Post No. 1,001

The arena can't hold more.
- Auburn 82, Tennessee 68.
- HABOTN PLAYER OF THE GAME®
PF DeWanna Bonner -- 35 points (14-of-16 at the line), 9 rebounds, 6 steals - Auburn now is 20-0 overall and 5-0 in the SEC.
- 1:33, 2nd half (Auburn calls timeout) -- Auburn leads, 73-63.
Hold the phone. Tennessee is on a 13-0 run. - 2:59, 2nd half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads, 73-55.
See score above. - 4:04, 2nd half (Auburn calls timeout) -- Auburn leads, 73-52.
See score above. - 6:54, 2nd half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads, 64-46.
Trevesha Jackson just nailed an and-one. Tennessee can't counter this enthusiasm ... and Summitt is stewing on the sideline. She's done all she can do. It's rare that UT takes a beating like this. - 10:00, 2nd half (Tennessee calls timeout) -- Auburn leads, 60-41.
Auburn is demolishing this team. - 11:34, 2nd half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads, 55-41.
Tennessee seems so much weaker now. All those freshman, all these people here, all that experience on the other team. - 12:34, 2nd half (Tennessee calls timeout) -- Auburn leads, 55-39.
Every mistake Tennessee makes now, Auburn pounces and scores. - 15:15, 2nd half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads 44-33.
Boddie is commanding this game. Tennessee has nobody who can stick with her shakes. It's playground time. Boddie is at the line for a 1-and-1 right now. - 16:46, 2nd half (Tennessee calls timeout) -- Auburn leads, 41-31.
Summitt knows her team is getting worked by Whitney Boddie and Bonner right now. Bonner scored on an and-one. Boddie stole a UT pass and now she's at the line for another and-one. Tennessee can't do much with Bonner right now. She's a unique defensive challenge. - HALFTIME STATS
Shooting
AUB -- 10-27 37.0%
TEN -- 12-25 48.0%
3 shooting
AUB -- 2-9 22.2%

AUB -- 9-12 75.0%

AUB -- 15 (8o, 7d)
TEN -- 16 (6o, 10d) - HALFTIME
Auburn leads, 31-26. - 1:17, 1st half (Tennessee calls timeout) -- Auburn leads, 27-23.
DeWanna Bonner is working UT badly right now. Pat Summitt had enough. - 3:43, 1st half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads, 22-19.
Pretty static. Auburn got some use out of KeKe Carrier, but she's out of gas now. The Tigers can't get much going offensively. Tennessee's zone is too much right now. Tennessee is trying to work inside -- with mixed success. - 7:35, 1st half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads, 17-13.
Neither team can get much going offensively. They have plans; the defensive intensity on both ends is overpowering. Tennessee is getting offensive rebounds. Auburn is creating turnovers. That's the only thing helping either team score. - 11:46, 1st half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads, 12-9.
Tennessee has committed seven turnovers already. The Tigers still only lead by three points. - 15:58, 1st half (media timeout) -- Auburn leads, 7-4.
YOUR AUBURN STARTERS
C -- Trevesha Jackson of Auburn, Ala.

ReplyDeleteexcuse me....1001
ReplyDeleteHope Auburn smokes em today...
ReplyDeleteanyone got a feed on the Au Tenn Game, i dont have CSS on Direct TV
ReplyDeleteYou can watch it on ESPN360 if you have the right service provider. You can check it and see.
ReplyDeleteI don't see this game on channelsurfing.net. Sucks.
ReplyDeleteespn gameplan is showing it.
ReplyDeletethe vols are a traveling bunch, today.
ReplyDeleteSummitt looks a little pissed at all the turnovers/travels.
ReplyDeleteSmalley from the parking lot!
ReplyDeleteThat was a remarkably deep three-point bucket from Smalley. Nutty, that was.
ReplyDeleteAuburn playing tuff!!!
ReplyDeleteCarrier block, Smalley layup, and one!
