Hey everyone. I have three days remaining in my Gannett-mandated furlough.
See Sunday's entry for more details.
Please feel free to discuss issues as usual in the comment section. I hate this it has come to this, but it has. I blame greedy consumers. If we'd all narrow the chasm between what we want to afford and we actually can afford, our world would be happier
Fight the power!
substance
ReplyDeleteCriminal, your power back on?
ReplyDeleteso close
ReplyDeleteWhere is CT, anyway? I wanted to discuss Lost!
ReplyDeleteWasn't LSU supposed to be closer to the bottom of the SEC West this yr? Someone forgot to tell them.
ReplyDeletePower is back. Thanks for asking.
ReplyDeleteWow. These threads realy do start on their own!
You better watch out, though. The weather is nice today... maybe a little too nice. Don't count on you power being on the whole day.
ReplyDeleteI'm unhappy. This article says inflation is at its highest level in six months because:
ReplyDelete"The acceleration was led by a 3.7 percent surge in energy prices with gasoline prices jumping by 15 percent, the biggest gain in 14 months."
I monitor wholesale gas (petrol) prices very carefully. That price has dropped from 1.28/gal to 1.07/gal during the past 10 days. So ... WTH?
1. How dare JGT blame the good people of the United States of America!
ReplyDelete2. Hoopie suggested we pick a new fan fav to be the vehicle for second-guessing coaches. I nominate two: Jhag and Hoopie. Shoot, if we're gonna be irrational, we might as well do it up right.
Criminal...
ReplyDeleteWhere would one monitor wholesale gas prices?
One more thing.... I hate &$%#* conference calls.
Article here: Wholesale inflation takes biggest jump in 6 months
ReplyDeleteYes Will...
ReplyDeleteAnd Alabama was supposed to win the west....which is funny on so many levels...

ReplyDeleteFSJ: On the CNBC.com homepage, there is a graph on the top left-hand side. Click on its "oil" tab and look at the "GAS" line.
ReplyDeleteIt's currently 1.0733.
I check this several times per day. I find it fascinating.
Thanks CT.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the previous deletion..
I'm paying 1.91 at the pump.
ReplyDeleteI have seen retailers claim that they receive a "1 cent per gallon profit."
If that's true, who gets the other .83/gal? Is that the freight company? Those tankers hold approximately 7,000 gallons each. So you're telling me the freight company is paid $5,200 to transport that petrol from the refinery to the pump?
I WANT THAT BUSINESS.
Cost: $750. Maybe.
Maybe they meant that one percent of each gallon gives them no profit?
ReplyDeleteFSJ ... you can look at the graphs and seen when wholesalers get their emails notifying them to raise or lower prices. It's hilarious. Just like today with oil -- price is up 3% for truly nebulous reasons.
ReplyDeleteThey got the email last night.
CT, I heard the reason for the increase in gas prices at the pump is because of increased production costs. They will use any excuse to rape the consumer.
ReplyDeleteHere is a site to monitor wholesale gas prices
ReplyDeletehttp://www.bloomberg.com/energy/
Bryce Brown's offer to expire, interesting...
ReplyDeleteWhats the deal with Robert Marve?
Luv ... how about the classic "in advance of hurricane season" alibi? We've had, what, one significant hurricane since Katrina in late August 2005?
ReplyDeleteTrue dat, love. That's the reason I am never agreeing to go to the back room with the attendant at the gas station again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, paladin.
ReplyDeleteCT, LOL, I hear ya! It's pure D BS!!
ReplyDeleteBryce Brown is being led down the wrong path and it's sad to see.
ReplyDeletemichael, that's rather disturbing...that you would even consider going to the back room.
ReplyDeleteand why less than a year ago were prices at the pump almost $4.00/gal. around these here parts and now it's under $2.00?? It just infuriates me! The only way to fight back is to walk or ride a bike!
