Jay G, are you ever gonna write a tell all book documenting all the "dust ups" that occur between beat writers. How did the two guys get into an argument last night? What do beat writers get angry at each other for?
Someone on BMatt's board said Craig Stevens, who was being interviewed by the two hacks in question both before and during the dust-up, apparently Tweeted about this last night.
They weren't arguing over Stevens, though. The kid is permitted some creative license since he had to listen to it. He was have a great time ... seriously great time.
Sensi- Dude, Gus pretty much just said there was almost no way that he can redshirt a guy can help at the same time saying that Rollison can help. No RS for Rollison. The Express keeps on rolling!!!
Prattville kicks it off tonight at the Stanley Jensen south annex in the Gump tonight. I'm curious to see how LSU's new QB commit performs. Maybe Mr. Tate will cover that scrimmage tonight.
The Roundtable ruined me for HABOTN radio, so I quit listening....I'm glad I listened today. Very entertaining.
J-Z, I expect you to have a picture of PMarsh beating down Mark Murphy made up withing the hour. Photoshop is your friend (PMarsh's head would look pretty funny on Brock Lesnar's body).
Those guys are really good. I do wish they were located closer to Auburn so they would discuss topics I care about a bit more, but they make Miss State sound interesting, so in my mind that's doing a great job.
I can't decide if it would be disappointing for you guys. Nobody cussed. Nobody's mother was discussed. It was just two dudes getting catty with each other and it basically caused a scene in front of Stevens, who was really amused.
Jim Fyffe had a pretty good story about a freshman Charles Barkley knocking on his door on a road trip saying Darrell Lockhart wouldn't let him watch his soaps, and if Fyffe would let him use his TV.
RK- I know. I'm just supporting a good friend that owns the site, but I do enjoy the content as I do Rivals also, which I have been a member of for a long time. Phillip Marshall is also a good person to read, so that's another good reason to be a member.
Soaps in college are a big deal, trust me, I learned that living in Sewell Hall. But even the hard@ss guys while I was there watched soaps. Never would have guessed it and never would have thought I would enjoy them, but I did for a little while.
I think Phillip Marshall is a great writer, but he hurt his credibility with me a little last year as it seemed he walked the company line a bit too much in his reporting, especially when Tub was on the outs.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen this SWEET TWEET?
Fore!
ReplyDeleteWhat dustup?
searching feverishly for the Craig Stevens Twitter account... maybe I will invite him to follow GibberishFeed when I find him!
ReplyDeleteman y'all are fast!!
ReplyDeleteNo, but JGT radio appearances are sweet IMO.
ReplyDeleteSensi, that's the most annoying avatar ever.
ReplyDeleteMission Accomplished!
ReplyDeleteSensi...
ReplyDeleteYou're avatar's gonna send me into a seizure.
found it:
ReplyDeleteTwitter account: fosicks
"LMAO at these reporters about to fight over an interview w/ me!!"
I would love to see two beat hacks get into it...
ReplyDeleteI've gotta get a better strategery.
ReplyDeleteWish I knew who the near fighters were..
ReplyDeleteThat would be great fun.
Jay, I sent Sensi a wonderful avatar that is much less annoying and reflects his sweet, positive nature.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Conan O'Brien can have this SWEET TWEET on his Twitter Tracker segment.
ReplyDeleteI just saw the depth chart posted. I guess Jay G got Saban's permission to post Auburn's depth chart.
ReplyDeleteStay the course, Jet. No new strategy!
ReplyDeleteMichael: That's the one!
ReplyDeleteThey weren't arguing over Stevens, though. The kid is permitted some creative license since he had to listen to it. He was have a great time ... seriously great time.

ReplyDeleteI just realized the shorthand names of cincy and Sensi are homophones. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteCincy - speaking of Avatar's are you going to see AVATAR the movie in December. Looks strangely bizzare and interesting at the same time
ReplyDeletemichael, you are a genius!
ReplyDeleteIs there a live feed for this show...I can't find a link on Mr. Tate's link.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at Seni's avatar...I had the same reaction that Kramer had when hearing Mary Hart's voice.
ReplyDeleteReporters fighting? Did they throw digital records and notepads at each other? There must have been a broken protocol between them.
ReplyDeleteSensi, I think the new avatar is cool.
ReplyDeleteJR,
ReplyDeleteHad to look it up cause I had never heard of it - but, no.
I'll get a link up. Sorry!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.supersport930.com/
ReplyDeleteOk... I thought the new avatar WAS cool.
ReplyDeleteJ-Z - It's where the banshees live and they do live well.
ReplyDeleteSensi, they were just mouthing off at each other.
ReplyDeleteI actually have a transcription. I may release it ... with names redacted.
It was HILARIOUS.
ReplyDeleteI'm now on the air.
DAMN YOU SEAN!!!!
ReplyDeleteListening in as I type this.
ReplyDeleteThat transcript would be a good laugh.
