Phillips says he's headed to Auburn

That was quick.

Mississippi OL Aubrey Phillips, who spurned Auburn for Florida State on signing day, has reversed course and expects to play for the Tigers this fall. We know this because our friends at AuburnSports.com, AuburnUndercover.com and ITAT tell us it is so.

Phillips' 2009 availability is in question. Though he has been released from his Letter of Intent with FSU, Phillips will need a waiver from the NCAA to compete this season. I'm not sure that'll matter. It's rare that a freshman can playing a meaningful role along any offensive line -- much less in the Southeastern Conference.

Of note is what Phillips said about his reasons for leaving FSU.

Here's what he told AuburnSports.com:
  • Phillips said he arrived at FSU weighing 340 pounds.

  • He participated in summer workouts and claims to have lost 15 pounds.

  • He said his position coach, former Auburn assistant Rick Trickett, initially was supportive of Phillips' work. At some point, though, Trickett's opinion changed and he became dissatisfied with Phillips' work.

  • ``(Trickett) told me I couldn't sit by the linemen at lunch. He told me I couldn't talk to them or be around them. He told me I wasn't a lineman anymore and the only reason I was part of the team was because of the Letter of Intent."

  • Phillips believes FSU's recent troubles with the NCAA, which resulted in the program drawing probation, will help him earn an eligibility waiver.

``If I had known about that probation earlier, I would have never signed with Florida State," Phillips told AuburnSports.com. "I wish I could go back to Signing Day and sign with Auburn the way it should have been."

  2. He won't start and likely will be redshirted, but it is nice to have another backup available. We should be okay on the OL if we don't have an inordinate number of injuries, but I like having another option.

  8. I just read where Phillips is a straight A student. Welcome to Auburn, Mr. Phillips.

  12. that twitter from Mullen is pretty funny JG.

I'm with Michael on the argument from the previous page. I'm not totally convinced that Mucho-Macho was a Bammer and there's no need to slam him until you know.

I do know that if you had arrogantly told Hoopie to go back to Tidesports....his response would have been much stronger than MM's.

Phred...that's good wisdom for single guys. I've been married for 26 years and hopefully will never need to employ such.

  18. Straight A student. I'm happy AUBrey has decided to leave F$Who for the Plains. Although, he may have just lost out on some free kicks.

  19. Michael Dyer....
Just heard interview. He stated "Petrino" hasn't talked to me, until he does Arkansas not really up there. He called "Coach Malzahn" a really good coach and likes talking with him.
So he is calling out the HC of the Razorbacks.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I expect Mullen to have limited success at MSU, very similar to what Sherrill did.

    ReplyDelete
  21. For the record, I didn't think Macho Grande was being bammy or anything.

He says (approximately) the same things as depressedAUfan. Y'all don't crawl all over depressed.

    I hope Macho comes back.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Jay, I have seen comments from Macho before, always negative or hyping a Bama player. His behaviour has been questionable. By the way, I do bash depressed for his nick:)

    ReplyDelete
  23. So, on to more optimistic thinking. Who thinks Todd can beat out Tebow for the Heisman? Come on!!! Everyone don't speak up at once. Who's with me?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I saw that Mullen also tweeted about "Going to read to kids at starkville library."

Nice try, but who's he kidding? There are no books in the entire state.

  25. Comm'r is back!

    Must be football season.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Steve, I am torn between your man, Todd, and Eddies' choice, Rollison. I may have to flip a coin:)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Rollison is going to be interesting. This is Todd's last go round. My guess is that Rollison will be groomed to be the starter next season, but don't forget Mosley. I hope to see Rollison get some playing time this season.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh great.

I'd not mind grande coming back, as long as he doesn't post links to pics of trent richardson with comments like 'woo he looks so ripped and stud and juicy..' etc.

It wasn't just bammerific, if I shared preferences with him I'd have sued him for false advertising.

  33. Steve, I don't know if Todd will beat out Tebow for the Heisman but he has a good a shot at winning the AU qb job.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yea, I am not really expecting Todd to be an all american, but more like an average SEC QB. I am hoping Tate becomes the go to guy on offense. I think he can be one of the top 2 or 3 rushers in the SEC and Eric Smith will be solid as a backup. Tate should earn a cool new nickname this season and will likely be a second or third round NFL draft pick. I am gonna have to work on the nick.

