4* DT, the other as a 2* OG...
ReplyDeleteI saw where someone mentioned he played C in one of the All-Star games.
Seems he's a bit of an anomaly... where does he fit in? OL? DL?
Good question D! I think we could use both DTs and OLs so either way would be great for us. He is a bit shorter than I would prefer for an OL though.
ReplyDeleteWay to go ladies!!!
ReplyDeleteHis size reminds me of Stump... he'd do well with his athleticism as a DT...
ReplyDeleteOmnica ... I'm not stalking ... I'm legitimizing your stalking ... yeah ... that's the ticket.
ReplyDeleteMonica,
ReplyDeleteThe avatar is me, last spring in the Keys. Unfortunately, the camera worked poorly and you can't see the massive wall of coral that was behind me.
i love the way the New Coaching Staff is going after the Big Guns!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSeems like we lost a recruit today, Steven Jacques, an offensive lineman. Seems like he is going to South Florida. I find that strange sense we need offensive linemen so he should have anticipated playing time. To go to a non-SEC school seems like a mistake, but I think he will be closer to home.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jet! I appreciate you.
ReplyDeleteNova - I'm impressed.
Zteve,
ReplyDeleteIt's called meeting the "University Admissions" requirements.....
Check AU admissions standards are a little different than USF....( see Mike Ford for farther information)
How about we play "Things I learned today on HABOTN"?
ReplyDeleteToday I learned that HABOTN can suck you into sports you normally wouldn't pay much attention to, i.e., Women's Basketball. Nice job ladies, much respect.
I learned that our coaching staff isn't afraid to recruit anybody, anywhere. Can I get an amen?
Finally, I learned that between Christmas and his birthday, little jz got 9 Nerf guns, some of which shoot 3 rounds per second. Let's just say that Nerfageddon happened this afternoon in the JZ household.
War Kicker on a Stick!
j-z,
ReplyDeleteYou caught up in the Nerf guns also... got two for the wii NX-3... single shots...doubles as nerf launcher and wii gun on the video game...
Kids love it... I just hate when my daughter shots me in the back of the head when I'm on the laptop not paying attention.... lol
Yep...got one of those too. I love that game...lots of explosions.
ReplyDeleteI say we recruit Jack Bauer! Anybody watch 24?!
ReplyDeleteThings that I have learned.
ReplyDelete1. I have learned that The HABOTNm is a place on comfort during the trying times of 08.
2. The HABONT and JGT bring a voice of sanity during the year of BAMER mania.
3. The HABONT is a place to get a true pulse of what is happening in Auburn that you can't get her in Bamerham.
Thanks HABONT for being here for us all.
Things I Learned Today On HABOTN
ReplyDelete1) I wasn't at work, so I don't check it quite as much. Funny how that works.
2) The women basketball team is really good.
3) Recruit photos are a little scary.
4) Recruit photos would be 1000% more awesome if Jay followed my advice and made them do football action poses.
Things I learned...
ReplyDeleteWhen there isn't much going on in the world of Auburn, and it's a lazy Sunday afternoon... the HABOTN is almost like a ghost town.
I learned to never underestimate a former grocery bagger when he has Larry Fitzgerald at WR.
I learned (well confirmed) that the Lady Tigers are GOOD!
I learned that Omnica has some serious stalkeritis on FB.
I also learned that when you decide on a Sunday that you want to put an offer in on a house, your Realtor doesn't call you back.
24 is the best.....
ReplyDeleteJet - The Ravens would never be a snoozer...I saw your earlier comment.
Things I learned today on HABOTN ...
ReplyDelete1. Lutzenkirchen is a friendly guy.
2. Our women are for real.
3. Omnica has a top 10 list that she will send to you.
I learned the Ravens =============>
ReplyDeleteare playing Pittsburgh for the 3rd time this season for the SuperBowl.
I just checked out Monica's FB stalking skills...She knows how to make the connections. Now if we could only get her to use her powers for good.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this Top 10 list?
ReplyDeleteAm I (should I be?) really interested?
OH! I also learned that Norv Turner doesn't have a frickin' clue how to use his challenges wisely.
ReplyDeleteI learned that AU better start beating the bushes for OL.
ReplyDeleteIf I owned the Chargers ... I would leave Norv in Pittsburgh.
ReplyDeleteJ-Z ... let me assure ... while she has issues ... Omnica is a force for good. Kinda like a female Jack Bauer.