ReplyDeletecan they teach the men's team how to shoot free throws?
ReplyDeleteMen would shoot better if they played with smaller balls

:)
Bonner is definitely a player..12 of the teams 25 points
ReplyDeleteHow effective is Carrier given AU's uptempo offense?
ReplyDeleteholy cow--how 'bout that last shot by tenn.?
ReplyDeleteJay G.,
ReplyDeleteThe Crowd sounds like they are going nuts!!!
Nat said...
ReplyDeleteHow effective is Carrier given AU's uptempo offense?
She has been responsible for a few of the fast breaks with her blocks and steals
Where are you getting it, Mobile?
ReplyDeleteThey slow down with Carrier in the game for sure. They've got to have her inside today, though.
ReplyDeleteDamn what a lucky shot at the end of the half. Boddie is unreal..oh yea I would like to see the men and women have a free throw contest.
ReplyDeleteWell, I never could get espn360 to work in the larger screen. I'll wait for the final score.
ReplyDeleteTHis is one of the more talented womens AU teams i have seen. Big and fast...good combos for bball.
ReplyDeleteCarrier seems to be a step slow on the defensive end also, I appreciate the 6'9 size but wondering if her insertion disrupts the flow of AU's game on the offensive end of the court too much? I am overall impressed with this AU team reminds me of the good ol' days with Joe C
ReplyDeleteSweeeeeeet Caroline....buh buh buh...."I am no longer running for senate"
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Joe C....he is the color analyst for the gamen today on CSS. Wonder if he is a homer.
ReplyDeleteThis crowd is amazing! Very loud and into it! Wish I had a seat rather than having to jump up and down in the concourse just to see.
ReplyDelete12067 announced crowd. Wow!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletePeter Franschmidt driving down the road:
ReplyDeletecongrats on 1000.
The women are much more fundamentally sound than the men. It is nice to see how set plays should be run. Games back on, gotta get back in front of the tube.
ReplyDeleteAnyone going to the mens game next weekend? Taking the ol' man to the bowels next weekend.
ReplyDeleteUH OH....wow
ReplyDeleteGirls on a run to open up. Up 10 with the +1 to come for Boddie.
ReplyDeleteI know this is like saying 2+2=4. But, AU has some VERY attractive pom pom girls!
ReplyDeleteThese college kids are very lucky.
Jay G.
ReplyDeleteAnnounbce crowd over 12,000....WOW!!!
12,067 official attendance ... and that's legit.
ReplyDeleteJay G.
ReplyDeleteAuburn about to drop the defensive hammer down on Tennessee and make one of their patent second hand run!!!
Alot of time but, AU pounded them right now. Ali Smalley can shoot.
ReplyDeleteMobile - How are you hearing/watching the game?
ReplyDeleteGirls on a run. Keep pouring it on ladies!
ReplyDeleteMon.
ReplyDeleteGame Tracker on Auburn Site + i can listen casue i have signed up
" Game Tracker"
How tall is Carrier? 6'9 really?
ReplyDeleteThis is a very good TEAM!!!!
ReplyDeleteatl,
ReplyDeleteShe's 6'7" I think!
Any recruiting commits today, Mon?
ReplyDeleteWow beat the previous attendence record by 5000. That is impressive.
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteMe thinks the LONG word Pat Summit had w/ the refs at halftime has altered their ability to call the game.
ReplyDeleteThey just absolutely missed a takedown by a UT player on Bonner.
Boddie is a heck of a PG!
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah! Incredible play by Smalley and Boddie!
ReplyDeleteAuburn by 19 over Tenn!!!!
ReplyDeletewow... this is a good basketball team. 1st time i have seen them this year. Im impressed.
ReplyDeleteWe're up by 17 and still out hustling them.
ReplyDeleteSHortening the game...man i like this and a 3 point play!
ReplyDeleteBoddie just drove pas t2 of them. AU is slowing the game and using clock and still scoring. Now up by 18 w/ +1
ReplyDeleteThey are flat outplaying and out hussleing Tenn.
