Hey everyone. Another late night for the Tates in Cincinnati. I won't go into details. Maintaining marital bliss is a high priority.
I saw where Charles Goldberg, in his fine Gold Mine blog, notes that De'Shaun Barnes and Andre Wadley are no longer on the team. This allegedly is the result of career-ending physical issues.
We all know Wadley had a tough go of it last fall.
I'd like to have a conversation with Barnes someday about this hip injury of his.
Today's topic: Who will be the first current assistant to flee for a better gig?
Wassup peeps?
ReplyDeletechizik?
ReplyDeleteSounds like Luper is the one that wants to move up the quickest. Malzahn could be the one, but if the offense doesn't improve dramatically, his rising stock will slow until he can get it turned around.
ReplyDeleteAs to the question...
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid there are no better gigs. The asst's have reached the pinnacle of the college football world.
What are you recruiting guys hearing about the big weekend. Mornng show in Montgomery is talking about it but I am in and out of the car and can't catch all of it.
ReplyDeletemalzhan
ReplyDeleteWTC ...
ReplyDeleteRumors of "Stars and Stripes Weekend" abound ... with a July surprise.
Some of the chatter I've heard is so over the top that I won't even post.
I can't wait ... to secondarily violate!
Our Hottie friend, Digger, is having a tough go as his wife's health took a turn for the worse. She's had lots of complications and just had to have surgery. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, Monica.
ReplyDeleteafter Malzahn puts up massive numbers in 2010 he's gone. i would stay Trooper is chompin' at the bit to be a HC. that's my 1 & 2.
ReplyDeleteprayers sent to Digger's wife.
and yes, i said 'massive numbers'. there's your sunshine pump for the day. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling we could lose Malzahn, Taylor and Luper at the same time. Maybe we can squeeze a championship or two out of them before they leave.
ReplyDeleteBig recruiting weekend, I am headed to PC Beach, for the 4th, I heard Chizik and Trooper are taking the recruits down there to Club Lavela for keg stands and a dance off.
ReplyDeleteWadley I figured as much, since the doctors had not cleared him as of yet. Barnes, all I remember was last year he showed up and they said he was extremely out of shape for college football. If you look at his pictures on scout.com he looks like the 3rd string tuba player. Well attrition of that class has come fast and swift.
ReplyDeletei wouldn't mind having a few Sam Adams' with Chiz around a campfire. not sure if LaVela is his scene, though.
ReplyDeletehaha, true, Chiz, has that Jess the body Ventura chin, I picture his riding a helicopter into the jungle like in Predator.
ReplyDeletePDWT bring lots of sun screen. I've been in PC all week and it is hot and sunny! We are heading to Shell Island in a couple of hours. Be safe. I noticed more people started arriving yesterday.
ReplyDeleteKathy,
ReplyDeletethanks the wife and I are driving from Mobile, so it will be a long ride today at lunch. The traffic on I-10 gets so backed up here. But yea, I wear NASA spf 1,000, I get lit up.
First assistant to leave for another gig?
ReplyDeleteGus Malshan inside of two years.
I refuse to think about assts leaving....i'm just not ready for that.
ReplyDeleteI've seen this Stars and Stripes stuff...all over the Bama message boards.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like something they made up.
My cautious optimism is that they coaching group has come to a decision that they won't start looking for new opportunities until they have placed 1st in the west 4 times, at least 1 SEC conference championship, and a national championship. I'm sure they all want to create the dynasty in the south that SC has out west, so no one is leaving until that has been done.
ReplyDeleteYeah cautious optimism at its finest, right?
Amen Hoopie. For Pete's sake! Can we snap one ball before we decide who's leaving first?
ReplyDeleteit's all JGT's fault Mon. he posed the question. it must've been a good late nite with Wifey. :) much love JG. much love.
ReplyDeleteJay, you sound suspicious of the Barnes "injury."
ReplyDeleteDo any of you think a current assistant could be promoted to the OC position when Malzahn leaves? That could change the thinking on who might leave for a better job elsewhere vs being promoted to a better job within the AU program. That being said, I'll say Coach Luper.
Did you have a good birthday, MyTommy?
ReplyDeleteWas yesterday your birthday TommyD? Yours is close to mine. Hope you had a great one.