    Ben "devas" Tate
    Ben "dover" Tate
Ben "late to be great" Tate
Ben "I am fast, really" Tate
    Ben "not JG" Tate

    ReplyDelete
  35. PMarsh made some comments about Terry Bowden recently that I agree with. The biggest problem I have with the guy is that he abandoned his team during a season. Real men don't do that, even if they know they are history at the end of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I disagree, Steve, but that's OK.

Bowden took a stand in his own way against the b.s. that had consumed the program at that point. I honestly believe that implosion, along with Jetgate, forever changed the way some important things happen at Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  37. How bout
Ben "kaopec" Tate administered orally to runny defenses.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The biggest problem I have with Terry Bowden is...

The elimination of the running game.

    Sabatoging Stephen Davis' last year.

    Losing 51-10 to Florida.

Recruiting skill position players who were his height.

Not knowing players names on his own team.

    No disclipline or leadership.

The 8-4 1995 & 1996 seasons as we moved our offense into FSU North.

The 3-8 1998 season where we had the worst offense this side of 2008 Auburn.

Cutting ties with players from the past.

The orange shadow on the numbers.

That's just off the top of my head.

That's the biggest problem I had.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Jay, what Bowden did, in effect, punished the players. It is the same reason I dislike Coach Fran who convinced players to come to Alabama while they were about to be placed on probation and then jumped ship in a move that was, at best, lateral. Sure he flushed his career doing it, but there are proper ways to handle things. I certainly don't have the first hand knowledge that you do with Bowden, but I think he should have toughed out the remainder of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  40. BinOBA,
When you get a chance can you take a look at the email I sent you? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yes, Bowden did a poor job or recruiting, wasted talented tailbacks, and made out uniforms look bad, but those things I can excuse. I can't excuse abandoning players.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Who was our 170# or so running back then? I can remember that making me seriously ill, along with squandering SD's last year on the plains.

    ReplyDelete
  43. We had more than one 170 pound RB, but here is a list of a few duds we had.

    Markeith Cooper
    Cencade Pennington
    Demontray Carter
    Rusty Williams

    ReplyDelete
  44. we didn't have Carter very long. He transferred to Troy so he could run for a zillion yards.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh, yes, demontray was who i meant but i'd forgotten "the lizard".

Cincy, the info you requested has been sent.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I liked #3. I wonder what he's up to these days.

    ReplyDelete
  47. We had two seasons under Bowden and the 1st under Tub where we averaged less than 100 yards rushing per game.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thanks BinOBA! Can't wait for the BEACH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Demontray Carter had about 1600 yards total in 2 years at Troy, or roughly what Rudi Johnson had in 2000 alone, our 1st year without Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  50. no problem, lemme know if you want reccomendations on anything else.

  52. Anonymous6:16 PM

Steve..yes TB did abandon hs players. He also was dealing with a disinformation campaign from our PTB. This was a pre-jetgate, full-strength dis-information campaign with hardly a worry for being clandestine. Blame the PTB for bringing this on the players also.

Post-jetate/SACS the PTB has less power, but is much more clandestine and still effective. I guess the good news is that everyone is on the same page for now.

    ReplyDelete
  53. so jhag leaves for Las Vegas in the morning

    ReplyDelete
  54. I always found it telling that Bowden has not sniffed of a major BCS job since leaving Auburn. The announcers who always talk about how wrong Auburn did him, and what a good record he had never seem to discuss why another major conference school didn't hire him. He practically begged for the West Virginia job a few years back.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It says a lot about Bowden that in the first 10 years after leaving here he didn't get a sniff at a major job as a HC or even an assistant.

That being said, had Ed Scissum not fumbled the ball to set up the Jaret Holmes FG in the 1997 Iron Bowl, Bowden would have been fired after that game.

