  2. Jay G, are you ever gonna write a tell all book documenting all the "dust ups" that occur between beat writers. How did the two guys get into an argument last night? What do beat writers get angry at each other for?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Someone on BMatt's board said Craig Stevens, who was being interviewed by the two hacks in question both before and during the dust-up, apparently Tweeted about this last night.

Has anyone seen this SWEET TWEET?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Anonymous8:55 AM

    Fore!

    What dustup?

    ReplyDelete
  5. searching feverishly for the Craig Stevens Twitter account... maybe I will invite him to follow GibberishFeed when I find him!

    ReplyDelete
  6. man y'all are fast!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. No, but JGT radio appearances are sweet IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sensi, that's the most annoying avatar ever.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Mission Accomplished!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Sensi...
You're avatar's gonna send me into a seizure.

    ReplyDelete
  11. found it:

    Twitter account: fosicks

"LMAO at these reporters about to fight over an interview w/ me!!"

    ReplyDelete
  12. I would love to see two beat hacks get into it...

    ReplyDelete
  13. I've gotta get a better strategery.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Wish I knew who the near fighters were..

    That would be great fun.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jay, I sent Sensi a wonderful avatar that is much less annoying and reflects his sweet, positive nature.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Maybe Conan O'Brien can have this SWEET TWEET on his Twitter Tracker segment.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I just saw the depth chart posted. I guess Jay G got Saban's permission to post Auburn's depth chart.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Stay the course, Jet. No new strategy!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Michael: That's the one!

They weren't arguing over Stevens, though. The kid is permitted some creative license since he had to listen to it. He was have a great time ... seriously great time.

  21. I just realized the shorthand names of cincy and Sensi are homophones. Amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Cincy - speaking of Avatar's are you going to see AVATAR the movie in December. Looks strangely bizzare and interesting at the same time

    ReplyDelete
  23. michael, you are a genius!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Is there a live feed for this show...I can't find a link on Mr. Tate's link.

    ReplyDelete
  25. After looking at Seni's avatar...I had the same reaction that Kramer had when hearing Mary Hart's voice.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anonymous9:03 AM

Reporters fighting? Did they throw digital records and notepads at each other? There must have been a broken protocol between them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sensi, I think the new avatar is cool.

    ReplyDelete
  28. JR,
Had to look it up cause I had never heard of it - but, no.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'll get a link up. Sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  30. http://www.supersport930.com/

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ok... I thought the new avatar WAS cool.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous9:06 AM

J-Z - It's where the banshees live and they do live well.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sensi, they were just mouthing off at each other.

I actually have a transcription. I may release it ... with names redacted.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It was HILARIOUS.

    I'm now on the air.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous9:08 AM

Listening in as I type this.

That transcript would be a good laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The link was there, but there's no feed. Or am I a dumba$$?

    That was a rhetorical question. I know I'm a dumba$$.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I know that was Sean that sent in that question, had to be.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Beat Hack Throw Down...sounds like a Fox reality series.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Got it...It was a google chrome issue.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous9:12 AM

If Chris Todd makes it rain for Malzhan, I predict a redshirt on our favorite Texas QB.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Please don't redact...we want substance.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Jay G, I would love to see the redacted transcript.

    ReplyDelete
  43. 4:20 reference...classic.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Sensi- Dude, Gus pretty much just said there was almost no way that he can redshirt a guy can help at the same time saying that Rollison can help. No RS for Rollison. The Express keeps on rolling!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Anonymous9:13 AM

Jay G. with the stoner reference.

    Nice.

    4:20 practices are so...smooth

    ReplyDelete
  46. Someone needs to smack that avatar of Sensi right off the blog. My head hurts.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anonymous9:15 AM

    Et tu, Eddie$?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Rollison will play the role of Prior last year at Ohio State or to put it in Auburn terms the 1995 Dameyune Craig role.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Be careful of the Ides of March my friend. Since our Itunes review says I bring nothing to the show, i'm throwing knifes now when you aren't looking.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Got in late..Is this Jay G on?