ReplyDeleteNo coaches will leave for a better gig.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Malzahn, as OC, will be the first to leave, grabbing a HC position somewhere. I suppose Troop or Lupe could grab a small college HC position or a large college OC position soon. Any of these scenarios depend on AU having suucess on the offensive side of the ball.
AUBigCat - keep the CFL updates coming. THANKS!!! BTW, if Casey hadn't been a "Jay", K-Mack would have been my choice. But feel free to go ahead and declare your own K-Mack Day!
WAR EAGLE!!!
Luper being the first to leave, that is.
ReplyDeleteLuv - I'll definitely be thinking about y'all and hoping for a speedy recovery for your tough little pup.
ReplyDeleteNow that I've thrown my 2 cents out there, I must agree with Monica. Let's let these guys actually coach at Auburn first! Pete deserves no less.
ReplyDeleteMon...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on Digger. He is on the prayer-list.
Luv...
Dogs are tough critters. I'm sure yours will be fine.
AU specail teams have a great year and Bouleware goes to NFL.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see a post about Luv's puppy. What's going on?
ReplyDeleteYes, yesterday I turned 44. We celebrated by driving the PCH last week, and I'm still kinda recovering. Monica we had breakfast at the Del (thanks for calling that one). Brother Jet we didn't make it to DiMedici's so I guess we'll just have to make it out there again... Darn.
ReplyDeleteHe was attacked, check her earlier post on previous thread.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteniiiiiice...breakfast at the Del
ReplyDeletegood call
Malzahn will be leaving near the end of this season to become the OC at Arkansas. I really don't want to mention any names, but a former Auburn head coach will take over the Arkansas program at the end of the season and may already have been hired. Petrino will be out after suffering a humiliating loss to Mississippi and the Nutt. It isn't all bad news for Petrino though. He will be hired by Michigan to replace Rich Rodriquez, who in an amazing switch decides to take the Alabam HC position, which will be vacated when Saban heads to Notre Dame.
ReplyDeletePoor Luv and Geno. :-(
ReplyDeleteWow, that's quite a string of dominoes you've got set up there Steve.
ReplyDeleteYea, never underestimate the value of unsubstantiated rumors. It could all fall apart though if Meyer takes the Notre Dame gig, but I hear he is holding out for the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
ReplyDeleteSteve, This is what happens you don't follow firework safety.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, well, I am looking forward to the drama of the SEC.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, afternoon, evening etc (pick one according to your location).
ReplyDeleteSeconding TommyD, I believe they intend to stay and create a dynasty:
1. They are getting paid more than they would at some bottom feeder's HC position.
2. The assistants are getting a lot of exposure, limelight and rockstar status. I don't know of any other place where assistants get the kind of status. They would not get this much attention even as HCs at many smaller schools.
3. Most of them are 'driven'. A guy with that kind of drive would seek to achieve something big at every position.
4. Its too early to speculate, either way, if they are going to stay or leave. So feel free to disregard the abovementioned.
Sincerely,
Aero/-
Also, sending out good thoughts and wishes to Digger's wife and their family, and also to Luv.
ReplyDeleteHang in there everyone
I would be very surprised if this coaching staff stayed together for four seasons. I am hoping that the Chiz discussed this with them before hiring them. If Auburn has the same OC for more than two seasons in a row, I may faint and die.
ReplyDeleteI just hope whatever made this group leave their previous gigs for lil ole Auburn, is what holds them here for a few years. I also hope they all have a "you can't leave or else" clause in their contracts just in case. And yes I'm taking it for granted that they will not be bad coaches and that we'd want them to find another place to go. There just seems to be too many positives from the whole staff.
ReplyDeleteThe response to the pre-season hype that Ole Miss is getting is fun. The most entertaining is how upset bama fan seems to be.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't we wait and see if they actually win games before we start begging them to stay forever?
ReplyDeleteLet's make it a combo Jay Casey-Kendall Mack day. I just think Kendall Mack is a great name for a football player (and I remember watching him play)
ReplyDeletePrayers and wishes go to diggers'. They've been through a lot.
ReplyDeleteI'm sticking my hand in the optimistic sand and saying they are all going to be great and they are all staying at Auburn til they retire - I hate change. Unless it's a new pair of shoes.
ReplyDeletei'm listening this morning Mon. upset Bama fan was funny about Ole Miss. i don't buy it either.
