Kodi STILL turns his shoulders too early when "passing" the ball. I had hoped someone would teach him differently this summer.
Caudle passes correctly. Watch the video and notice the shoulder timing difference between the 2 Qbs.
Beaver obviously has some sources. Sometimes accurate..sometimes not. My guess is that the guy is filthy rich and has nothing else to do. He must never leave his keyboard. He is almost always very early with info and puts it out there quickly, concisely and sometimes includes links.
He just repeats or spits out info for AU fans and NEVER brags or calls attention to himself or his blog. I consider him a mostly accurate tickertape.
He also doesn't pretend to be a reporter, so I don't understand the wadded panties.
ha, we all think we have an idea, dont hate me, but I think it will be Todd, if his surgery worked, which they say it has. Hope its not like Brett Farve where it wears down as the season goes on.
Let's hope that the coaches let the reporters attend enough of the practices for JGT to get to watch the OL-DL one-on-one drills. Jay's got a great eye for lineplay and transfers that vision into print very well.
Did anyone read the quote on al.com from Terrance Colemans mom. She said her son was ineligible, but rather he didnt want to wait on the clearing house issues so he went ahead and enrolled in juco.
MMMM, seems like she is saving face. If you think you passed you would wait it out.
JGT, i'll give you a case of Yuengling if can get Tyrik to hold up a HABOTN tee and you snap a picture. Eddie can blow it up to a 16x20 and hang it above his bed. just a thought. you know, if you get really thirsty.
Todd obviously had no arm left by the 4th game last year, but he still looked in command on the field. He reminded me a great deal of Cox, not extremely talented but a good general.
If his arm is back, he will be a solid QB. I think within 2 weeks the choice will be between Caudle and Todd.
have yall checked out the format of the new media guide? it's cool. they actually gave every single player their own page. very cool. i'm sure that's got to look good to recruits. isn't that what it's all about?
Cox was better than any of our returning QBs and one of the most accurate in school history. He just was playing on a team with very little talent at receiver and when Irons graduated, he really didn't have the go to tailback either.
That isn't to say that when Cox was bad, he was very bad. He had a couple of games were he couldn't do anything right.
Caudle is inexperienced. I read from another one of my unreliable sources that Malzahn was impressed with Todd's knowledge of the offense. That is what I think puts Todd in the lead.
He got some random girl pregnant not too long ago. He worked for homebanc till it went out of business... hope he doesnt sue for defamation of character
I like caudle, I am just stating, with and arm, Todd has the understanding of the system. As we saw last year knowing what to do when you have that many moving parts is critical.
Without and arm he is done... i still remember seeing rec streaking open and CT could not throw the ball to them.... never again so I want to see that....
Agree DL just think that caudle will make the most of the opportunity i think if given. I really think that he would be a good confident QB if he was given the ball.
Just watched the clip from yesterday. It ilooked to me that Neil has the Much easier throwing motion and mechanics - it looks effortless. Kodi looks to me as he is working to throw the ball - lots of extra movement in his throw. The little on the tape seemed Neil threw a more catchable ball too.
Just an observation from an ex-midget football QB .....

ReplyDeletehot dang!
ReplyDeleteStill born...
ReplyDeleteWow, no traffic this evening.
ReplyDeletemans gotta eat...
ReplyDeleteJGT did you take that pic? Pretty good..
The Rollison Express is starting to roll.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe Jay dissed my unsubstantiated source and that the Hotties don't like Beaver. I am shocked.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I loved the QB/WR video Jay. For some reason the videos wont play for me until you post another blog. Yes, it is very weird.
ReplyDeleteJGT...
ReplyDeleteAre those pics yours or van Earnsts' work?

Those pics are mine ... all mine.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Montez Billings? He was starting to develop good WR habits.
ReplyDeleteI am duly impressed. Superb work.
ReplyDeleteEddie...I appreciate your enthusiasm for the "Express", but right now I just don't "hear that train-a-comin'".
ReplyDeleteDiggin the intro to the video...."cause knowledge is power"
ReplyDeleteok, nice pix and video. What did we get from today, anything?
ReplyDeleteBates is eligible, thats good. One more body always helps.
QB's, no one knows, It makes me nautious to overanalyze.
I agree on the QB over-analyze. It's simple...Caudle will start.
ReplyDeleteBates being elligible isn't for certain. I haven't heard any confirmation.
ReplyDeleteha, we all think we have an idea, dont hate me, but I think it will be Todd, if his surgery worked, which they say it has. Hope its not like Brett Farve where it wears down as the season goes on.

ReplyDeletesteve, not saying its law but one of the other pay sites is where i got it from. Lets hope its true.
ReplyDeletesweet. a Rollison pic. can't believe Eddie doesn't have it as his avatar yet. ;)
ReplyDeletetime scottie, just a little time
ReplyDeleteDid anyone read the quote on al.com from Terrance Colemans mom. She said her son was ineligible, but rather he didnt want to wait on the clearing house issues so he went ahead and enrolled in juco.
ReplyDeleteMMMM, seems like she is saving face. If you think you passed you would wait it out.
I just hope that CGM can select a QB based on the one with the most positives and not the one with the least negatives.
ReplyDeleteJGT you gotta kill the autoplay... its killin me...
ReplyDeleteIf the arm works,,its Todd

So far lots of offense related clips. Lots of qbs throwing to our young group of wideouts, which looks good.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen much of the defense in the photos and video. So hopefully we can see some of them soon.
TColeman should probably redshirt at Juco, get his education on track and show up at AU in 1-1/2 years in Jan 2011 with 3 years eligibility.
ReplyDeletehave yall checked out the format of the new media guide? it's cool. they actually gave every single player their own page. very cool. i'm sure that's got to look good to recruits. isn't that what it's all about?