ReplyDeleteand why when gas prices were high was it bad for the economy and now that they are low, it's still bad for the economy??
ReplyDeleteMichael is gullible.
ReplyDeleteI've seen him lured with trinkets, empty promises and even a used jar of peanut butter.
I don't understand why crude prices are blamed for the rise in gasoline prices, when now crude prices are crashing and gasoline prices are rising. Isn't that having it both ways for someone? I don't even know who to be mad at, maybe if Jay was here he could tell me.
ReplyDeleteLuv...
ReplyDeleteIts because most of these so called "economists" don't know what the heck they are talking about..
Even though he is just a stock market guy....the funniest is the guy on the Mad Money Show (Jim Cramer).........
Analysis has been done that shows you'd be better off going AGAINST his stock picks.
That's the way I pick my stocks these days ... I tune into all the shows ... and the person who screams the loudest, I follow their advice.
ReplyDeleteIn my defense, CT, the jar of peanut butter was half full (though I saw it as half empty after returning from the back room).
ReplyDeleteAnd do I even need to explain my love of trinkets?
1. Dear Leader comes through in the clutch. I love that guy.
ReplyDelete2. tcruell is a work partner's wife who somehow must have created a blog acct when her hubby was signed into our co. google acct on his computer. If I accidentally post when signed into that acct instead of my personal google, is shows up as tcruell.
3. GOOD LUCK PeterF!!!
4. Jay GT puts blame back where it belongs!
5. Luv - I don't like FB either, but soMeONe talked me into it. I'm now friends with Coach Thigpen's wife as well as several HOTTIES. I used pseudo fake personal info when signing in...I still don't trust that whole WWW thing.
FSJ, don't tell Monica that. She loves him.
ReplyDeleteI have a bouncy-ball for you, Michael ...
ReplyDeleteCome hither.
soMeONe
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!
Back in reality, I actually have two bouncy balls at my desk at work. So criminal types and gas attendants will need more than that to lure me.
ReplyDeleteThe reason gas prices are artificially high is that the refineries have scaled back production to keep prices where they are.
ReplyDeleteAs some would say it is all Bush's fault.
ReplyDeleteBrandon, I knew it had something to do with production. Thanks for clearing that up!
ReplyDeleteI think it all has to do with Phase 2.
ReplyDeleteWhatever, Brandon. The reason gas prices are so high is because of Nick Saban. Or was it Tommy Tuberville. I forgot.
ReplyDeleteSuper Dooper Luper Trooper will bring them down for us, though, I have no doubt.
michael, dare I ask?

ReplyDeleteSo if Oku is really ticked that Brown visited UT what is he waiting for?
ReplyDeleteHis "mentor" I would imagine.
ReplyDeleteMcLovin must have caught the blog-killing virus from Will. I'll see if I can't come up with an antiserum.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe Will IS McLovin. You know, people around here sometimes have aliases...
ReplyDeleteWill, I LOVE that pic of your little girl in the Auburn tshirt. She's a cutie. My sister is considering that same name.
ReplyDeleteI have been brainwashed by Hoopie so I'm ready to say it's all the fan's fault. Whatever we're talking about - Oku, gas prices, Michael "issue" - all "the fan's" fault.
ReplyDeleteBB is having which offer withdrawn?
ReplyDeleteSo if the final signing date is April 1st does that mean Oku, Brown, etc HAVE to sign by then or not play?
ReplyDeleteThe U has supposedly decided to not renew his LOI. In other news gasoline is a commodity and commodities are a very shady market indeed. The smallest of expectations can trigger significant swings either way. Also the government takes a nice chuck of change out of the pump price, there's your difference.
ReplyDeleteAlso us ATL folks won't forget the fiasco that occurred this passed summer when they shut down the refineries, we got hosed over because of EPA laws and were basically out of gas for weeks. Also we were paying almost $5/gallon. Talk about shady.