If so he has the same opinion of Don Jackson as I do.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous9:16 AM

RK, that's a good point and a good idea.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Anonymous9:18 AM

I'll take Medical Ailments that require weed for 200, Alex.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Dang, no Jay G coverage tonight from Auburn. What, do you need sleep and family time?

    ReplyDelete
  54. j-z...
Thanks, I thought I too was a dumbass, but evidently it's Chrome that's retarded.

    ReplyDelete
  55. DON'T OUTRO ME AFTER 5 MINUTES.

    ReplyDelete
  56. "That better not be outro music"- Jay G laying the smack down. Talked himself into another segment.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Loganville, you deserve to be in the HoF and you will be.

    Apologies.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Prattville kicks it off tonight at the Stanley Jensen south annex in the Gump tonight. I'm curious to see how LSU's new QB commit performs. Maybe Mr. Tate will cover that scrimmage tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  59. JGT... way to go. Keep it rollin'

    ReplyDelete
  60. Keep bringing it Jay G. I swear that had to be Sean with the opening question.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Anonymous9:21 AM

Jay G. just gets warmed up after a few minutes. It was always the latter half where the heat got thrown.

Memories from last season on The Gridiron Breakdown.

    Good times.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I got your back Ehyou.

    ReplyDelete
  63. These guys in Mississippi are about 123% better than those @$$ clowns in Montgomery

    ReplyDelete
  64. The "don't outro me" was good stuff..

    ReplyDelete
  65. I have to admit, this is my first time listening to the Hatin' with Jay G segment...I think I will tune in regularly. This is good radio.

    ReplyDelete
  66. They need new bumper music though.

    ReplyDelete
  67. what is this "intro" music?

    Lovin' with Jay G now.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Jay smackin them around today.

    ReplyDelete

  70. HACK FIGHT UPDATE!

    ReplyDelete
  71. The details about this argument crack me up..

    Aren't we all "print reporters"?

    LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  72. So eliminate Phillip Marshall from the scrum, or maybe not.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I am morally opposed to same sound posting and will appoint judges who will agree with me. They must pass this important lintscreen test.

    ReplyDelete
  74. 4:20 is an all inclusive time?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Two internet guys...

    Caldwell? He crossed off Matthews.

    ReplyDelete
  76. The Kaiser? Snort

    ReplyDelete
  77. My guess is that Mark Murphy is the guilty party.

    ReplyDelete
  78. i'm thinking the same thing RK.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Said that one guy tapes the Q&A session with the whole group then goes in after to try to get more quotes.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It could also be Jeffery on Rivals also.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Powerbook?

Thought you had a Macbook Pro?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Mr. Tate shall not, he shall not be moved.

    Fight the man!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Marshall!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Could Marshall be the hero in this?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Mark Murphy!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. So, Mark Murphey and PMarsh going at it...Hmm?

    ReplyDelete
  88. LOL...the remark about Mark Murphy is GREAT

    ReplyDelete
  89. Oh...Jay G brought the substance.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Ok. I can't hear the radio segment at work. What are the details on Hack Scrum '09?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Is that Outro music?

    ReplyDelete
  92. This was actually very good.

    Outside of the bumper music.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Excellent job Jay G

    ReplyDelete
  94. D.Miller- Phillip Marshall laid on Mark Murphy and had him in a sleeper squat.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Funny stuff there.

    ReplyDelete
  96. This show is AWESOME!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. That's Jay G's theme music on the show.

It was something different last year, I think it was the theme from Falcon Crest, CHIPS or some other early 80's show.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I thought he put the Diamond Cutter on him.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I was referring to the Whitney Houston stuff...which they explained.

    ReplyDelete
  100. That multipurpose music ... intro, outro ... it's all the same.

Doggone hosts were trying to put words in my mouth. I didn't identify the parties involved with last night's dust-up.

    ReplyDelete
  101. The Roundtable ruined me for HABOTN radio, so I quit listening....I'm glad I listened today. Very entertaining.

J-Z, I expect you to have a picture of PMarsh beating down Mark Murphy made up withing the hour. Photoshop is your friend (PMarsh's head would look pretty funny on Brock Lesnar's body).

