I'm sure many of the HOTTIES will be in attendance. I will not ... for reasons we've already discussed for too often. My man Bag Moon will be there to chronicle the day's events for you all ... in the newspaper.
I'll see if I can get him to post on the blog as well.
For those of you who will be there, definitely post your observations in the comments section. I'd love to keep up with the game here.

NO DROPS!
ReplyDeleteGood grief, two for two!
ReplyDeleteSee you at the A-Day game! I'll be the one with the HP graphing calculator and slide rule to keep track of the score.
David,
ReplyDeleteAre you in Opelika?
Peter,
ReplyDeleteUntil noon!
What happens if Brent Poole is clearly the best QB on the field today?
ReplyDeleteNot having the QBs live is kinda bogus.
I wanna know if I can bring in a DSLR to the game!!!
ReplyDeleteWar Damn A Day!
ReplyDeleteWhen and why exactly did spring practice games become television worthy???
ReplyDeleteMon, they didn't.
ReplyDeleteJet in Opelika ... soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is killing me. Absolutely killing me. Just killing me.
Any way to watch this game w/o Comcast?
ReplyDeleteI guess I don't had CSS!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, EZ. Are you going to the game?
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to find a way before I go crazy
ReplyDeletejhag, make sure on the top-left of the page here.
ReplyDeleteIf nobody comes up with a solution today, I can get a tape of it to you on Monday, since I'll be in your area.
In route...
ReplyDeleteIf you have cbssports all access password, the game will be on there. It will also be on the radio. Try WMSP.
ReplyDeleteDo you get it over by you Peter?
ReplyDeleteI saw with my own eyes Marcus Lattimore drinking up in Tallahassee when I was up there two weeks ago I should have reported it to the NCAA...these kids were talking FSU football to him and the kid was rather impaired.
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck in a Birmingham hotel room, surrounded by the Bammer faithful with no access to the real A-Day game, this blows.
ReplyDeleteSame here seanzie....
ReplyDeleteMy prediction: JUSTIN ALBERT will win MVP.
Kick-off is coming!
ReplyDeleteCaudle is playing
ReplyDeleteGood to hear, Kodi took first snap?
ReplyDeleteKodi took first drive. he and Tate have been switching out with Caudle and Albert
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Tate 10 yards
ReplyDeleteBefore that Fanin caught a 40 yard pass.
ReplyDeleteRadio coverage at the usual places for those who can't get it on TV.
ReplyDeleteKodi horrible throw, Fannin saves him by snatching it from defender.
ReplyDeletehow big is the crowd?
ReplyDeleteYes. I'm listening to it on WJOX 94.5
ReplyDeletepeople there have said lower area pretty packed, but upper deck is closed.
ReplyDeleteNo Onterio yet?
ReplyDeleteAttendance looks pretty slim
ReplyDeletehard to tell how many
Onterio returning kicks...
ReplyDeleteDang the slim crowd CANT be good for the recruits there
ReplyDeleteCaudle not getting it done 3 and out second time in there
ReplyDeleteno 2nd team o line.
ReplyDeleteDurst just punted 50 yards with good hang time
ReplyDelete70 yard end around Zachary TD
ReplyDeleteHow can we even field two o-lines? We can't can we
ReplyDelete70 yard TD McCalebb reverse
ReplyDeleteIf the defense is ahead of the offense someone better tell the offense.
ReplyDeleteWait our offense scored two TD's...must be lying
ReplyDeleteAnnoucers said Zachary I don't know.
ReplyDeleteOnterio or Terrel?
ReplyDeleteno drops!
ReplyDeleteI may have heard it on the radio wrong. probably zachery
ReplyDeleteJhag, that's three TDs
ReplyDeleteAnnouncers saying Caudle looks good, but bad luck with the second team, what say you watchers?
ReplyDeleteSo to those fortunate enough to have CSS is it safe to say this offense looks legit so far?
ReplyDeleteCaudle is not getting protection. Plus one of his sacks was due to a high snap and a bull rush.
ReplyDeleteit looked like the TDs came against the 2nd D with walk-on and backups primarily on the field. caudle has been the victim of poor blocking from backups and a bad snap. drops and drops. the WRs better get ready to do some running.