ReplyDeleteHope he enjoy's Canada, because I'm convinced the U was the only place his "mentor" would have allowed him to go.
ReplyDeleteMonica, LOVE your 11:03 post.
ReplyDeleteHere's an Energy Correspondent's view:
ReplyDeleteWhy Are Gas Prices Going Up While Oil Keeps Falling?
I personally vote for the C-O-N-spiracy theory.
Well, Khrushchev said we would one day live in a socialist/communist state.
ReplyDeleteGuess he was right...
The gas prices are being fidgeted with by the oil companies, not the government. Capitalism at its best!
ReplyDeleteMy Auburn Family ...
ReplyDeleteIt is tempting to view these days as the winter of our discontent.
Yes, we are beset by many challenges. The stock and housing markets are suffering. There has been systemic failure within our financial sectors. More and more of our friends, neighbors and family are struggling to do more with less. Our primary means of communications has been temporarily shuttered. Our enemy is howling at the door.
But to surrender to woe is not our history. And I tell you today, is NOT our destiny!
That is why I ask you to join me in a new, fresh vision of the world. My Auburn Family, it is the eve of spring practice where Chiz, Gus, Troop, Lupe, Roof and our fearless leaders will take our young men and school them again in the basics of blocking, tackling and hustling.
I ask you to join me in an era of loving one another, as the Apostle Paul taught us to give preference to one another. Let us reach out to help those less fortunate -- particularly those with sons who have 40-yard dash times that are in the 4.3 range or who are 6-foot-6 and weigh 300 pounds.
I ask you to join me in a crusade to provide affordable (free) housing and transportation to the families of these young men who so desperately need our help.
Because with their help, the leadership of our generals, and the full faith and support of all who love Auburn in believe it, we will forearm shiver our enemy in the throat. And we will place the head of our enemy on a stick to serve as a beacon that we have the greatest Family on the face of the earth.
God bless America. God bless Auburn, and God bless you.
Are you planning on using the same stick we were going to use for kickers? I am all for multi-use tools, but alls I am saying is a kicker and an enemy's head are a lot for one stick to impale.
ReplyDeleteSniff, sniff. Jet I've never heard so eloquent and moving words. May your life be blessed with an abundance of 4.2s.
ReplyDeleteAs Tuscaloosa is technically located in America...
ReplyDeleteAnd as the university of alabama is located in Tuscaloosa...
And as you have asked God to bless America...
Are asking for blessings for bamers, too?
Michael ...
ReplyDeleteShhhh. Multiple sticks. It's a part of the Stick Stimulus legislation I will introduce tomorrow.
Mercy for their souls, Mon.
ReplyDeleteActually, if you had unearthed "Jet Secret Memo No. 3" to be unleashed upon my presidency, we will offer them the opportunity to repent or go to Gitmo, since we have some cages we won't using soon.
No Mercy. Off with their heads!
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO Monica, I like the way think!
ReplyDeleteMichael,
ReplyDeleteThe government taxes the oil companies. The government is buying up other industries including the banks.
Capitalism, you say?
That "stimulus package" was a big F U to capitalism courtesy of President for Life Obama.
'Scuse me while I go throw myself under a bus.
*yawn*
ReplyDeleteI will never turn away from the dark side..
ReplyDeleteSend me to Gitmo...
FSJ, acceptance is the first step. You have accepted that you're on the dark side...so maybe there's hope for you yet! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe have candy.
ReplyDeleteand michael has trinkets.
ReplyDeleteJay G. spreading the blame this week.
ReplyDeleteSpeculation on Rivals radio this morning was that the Bryce Brown visit to UT was the final nail between Kiffykins and Oku. They said they expect Oku to sign with Auburn, but wouldn't be shocked if he picked Syracuse.
Is anyone else glad that Auburn isn't really in the hunt for Brown? The whole "handler" situation seems like trouble waiting to happen.
FSJ: Does not like candy.