The PTB wanted Bowden out as early as the end of the 1995 season when our D couldn't stop anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  56. There is a difference between wanting a coach gone and what I feel about Bowden. Personally, I liked Doug Barfield. He was a good Auburn man, but wasn't a coach that was going to get us past being a middle of the road SEC team. I still like him, but was glad he was replaced. With Bowden, he left in shame. There is blame to go around and the PTB can be blamed for the wonderful performance of our football team the last couple of years, but I don't feel the anger towards any other past coaches that I feel towards Bowden. As for Shug, we could have lost every game and I would have wanted him back.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Anonymous7:18 PM

Bowden's troubles w/the PTB started when he wouldn't give schollys to 2 fat boys from Montgomery private schools that certain people felt should have such.

    ReplyDelete
  58. What did them being fat have to do with that? Were they linemen or something?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Like it or not, the ptb knew bowden was over his head. he was driving the program in the ground. his private behavior was a problem. not a big fan of our big boosters, but they are well aware when its time for a coach to go. that goes for dye after we got on probation, bowden, and tubby. you can talk about them undermining the coach, but if the coach quits recruiting, as bowden did, and tubby in the last two years, its a sure sign the program will soon be on the way down as well.

    ReplyDelete
  60. RK...

I agree 100%. Bowden was toast until Bruce Arians called the infamous screen..I've never understood why he called that play. Shaun Alexander was gutting Auburn's defense in that fourth quarter. Give him the ball and at worst punt Auburn deep with less than a minute left...(the previous punt went out of bounds inside the 10). Ironically Arians has two Superbowl rings now from his stint with the Steelers.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Steve,

The problem with today's game is that a good coach and good man like Shug would never have lasted as long as he did in today's game. His record against Bryant would have gotten him run pretty quick.

    It's a shame really.

    ReplyDelete
  62. hey fsj. you still feeling good about our bet? for the record, i still think bowden was one heck of an on the field coach. he let recruiting go, players were out of control, no relationship w/ hs coaches, etc. he was there one year too many.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sponge...feel very good.

I agree about Bowden's coaching ability. Very good on the field coach. Unfortunately, there are other parts to the job...Recruiting, off the field behavior and so on.

    ReplyDelete
  64. fsj. you are right about shug. however, under todays scholly limits, that would have helped shug tremendously against the bear. I think the record would have improved dramatically. just sayin

    ReplyDelete
  65. fsj. the only thing thats going to save you on our bet is the time limit. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  66. steve. do you remember takeo spikes leaving one year early. he said on an interview that it was obvious to him that the talent level was dropping fast and that was one of the reasons he left. very telling on bowden.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Thats the thing I don't understand. People say that Bryant could sign 150 players.....as if nobody else could.

Shug could sign just as many.....Coach Jordan would have still been facing the same issues for top notch talent.

I think the record would have been about the same.

    ReplyDelete
  68. fsj. not taking away from bears coaching. the in state school almost always has the advantage. au needed just a few more difference makers. the scholly limits would have given them just that. bama recruited better, even though au had basically that same opportunity. scholly limits would have evened that up.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Please let this happen....

    Notre Dame/Bama

    ReplyDelete
  70. Jay G. just a comment about the b.s. from our money guys. i agree, but that usually shows up when the coach starts to screw up . maybe a little early in tubbys case with jet gate. that one i am clearly on tubbys side, but with bowden, it was all on him.

i,m gone. gotta pick up my boys.

    ReplyDelete

  75. It's good to be back. I took my older boys to the Atlanta Auburn Club kickoff party last Thursday and it got me ALL FIRRRRD UP for football. 80. It's interesting to hear about the beef between Trickett (Chevrolet Dealer?) and Phillips. I'm sure there's another side but it seems all too familiar.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Shug got hurt by a scandal in the early 70s. He threw two black players off the team because they didn't meet his dress code, which I think was clean shaven and short hair. The media portrayed it as Shug being racist. Ironically, Auburn was the first major college in Bama to have a black player on the roster. Shug just had his rules and any player that didn't follow them was gone.

As for the scholarship limit and various other things, Bryant was very good at using the rules. Tear away jersey's was one example. Another was the number of SEC games. Bryant would have Bama play one more e SEC game than the other SEC teams so that if he lost one game and another team lost one, by the rules, Bama was the SEC champ. I am by no means criticizing Bryant for this. He didn't break the rules. He just took advantage of them.

