Did you notice the 1st drop and the receiver said something and TT said 'coach, my a**'. I suspect the player tookthe hit and and said like come on coach.
TT seems to be after it in every drill, which I like.
Love the yellow shoes! Love TT and the big hits....NO DROPS! Love that the backs are LOOKING for the ball! Love that JayG is our man! Thanks Jay for all your hard work!!
greg knox must have been like my golf coach in high school. he sat in his truck reading the newspaper while we hacked up the public course with no instruction. it showed in our matches and it showed in AU's WRs the last few years. i don't care what the actual talent level is at WR, but i know they will play hard next year or they won't play at all.
Looks very exciting on the Plains these days. Happy to see some coaches that are taking pride in the product that they are going to put on the field this fall!
Also, as noted in above comments...thanks for the updates Jay!!!
Man I just knew we'd pick up another commit today. Well I guess not since it's kinda late in the day. Oh well...great job with the vids Jay! What would you say is the biggest difference between the old staff's coaching of the WRs and the new staff? Also who was that getting punished for running the wrong routes?
1. McCalebb "can fly." 2. QBs have a long way to go. 3. McNeil actually hit some people, including a teeth-rattler on Q. Carr. 4. One of hardest hits of the day was Trooper chest bumping Justin Albert. 5. Neiko looked good. 6. Rap and hip-hop filled the stadium during the pre-scrimmage warmup. Troop was bustin' a move. 7. OL looked pretty good. McCain stood out.
Agreed ehyou, and no ones sloppy joes are as good as my grandmas. I know your thinking a sloppy joe is a sloppy joe... but your wrong, they are amazing.
I wonder if DT Nick Fairley will be sent to the OL when he gets here in the Fall. That was the original position he was recruited to AU for back in 2007. Not that the DL is in great shape but someone usually steps up on that side of the ball. Everyone thought the sky was falling when Pat Sims left then Marks stepped up. I'm guessing the same will happen this year.
You gumpians have no idea how fortunate you are to have places like Peppertree there for you. Mrs. Gatiger is instructed to stop there on her regular trips to the gump. I miss that place. I miss that place badly.
I'll be lurking atchya during the week from the Pacific Northwest state of Washington. Too bad I'll spend the daylight hours in another Server room and unable to see anything nice.
I'm not a Braves fan ... became anti-Braves after all the bandwagon stuff in the 1990s. I've been an A's fan for the longest, but I do pull for the Rays since the Biscuits are in the Gump.
Fact is, I like baseball, but I don't love it. As for the NBA, it could fold tomorrow, and it wouldn't bother me.
I was done with MLB after the last strike, but the Biscuits and the Rays have sucked me back in a little. I'll also be following the Las Vegas 51's this year since I have a cousin who will be in the starting rotation there this year.
Minor league teams have goofy names. They had a contest to name the team. I suggested "Fire Ants," but Biscuits was the winner. I hated it until I saw the blue hat.
Got to www.biscuitsbaseball.com and check out the gear. The blue hat rules.
Big thanks again to all the Hotties who supported my efforts with Relay for Life. I hit my goal of $3500.00 tonight. With some more money that hasn't worked through the system yet, I'll be about $100 short of $4k. Thank you all...I'm humbled by the response. The cherry on top is that I'm back on top of the leader board ahead of a bammer chick.
two in a row
ReplyDeleteThe time you spend away from family and friends to bring us our news does not go un-noticed JGT. Thanks.
ReplyDelete"Don't wait on it, reach in baby." If TT is half as good a coach as he is entertaining, we're set.
ReplyDeleteI like watching that drill.
ReplyDeleteDid you notice the 1st drop and the receiver said something and TT said 'coach, my a**'. I suspect the player tookthe hit and and said like come on coach.
ReplyDeleteTT seems to be after it in every drill, which I like.
can Auburn not afford smaller letters for the back of his shirt?
ReplyDelete7---- or 11
ReplyDeleteJay G, as usual you da 'man!