ReplyDeleteFigured out in the Auburn Alabama game that Whitney Boddie is Otis Boddie's daughter. He played at Bradshaw HS when I was a student there. He was the big hometown hero. Fun player to watch - like his daughter!
ReplyDeleteAUnMobilz, thanks for the tracker link. It works great. It looks like the girls are kicking butt.
ReplyDeleteI told you all a long time ago that the women's team was a blast to watch.
ReplyDeleteWho wins a free-throw shooting contest, KeKe Carrier or Vot Barber? Say, best out of 10.
ReplyDeleteTHat would be a good contest. I think Kiki. Vot stinks rom the line.
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteyou're welcome....
Jay G. we are sorry we have been hardheaded!
So no one going to Vandy Game next weekend in Auburn? I will be there with my HABOTN t shirt on.
ReplyDeleteJay G.
ReplyDeleteForgot to ask are there any HOTTIES there with their HABOTN Tee's on?
They have gotten a lil sloppy.
ReplyDeleteI talked with kmo.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen any other HOTTIES.
What the heck's going on? They have let TN go on a 14 - 0 point run!
ReplyDeleteSince I don't get CSS, I've missed this...I walk away for like 5 mins and suddenly UT is on run when it looked like we had it wrapped up.
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on?
Come on...the women got a little sloppy here. At least they are hitting the FTs
ReplyDeleteall we need to do is hit free throws now!
ReplyDeleteAND not foul!
ReplyDeleteFortner looks worried. Come on lets wrap this up.
ReplyDeleteIt was well worth the trip to this game, even if I did have to park at Momma G's!
ReplyDeleteAuburn wins!
ReplyDeleteFinal 82-68 Auburn beats Tennessee!
ReplyDeleteU-N-D-E-F-E-A-T-E-D!!!!!
Good, I was getting worried there when the updates stopped coming in and I was afraid everyone was just in stunned silence.
ReplyDeleteDeWanna Bonner was 14/16 from the line. Maybe she can teach Vot how a tall player shoots free throws.
ReplyDeletegreat game! up by 24 at one point--that's unthinkable for a team agains tenn. excellent job
ReplyDeleteNo joke Hoopie, it is amazing what it will do for your scoring when you can actually make your free-throw. Don't they call it a free-throw for a reason?
ReplyDeleteSomebody with the gametracker up. How many points did Alli Smalley have? What were her stats?
ReplyDeleteSmalley: 16 points, 4 assists, 1 turnover in 35 minutes.
ReplyDeleteDEWANNA BONNER 35 PTS (SEC Player of the Year) YEAH!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the women and Coach Fortner. Hell of a win..now maybe they can get some respect with the national media.
ReplyDeleteAuburn plays really really good Defense and will fast break you to death!!!
ReplyDeleteANOTHER great photo, Jay G. You've got a great eye.
ReplyDeletePeter Frankenschmidt walking the dog:
ReplyDeleteGood game. I'm jealous that I couldn't be there. Never had an opportunity to see a crowd like that at BEMC. At least I got to watch it on tv.
Congrats to Bonner on a career high.
Mon,
ReplyDeletedid the tracker help?
I just followed Jay's updates since I couldn't see or hear it. But thanks very much, Mobile.
ReplyDeleteFor the 2nd Sunday afternoon in a row ... I end up ill ... I drag myself from the bed to find out ... ONE OF THE GREATEST VICTORIES IN AUBURN HISTORY.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to AU Women. You done good.
When you start making a list of the greatest wins in Auburn history that don't involve football, it won't take long to get to this game.
Jet,
ReplyDeleteIt was an awsome game... wish i could've been there.
I hope you feel better! Is the Stewardess taking care of you?
Wow! What a game! JustWin & I were there representin'
ReplyDeleteLuv!
ReplyDeleteIt sounded very loud and a great game!
Mobile, yes, the colliseum was ROCKIN'!