ReplyDeleteMon
ReplyDeleteOf course you know, that *yawn* means war.
;-)
Bring it, don't sing it.
ReplyDeleteFSJ,
ReplyDeleteWe'll get you a double wide cage at Gitmo ... so you'll feel at home ... BAMMER!
Just kidding.
Not really.
Well, sorta.
Sorta not.
Well actually, I personally was hoping we got Brown and Oku... Just joshing
ReplyDeleteI must say I feel like crap so I can't think of anything witty to add, but you guys have been cracking me up all week so thanks...
ReplyDeleteSorry you're feeling yucky, Kristina. Get better soon.
ReplyDeletePulling the pin and leaving the scene quickly ...
ReplyDeleteMonica = The Ann Coulter of the Left
I changed my mind..I like SOME candy...
ReplyDeleteLOL Jet....
ReplyDeleteKristina, I hope you feel better real soon. Keep taking large doses of HABOTN and drink plenty of fluids. As to starving or feeding, I don't think it matters.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mon and Doc.
ReplyDeleteBrought it!
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't nice, Jet.
ReplyDeleteOh Gnome. You just brought a knife to a gun fight. You're no fun.
ReplyDeleteThat Lebo dude just won't go away, will he. 4 in a row. Guy's a cat with his 9 lives.
ReplyDeleteLebo's kinda like Les Miles that way.
ReplyDeleteWonder how he looks in a hat?
He can't look any worse than Let 'er Rip Les...
ReplyDeleteLes
Just learned one of my co-workers is, or I should say, was a very frequent racquetball pal of Tommy Thigpen. My co-worker wasn't happy that we stole TT from UNC.
ReplyDeletebeen a rough week, eh Kristina? hope you get over that crap soon. i mean, AU baseball starts tomorrow. yahooo!
ReplyDeleteSo Oku is going to sign the day after Brown?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHave no idea if this is an omen or not...but in the while removing the jumbotron from Bryant-Denny today to make room for the expansion, the jumbotron caught on fire...
ReplyDeleteFire
You can't read that story and still doubt my powers.
ReplyDeleteCrap..that's what I get for starting a post and stopping to do something else.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't make any sense.
I think we got the jist.
ReplyDeleteMonica, you have superior powers.
ReplyDeleteI just have wishful thinking.
Don't look back FSJ, you'll turn into a pillar of salt.
ReplyDeleteMon - I've never doubted.
ReplyDeleteSigned,
Someone who never intended to be FBing.
Don't look back FSJ, you'll turn into a pillar of salt.
ReplyDeleteOhhh...too funny Jet
Do you want to know why you are so sick, Kristeena? It's because you never take off that darn Aubie outfit. Who knows what kind of mold and disease lives in that thing. Send it to the cleaners, yo!
ReplyDeletemichael..
ReplyDeleteI agree..
Aubie costumes have to be covered up in mold and disease...
Just by their very nature..
I hear the Big Al costume is disease free though...
ReplyDeleteOnly if they are never washed, FSJ. Either way, it is better than the requirement for the guy inside of Tidy (or whatever your elephant's name is) to have AIDS.
ReplyDeleteTidy is a better name than Big Al. Alabama mascot naming = fail.
ReplyDeleteYes I would rather rot in a disease infested Aubie suit than wear a big al suit. Um...not that Aubie's suit is disease infested...I'm just saying....yeah this is why I shouldn't post when I am taking cold medicine.
ReplyDeleteFSJ - Did I ever tell you how nice the bammers were to THTjr and me when we were in Tuscaloser for the '04 Iron Bowl? I hope not. They were just as nice as Auburn folks. I was stunned. I expected something more along the lines of LSU or UGa type fans. For about a year after I had a hard time hatin' bama to the very core of my being, though I still hated bama with all my heart.
ReplyDeleteI hope this confession doesn't get me banhammered.