ReplyDeleteThis offense LOOKS like the real thing. If we have a decent defense it looks great.
ReplyDelete2 Drops and a fall down. Not real smooth.
ReplyDeleteWell Chip considering we struggled against the same caliber players @ MSU, Southern Miss and even LaMo last season, I will take these scoring plays.
ReplyDeletei do like the way they are competing on offense. i just feel like the big plays came against walk-ons and backups that we should hope never see the field much this year.
ReplyDeleteMixed opinions here
ReplyDeletei can't agrue. gimmie points any way we can get em.
ReplyDeleteJhag, there will always be mixed opinions, but that makes it fun.
ReplyDeletekodi threw what should have been an INT and fannin caught it off the deflection.
ReplyDeleteSucks that Trotter is gone for the year, but he should get another redshirt and preserve his eligibility.
ReplyDeletetate has looked good. i think it is the fastest i've ever seen him run.
ReplyDeletejhag, yeah, I get it on the west coast. I'm not home right now, but set the dvr. I'll make you a tape if you want to watch it this week.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell which defense is on the field, but I am sure the first tD came against the no. 1 defense.
ReplyDeleteWell keep in mind we're down to a skeleton crew in the secondary.
ReplyDeleteThis is going too fast. about 34 minutes for a half.
ReplyDeletetrotter being hurt just means there is indeed a 1% chance rollison or mosley sees the field this year.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's going to be Caudle, and I would prefer the opportunity for the long ball, even risking turnovers.
ReplyDeletei saw sample, henderson, bell and some other numbers i didn't recognize on just about all the TDs.
ReplyDeleteThey just showed a replay and it was terrel Zachery on the TD end around.
ReplyDeleteit looked like caudle's drives were the ones where toro, coleman, goggins, ricks, blanc, thorpe etc. were on the field.
ReplyDeleteThe offense is definitely fast and no look over to the bench.
ReplyDeletePF ... I am putting in an order for one of those tapes. I'll pay the shipping.
ReplyDeleteFeed me. Need info.
ReplyDeleteback to the bedroom with CSS.
ReplyDeleteNo activity right now half time.
ReplyDeleteIs it August yet?
ReplyDeleteAlbert slammed down 2 yards
ReplyDeleteAlbert 1st down
ReplyDeleteYeah i'll pay shipping thatd be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI can't find it on radio online im retarded lil help over here please
ReplyDeleteKodi baaaad pass
ReplyDeleteWait I think ive got it
ReplyDeleteit's live on wjox
ReplyDeleteanother drop.
ReplyDeleteWatched the first half..... .
ReplyDeleteNot real impressed with either QB..... In fact we don't have a QB IMHO
LT
Good long pass by Kodi should have been caught.
ReplyDeleteKodi has had some good long throws too; Caudle has not been the only one hurt by WR drops. Winter just dropped a long one from Kodi
ReplyDeleteIs it halftime because on 740 im getting Sweet Home Alabama playing?
ReplyDeleteonterrio long TD
ReplyDeleteMcCalebb Took it all the way
ReplyDeletedidn't recognize many defensive starters out there though. OM ran it untouched right up the middle. caudle was in with the starting OL.
ReplyDeletei don't think winter dropped it. i think cole deflected it on the replay.
ReplyDeleteGood pass Caudle
ReplyDeleteNo complaints with the running game though.
ReplyDeleteLT
Hmmm, I just tuned in to 740 and the A-Day game sounds a lot like Van Halen singing Jump.
ReplyDelete2nd half?
ReplyDeleteSame here Steve i can't find this damn game
ReplyDeletecaudle to fannin TD
ReplyDeleteDANGEROUS Pass...... 8 out of 10 thats an INT.
ReplyDeleteNice little TD though
LT
Caudle long pass to the 3 yard 45 yards Caudle to Fannin short TD pass
ReplyDeletenice passes by caudle on that drive.
ReplyDeleteThis must be 3rd team D cause no way we score this often
ReplyDeletecaudle did almost hit the underneath LB and it was tipped right to the WR one first play of the drive. good otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThe JOX feed just died on me. Now I'm upset.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the Alabama defense jsut great plays. J/K
ReplyDeleteHolding call AJ Green
ReplyDeleteA little more air under that ball its gone to the house......