    ReplyDelete
  82. By the way. I noticed that South Carolina has commitments from a crap load of offensive linemen. We need to see something similar at Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Steve, I don't think it's because we're not trying...I think you'll see at least 4 more in this class.

    ReplyDelete
  84. A little more Bear trivia. What is the most points scored against a Bryant coached team and what team scored them?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Steve, some of the stories I've heard about Trickett while coaching at Auburn were amazing. I hope Eddie will be willing to share some with us when he returns.

    ReplyDelete
  86. After the Chaz Ramsey thing, I am not that happy with Hugh Nall either. By the way, we should never sign a player named Ramsey again. It just doesn't work out well.

  87. sean, I can't hear idiot without thinking of the best Pink Floyd song ever...

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd...smiling

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hey All. I see my old coach has made some headlines at Auburn again. Go figure :)!!!!!!!! I'm working in WV and apparently Monica's house is the only play with high speed interent in the state! Just kidding. As far as Trickett stories, i've got tons of them. Am I surprised about him getting on Phillips weight, nope, he did the same thing to Marcus Autry. Making the lineman not sit with him...where have I heard something like this before???? Oh, Nall. I never saw Trickett do anything like that while I was here, but who knows, maybe he gets tougher with age. The one thing about Trickett that you must understand is that he has a lot of players that would take a bullet for him and some that absolutely hate him. He is an old school coach in a place where old school coaching values are just about dead. Today's players love to be caudled and told how great they are. Hell, recruiting services have only magnified their egos. I'm glad that Phillips came to Auburn and I hope that he does well, lets face it, we need him to. I like Trickett, but I do believe he needs different motivational strategies. Anyways, glad to be back online for a few minutes

    ReplyDelete
  95. rk, i guess I'm a mellow guy 'cause it's very near the top of my favorite songs...ever.

    A cool thing to do:
Start Echoes (last song on Meddle album) at exactly the same time as "Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite" (from 2001:A Space Odyssey). The two will sync uncannily.

Sorry for the tough work assignment. Thanks for the insight.

  109. Jay with the Arsenal shout out!! I concur, Jay, I love me some Arsenal. Now if they'd only win something...

    ReplyDelete
  110. Anyone else catch the Braves last night, that Hanson kid is the real deal.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Sean,
I watched them. I was so afraid Gonzalez was going to mess it up when he came in and walked the first guy. I think it was the first anyway. But, he ended up doing okay. I love watching Hanson pitch. At least he got some run support this time. Church did a pretty good job also.

    ReplyDelete
  112. first off, happy MARK DORMINEY day. he was great paired along with Bob Harris. WDE!

yup, Hanson was great after he settled down. 11 STRIKEOUTS!!!! most impressive for the Rookie. what, the Braves have won 4 of their last 5 games????!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. If Tommy Hanson can keep from walking too many, he's going to be a really good player. His problem right now is that he gives up too many walks.

The way the Braves starters have been pitching, who comes out of the rotation when Hudson comes back in a couple of weeks?

    ReplyDelete
  114. The Braves have won 8 of their last 11 and are 4-1 since the All Star break.

The good sign is their bats seem to be working now that Francoeur is out of town and Kelly Johnson is out of the lineup.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Hmmm it has to be Kawakami...he's been good lately, but the other guys are just better.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Either that or they trade Vazquez.

    ReplyDelete
  117. i'd say Kawakami gets the boot too.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I just wish the Phillies would start losing again.

    ReplyDelete
  119. it's nice to still be interested in baseball again after the All-Star break. it feels like it has been a while.

    ReplyDelete
  120. If they are wanting to compete for a playoff spot, I wouldn't trade any of the starters just in case Hudson's arm isn't ready.

Without the two easy strikeouts in the line up, the bats are coming around, but I do think they need a big run producer batting behind Chipper.

    ReplyDelete
  121. The Phillies are more than likely going to win that division, especially if they trade for Roy Halliday.

However, the wildcard isn't out of reach.

    ReplyDelete
  122. RK, what do you think of Esco batting Clean Up and moving McCann and Anderson down a spot, respectively?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Peter Gammons went out and said yesterday he didn't think the Blue Jays would end up trading Halladay. FWIW.