I scrolled over to FSS @ 9:00 Thurs on my cable guide last night. At that time it showed the AU-Vandy game. I'll believe it when I see it.
ReplyDeleteThere's a rumor that it will be preempted by Ohio State-Minn. Evidently some of the Cox executives didn't believe that Auburn actually had a WBB team.
THT - good thing you didn't meet Tidy. That guy tries to give Auburn fans AIDS with dirty needles and stuff. He is not a nice bama fan.
ReplyDeleteDoc:
ReplyDeleteI've actually never had a bad time in Auburn, win or lose...
Ole Miss and Tennessee were the worst.
LSU was bad before the game, but you can't find them after the game. I've never been there when we lost. And each time I've been there we've kicked the Mike Dubose out of them...
I'll blast him with AZT and that newfangled vaccine using my elephant gun.
ReplyDeleteBanhammering would be far too gentle "MR." whoever the heck you are, and what did you do with Dr. HABOTN!?
ReplyDeleteIn 2004, TurboProp and I went to the game. I sent him to our seats, and went to the concession stand to fetch food. He misread the sign and went to the wrong section. Rectalclown Bama Fan made fun of 12 year old for "being an Aub who didn't know how to read."
He came back to me in line red faced and told me what happened, but grabbed my arm and held on for life when I was headed back into the section to either a: cuss the guy out b: sling his rectalclown self off the upper deck, or c: die trying.
Translated, screw with my family, I'll kill you just to watch you die.
FSJ notwithstanding, I don't like these people. They are mean to children and dogs.
Yes, UA-T has more success in BTR than we do in Tuscaloser. I've been to BTR win and lose, and you're right about them when they lose, they're nowhere to be found. But when they win they're as ugly/mean after the game as before.
ReplyDeleteOnly been to knoxville for one game. Don't really recall much about it. From '67-'85 I went to most AU games in Athens. Those folks are just plain rude.
Fortunately, no Auburn fan has ever acted inappropriately. I am proud of that fact.
ReplyDeleteAlot of Bama fans that I know complained about UGA fans this year..
ReplyDeleteI've only been over there once (1995) and we beat them by 30+ points so they were more upset with their team than us..
I will say once we got to our correct seats, the fans around us were semi-cordial and told us at halftime, with them leading 6-0, that they wished we would hurry up and get it over with because they knew they weren't going to win. I knew then that UAT was crumbling.
ReplyDeleteFlorida was the worst experience with a-hole fans for me. Quite a few of em. Ran into zero hostile LSU fans or Tennnessee fans at those places. Never been to Hell, AL, so I can't comment on them.
ReplyDeleteI forgot the 10,000 Miami fans that were in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl in 1992/1993....
ReplyDeleteThey ran their mouths all week......
As far as this year the Tennessee fans were much more obnoxious than the LSU fans were...
ReplyDeleteMy first trip to LSU was '97, in seats surrounded by AU fans.
ReplyDeleteNext trip in '07 stuck in end zone with drunk LSU students (sitting with sober parents who didn't seem to care their son was an A$$).
I'll only order LSU tix if I know I'll be in midst of nice AU people. Excuse redundancy.
BTW, I had security escort their son from the stadium. They just sat there quietly.
ReplyDeleteIt's after 5 and I've still got work to do. Why am I HABOTNing?
ReplyDeleteHABOTN has saved me so much money (hyperbole alert) from eBay that I can pay off my mortgage. Then after another month I should be able to afford intervention.
Worst/Best crappy fan experience.
ReplyDeleteSept. 17, 1994
LSU at Auburn
Several friends and I were sitting in the end zone with the biggest, loudest, drunkest LSU fan. He was nasty (as in gross) and obnoxious. We were winning in the 4th and were all excited. So this guy says over and over and over, "it ain't over till the fat lady sings" and in the next couple of plays they kicked a FG to go ahead.