ReplyDeleteBut Monica, it's hard to think with this group that they won't be able to achieve, right? I think where we need to be careful is setting expectations for it all to happen this season
ReplyDeleteMonica,
ReplyDeleteI thought Digger's wife had been improving and was doing much better? Definitely in my prayers.
Now I know why DL did post first...he's busy firing missiles today.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I can't wait to go back to Chicago and check out the New View
*did not
ReplyDeletethose balconies are nuts THT. you ain't gonna find my east TN behind on 'em!
ReplyDeleteSomeone who knows something give it up about what you have heard concerning the big recruiting weekend. Inquiring minds want to know!
ReplyDeleteSears Tower going to be changed to Willis Tower? Whatchyoutalkinbout? Sorry had to. Might take some coaxing to get on that balcony, too.
ReplyDeletejumping out of a healthy airplane, not that would be nuts. Standing on a floor that supports 10,000 pounds isn't a big deal, but the view certainly is.
ReplyDeleteScottie, I'm with you. I don't think I am brave enough to step out on those. I'm not really afraid of heights, but I don't really like them either.
ReplyDeleteCincy - Digger's wife had been improving and then had a sudden turn for the worse. Poor Digger is worn out.
ReplyDeleteMyTommy - I think the biggest weakness of any passionate football fan is her/his ability to manage expectations.
*now
ReplyDeleteI can't type worth a darn today. I think I'm sleep deprived. Plus, I've only had one DC so far. Time for IV bolus.
Then I have a big weakness - because I always expect the best
ReplyDeleteChicago is my fave city, but I won't be stepping out on the glass.
ReplyDeleteMon - you just described me with uncanny accuracy
ReplyDeletei gots skillzz i duz
ReplyDeleteIt's a solid floor, for crying out loud. Or for Pete's sake; let's not forget about Pete.
ReplyDeleteTrue dat Mon, true dat
ReplyDeleteMon - just change out of your dress into some slacks or jeans, and it will be fine.
ReplyDeleteNOTE TO SELF: do not wear kilt when going to Sears tower.
I'm more often accused of unfounded pessimism. I prefer to think of it as a realistic view.
ReplyDeleteMon - I agree, CHI is a great city, my favorite big city in the US, too. Unfortunately, most map dealers are in NYC :-(
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of big cities. It's been almost 10 years since I was in Philadelphia, therefore almost 10 years since I've had a Philly cheesesteak (I don't eat wretched impostors). I sure could use a Geno's or Pat's cheesesteak right now, or better yet, one of each.
No dress? What fun is that???
ReplyDeleteBesides, it just gives me the willies I tell ya! I also hate swinging bridges just so ya know.
Now I want to go to Chicago and clock some hours at Buddy Guy's place.
I hate spiders. And I really really hate ticks.
ReplyDeleteHeights and swinging bridges don't bother me as long as the likelihood of plunging to my death is quite small. Eight foot ladders worry me a lot more than a swinging bridge hundreds of feet in the air.
I hate heat rash. Just sayin'
ReplyDeleteand jock itch
ReplyDeletewhich reminds me, it's caused by a fungus. Mushrooms are a fungus. That's just one of the many good reasons not to eat mushrooms.
Glass observation decks = Heck no.
ReplyDeleteLadders = Scare me more than puppets.
Glad you had fun TommyD.
First coach to leave? ... I think Pete will survive any discussion of it. Jay G clearly made his inquiry for funsies.
It depends on too many factors. Gus could certainly be in the mix for a HC job, or get even more $ somewhere else as an OC.
While Luper and Trooper probably have HC aims, neither has coordinated an offense. Does that matter? It may to some schools.
I'll go off the board -- Thigpen. Why? I don't know.
Jet: "I can't wait ... to secondarily violate!" is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThought you'd like that, Jay Gizzle.
ReplyDeleteGood job Jet!!
ReplyDeleteLadders are scarier than swinging bridges?
ReplyDeleteI am having issues with my blackberry...
ReplyDeleteIt keeps turning itself off unless it is plugged into an outside power source. I have ruled out an unruly application as the culprit. Maybe it is the battery. But, if the battery was the culprit, why would it still show the same % charge when I boot back up as it was showing before it shut off (I.e. 70% or 90%)? That is the part that doesn't make sense. It just did it after a full charge. I did a battery pull and it showed 95% when it booted back up. Weird!