The link was there, but there's no feed. Or am I a dumba$$?
ReplyDeleteThat was a rhetorical question. I know I'm a dumba$$.
I know that was Sean that sent in that question, had to be.
ReplyDeleteBeat Hack Throw Down...sounds like a Fox reality series.
ReplyDeleteGot it...It was a google chrome issue.
ReplyDeleteIf Chris Todd makes it rain for Malzhan, I predict a redshirt on our favorite Texas QB.
ReplyDeletePlease don't redact...we want substance.
ReplyDeleteJay G, I would love to see the redacted transcript.
ReplyDelete4:20 reference...classic.
ReplyDeleteSensi- Dude, Gus pretty much just said there was almost no way that he can redshirt a guy can help at the same time saying that Rollison can help. No RS for Rollison. The Express keeps on rolling!!!
ReplyDeleteJay G. with the stoner reference.
ReplyDeleteNice.
4:20 practices are so...smooth
Someone needs to smack that avatar of Sensi right off the blog. My head hurts.
ReplyDeleteEt tu, Eddie$?
ReplyDeleteRollison will play the role of Prior last year at Ohio State or to put it in Auburn terms the 1995 Dameyune Craig role.
ReplyDeleteBe careful of the Ides of March my friend. Since our Itunes review says I bring nothing to the show, i'm throwing knifes now when you aren't looking.
ReplyDeleteGot in late..Is this Jay G on?
ReplyDeleteIf so he has the same opinion of Don Jackson as I do.
RK, that's a good point and a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI'll take Medical Ailments that require weed for 200, Alex.
ReplyDeleteDang, no Jay G coverage tonight from Auburn. What, do you need sleep and family time?
ReplyDeletej-z...
ReplyDeleteThanks, I thought I too was a dumbass, but evidently it's Chrome that's retarded.
Jay's Rollin'!!
ReplyDeleteDON'T OUTRO ME AFTER 5 MINUTES.
ReplyDelete"That better not be outro music"- Jay G laying the smack down. Talked himself into another segment.
ReplyDeleteLoganville, you deserve to be in the HoF and you will be.
ReplyDeleteApologies.
Prattville kicks it off tonight at the Stanley Jensen south annex in the Gump tonight. I'm curious to see how LSU's new QB commit performs. Maybe Mr. Tate will cover that scrimmage tonight.
ReplyDeleteJGT... way to go. Keep it rollin'
ReplyDeleteKeep bringing it Jay G. I swear that had to be Sean with the opening question.
ReplyDeleteJay G. just gets warmed up after a few minutes. It was always the latter half where the heat got thrown.
ReplyDeleteMemories from last season on The Gridiron Breakdown.
Good times.
I got your back Ehyou.
ReplyDeleteThese guys in Mississippi are about 123% better than those @$$ clowns in Montgomery
ReplyDeleteThe "don't outro me" was good stuff..
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, this is my first time listening to the Hatin' with Jay G segment...I think I will tune in regularly. This is good radio.
ReplyDeleteThey need new bumper music though.
ReplyDeletewhat is this "intro" music?
ReplyDeleteLovin' with Jay G now.
Jay smackin them around today.
ReplyDeleteJay G. just gets warmed up after a few minutes. It was always the latter half where the heat got thrown.
ReplyDeleteMemories from last season on The Gridiron Breakdown.
Good times.
HACK FIGHT UPDATE!
ReplyDeleteThe details about this argument crack me up..
ReplyDeleteAren't we all "print reporters"?
LOL.
So eliminate Phillip Marshall from the scrum, or maybe not.
ReplyDeleteI am morally opposed to same sound posting and will appoint judges who will agree with me. They must pass this important lintscreen test.
ReplyDelete4:20 is an all inclusive time?
ReplyDeleteTwo internet guys...
ReplyDeleteCaldwell? He crossed off Matthews.
The Kaiser? Snort
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that Mark Murphy is the guilty party.
ReplyDeletei'm thinking the same thing RK.
ReplyDeleteSaid that one guy tapes the Q&A session with the whole group then goes in after to try to get more quotes.
ReplyDeleteIt could also be Jeffery on Rivals also.
ReplyDeletePowerbook?
ReplyDeleteThought you had a Macbook Pro?
Mr. Tate shall not, he shall not be moved.
ReplyDeleteFight the man!
Marshall!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteCould Marshall be the hero in this?
ReplyDeleteMark Murphy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI win the prize.
ReplyDeleteSo, Mark Murphey and PMarsh going at it...Hmm?
ReplyDeleteLOL...the remark about Mark Murphy is GREAT
ReplyDeleteOh...Jay G brought the substance.
ReplyDeleteOk. I can't hear the radio segment at work. What are the details on Hack Scrum '09?
ReplyDeleteIs that Outro music?
ReplyDeleteThis was actually very good.
ReplyDeleteOutside of the bumper music.