BUT THEN! With 2 minutes or so Brian Robinson got the INT and ran back 41 yards (in our direction) for the winning touchdown.
I turned around and started singing to the LSU dude. It was a good moment.
Well, at least someone sang. The fat lady was probably an LSU fan.
ReplyDeleteBTW, that was the game Mrs THT packed a PURPLE shirt for THTjr to wear on game day. Quick trip to Tiger Rags solved that dilemma.
ReplyDeleteMonica ... you just shoulda done the Jennifer Jason Leigh trick with one of your avatarian shoes on the LSU fan.
ReplyDeleteI assure you the LSU obnox-o-meter would have dropped to zero.
Oku update of sorts. I just listened to the Rivals Radio show from this morning and Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Mike Farrel said Auburn is the team to beat for Oku and should be announcing soon.
ReplyDeleteUh oh... we all know how good Auburn is when we are the team to beat!
ReplyDeleteI'm outta here sports fans. On my way home for, by special request, my favorite meal... BREAKFAST!
ReplyDeleteYes, we're breakfasting for supper tonight. YUMMY!!!
oh, yes. Very good point, Michael.
ReplyDeleteSounds good Dr. I can eat Breakfast anytime of the day!!!
ReplyDeleteBrinner is Turk's favorite meal.
ReplyDeleteI need sports, any Auburn sport.
ReplyDeleteI would even take basketball at this point — swimming, diving, soccer, gymnastics.
AUMom, in two hours, the Lady Tigers will be on...
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would ever watch women's basketball but...
ReplyDeleteOur Lady Tigers are wonderful (and it's not football season).
Thanks, Luv. I hope I can find it. Is it on Fox Sports South?
Monica, can you actually walk in those things?? I wouldn't even be able to stand up!
ReplyDeleteAUMom, yes, Fox Sports South. I hate that it's not in HD here, but that's Charter for ya!
ReplyDeleteAh, Luv, we are still in the Dark Ages and don't have an HD TV.
ReplyDeleteWe have Direct TV so I had to hunt for FSS but I found it.
I move we decrease Michael's hotness by 10 degrees for
ReplyDelete1. Creating an opening so big FSJ was able to push an elephant through it.
2. Letting said statement said unanswered for 5 minutes.
3. Having a lame response when he did answer.
No FSS here. I've got a listing for the Sunday game at UGA though.
ReplyDeleteLuv, Charter has a unique outlook on running a business. They try to make you NOT buy their "service." That is the only logical conclusion I can come to. Hopefully, their bankruptcy will result in another cable company purchasing their assets and we will all be delivered from Charter Hell.
ReplyDeleteLeach is staying at Texas Tech after all.
ReplyDeleteNovaTiger, if I took a dump on a block of ice in Antarctica and allowed it to sit for a week, my feces would still be hotter than you.
ReplyDelete1. yes
2. they
3. would
this place is getting chippy without JGT's guidance...
ReplyDeleteWhere's Mobilz? Is he live-blogging the ladies game for us tonight?
I never claimed to be hot.
ReplyDeleteYou just need to up your game a little. You're slipping.
I'll take a shot at the blogging if it is on Knology in da Gump
ReplyDeleteWell I hate to bring up the obvious...
ReplyDeleteI'm the hottest bammer on here....
It's like a soap opera in here ...

Cobra Commander made an appearance yesterday.
If it were sweeps month, we'd get a Hoopie lecture.
Tennessee ladies are down 59-42 to UK. I donno if anyone cares but it's a topic
ReplyDeleteJet...
ReplyDeleteYou have a way with words...
LMAO at the sweeps month comment..
Our women are up against Vandy in about 15 minutes. Tune into Fox Sports if you've got it.
ReplyDeleteThey're playing for #1 in the SEC. (We're 10-1, Vandy 9-2)
Also Mike Leach agreed to the deal, GOOD, stay away from Gus.
ReplyDeleteA few minutes to tip off ...