No dust (not significant) or debris preventing the connection... It's making a solid connection from what I can tell. It has not been wet, and has not suffered a hard fall or crash.
I'm considering upgrading my phone anyway... My 8310 is 2 years old. I was hoping to wait a few months... But, I may have to go ahead and do it now. It doesn't make sense to buy a new battery then turn around in a couple months and get a new phone altogether. What say ye fine peeps? Is it time for me to visit the Apple store? Or can I fix this thing?
Hotties, thank you so much for your prayers and concern. I just went to see little G. Fortunately, he hadn't gone to surgery yet. He is so drugged up on pain meds. He was laying on his side with his tongue sticking out a little. I think he recognized my voice and picked up his head and wagged his tail a little.
ReplyDeleteSaw an anaconda at the SD Zoo. I'd have to say the one we saw would be scarier than ladders and swinging bridges if we were to be in that glass room with it.
ReplyDeleteanacondas and pythons - scary? You betcha
ReplyDeletesolid flooring, not so much.
Things that scare me:
ReplyDeleteSnakes, especially anacondas
Ladders
Glass observation decks
Swinging bridges
Flying
flying doesn't scare me, unless it's in an Airbus or the pilot is dead.
ReplyDeleteMy driving scares me, especially when I'm barreling down an icy road
at 60 mph
ReplyDeleteHope all Hotties have a great fourth of July.
ReplyDeleteI plan to celebrate by pickling my new liver.
BTW Mon -- thanks for the b'day present!!
ReplyDeletepickling is a great way to preserve something, FSJ.
ReplyDeleteAs for the QotD:
ReplyDeleteI would love to get at least 1 game under their belts before speculatin' on which one leaves. But, that option was taken off the table.
Malzahn - will be a HC someday. But, I don't see him taking a crap HC job just to be a HC (no ISU). I think he waits on just the right opportunity.
Trooper - could get the OC gig at AU if Malzahn leaves. He could also take a smaller HC job eventually.
Luper - similar to Trooper, I think he could either takeover as OC at AU if Malzahn left or take an OC job at a BCS school.
Thigpen - I could see him garnering interest in becoming someone's DC someday
Rocker - he could possibly get a shot at DC somehwere as well.
I'd love to keep all of these guys around at least for a few years to see what they can do.
From the Associated Press, courtesy of MontgomeryAdvertiser.com ...
ReplyDeleteTORRINGTON, Conn. — Police say a group of Connecticut teenagers misunderstood a woman's screams during sex and stopped what they thought was an assault by beating the woman's companion.
A girl, two boys and a 19-year-old man were arrested Tuesday and arraigned Wednesday on assault and conspiracy charges.
On June 6, police say the 16-year-old girl, who lives in the Torrington home, heard the 34-year-old woman's screams and thought she was being attacked.
The girl rounded up four friends. Police say they went into the bedroom and beat the woman's 25-year-old companion with a baseball bat and punched him. He was treated at a hospital and released.
One of the friends wasn't charged.
The woman hasn't returned a message left by The Associated Press. There is no phone listing for the man.
MY pleasure, MYTommy. ;-)
ReplyDeletewow, that "assault" must have lasted a long time for the girl to be able to "round up" 4 friends. I'm guessing the "assault" was pharmacologically enhanced.
ReplyDeleteNick Saban ... oh wait, you said coaches at Auburn.
ReplyDeleteThis is ... amazing. Regardless of political leanings, this is disturbing.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politico.com/news/stories/0709/24441.html
jet...
ReplyDeleteYo linkage be broke.
I believe Troop has been a co-OC before.
ReplyDeleteI have been out on glass floors at the Canadian National Tower in Toronto. I don't think it is as tall as the Sears Tower, but I am not sure of the exchange rate between Canadian feet and US feet.
I will tell you that you will hesitate. Your brain has a built in don't do something stupid instinct. Well, of course, unless your Tony Franklin.
SteveFC- I think you've upped your dose of funny pills lately.
ReplyDeleteI guess the positive to draw from the Conn situation is that the kids aren't too worldly and didn't recognize the "type" of scream.
ReplyDeleteOf course not many folks have ever heard a 34 y/o female scream over joy delivered from a 25 y/o pharmacologically enhanced male....and those that have.. were probably participating and ain't talkin'.