Excellent job Jay G
ReplyDeleteD.Miller- Phillip Marshall laid on Mark Murphy and had him in a sleeper squat.
ReplyDeleteFunny stuff there.
ReplyDeleteThis show is AWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteThat's Jay G's theme music on the show.
ReplyDeleteIt was something different last year, I think it was the theme from Falcon Crest, CHIPS or some other early 80's show.
I thought he put the Diamond Cutter on him.
ReplyDeleteI was referring to the Whitney Houston stuff...which they explained.
ReplyDeleteThat multipurpose music ... intro, outro ... it's all the same.
ReplyDeleteDoggone hosts were trying to put words in my mouth. I didn't identify the parties involved with last night's dust-up.
The Roundtable ruined me for HABOTN radio, so I quit listening....I'm glad I listened today. Very entertaining.
ReplyDeleteJ-Z, I expect you to have a picture of PMarsh beating down Mark Murphy made up withing the hour. Photoshop is your friend (PMarsh's head would look pretty funny on Brock Lesnar's body).

ReplyDeleteJust eliminated them.
ReplyDeleteExactly Jay..
ReplyDeleteThey should report news...not make news..
LOL.
FSJ: I use a MacBook Pro 2.4.
ReplyDeleteI'm still in the habit of calling it a PowerBook.
WoW JGT - I'm Honored!! Thanks for the recognition!!
ReplyDeleteLT
Awesome- Bevis and Butthead on that show also.
ReplyDeleteI am sooo tempted to post this transcription.
ReplyDeleteI can't decide if it would be disappointing for you guys. Nobody cussed. Nobody's mother was discussed. It was just two dudes getting catty with each other and it basically caused a scene in front of Stevens, who was really amused.
Aight. Gotta get cracking on the daily posts.
ReplyDeleteYou have to post it. I heard you say you were gonna.
ReplyDeleteoh....thought you might have bought a powerbook on the secondary market.
ReplyDeletePost it, if we are disappointed, then so be it.
ReplyDeleteCan't be worse than the disappointment we were feeling 11 months or so ago when talking on this blog.
post it, comment level only I would suggest.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Peter..you have to post it.
ReplyDeletePost It! Post IT POST IT!!!!
ReplyDeleteplease
Anyone else having problem's with the Auburnundercover site?
ReplyDeleteYou guys love you some gossip!
ReplyDeleteI don't go there. It's HABOTN or nothin' for my Auburn news (with an occasional shoutout to Bitter).
ReplyDeleteAs sand passes thru the hourglass, these are the days of our lives....
ReplyDeleteKristina, what's better? Beat writer fights or Lutz's weight? C'mon. Gossip rules!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I got hooked into watching Days of Our Lives at Auburn by none other than Ricky Neal. Swear to God.
ReplyDeleteEddie,
ReplyDeleteMy only problem with it, is that it's a pay site.
Oh, I wasn't knocking you. Just making an observation.
ReplyDeleteI think he should post it to. You know, so we can make an informed decision on what happened and not have to rely on rumors and innuendo.
;-)
The irony of a female calling out guys for gossip....
ReplyDeleteGood stuff there.
Wow, Ricky Neal watching Days of Our Lives.
ReplyDeleteJim Fyffe had a pretty good story about a freshman Charles Barkley knocking on his door on a road trip saying Darrell Lockhart wouldn't let him watch his soaps, and if Fyffe would let him use his TV.
RK- I know. I'm just supporting a good friend that owns the site, but I do enjoy the content as I do Rivals also, which I have been a member of for a long time. Phillip Marshall is also a good person to read, so that's another good reason to be a member.
ReplyDeleteSoaps in college are a big deal, trust me, I learned that living in Sewell Hall. But even the hard@ss guys while I was there watched soaps. Never would have guessed it and never would have thought I would enjoy them, but I did for a little while.
ReplyDeletePF,
ReplyDeleteThis will have to do for now.
So what are the chances the Direct TV guy will actually make it here in the 8am-12pm time frame we were given?
ReplyDeleteEddie,
ReplyDeleteI think Phillip Marshall is a great writer, but he hurt his credibility with me a little last year as it seemed he walked the company line a bit too much in his reporting, especially when Tub was on the outs.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletePlus what little I listened to Auburn Undercover radio last year, PMarsh came across as really grumpy.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I don't blame him too much as Bo Meggansen wasn't the best host.
New Thread up Now, but I do agree that PMarsh totes the company line, but I enjoy his perspective pieces that he does still.
ReplyDeleteThat was good stuff. No stammering or fighting to sway the conversation toward to political agendas like the Roundtable.
ReplyDeletePost it post It!!!
ReplyDeleteJay G.:
ReplyDeleteGreat segment today, as always. It's the one we look forward to the most.
J. Kev

AAhhhh Soaps @ Auburn - must admit I was hooked on General Hospital and the whole Luke and Laura thing......
ReplyDeleteDid I say that out loud??