    ReplyDelete
  124. When I think of #46, I think of Jerald Watson. The RB who had about 5 carries in 2004 then transfered. I thought he was going to be a good RB for us.

    ReplyDelete
  125. They're in contention, why would they trade him? Besides the Phils are winning without him, I doubt you'll see them overpay for Halliday.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Anonymous8:33 AM

Cincy, beautiful dogs! They look like they're posing for the camera!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Sean,

    First off, you're an idiot.

Thirdly, my only problem with Escobar is that he doesn't hustle all the time. He's not Manny Ramirez, but he does take plays and at bats off. So until he gets out of that phase, he'll probably stay in the lower half of the order.

If he becomes a more focused player, maybe, but he's still not your stereotypical cleanup guy either. I don't think they really have a guy who fits in between Chipper and McCann in the line up.

    ReplyDelete
  128. That being said, other than McLouth, I don't think there is a guy in the everyday lineup batting less than .285.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Morning Hotties - we're one day closer to the weekend, and more importantly we're one day closer to football (not soccer, I don't give a rip about soccer personally).

    ReplyDelete
  130. Wow,

He looks like that big fat kid on Police Academy(fill in the number) the one who was in the back of the police van, when Tackleberry bust out of the body bag with a chainsaw and Bubba Smith was dressed as a Jamaican, BTW, David Spade was a skate boarder in the that one. Just saying...

  131. I don't care if Sean is an idiot, or an imbecile, or just a moron...as long as he keeps the Diet Coke factory running.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I always have an "all's right with the world" feeling with a thread that has DL at the top.

    ReplyDelete
  133. 'Scuse me THT, but all is right with the world when there is a women at the top, too. Of the blog that is.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Luv,
They were posing. These are my granddogs, Nick and Zeke. I cut my kids out of the picture!

    ReplyDelete
  135. And that should be woman, not women :)

    ReplyDelete
  136. who has a problem with a woman posing? not me.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I suppose it is too late to ask, but are there any HABOTN t-shirts to be had?

    ReplyDelete
  138. oops, i read that wrong. ha. sorry Sean, I AM THE IDIOT.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Cincy, i do believe there are a few Large tees available but that's it. i've got 'em.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Great Scottie B,
How do I go about getting one? Do you do paypal? I can hopefully shrink it a little.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Cincy, i just sent you an email.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Hanson, Baseball, Soccer? What has the world coming to. Next thing you know we will all be setting around singing umbop.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Hanson is dirty. I pronounce it dee-UR-tay; it's pretty cool.

    ReplyDelete
  144. RK, you had a firstly, then a thirdly but not a secondly...

It doesn't really matter where Esco bats, he gets RBIs. They really could use a true 4 hitter and definitely a RHB.

    ReplyDelete
  145. And THT, you'll be happy to know the trucks are still bringing the DC to your local retailer. :)

    ReplyDelete
  146. Sean,
Are you responsible for Diet Coke with Lime? I love lime!

    ReplyDelete
  147. Guess no one else likes DCL

    ReplyDelete
  148. i don't like the Diet Coke aftertaste. sorry. i can handle Diet Pepsi, though. i know, i know....

    ReplyDelete
  149. That's why I love the lime. That is the only diet drink I can handle. But, Diet Pepsi, c'mon.

My daughter went to the 2006 Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa. She said she knew it was an evil place when she found out they served Pepsi products!

    ReplyDelete
  150. DMD is the way to go.

    ReplyDelete
  151. It appears that DJ Howard earned a status boost from ITAT/Scout.com yesterday.

At the time of commitment, he was a one-star prospect. At some point during the day Monday, he became a three-star prospect.

I have added that update to Howard's page.

    ReplyDelete
  152. A few things...

DMD and DP are inferior products.

BDS, as of 2008, is a Coke-only venue.

The vending at UA is now under contract with Pepsi.

Auburn is a 100% Coke account. (Woot!)

Diet Coke Lime is better, but Coke Zero is the best Diet Coke we make.

    ReplyDelete
  153. what is currently the greater detriment to rural America: crack or mountain dew?

    ReplyDelete
  154. check that. meth or mountain dew?