Jey, I agree that is disturbing. Heck, an every day American couldn't get that much access to those columnists/reporters. I say we have an access lottery where you can win a chance to talk to those people, or possibly even the president. Yea, it seems like a crazy idea, but the money could be used to help schools, so if you are against my idea, you are against children.
ReplyDeleteSteve, I acknowledge that Trooper was Co-OC at Okie State, but when the head coach is the playcaller, the title of Co-OC is greatly diminished.
ReplyDeleteMalzahn was actually the co-OC at Tulse too. It is just like Kodi being the co-QB at Auburn.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I am convinced that we need to come up with a good nickname for our starting QB. It will make all of you more accepting of him. I have two so far.
Chris "The Noodle" Todd
Chris "Sweeney" Todd
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Jet..Just another example of the arrogance of the self-entitled, agenda-driven press.
ReplyDeleteI understand some need for lobbyist in order to reduce public gnashing of teeth over issues, but if there is no way to seriously reel in that industry..I say spread the dirty laundry all over the lawn and let the ignorant mases sort it out. The results might even be better.
I'd prefer something more specific than Noodle...how about Linguini?
ReplyDeleteChris "FC" Todd.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the JCCW has an interesting series of blogs going on. He is looking at this year's schedule but going back and reviewing how we did against them last year to get an idea of how things might go. I found in fascinating reading about the Tennesse game and how, at the time, he didn't think the offense could get worse and had to improve. Little did he no, the Tennessee victory was the high point of the season. I love the Ironic Irony.
ReplyDeleteMy 12:45 post has prompted avatar modification.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, love the avatar Hoopie.
ReplyDeleteAs for expectations this season, it is going to be interesting. I predict we win 6 or 7 of the first 7 games and expectations go through the Ted Roof. But then the reality portion of the schedule kicks in and we win a total of 1 of the last 5 games.
Oh no. Steve said the forbidden word.. or acronym.
ReplyDeleteI will unleash upon thee, the wrath of JGT. You didn't think it thru, and now you can't undo, typing JCCW.
What's bothering me with Jet's story is this scenario: "Well Mr/Ms. Lobbyist you want to see Senator (Insert committee chairman's name) for an off the record "chat"? Well sir that will cost you 250,000 and we'll be glad to help you out." And the people that let the story out were the lobbyists, which once again means that any of the politicians that were involved were more than happy to be a part (I'm sure no money kicking back there, right?). Wanna know why we have to take back our government?
ReplyDeleteAh, Jay doesn't mind JCCW, but he doesn't want him referred to as "reporting" anything. He isn't doing the work that a reporter does. He mainly links what others have reported or opinion that is out there and wraps his opinion around it.
ReplyDeleteAny word on Luv's puppydog?
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think the value of the federal goverment is its entertainment value. Every 4 years we get to choose who will lie to us. The best part is the myth that there is a difference between Republicans and Democrats. You think the government is helping? Well, we have went from screwed to screwed plus another $7 Trillion in debt. Yea, the federal government in hilarious. If I can have zero debt, why can't the federal government? I ain't exactly no Einstein.
ReplyDeleteWill the beating of bama ever stop? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy
(I'm certainly not real pleased with our overall standing, but I do take solace in our typical position of dominance over bama)
And no, FSJ, I do not want to discuss gymnastics.
ReplyDeleteStanford won its 15th consecutive?!?! You know I think the higher the profile the sport, the more value it should carry. I don't believe, IMHO, that high rankings in golf, water polo and whatever else they excel, is as big a deal as championships in football, basketball, and baseball. But then again I'm SEC biased.
ReplyDeleteThe first coach to leave will be Tracy Rocker. He will join Alabama's coaching staff.
ReplyDeleteFram the NACDA site:
ReplyDeleteStanford boasted an impressive 10 top five finishes this season, taking home the men’s gymnastics and women’s rowing championships, placing second in women’s volleyball and men’s water polo, third in men’s cross country, men’s swimming, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and women’s water polo, fourth in women’s swimming, seventh in men’s track and field, eighth in women’s cross country and women’s gymnastics, ninth in fencing, women’s softball, women’s tennis and men’s tennis, 11th in men’s track and field, 12th in women’s track and field, 20th in men’s golf, 40th in women’s golf, 43rd in women’s track and field and 51st in men’s wrestling.