Scottie-JGT.....I'll throw in a case also.

Jay,
ReplyDeleteDid you see Raven Gray peering through the fence watching practice wearing his lettermen jacket>?
I'll split and let's make it a keg.
ReplyDeleteLove the video work Jay...
ReplyDeleteHow much time does it take you to edit this stuff after y'all leave practice?
Other than last season, I don't recall a QB race this heated at Auburn. The Gabe Gross thing never really got like this.
ReplyDeleteIm not buying the Todd kool aid anymore. Caudle is the starter.
ReplyDeleteTHe last good QB race i remember was when Stan WHite won it in 90..
ReplyDeleteCaudle is inexperienced. I read from another one of my unreliable sources that Malzahn was impressed with Todd's knowledge of the offense. That is what I think puts Todd in the lead.
ReplyDeleteI think that Kodi should start...
ReplyDeleteThe Daniel Cobb thing was more of a what were we thinking than a race.
ReplyDeleteGive Caudle a chance. I think if you everyone has confidence he wwill feed off it.
ReplyDeleteNot because he is better mind you..
ReplyDeleteDaniel Cobb was at Auburn fifteen years.
ReplyDeleteim tired...if people have confidence in him he will feed of it
ReplyDeleteSaw Daniel Cobb not too long ago...FAT!
ReplyDeletehe was a heavy drinker to...
ReplyDeleteHave ya seen Freddie Kitchens lately?
ReplyDeleteI will stand behind whoever the QB is. I hope we never see the fans boo another Auburn QB.
ReplyDeleteatlanta tiger really? what is he up to now?
ReplyDeleteSaw him throwing up in Ttown after a game outside pounders at 3 am..Kitchens was a class act.
ReplyDeleteFSJ....I watched the first half of the IB last season....I'm sure that you want Kodi to start.
ReplyDeleteFSJ, Freddie Kitchens was always a biscuit away from having Richard Simmons on speed dial.
ReplyDeleteExactly Hoopie.
ReplyDeleteHe got some random girl pregnant not too long ago. He worked for homebanc till it went out of business... hope he doesnt sue for defamation of character
ReplyDeleteI must admit, Benton looks impressive. Catching the ball away from his body consistently and that pick Jay snapped is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI played little league with Freddie and played High School Baseball against him.....
ReplyDeleteYou hear people all the time say that so and so is the smartest person in their family...
"Little" Freddie Kitchens is by far the smartest person in his family.
His Dad is something else.
I just want the best QB to win the job early and gets to know the offense so that we can beat bama again. So my bammer wife will shut up
ReplyDeleteIf we end up running the RFYLK offense this season, we will get similar results as when we ran it last season.
ReplyDeleteHoopie - Where is this Beaver of whom you speak?
ReplyDeletebeavers site stinks.
ReplyDeleteBitter has a prety good blog as well.
ReplyDeleteI like caudle, I am just stating, with and arm, Todd has the understanding of the system. As we saw last year knowing what to do when you have that many moving parts is critical.

ReplyDeleteSome WRs are impressive practicing in shorts and that's encouraging.
ReplyDeleteNow...taking my que from Trooper....let's see what happens when they put on the pads, if they look good then, I can quit holding my breath.
What makes you think that, ATL?
ReplyDeleteCaudle as the starter would be the feel good story. I just don't see it happening.
ReplyDeleteMonica, see the link in my comment to the videos for a link to Beaver.
ReplyDeleteOnly because you asked:
ReplyDeleteAuburn by Beaver
Thank you, Steve.
ReplyDeleteThank you, ehyou.
ReplyDeleteFellow Schoolhouse Rock lover.
Chris Todd, feel good story of the year...after school special..on the cover of Cheerios...
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry..i have a hard time taking anyone by the name of "Beaver" seriously.
ReplyDeleteI also immediately think of a scene in the first Naked Gun movie when i hear the word Beaver...
FSJ,
ReplyDeleteYea I agree, my wife has a HS school friend named Beaver, and she got onto me for calling him Beav, like it was a formal name or something.
"Say, nice beaver."
ReplyDeletethanks faker, I just had it....
ReplyDeleteahhh I can't do it.
stuffed?
ReplyDeleteLOL...here ya go..
ReplyDeleteFrank Drebin
What up tonight folk
ReplyDeleteAU1 - new pic of Dirty on my FB
ReplyDeletefsj...
ReplyDeleteI truly believe I could watch that 50 times and laugh every time.
let me help you with that
ReplyDeleteOKay, I have waited long enough. How about rock/paper/scissors to decide the starting QB?
ReplyDeleteHey there Hag - Are you in Atlantic City tonight??
ReplyDeleteehyou...
ReplyDeleteAnother one of my favorite scenes..
Drebin
New thread's up.