ReplyDeleteLike Santa on Christmas the gift that keeps giving!
Trooper seems to really enforce that the receivers make no drops....I like that.
ReplyDelete1. Why does he wear yellow shoes?
ReplyDelete2. Love Trooper - REACH AND GET IT!
3. During the Thigpen piece is Jay saying something?
4. Boulware will not accept soft Wood!
5. Love the cam angle on the throws.
6. Jay, Is it a burden being so damn good at writing, photography and videography?
Ok...the speakers on my laptop kinda suck. Was it my imagination, or was CTT crying out bi%ch as he was whacking the receivers?
ReplyDeleteCause that would be really cool if he was.
MLB Opening Night or the NCAAW Final 4? That's the choice for tonight.
ReplyDeletejust finished breakfast for dinner. jgt AU vids for dessert! yum!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the spectacular practice updates, JGT.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, your work is exceptional. Don't think we take that for granted, either — 'cause we don't.
Love the yellow shoes!
ReplyDeleteLove TT and the big hits....NO DROPS!
Love that the backs are LOOKING for the ball!
Love that JayG is our man!
Thanks Jay for all your hard work!!

ReplyDeleteas of this comment: no vids up on rivals, scout or undercover or even mention of an AU practice. jgt does it for free here and is #1!
ReplyDeleteMonica, when describing JGT you left off ncaa basketball pick-em extraordinaire. Damn I wanted that t-shirt. 1st loser sucks.
ReplyDeletei think all the HOTTIES need to come up with a great gift for Jay G. to start the fall football season....
ReplyDeleteI vote him Reporter Extraordinary!!!!
maybe there is a prize for second place!
ReplyDeleteRight now Jay G. is somewhere dancing around and saying " Who's yo Daddy!!!"
ReplyDeleteTrooper is definitely attacking some of the WR problems.
ReplyDeleteWEG,
ReplyDeletea great man once said "No one remembers who came in second, so who cares"!
lots of weak hands in the receiver corps, it appears.
ReplyDelete44- In the words of Trooper, "NO WHINING!"
ReplyDeleteor as CTT would say "Coach my A$$!"
ReplyDeletejust thinking maybe JayG will have pity on you or NOT!
ReplyDeleteLooks very exciting on the Plains these days. Happy to see some coaches that are taking pride in the product that they are going to put on the field this fall!

Thanks for kickin' it around the HABOTN!
ReplyDeleteehyoutiger loves him some Braves. ehyoutiger very, very happy real baseball being played.
ReplyDeleteBraves win division this year. You heard it here first.
We do be kickin' it.
ReplyDeleteLove Jay's happy attitude since he is winning the bracket contest!
ReplyDeleteMan I just knew we'd pick up another commit today. Well I guess not since it's kinda late in the day. Oh well...great job with the vids Jay! ReplyDeleteSloppy Joes are one of God's gifts to man.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on practice video and bracket JGT. Thanks for all you do for the HABOTN.
ReplyDeletesounds like 44 is kissing up?!
ReplyDeleteFrom secret reporter at scrimmage:
ReplyDelete1. McCalebb "can fly."
2. QBs have a long way to go.
3. McNeil actually hit some people, including a teeth-rattler on Q. Carr.
4. One of hardest hits of the day was Trooper chest bumping Justin Albert.

Agreed ehyou, and no ones sloppy joes are as good as my grandmas. I know your thinking a sloppy joe is a sloppy joe... but your wrong, they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI meant to say HOTTITUDE!
ReplyDeleteehyou ... Sloppy Joes were tasty.
ReplyDeleteNow, they were not like the Peppertree filets last night, but they were tasty.
"bustin a move" huh?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if DT Nick Fairley will be sent to the OL when he gets here in the Fall. That was the original position he was recruited to AU for back in 2007. ReplyDeleteDid everyone see that Coach Pawlowski's daughter went home from the hospital?
ReplyDeleteWar Eagle Girl, is it that obvious.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will get me anywhere, do you.