I say don't count the fencing.
ReplyDeleteMichael-for that rude comment 1690 lashes with a wet noodle. If Todd is up to it.
Screw being a vegetarian....I want some BBQ.

Michael, I suggest you take your prediction to Coach Rock. Nice knowing you.
ReplyDelete^^^^WTH is that ^^^^^
ReplyDeleteFSJ- it's likely a spyware/malware/virus web site; JGT will dispose of it if and when he stops enjoying his vacation.
ReplyDeleteYes, barbecue sounds incredibly good right now. I sure hope Hursey's is open tomorrow.
The only thing in english is 24hmail.com.tw. No idea what this is. Everything else is in asian characters. Pretty bizarre.
ReplyDeleteHere is a google translation. The translation leaves a little to be desired, but it appears to be an on-line store with a diverse shelf.
ReplyDeleteHarry Adams is getting moved back to CB.
ReplyDeleteWho didn't see that one coming?
What's next... Demond Washington getting moved to CB rather than playing RB?
By the way... Today has to be labelled the Thursday of death! I am the ONLY poor soul in the office today, with tomorrow a holiday. I don't think it can drag on any slower!
Anybody want to discuss clean water intake system design and regulatory compliance?
ReplyDelete:/
no thanks D.Miller.
ReplyDeletenot surprised about Adams going back to DB. rivals article says his mom has diabetes and has been real sick.
So how many of you kids are going to be at work tomorrow to enjoy a Friday filled with fun and excitement?!? Or is it just me holding up the US workforce?
ReplyDeleteI was just in Charleston and there is a new BBQ joint there. The smells gave me a nosegasm. As a matter of fact a girl and her four friends tried to break into my car to save me.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about H.Adams mum being sick... Why did Rivals feel it was pertinent to put that in the story?
ReplyDeleteGreg (one of those evil federal gov't employees) and I have a long weekend together! YAY!
ReplyDeleteAt about 12:00 Alabama time Luv had to take her puppy to an orthopedic surgeon because her vet didn't have equipment small enough to work on his tiny bones. :-(
Nosegasm? Bravo..
ReplyDeleteWell done, mon.
*curtsy*
ReplyDeleteThings that I wish I had been around to see: Mon having a nosegasm.
ReplyDelete8 down, 8 to go.
ReplyDeleteThere are orthopedic surgeons for tiny dogs? Talk about over specializing in your field.
ReplyDeleteapparently his mom being sick and in & out of the hospital made him think of transferring to someplace closer to home (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). CGC said if he needed to go home to just let him know. she has been doing better so he doesn't feel like he needs to be back home now.
ReplyDeleteI'll be playing golf at the beautiful Hogansville American Legion golf course this weekend.
ReplyDeleteLast time I played there, I was teamed up with my cousin-in-law....attired in wife-beater, cut off jean shorts and work boots.
It's a classy joint.
i will running the Scottie B dog kennel this weekend. can't afford to do much else.
ReplyDeleteI'll be recovering tomorrow and preparing for a weekend back on the job.
ReplyDeleteMonica- that was undoubtedly the best post of the day. I had to tell my work pals.
Ahh... Ok, that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI wish him and his family the best. Hopefully he can be allowed (by the coaches) the flexability to visit home if the need arises and not feel like he has to transfer to do so. Family is more important than football, and I like to think the coaching staff understands that.
Ehyou, just wondering how much Bud was consumed on the course that day? Something makes me think there was a "helllllllyeah" after a good shot, too.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is Adams and Washington will both be in the defensive secondary. Our most depth seems to be at WR, QB, and TE.
ReplyDeleteFamily more important than football? Maybe I need to rethink my priorities.
ReplyDeleteI think it's more a case that her vet just didn't have the right EQUIPMENT.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you and your co-workers enjoyed it, THT.
Greg and I will probably go see The Hangover tomorrow. Saturday we're headed to an all afternoon/evening party.
MyTommy - I don't know if you could have taken it.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteSaturday I will be taking Coop (our pup, not the esteemed Hottie) to visit the Vet and get a progress report on whether his ear correction surgery is working or not. Then we go to an all afternoon shindig with the in-laws. Should be fun. (Or as Jet said earlier today... Funsies.)