    ReplyDelete
  102. Those guys are really good. I do wish they were located closer to Auburn so they would discuss topics I care about a bit more, but they make Miss State sound interesting, so in my mind that's doing a great job.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Just eliminated them.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Exactly Jay..

They should report news...not make news..

    LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  105. FSJ: I use a MacBook Pro 2.4.

I'm still in the habit of calling it a PowerBook.

    ReplyDelete
  106. WoW JGT - I'm Honored!! Thanks for the recognition!!

    LT

    ReplyDelete
  107. Awesome- Bevis and Butthead on that show also.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I am sooo tempted to post this transcription.

I can't decide if it would be disappointing for you guys. Nobody cussed. Nobody's mother was discussed. It was just two dudes getting catty with each other and it basically caused a scene in front of Stevens, who was really amused.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Aight. Gotta get cracking on the daily posts.

    ReplyDelete
  110. You have to post it. I heard you say you were gonna.

    ReplyDelete
  111. oh....thought you might have bought a powerbook on the secondary market.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Post it, if we are disappointed, then so be it.

Can't be worse than the disappointment we were feeling 11 months or so ago when talking on this blog.

    ReplyDelete
  113. post it, comment level only I would suggest.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Agree with Peter..you have to post it.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Post It! Post IT POST IT!!!!

    please

    ReplyDelete
  116. Anyone else having problem's with the Auburnundercover site?

    ReplyDelete
  117. You guys love you some gossip!

    ReplyDelete
  118. I don't go there. It's HABOTN or nothin' for my Auburn news (with an occasional shoutout to Bitter).

    ReplyDelete
  119. As sand passes thru the hourglass, these are the days of our lives....

    ReplyDelete
  120. Kristina, what's better? Beat writer fights or Lutz's weight? C'mon. Gossip rules!

    ReplyDelete
  121. By the way, I got hooked into watching Days of Our Lives at Auburn by none other than Ricky Neal. Swear to God.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Eddie,

My only problem with it, is that it's a pay site.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Oh, I wasn't knocking you. Just making an observation.

I think he should post it to. You know, so we can make an informed decision on what happened and not have to rely on rumors and innuendo.
    ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  124. The irony of a female calling out guys for gossip....

    Good stuff there.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Wow, Ricky Neal watching Days of Our Lives.

Jim Fyffe had a pretty good story about a freshman Charles Barkley knocking on his door on a road trip saying Darrell Lockhart wouldn't let him watch his soaps, and if Fyffe would let him use his TV.

    ReplyDelete
  126. RK- I know. I'm just supporting a good friend that owns the site, but I do enjoy the content as I do Rivals also, which I have been a member of for a long time. Phillip Marshall is also a good person to read, so that's another good reason to be a member.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Soaps in college are a big deal, trust me, I learned that living in Sewell Hall. But even the hard@ss guys while I was there watched soaps. Never would have guessed it and never would have thought I would enjoy them, but I did for a little while.

    ReplyDelete
  128. PF,

This will have to do for now.

    ReplyDelete
  129. So what are the chances the Direct TV guy will actually make it here in the 8am-12pm time frame we were given?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Eddie,

I think Phillip Marshall is a great writer, but he hurt his credibility with me a little last year as it seemed he walked the company line a bit too much in his reporting, especially when Tub was on the outs.

    ReplyDelete
  131. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Plus what little I listened to Auburn Undercover radio last year, PMarsh came across as really grumpy.

However, I don't blame him too much as Bo Meggansen wasn't the best host.

    ReplyDelete
  133. New Thread up Now, but I do agree that PMarsh totes the company line, but I enjoy his perspective pieces that he does still.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Anonymous9:57 AM

That was good stuff. No stammering or fighting to sway the conversation toward to political agendas like the Roundtable.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Post it post It!!!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Jay G.:

Great segment today, as always. It's the one we look forward to the most.

  137. AAhhhh Soaps @ Auburn - must admit I was hooked on General Hospital and the whole Luke and Laura thing......

Did I say that out loud??