Gatiger,
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to the check out with my filets and a small carton of pimiento cheese, the guy in front of me had a slab of ribs that smelled heavenly.
The filets were actually on sale, so I thought I didn't get gouged.
44...yes it is....but that's okay...I'd be whining too but I have a t-shirt!
ReplyDeleteGouged or not, that place is worth absolutely every penny.
ReplyDeleteI roll by Peppertree daily and never once do I wonder what could be if I spent the compulsory $50 in there.
ReplyDeleteJay G,
ReplyDeleteThat's because you spend money on Rock Band, Frogger and Ms. PacMan.
jay, I've never been either but thought about...does that count?
ReplyDeletemaybe jet will treat us to dinner sometime?!
ReplyDeleteFamily game time would be so much more enjoyable after a fine home cooked meal. The staple of which is some fine steaks from Peppertree.
ReplyDeleteKathy really should be paying me...
G'night Hotties.
ReplyDeleteI'll be lurking atchya during the week from the Pacific Northwest state of Washington. Too bad I'll spend the daylight hours in another Server room and unable to see anything nice.
Peace out.
have a good week gatiger!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, GaTiger.
ReplyDeleteI've got something to email you ... but I will be Monday or Tuesday before I can access it.
What up ladies and gents?
ReplyDeleteBammer.
ReplyDeleteI'm craving oysters.
ReplyDeleteExcellent call, J-Z
ReplyDeletea Braves opening day victory coupled with fantastic HABOTN victory. what a sweet way to end the weekend. props homey.
ReplyDeleteJet, Is the appendage a furrener?
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Braves fan ... became anti-Braves after all the bandwagon stuff in the 1990s. I've been an A's fan for the longest, but I do pull for the Rays since the Biscuits are in the Gump.
ReplyDeleteFact is, I like baseball, but I don't love it. As for the NBA, it could fold tomorrow, and it wouldn't bother me.
College hoops I love.
The appendage is Prattvegan "Bammer."
ReplyDeleteI was done with MLB after the last strike, but the Biscuits and the Rays have sucked me back in a little. I'll also be following the Las Vegas 51's this year since I have a cousin who will be in the starting rotation there this year.
ReplyDeleteWhat is a Biscuit?
ReplyDeleteIt is baked dough, often stuffed with cheese, butter, or Coneuch sausage.
ReplyDeleteI want one.
ReplyDeleteMonica ...
ReplyDeleteThe Biscuits are the Gump's minor league baseball team. If you are in the River Region this summer, you need to check them out. Great ball park.
Great hoops quote from Jay Bilas ... just said this on SportsCenter.
ReplyDelete"A bad shot is the first pass on your opponent's fast break."
I hope I get see a game. I totally don't get why anyone would name their team the Biscuits.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd put oysters on top of fried green tomatoes and Mexican.
ReplyDeleteJet:
ReplyDeleteI think that Bilas is the best basketball commentator around..
Wish CBS could use him for the final four.
Minor league teams have goofy names. They had a contest to name the team. I suggested "Fire Ants," but Biscuits was the winner. I hated it until I saw the blue hat.
ReplyDeleteGot to www.biscuitsbaseball.com and check out the gear. The blue hat rules.
My dream Final Four announcing team would be Verne, Raft and Bilas.
ReplyDeleteBig thanks again to all the Hotties who supported my efforts with Relay for Life. I hit my goal of $3500.00 tonight. With some more money that hasn't worked through the system yet, I'll be about $100 short of $4k. Thank you all...I'm humbled by the response. The cherry on top is that I'm back on top of the leader board ahead of a bammer chick.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, JZ. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteHow anyone can enjoy Raftery is beyond me. He is a human gimmick.
ReplyDeleteLundquist and Bilas now, they're genuinely good.
ReplyDeleteColorful without being a coach pimp ... analyzes, but not as much as Bilas, who is the best.
ReplyDeleteI love Bobby Knight in the studio, and I can't stand him personally.
I have a new thread up.
ReplyDelete