    ReplyDelete
  155. And I, unfortunately, did not invent Diet Coke with Lime.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I'm not much of an alcohol drinker, but I do love me some Diet Coke with Lime. Have to use it as a special treat or I will become an abuser.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Cincy, i worked at a Pepsi bottling plant in Lexington, KY during grad school. that's where that comes from. i would rather drink Pibb Xtra anyways if we're talking sodas.

    ReplyDelete
  158. No caffeine for me, thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Pibb Xtra is good stuff also.

    ReplyDelete
  160. my daily pot of coffee is almost as important as breathing. yes, i am scottie b and i am a coffee-aholic.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I'm right there with ya Scottie.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Jay,
When do we get the article on Coach Chizik and Jonna?

    ReplyDelete
  163. I'm also an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  164. JG, is anyone writing an article about Ed Dyas this week? he is being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Cincy, I think that runs in mid August. It's part of a magazine we're producing.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Dr Pepper with a shot of vanilla (at classy establishments such as waffle house) is an absolute delight. You must all try this and get back to me, I have been doing it for years and look where I am now!

    ReplyDelete
  167. I gotta pick and choose. I'm going with Media Days.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Dr. Pepper is good...I like anything with the real syrup in it. Manufactured flavors just don't taste right. I think there was a cherry vanilla DP that tasted like garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Guess I have put off doing work long enough - off the edge the estate and weed flower beds.

    ReplyDelete
  170. no biggie. i was just wondering. Dyas was a stud in his day. i am sure THT will enlighten us on Dr. Dyas's great accomplishments in a couple weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  171. "RK, you had a firstly, then a thirdly but not a secondly..."

    I know. That's how I roll.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I had a good experience at Ed Dyas Nissan in 1998, too.

    Still have the car.

    ReplyDelete
  173. RK,
That reminds me of my hubby. He always says there are 2 things, one and B.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I give Mtn Dew a slight lean as it effects more of the population and especially the youth. Thanks for playing.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Jay, will you have some more player profiles after Media Days are finished? Not trying to complain, those are probably my favorite feature you have done. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  176. my wife is a social worker and a couple weeks back in a training session they had to watch a video on folks who give their babies/kids Mountain Dew. parents are putting MD in bottles for their babies and all the sugar is rotting out the kids' teeth. she was in tears is was so sad. so by the time these kids are in the 3rd or 4th grade they don't have teeth. it's insane.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Anonymous10:14 AM

Giving Mt.Dew to a baby is just pure d IGNORANT.

    ReplyDelete
  178. I know I'm supposed to be doing yard work...

This is probably old news to everyone, but have you read where kids think they can't get pregnant or get someone pregnant if they drink MD? I guess this is a stupid question, but how can they think a soft drink is birth control?

    ReplyDelete
  179. I think kids drinking too many soft drinks is a big part of the obesity problem with the kids these days. I know it was for my younger brother in law.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Coffee, Diet Dr Pepper are the drinks of choice.

I shall not enter the Bowden-Tuberville discussion.

I am the Idiot. Just ask Mrs. jet.

    They're playing baseball this year?

Hate UAT. It's What's for Dinner.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Redneck babies all jacked up on Mountain Dew.

Sounds like an alternative band name.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Do you folks know that Mtn. Dew makes the meth go down easier?

I endorse Benedryl in a Bottle. It shuts the little nippers up.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Cincy,

If the kids drink enough of it to be obese, it might indirectly work as birth control.

    ReplyDelete
  184. yeah, these are extremely uneducated people doing this MD stuff. the thing my wife watched focused on people up here in the backwoods of TN and KY. i was thinking it would be in Tuscaloosa, but it was not the case.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Alright folks, I have to take a field trip over to another office...play nice!

    ReplyDelete
  186. Jet,
I never gave my kids Benadryl in a bottle (tempted, but never did) but I understand that much more than hyping them up on MD. I always wanted mine to be calm, not jazzed on sugar.

    ReplyDelete
  187. RK,
    That could work :)

    ReplyDelete
  188. Sean,

Do you stop being an idiot when you go across to the other office?

    ReplyDelete
  189. Anyone that doesn't like DMD is just stupid. Give me the caffeine!!!

    ReplyDelete
  190. I'm goin' for it.

    ReplyDelete
  191. It's been too long for me. New page smell.