ReplyDeleteYou know, Mon, you're probably right.
ReplyDeleteSteve, interesting that the positions you listed as having the most depth have also been some of the least productive positions on the team. Does that make depth there a plus or a minus?
ReplyDeleteToday be my birthday.
ReplyDeleteHA Hush! I'm never right.
ReplyDeletehappy birthday ehyou!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ehyou
ReplyDeletedepressed, I was kind of thinking the same thing. Our deepest position is QB.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mr. Hand!!! Happy birthday ehyou!
ReplyDeleteWell Mon I guess that's gonna be our little secret.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday ehyou!!! I remember back in the good ole days when I use to have birthdays. Not no more.
ReplyDeleteOk..I'm bored...
ReplyDeleteName five things that you don't leave home without...
1) Keys
2) Wallet
3) iPhone
4) Sunglasses
5) Macbook Pro (on weekdays)
Thanks guys.
ReplyDeleteMy wife asked me what I wanted for my b-day supper.....reuben sandwiches. Can't wait.
Great question, does having bodies at a position actually mean you have depth at that spot? That's almost dirty.
ReplyDelete6) pocket knife
ReplyDelete7) pen
Keys
ReplyDeleteWallet ...usually
Cellphone ... not up to the 21st century yet.
And I forget the other two things
Happy Birthday ehyou!
ReplyDeleteFSJ-
ReplyDeletemine identical except pod for phone on #3 and (vacation or library) on #5
I occasionally forget my socks/shoes, or drop my socks in the garage on the way out. I hate when that happens.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Ehyou!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe thing you'd think I would remember (the medicine I take every day) is the thing I'd be most likely to forget.
ReplyDeleteDead Malls is an interesting site. It's rather nostalgic reading about malls you went to when you were a kid and aren't around anymore.
ReplyDeletePlus for some reason, I'm fascinated with abandoned buildings.
HAHAHAHAHAHA

It's definitely almost 5:00 on a holiday weekend here. I turned my music up a bit and one of my work pals jumped into my doorway dancing saying, "I had to get my groove on!"
ReplyDeleteI'm watching Georgia Navigator showing the traffic slowly clog up all the interstates around Atlanta. Looks like the weekend has arrived in the ATL. Hope no one of the hot ones are/were planning on getting through quickly this evening
ReplyDeleteSurprised that it took that long today for Atlanta to become a parking lot.
ReplyDeletei have had the busiest day with customers. ready for 10:30pm so i can return home to hear my 3 happy barking all-americans waiting up for me.
ReplyDelete1. Keys
ReplyDelete2. Wallet
3. Checkbook
4. Pocket Knife
5. Snuff
6. More Snuff
7. Turn around and get phone that I forgot.
ReplyDeleteEvidently,FSJ, they were all waiting for me to get ready to leave and have to go across town to pick up the wifey. Its a conspiracy I tell ya
ReplyDeleteWhat's with people listing stuff?
ReplyDeletemy fault tommy...
ReplyDeleteI was bored and listed the five things I won't leave home without.
1) Keys (sometimes I forget them, but I don't get very far)
ReplyDelete2) Wallet
3) Phone
4) Sunglasses

ReplyDeleteAfternoon Hotties! "The look" just got me, sit back I need to vent!
ReplyDeleteHere I sit winding down to the Holiday weekend when in walks a client with her son trailing behind her. He looked to be 11-12 years old. The kid takes three steps into my office and stops like he has hit a stone wall. Seriously!
I said, "what's the matter Landon?" He just stares at me like I'm an alien and points to the bookcase and wall behind me...says nothing ...just points at my wonderful memories, my AU Tiger, an old orange and blue pom-pom, an AU bobble head football player, a picture with old AUisms plastered all over it, my framed Auburn Creed and my AU diploma. He just stares at me in pure disgust!
His mother said,"Well,Landon not everybody can be a Georgia fan." (Like it's a damn priviledge!)
He said, "But you live in Georgia, you ought to pull for Georgia!" (Yeah, right!)
It wasn't what he said, after all he is just a kid, but it was "the look".....I, my friends, witnessed the future making of a totally obnoxious DAWG fan.
My question is: Y'all got any of those kind over in Alabama????(Em,... thought so!)
Forgive me for being so long winded. Have a great one y'all....