ReplyDeleteI think Tyrik is a lock he just now put up the status
ReplyDeleteTyrik Rollison got a good idea of where he is going to play next year. 3 minutes ago
The plane is on the way to Stillwater. Another OSU asst. perhaps?
ReplyDeleteSorry about that. Tulsa
ReplyDelete100
ReplyDeleteGus must be going to pick up some clean undies.
ReplyDeleteTyrik's FB status:
ReplyDelete"Tyrik Rollison
is going to be an Auburn Tiger!!"
WDE!
Maybe that's Trooper or Curtis Luper heading back to get some stuff?
ReplyDeletei'm very proud that au sold this game out. nice tribute to the ladies.
ReplyDeleteLady Tigers - Congrats
ReplyDeleteTo Jay G, I offer congratulations as well! In the immortal words of Ron Burgundy Ron Burgundy: You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.
Dewayne Hollaway keeping it classy on Tyrik's FB with his little bamer logo and posting at "Bless his heart! He will have a new coach next year....."
ReplyDeleteOn a side note - men shouldn't say "bless his heart" like that. ewww
Even if we don't get any of these "big name" recruits, it's nice to finally see a staff trying to land them. Don't don't get a yes if you don't ask.
ReplyDeleteJust got back in from the game. Great crowd. Forgot it was general admission and wound up 4 rows formthe top to accomodate 8 people together. Still it was awsome to see the ladies play tonight. TN did nt ogive up and we got sloppy when Smalley came out and decided to milk the clock. TN had one girl that could launch three's and then drove the ball coast to coast a few times. they will be good next year as they have 0 seniors I believe.
ReplyDeleteZero juniors, too.
ReplyDeleteJust got back home from the game... WOW! What a crowd! I never thought I would see such a crowd at BEMC. It was loud too! I had to stand up and had to park at Momma G's, but it was well worth it.
ReplyDeleteBonner is a playa, Smalley can shoot the rock, and tryin to guard Boddie is like trying to tackled a greased pig. Very fun group to watch!
Jay GT- Superb coverage of the game; greatly appreciated for those of us with lousy TWC.
ReplyDeleteMuchos merci.
Just got back from the Lady Tigers basketball game. Just thought I would throw out a few things that I saw while there.
ReplyDelete1). This team can shoot free throws. Might be the best free throw team I have ever seen in person(and that goes for the pros also).
2). Lets just hope the future games do not come down to Keke on the free throw line. Can you say Lady Shaq? If it wasn't for her, our free throw percentage would be close to 100 percent.
3). Bonner is the best player I have seen play in that arena...Ever. She will definitely be a star in the WNBA after this season. She will be missed next year.
4). Smalley will be a future star in the league the next few years.
5). For all the people that say "why build a huge arena, Auburn will never support basketball".....today just goes to show you that if you have a good team, this place can rock for a basketball game.
Jay, did you mean to say
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's Trooper or Curtis Luper heading back to get some more staff?
5:22 PM
Great post, Brian from Troy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - Don't y'all think Chizik should get in touch with "Keek"? Maybe a good DT - 6'7 and weighs maybe 250+.....I love those girls !!! War Damn Eagle !!!
ReplyDeleteBeen in and out most of the weekend. Thanks to everyone for keeping the HABOTN updated with latest scores, recruiting, etc. I would check status frequently on my iPhone. Great win by the women. My cable provider didn't provide the game. Bummer. Congrats Jay on the 1000th thread. You do an awesome job. Sounds like these coaches are working hard.
ReplyDeleteDear Raymond Cotton, we do appreciate your interest in Auburn. An athlete of your ability is always welcome. I am sure we can find a spot on the roster for you, possibly as a receiver or on special teams. As for a scholarship offer, I am afraid that time has long past.
ReplyDeleteCameron Kenney committed to Oklahoma today after visiting UGA. He was scheduled to come to AU next weekend and was a previous commit. Man I hate losing that guy, he is gonna be a good one.