ReplyDeleteLT
Anyone can dare to watch the Alabama A-day game? Im kinda tempted but it will probaly just piss me off
ReplyDeleteHow long was Onterio's run?
ReplyDelete43-18 offense
ReplyDelete3 and out long pass just over thrown
ReplyDeletekodi is now running with #2 OL.
ReplyDeletejhag, know thy enemy.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Chicago and Boston will go into 10 overtimes and the Alabama Spring Game wont air on espn
ReplyDeleteSo, it sounds like the offense is doing well. Is it our offense is catching up with our defense, our has our defense adjusted itself to be on the same level as our offense?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather watch Paint Dry that the UAT game.
ReplyDeleteLT
Steve, Chicken or the Egg?
ReplyDeleteAny chance we could get video of Tony Franklin played explaining how he was an idiot played on the jumbotron between plays? It could be inspirational.
ReplyDeletejox feed died on me too. i cant find another online
ReplyDeleteWOW this Celtics/Bulls game is crazy!
ReplyDeleteAll the bammer fans are flipping out right now their little practice was suppoused to be on ESPN 20 minutes ago hahaa
ReplyDeleteFannin is a BEAST!!!
ReplyDeleteNice Long Pass by Caudle!!!! Tight spiral on the money for TD!
LT
Finally a QB that can throw a damn touchdown.
ReplyDeleteceltics bulls OT bye bye Bammer ESPN
ReplyDeleteIM SO HAPPY!
ReplyDeleteOooh, Boston goes into overtime. Man, you could have ignorant rednecks beating the crap out of their wives all over northern Alabama over this one.
ReplyDeletehahahahaah OT!!!!
ReplyDelete.... To add to Seanzie- one that can throw one of more than 5 yards.....
ReplyDeleteLT
Cotton were you watching that? I yelled so loud when he missed that free throw..the bammers have to be so pissed off
ReplyDeleteI think traffic just stopped in Birmingham.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else getting C R A P from W J O X?
ReplyDeletewaao 103.7 works
ReplyDeleteMan, Bama game not on TV because of a big baby. Never thought that would happen.
ReplyDeleteCotton, link it up sir!
ReplyDeleteim praying for 2 OTs.
ReplyDeleteRepeat......
ReplyDeleteFannin = BEAST
LT
http://www.waao.com/
ReplyDeletelisten live option
Cotton, you the man.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.waao.com/
ReplyDeletei found it!! Brent Poole is in the game oh my
Tanks Cotton!
ReplyDeleteEveryone plays in the spring game.
ReplyDeletepeople who pronounce Auburn as O-burn, make me mad.
ReplyDeleteWES BRYUM made a FG? what!
ReplyDeleteHey, I am having trouble connecting to WAAO. Would all of you mind disconnecting so I can hear the game?
ReplyDeleteno problem. Celtics Bulls tie game still in OT. 1:03 left. please please please keep on goin
ReplyDeleteField goals from 46 are a bonus.... Right down the middle.
ReplyDelete45,000 attending the game - that's good.. no more than 8 or 9,000 when I was in school
LT
Eh, I dont think everyone should play this is isn't little league =)
ReplyDeleteSteve make sure you hit play.
ReplyDeletejhag, he must have shanked it off the side of his foot or something.
ReplyDeleteSteve, try your luck with one of these.
ReplyDeletehttp://auburntigers.cstv.com/sponsorship/aub-footbl-affiliates.html
Who the hell is this Michael Alexander kid?
ReplyDeleteI thought i knew everyone on Auburn's roster...some of these names I have no idea
Just keeps saying connecting and for some reason shaking my monitor doesn't seem to help. Hmmm, works for etch-a-sketch.
ReplyDeleteOnly 30 seconds left Steve...and it's a running clock.
ReplyDelete57-31
ReplyDeleteSo I was able to listen to the last 4 minutes of Brent Poole throwing to the inturmal players
ReplyDeleteByrum for 51...final play.
ReplyDeleteThat's it!!
ReplyDeleteAUBURN WINS!!!!!
LT
byrum missed a 51 yarder to end it.