Anyone notice who the Broncos hired?
ReplyDeletejosh Mcdaniels from NE.... should be interesting how that works out.
D - I guess Romanowski just didn't fit the profile. They said McDaniels is a young Shanahan I guess.
ReplyDeleteRaven - Pittsburgh = Huge Snotknocker
If they were looking for a Shanahan type, then it begs the question of why they fired Shanahan?
ReplyDeleteYes, the Ravens/Steelers matchup will likely cause snot bubbles by merely watching it on tv...
Anyone else think the Steelers have the best Unis in the NFL?
ReplyDeleteNegative!!
ReplyDeletePurple Power.
http://www.uniwatchblog.com/2008/12/04/the-golden-triangle/
ReplyDeleteSteeler uni info. My father in law was a fb for a few years and got to wear the "cape" jearseys. Cool site, too.
Anything in purple cannot be considered good looking.
ReplyDelete(Maybe Marissa Miller, but that's IT!)
You're all haters. See if I share anymore of my FB info with y'all.
ReplyDeleteJay I heard there was a plane in AU this evening from Hernando Mississippi (close to Oxford). any chance Mr. Rocker was on it?
ReplyDeleteOmnica ... I hate only one thing, and I think you know what that is.
ReplyDeleteMOnica keep the FB info coming i enjoy it and get in the same mess from time to time
ReplyDeleteMaybe, BigCat.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the Golden Globes and not ashamed to admit it.
I'm not hatin Mon.... I'm jealous... I don't have it in me to stalk. I wish I did, I wouldn't have to rely on you for all my info.
ReplyDeleteBTW, if you got anything good, I'm all ears!
jay did you see mickey rourke trip on the stairs and the guy shooting him the bird??
ReplyDeleteAlso on the uniwatch site i learned that kodi burns had his number on his socks for some games, which i guess is rare for college players, it's a great site you can kill some time on.
Rourke also made several references to "balls," which I found odd.
ReplyDeleteThey are all jealous Mon.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't like purple we will go all black. Reed returns picks for 106 & 108 yds when wearing them.
Speaking of the Globes - Jon Hamm of Mad Men? Yeah, he's been on my FB for a while now. He loves me. I see it in his eyes.
ReplyDeletethe wrestler is supposed to be a real good flick, based loosely on lex lugers life. He has some serious neurological damage due to wrestling, weiging around 170 lbs now, used to be around 270. Can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteYou can just call the Raven D
ReplyDeleteOrganized Chaos!!
Ok, bed time.
ReplyDeleteNight all!!
gnight AU1
ReplyDeleteThank you for your support, Jhag. :-)
ReplyDeleteI know you're not hatin, Jet. I'm sorry about your football jinxification. Maybe it's time to pull a George Costanza?
The Ravens' all black uni's do look pretty good...
ReplyDeleteI have no dog in the hunt, so it doesn't matter to me who wins.
I'm just looking forward to watching those two D's. They'll both hit you so hard you'll have snot-bubbles.
Oh, I'm still hatin' Bama.
ReplyDeleteI'm still breathing, ain't I?
Jet - did you just tell j-z I have issues?
ReplyDeletejust so everyone knows-- you mean to Monica, you mean to me, and that = not a good thing. plus, the ravens defense are cheap-shot taking, murder charge avoiding thugs. especially cheap shots. watching their last 2 games = they took some sneaky hits, much like brian dawkins takes when spearing people with his helmet
ReplyDeleteI prefer to call the Ravens' defense "cheap shot thugs", but then again I'm a Steelers fan.
ReplyDeleteBears always got my back! Thanks, Bear.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Leftwich fan = Go Steelers!
i guess i am for the cards, since i worked a couple of football camps and meet & greets with Karlos Dansby
ReplyDeleteOh God...I just saw Pat Dye on WSFA protesting outside the Notasulga Post Office so that a cat could continue to live in the building.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteBear82, I agree with your assessment of the Ravens. I would think that even if I wasn't a Steelers fan. The Ravens didn't win on Saturday as much the Titans game the game away.
ReplyDeleteoops game = gave
ReplyDeleteOmnica ...
ReplyDeleteMe and the J-Z zizzle ... well, we've known each other for about 20-25 yizzles ... he knows about my issues. And I know about his. We don't talk about 'em.
It's called Mutually Assured Destruction.
On a happier note ... the HABOTN T finally made its long awaited debut at the gym this a.m. It inspired me to greater heights.