ReplyDeleteI agree Nola but CGM must not have been particularly high on Kenney for some reason. If AU was I can't imagine them not putting the full court press on him to reel him in.
ReplyDeleteHA Steve
ReplyDeleteDoWhat - Did you create that screenshot?
no someone posted it in a message forum
ReplyDeletegauche x 10, says Monica C.D.
ReplyDeleteNot a topic, but I met Terry Bowden last night in Huntsville. I know he left the program in bad shape, but a very nice man nonetheless. I felt like I was about 7' standing beside him.
ReplyDeleteI was there, had to let some college kids know that holding seats wasn't going to get it done with me. They probably thought I was the biggest A-hole in the world. But at my age, some punk kid isn't going to tell me I can't sit down because he is holding the seat for some late arrival.. Ok, I feel better.
ReplyDeleteNow. Auburn looked so much more dominant today. Complete role reversal. A look at the roster of the instate talent tells me that Nell FOrtner has figured out that the women's talent in Alabama is in the North part of the state.
The player that makes this team go is Allie Smalley. Pure and Simple. I know Bonner got the points, but Smalley is the straw that stirs the drink. Fortner knows it too.
Carrier is 6'7'. Other than that she is out of shape, has poor footwork, bad anticipation, and is l-a-z-y. After about 3 or 4 times down the court and she GASSED. Guard play and transition basketball won the day in my mind for the Lady Tigers. That and mixing up the defense. I was very surprised how much trouble just switching from man to zone to a match-up back to a zone cause Tennessee's Guards.
Additionally, Tennessee turned it over early alot and you could tell that Auburn had frustrated them. Auburn was able to anticipate Tennessee's passes ( it helped that they were lazy passes).
I didn't think it was so much that TN was down as Auburn was just that much better. Auburn is the #6 team in the nation you know.
Anyway...I was pleased with the product. It helps that Nell is recruiting North Alabama, the basketball is just head and shoulders better than the rest of the state. She has kids that not only can play, but know and most importantly, respect the game.
NoALTiger, was TB at the UAH/UNA basketball game? I heard he was there, but I didn't see him. That was a great game.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the rumor that there was going to be some news this weekend concerning a shake up in the Athletic Department? Anyone heard anything else?
ReplyDeleteNorth Alabama is were it's at for girls bball for sure. Heck, the two best teams in the State are 15 minutes apart here (6A #1 Sparkman and 6A #2 Bob Jones). Coach knows this and is doing a great job of recruiting here.
ReplyDeleteTyrik Rollison has a picture of his a cake with "Auburn War Eagle" on it. That is AUSOME and Chizerrific!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is AUsome and Chizeriffic!!!
Our coaches have some recruiting aptitude.
No Kathy, he had a speaking engagement back in Florence later. He came to the UNA alum reception beforehand. He told me that he just flew in from speaking in the Dominican Republic earlier. Very busy these days. Seems to be having a great time and very happy to be coaching again.
ReplyDeleteTyrik Rollison - The above referenced picture is on Facebook. Yeah, Tyrick and I are Facebook "friends." It's how we roll.
ReplyDeleteClearly some of you are in need of Facebook Etiquette 101.
ReplyDeleteGuys I wish we would have coordinated a meeting spot for all the Hotties in the House today but who knew there would be a million people at the game??
ReplyDeleteNorth Alabama is the spot for women's spots in general I think. A good friend of mine is in Huntsville and his daughter is being recruited in basketball by most of the big programs...and she is 14!
Denny they try that set saving mess during football season in the student section too. I saw several incidents involving frats and one with the swim team (of all groups).
Can Nell Fortner coach the men for the rest of the year? I dont think I've ever seen Pat summit get out coached but she had her hands full today.
Tyrik Rollison come on down!! Just make sure you hit those books and get a tutor for the ACT.
set=seat
ReplyDeleteAU plane leaving Tulsa heading to Dallas.