ReplyDeleteThat was over too quick.
ReplyDeleteSo who wins the job? I think Neil is the man come fall.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear feedback from recruits
ReplyDeleteit was hard to say at QB. both looked better when going with the #1 OL.
ReplyDelete45,000+ attendance...better then last year I would imagine
ReplyDeleteBoston takes TO with 11.6 seconds left. Down 2. This is the only time i will ever cheer fro the celtics (to tie, at least)
ReplyDeleteboth made passes that should have been INTs.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Cotton!
ReplyDeleteThis is classic right here..the Bama spring game was suppoused to be on almost 40 minutes ago!
ReplyDeleteIt may have Jhag, the sidewalk fans will just be SOL.
ReplyDeleteoverall the offense took it to the D. i'm still not sure how many D starters played all that much. thompson and cole had some nice plays at saftey. el toro shut down an option that looked like it was going to be a good play.
ReplyDeleteMan, I could have went down there and watched the game. My spouse mandated function won't begin until 5 CDT.
ReplyDeleteCome the fall you can bet Todd will be in the mix. The QB race is likely far from over.
ReplyDeleteI take it A-Day game is over?
ReplyDeleteDang game over
ReplyDeletei was especially impressed with the play of WRs. still some dropsies, but overall much better than at any point the last few years.
ReplyDeleteSteve, I think you're wrong there. I don't think Todd will be in the mix at all.
ReplyDeleteClose, but Ray Allen's shot rims out as time expires. Chicago wins.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope ESPN milks these last few minutes as long as possible.
MILK IT espn!
ReplyDeleteCome on August!
ReplyDeleteSeanzie, you could be right, but he is probably the best shot we have at a QB, although it may not be a good shot.
ReplyDeleteI suppose 40 minutes late is better than 40 minutes early. The whole 1st quarter has been missed
ReplyDeleteI disagree, I think Caudle could be a great QB if he can cut down on throwing into coverage, that's easy to fix. On the other hand, Todd and his Robocop shoulder and 1 year left doesn't add much upside at all. I think they're going to look for continuity as well as playmaking ability.
ReplyDeleteSaban looks ridiculous out there on the field in his grey suit
ReplyDeleteSo, for those of you that saw the game, in 500 words or less please describe the difference between this offense and the Franklin Experience.
ReplyDeleteSaban looks ridiculous regardless. His hair and general attitude is very carnival/sideshow like.
ReplyDeletePassing stats for the Big 2:
ReplyDeleteNeil Caudle was 11-of-16 for 161 yards
Kodi Burns 3-of-8 for 48 yards
I don't get why kids would want to play for him
ReplyDeleteSo it's gonna be Caudle
ReplyDeleteCaudle's stats look pretty good, but what impressions did you get from watching him?
ReplyDeleteCaudle also with a pair of TDs.
ReplyDeleteWow. Over the radio Kodi sounded much better than that. I didnt think there was a single incompletion the first drive, which Kodi led. there were at least 3 complete passes right there, I thought.
ReplyDeleteIt really is nice to see Caudle get his shot. The kid went through a lot with knee surgeries and I think Franklin may have let him carry a clipboard, but that was about it.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't decide the QB race based upon just this game. The thing you want to see with QBs is consistency. It will be interesting to see how Malzahn evaluates things.
ReplyDeleteUnbiasly thinking...not many people are watching this bama game it is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery boring...7-0 and almost halftime
ReplyDeleteFranklin obviously was the epitome of offensive genius and decision making.
ReplyDeleteI don't exactly think Franklin was a bad coach. I think he was in the wrong environment. The styles of the offensive coaches was just too different from what he wanted to do.
ReplyDeleteIn a sense, I believe he was bad because I think he lacked the people skills to sell the coaches on what he wanted to do.
Looks like we'll be able to distribute the football to other folks this season, hopefully our new staff will make sure the ball gets to the playmakers.
ReplyDeleteWell Steve you are right up to a point, but the guy played favorites, didn't make friends, alienated just about everyone and appeared totally incompetent in front of the media. He was also a system guy and not a gameplanning/scheme guy. Those guys have no plan B.
ReplyDeleteI hope Jay is having fun
ReplyDelete