ReplyDeleteA few facts ...
Historically, Auburn has struggled in Nashville, winning only 5 in 14 trips to Music City, USA.
The last trip was particularly painful, a 35-point loss to the Commode-A-Dores.
Let's turn it around tonight!
Jet.... Ch. 31
ReplyDeleteI looked earlier and didn't see it... I looked again just now and found it!
worst au experience=au v. syracuse when we tied them. want to talk rude? their folks were OUT OF CONTROL!
ReplyDeleteUT-UK will bleed past 8 p.m. Will report on AU as soon as it switches over.
ReplyDeleteUK holding on late, 63-56 with 1:25 left.
What has happened to the Lady Vols this year? I realize that Candace Parker has been gone for 2 years and this team is nearly all freshmen but I thought Pat Summit could coach high school players to win.
ReplyDeleteUK defeats UT ... 66-56
ReplyDeleteOkay, okay, UK won. Now onto the Auburn game, please.
ReplyDeleteYOUR AUBURN TIGERS!!!!
ReplyDeleteDewanna Bonner

AU misses 5 in a row ... Vandy beating AU down the floor 8-3
ReplyDeletewhere's our lady tigers?!
ReplyDeleteMany good shooting teams struggle at Vandy ... AU 67-1 when scoring 70 under Fortner.
ReplyDeleteUnder 16 TV timeout 8-4, Vandy.
AU not shooting well. Looking tight.
Way to blog Senator!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates.
having the teams at the end of the court is weird
ReplyDeleteJet, you should live blog on your incredibly active blog:
ReplyDeleteJet Blog!
sloppy! at least the commies are throwing up bricks
ReplyDeleteJet = JGTIW
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! Yahoo's not even providing updates on this one. No Sports South up here. I'm stuck with Hurricanes hockey. Too many Yankees have infiltrated.
An offensive rebound (for the Tigers) would be wonderful.
ReplyDelete14-8 need some defense!
ReplyDeleteAU can't hit from long range ... defense spotty ...
ReplyDeletebasket for Dores ... plus one after under 12 timeout ...
It's Vandy 14, AU 8.
The orange uniforms are reinforcing my color preference — blue
ReplyDeleteWhen FGs equal turnovers, it's a bad start
ReplyDeleteAh, man
ReplyDeleteVandy 17
Auburn 8
Vandy goes from Boston to LA ... 17-8 ... another turnover, but thanks ... Vandy gives it back.
ReplyDeleteThis is the 2nd time when no one was paying attention
ReplyDeleteAct II: Yankees One

Vandy 19
ReplyDeleteAuburn 10
Another turnover
ReplyDeleteAnd score for Vanderbilt
It's Taco Casa night for Auburn ... OLE'
ReplyDelete21-10 ... Nell's seen enough. Timeout.
9-2 scoring run for Vanderbilt
ReplyDeletethat's not the team I saw a couple of weeks ago
ReplyDeleteThe HABOTN is now a nice comedy show and enjoyable, but why are folks yawning at conversation that takes away from the cute and quippy. Is this only a comedy show?
ReplyDeleteThe real soap opera brought into the HABOTN is when "info" regarding human beings is gathered from Rivals, etc. and shared for pleasure/redicule.
So I guess it's OK to gossip about recruits/players/coaches, but don't dare point out predictably silly fan tendacies in the form of a question?........Nah, that's not fair.
Here's a question....Which folks only know football to the extent they can research on ESPN and Rivals?
One possible answer....many of the folks that were angered by that question.
Another possible answer...folks that only gossip about football and discourage criticism of fans.
Jet...It can't be Blog Sweeps Week, we're in the off season.
Another layup for Vanderbilt
ReplyDeleteMemorial Gym is in their head ... defense hasn't crossed their minds 25-12 ... 8:30
ReplyDelete25-12

ReplyDelete22 points in the paint for Vandy. That's terrible defense.