ReplyDeleteCoach Chizik is suppose to be doing his in-home with Nosa and Emory Blake this week so maybe thats where they are headed.
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing as FB decorum when you're 18. Take a look at his pre-visit post.
ReplyDeleteBesides, Ty authorized me to disclose his AU cake to the HABOTN peeps. No worries.
Back from all the wedding hoopla.....Yea to the Ladies! They are awesome. I hope some of their talent inspires the guys!
ReplyDeleteWar Eagle Girl,
ReplyDeleteWho got married?
cincy...my daughter that just graduated from AU and now on her way to Hawaii!! The life of a young person....sigh.....
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful!? My daughter graduated from Auburn on May 10, 2007 and got married May 19. It was a whirlwind, but sooooo much fun. Made me want to be young again - not that I'm old :)
ReplyDeleteIt's even more wonderful to have a little money left in the coffer now!!
ReplyDeleteDoWhat?: I took down the Rollison Facebook page. I just now saw it. Had a HOTTIE's name on the page and I just didn't feel good about it.
ReplyDeleteno worries
ReplyDeletejayg...thanks for keeping us up to date for those in the gump that couldn't get the game...i had to wait for the score to scroll across the bottom of ESPN to find out what was going on....
ReplyDeletejay
ReplyDeletedid you know they are quoting you over on Track 'em tigers website?
everyone quotes jay, he is the omniscient force of auburn athletics.
ReplyDeletei hate to rain on the parade, but rollison won't qualify. i can see into the future.
Sponge in the hot house. ABC news says Rollison committed to AU on his facebook page. That what you guys talking about? He may not qualify, but it gives AU a little momentum going into signing day
ReplyDeleteAnybody home?...... Crickets.....
ReplyDeleteJGT--I don't post often but I try to read as much as I can in between class etc. You should come get crazy with the Lunatics (well, maybe not as much for TX-Pan Am). Watch out for the super shakers in the student section. I've got one--where is yours?
ReplyDeleteGetting quoted usually is good, right?
ReplyDeleteYes, unless you are Tony Franklin.
ReplyDeleteTop ten for Tony Franklin:
ReplyDelete1. How to make a half million bucks while being a dumbass.
2. Sure, I'll get lost. See you in the unemployment line Tommy.
etc
Jay G. Ditto Franklin, or add Rush Probst to that list. Ding!
ReplyDeleteFellow Hotties,
ReplyDeleteI was present for the Auburn vs. Tennessee women's basketball game today and let me just say that I was overcome with emotion at the support. Sold out crowd, I got chills multiple times during the game. Boddie is....I'm going to say it....the best point guard in the SEC if not the nation. I have respect for her because that's my old position. She's the shizz...rhymes with Chizz. War Eagle everyone. I love you all!
Was I the only one unaware that Emory Blake is former Cincy QB Jeff Blake's son?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the AU women!
ReplyDeleteJGT- great job on the recruiting updates, and #1000!
Way to go Lady Tigers! Who knew when we bought the tickets back in Nov. that they'd be going into that game undefeated? It was our first ever and it was FANTASTIC! They are so exciting to watch.
ReplyDeleteGreat job by the ladies yesterday and all the fans that attended. Big ups to all.
ReplyDeleteFootball seems to have had a good weekend, and I look forward to the commitments going public and on the record.
David Denby, Author of Snark, is on the CBS Early Show. He said being snarky is bad. I think he would disapprove of Monica.
ReplyDeleteSnark, for the lack of a better word, is good.
ReplyDeletelol @ facebook etiquette. the fact that someone would even dream that such exists is funny.
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember back in 1994 when I commited to Auburn as a student. I didn't do it on facebook or at a press conference, I just filled out a ton of paperwork, took some tests and mailed a check.
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, I'm still mailing checks for that college education.
Looking back, maybe I should have announced my intentions to go to Auburn in one of those early archaic chat rooms of the time.
AUant, I had no idea.