Yes, I had a nice conversation with J-Z about your "history" and accompanying issues last night.
ReplyDeleteAnother piece of the puzzle...
Oh ... so J-Z has decided to start talking ...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a missile strike might be in order. Folks in Prattville might wanna take cover.
Jet- The HABOTN t-shirt is way too nice to ruin in a gym.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, starting the second week of early 4:30am workouts is off to a way better start than last Monday.
Even if I didn't have to be at work at 5:00, there is no way I could make it to the gym at 4:30. I wouldn't be awake enough or have enough energy at that hour. I go in the evening. I don't know how you guys do it.
ReplyDeleteEddie, I agree with you about the HABOTN t-shirt.
Eduardo ...
ReplyDeleteMy man ... Championships are won in the gym ... in the off-season ... what better way to announce our presence with authority ... other than with a Kicker on a Stick.
Luv - Please don't confuse yourself. A win is a win. Just cause my defense hits harder and causes turnovers doesn't mean it isn't a victory.
ReplyDelete3-2 and we were happy with a victory that day too.
Morning Hotties! At least one source is reporting that Rocker has accepted the offer to come back to AU.
ReplyDeleteRocker
This season's "Super" Bowl is the equivalent to the BCS mandating that the ACC vs.Big 10 in the BCS National Championship.
ReplyDeletePittsburgh and Baltimore represent the Big 10.
Arizona(?!?) and Philadelphia are the ACC.
Reports are that New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will be named head coach of the Denver Broncos.
ReplyDeleteClearly they do not plan to run...ever
I would be leary of any Bellicheck assistant to be a head coach. Mangeni (sp) is by far the best of his assistants that have moved on, and even he got fired, but at least he got hired by the Browns.
ReplyDeleteAU1N04, I'm not confused. And, no, I may have been in the minority, but I wasn't happy with the 3-2 "win."
ReplyDeleteLuv- I wasn't happy with the 3-2 win either. Maybe, just maybe, if the game was played at the end of the year with the same results, I may have felt a little better about it. And I knew things were bad when I watch GT just demolish Mississippi State the next weekend. That was a sign foreshadowing the future of things to come from us.
ReplyDeleteBut, things are looking up now, right, Eddie?
ReplyDeleteLuv- TBD.
ReplyDeleteI bought into all the hype about Franklin last year, so I'm taking a more wait and see approach to things. I can honestly say when I heard Chizik was the coach, I was pissed. Given time and staff hires, I have more reason to feel better about things than I did when Chiz was hired. I like that we are going after top notch kids and I hope / believe that strategy will hold true as long as Chizik is the coach. I definitely believe that a change was needed because Auburn is not where it should have been talent wise with a 10 year head coach at the helm. I will venture down to Auburn for A-Day game, my first since I left Auburn. I'm curious to see what everything will look like on the field. Are things looking up???- Only time will tell, but I do have slight optimism about things now, that I know I didn't have on December 13th.
Eddie, me too - on everything you said.
ReplyDeletemorning hotties. i didn't make it the gym early like a couple of you crazy fools but i did have a heckuva workout yesterday afternoon. ouchers.
ReplyDeletei say wear your HABOTN tee aggressively. anywhere. anytime. i can make more dudes.
Bill Walsh's coaching tree is a who's who of well-respected coaching.
ReplyDeleteBill Belichick's coaching tree is like an most hated list.
"wear your tee aggressively"
ReplyDeleteNice.
My t-shirt is in pristine condition. Never worn, hanging in the closet next to the my retired McNair jersey.
ReplyDeleteI fear if I put on the HABOTN shirt, it will be as kryptonite is to Superman (the caped one not Tebow).
Eddie, i feel/felt the same way about the Chiz man. i had to tivo the GMAC bowl and finally got to watch our new offense over the weekend. i really liked the formations and the deception Malzahn used by putting people in motion and having the backs bunch to confuse the D as to where the ball was going.
ReplyDeleteSensi, try sewing a green kryptonite patch to the inside label. that should balance out its power-draining effects. it worked for me.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try that, ScottieB.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping the power of the McNair #9 would do that as well, but it has had no effect so far.
I guess we will hear about Tracey Rocker officially later today. All signs point to go. I believe that is a very good hire. Rocker seems to be a pretty good position coach. I'm not that familar with his recruiting abilities.
ReplyDeleteOff topic, but someone must pay for this atrocity.