ReplyDeleteMissed opportunity for me to get my old Bengals jersey signed.
In a related story, I just won an eBay auction for a sweet Ki-Jana Carter jersey.
Did anyone see the article where Saban told AJ McCarron and Trent Richardson not to visit UT? McCarron told the reporter that Saban didn't think it would look right and he wasn't "comfortable" with them visiting UT and Lance Thompson. I've heard of borderline prospects being told these things, but what is he going to do, pull offers to these guys if they visit?
ReplyDeletemorning
ReplyDeleteyo...rollison ..i hope you qualify
ReplyDeleteHello hotties....finally got me an account...been right here all along..just in silence.great to be here...so ..WAR EAGLE!
ReplyDeleteHe might be able to do more than pull their scholly offers. Maybe take away the keys to the company Escalade?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Pat Summitt can kiss my ass.
ReplyDeleteI don't need a damn Tennessee Vols coach telling me how to support an Auburn team.
Worry about your own orange wagon, Pat.
War Damn Eagle!
Jay, congratulations on the Carter jersey. I can imagine some fierce competition for old Bengals merchandise.
ReplyDeleteMorning HOTTIES!
ReplyDeleteAnother Happy Morning at the home front in Mobile.....
Everyone have a great day!
Gnome,
ReplyDeleteWhy the hatred for Pat Summit? I've delt with her several times and have seen nothing but class from her.
Jay G,
ReplyDeleteYou need to find a good David Klingler or Jim Breech jersey.
WE RK,
ReplyDeleteit's because Pat Summitt made this statement after the ball game
"It's about time these Auburn fans got into the gym and watched the women play basketball," Summitt said. "Nell has done a great job. She's got a great team."
Dang AUnMobilz. Who p'd in your cheerios this morning?
ReplyDeleteKidding of course.
Seriously though, that was almost too perky for a Monday morning.
Morning all. Someone please deliver good news today and just help me get through it.
Summit's comment was spot on though.
ReplyDeletegood articles in the MA, today, jgt. loved that game!
ReplyDeleteI consider Pat Summitt the best basketball coach, men or women, of all time.
ReplyDeleteI consider her credible.
She's earned the right to be cross or pious or whatever that was yesterday.
MT,
ReplyDeleteI gooder than good!
Thanks, scott!
ReplyDeleteEhh,the Gnome sounds like he/she is blowing off steam.
ReplyDeleteHow's recruiting looking? I've been out of the loop for a couple weeks.
There wasn't anything Pat Summitt said that wasn't true. I don't see where there is any need for the anger.
ReplyDeleteHow bout a new thread about how great this blog is and how it is superior to all others
ReplyDeleteIm so stoked bout signin up...get to chat with the greatest AU fans around
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't 2 hours away and all women's games were either during the week or on a Sunday, I'd be at every game. Nell has done an absolutely fantastic job, so I will definitely be attending more games.
ReplyDeletePat is the Summit of coaches ... and she can be the Summit of Snarkiness, too.
ReplyDeleteTruth is the most painful of weapons.
It's been three years since i've been to a hoops game of any kind ... shame on me.
I also take her words as a not so subtle dig that they're still Tennessee and we're still Auburn.
Jet!
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how i took it also.
As if no big deal to Tennessee, they are use to it!
Having trouble making the score you need on your college entrance exams?

Sorry I was out of the loop all weekend. There were some parole violation issues.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the big 1000 Mr. Jay G. Tate.
To respond to an earlier post: The Egan kid from Prattville, although he's an awesome kicker, has some academic issues. He would be a good addition to the team, but has a few things to work out. He's the only kicker I've ever seen called for unnecessary roughness. He knocked a kid from Daphne(I think) out for giving him the business on an extra point. When they lined up for the kickoff, Egan hunted him down.
Jay,
ReplyDeleteWhere do you rank John Wooden as a basketball coach if you think Pat is the all time best coach?
I consider Wooden to be the best COACH period of all time.
ReplyDelete