ReplyDeleteMr. Sensible, I can't watch youtube at work. What's it about?
ReplyDeleteegads! what a horrid video Sensi. Taylor Swift makes me want to gag myself.
ReplyDeleteLuv,
ReplyDeleteSome genius decided it was a good idea to put Taylor Swift and Def Leppard on the same stage together for a stirring rendition of "Pour Some Sugar On Me."
I want that person or persons to hurt.
I think Auburns should go after Taylor Swift for the basketball team :)!
ReplyDeleteAs long as they muzzle her, sure. But she needs to add some meat to play inside.
ReplyDeleteWow...the apocalypse is nigh children. There is a John Longshore-Chizik lovefest on AM 740 this morning. Longshore is drinking the Chiz-aid.
ReplyDeleteJet, I just told Monica that we knew each other back in the day. There were no violations of the SALT treaty.
I'm impressed with Chizik's work ethic so far. He reminds me of Saban 15 years ago, but without the pesky 666 on his forehead.
J-Z,
ReplyDeleteI'm docking you 4 cool points for the KISS avatar.
C'Mon. ;-)
Round 3 of layoffs at my company, y'all wish me luck.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, TommyD.
ReplyDeleteLook closer Sensi...That's actually me and Sarah Palin at a Halloween party. I gotta get some points for that. With the platform boots on, I was right at 7 ft tall that night.
ReplyDeletegood luck TommyD. you should wear a HABOTN tee to work this week. you know, just to show your boss you're indestructible.
ReplyDeleteDang Tommy D, I've been down that road before. I hope it all works out for you.
ReplyDeleteJ-Z,
ReplyDeleteI'll say this: If you are a forester, you are tall enough to work amongst the trees. :-) You are one tall dude with those boots.
J-Z, You could have let Jet wonder a little while longer.
ReplyDelete"You are one tall dude in those boots." I bet that's something you don't hear often. At least I assume...
Thanks everyone. Unfortunately all the folks doing the axe job are up in Wisconsin. Perhaps the full power of the HABOTN will put a force field around my office and they won't be able to touch us. Habotn/Jedi mind power don't fail me now. And for any of you that seem to be in a similar situation, good luck to all!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you tommy. Times are tough these days.
ReplyDeleteMr.S - You don't think Pitt and Bmore as the SEC with huge defenses rather than the Big 10? AFC will win the SB
ReplyDeleteAU1N04,
ReplyDeletePitt and Balt are more like Big 10. Slower, bigger, beat-you-up defenses. The SEC defenses are super physical, but are a lot faster than that of the Big 10. I can't think of an NFL counterpart at this time.
FWIW, Footballscoop says that Rocker has accepted the job.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been around much lately. I said the first time I posted that I would be a very poor Hottie. Some of you folks are BCS caliber, and I am NAIA.
A good day to all.
Actually, Mon, you'd be amazed at how often I do hear that since I wear work boots everyday. I'm 6'4" in my socks. Yep that's me, big, tall, and stupid.
ReplyDeleteMr. S - I will accept that. I guess you could think of Dallas in the early 90's under Johnson maybe. Fast D.
ReplyDeletej-z - you are an Auburn fan, so you're not stupid!
ReplyDeleteIf you have any problems Tommy just tell 'em to call me.
ReplyDeleteWow, J-Z, you're almost as tall as me!
ReplyDeleteJ-Z ... Glad to know that you haven't violated the treaty ... my troops will stand down.
ReplyDeleteOmnica is trying to foment death and destruction in the River Region. Like the Cuban Missile Crisis, thankfully, cooler heads prevailed.
I will actually be in Prattvegas at some point today, which comes from the Creek word for "paper mill."
Thanks Monica, I'll have the red emergency phone at the ready.
ReplyDeleteGoldberg reporting it now
ReplyDeletehttp://blog.al.com/spotnews/2009/01/tracy_rocker_agrees_to_join_au.html
Who is John Thompson? Says he is a strong candidate for coaching the secondary.
Call me if you are up here around lunch Jet.
ReplyDeleteI do have to say that one of my favorite times from days gone by was my first Intramural football game at AUM. Jet was there and I finally got in the game with about a minute to play. The first play in, I laid some Sig Ep out on a pancake block. Jet came up to me and said, "Damn, you're not anything like your brother, are you?"
Good times, my friend, good times
I thought John Thompson coached Geaorgetown bball.
ReplyDelete
