Tuesday practice: First impressions

Hey everyone. I just came in from a 20-minute viewing of Auburn practice. I'll get video up ASAP.

Here are some things I saw:
  • LB Eltoro Freeman's wrist cast is off. His wrists were taped, but he seemed fine. I saw him receiving treatment (stretching) on his left hamstring.

  • Poor Philip Pierre-Louis doesn't have his name on his jersey.

  • We were able to watch some 11-on-11s for the first time since April. Harry Adams intercepted a pass thrown by ... take a guess. (Hint: His last name rhymes with "dawdle") To be fair, the wideout, Travante Stallworth, had a good chance to catch the pass.

  • QB Tyrik Rollison wasn't at practice. That probably means nothing, but it's worth noting.

  1. Dear Leader: Thank you for the shirt. It's dazzling. Really.

  2. I must say that catching up on the previous thread from around comment #220 forward was rather entertaining.

  4. Man, thank goodness there's a new thread. Some people were getting a bit silly over on the old one.

JGT, what's up with the shirt? I didn't realize DL had any knowledge of that type garment.

  5. DL sent me a nice t-shirt with his image plastered across the chest.

    It's trendy and worldly.

  6. Shipping from Pyongyang was expensive, too.

  7. and will it be worn in public?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sure. It's just DL's mug and the phrase "O'REARY?"

  9. You do impressions, Jay G? I thought your training was in journalism.

  10. ...and no one but you will know he wasn't wearing any pants when the picture was taken. Well, you and several thousand Hotties.

  11. Thanks again, DL.

That's two garments. Both cherished, of course.

  12. Interesting about Rollison. Maybe a class scheduling conflict or something. That or the first derailment of my brother's Rollison Express.

  13. Mon's right. (Never thought I'd say that.) Those helmets are crooked.

  15. Caudle threw a pick? you must be joking. (SARCASM)

  16. maybe they should just put pPPL on the back of the jersey. It would be a lot easier to fit those letters on the jersey.

  17. Have to laugh at yet another Caudle INT regardless of the WRs miscue. I'm thinking Tyrik is #2.

  18. i know someone mentioned earlier today about the new video on www.auburntigers.com. it's a pre-cursor to the new reality series. anyways, when they're showing the scrimmage our boy Caudle throws a pick. it was humorous then and even more so now. i hope the kid does well, but still funny.

  19. eddie-Luper and T Jackson had man hug today to squelch the internet rumor, accordin to a reporter form AL.com. The reporter even mentioned the rumor. So I guess al is good.

  20. I have seen Tim Jackson, who mitigates ticket disputes, talk with Curtis Luper several times this fall during that pre-practice stretching deal.

I don't think there is anything to that rumor ... then or now.

  22. You all going to like this video more than usual.

    11-on-11 footage comin' your way!

  23. I have no idea what y'all are talking about

  24. Caudle has to be the AU career leader in practice interceptions. I'm with Jordan Hair and Scottie, only I do think the coaches have to be convinced the OL can keep Rollison in the upright position. If not, I don't see them letting him take a pounding as a true freshman.

Or, I could be totally wrong.

  25. Thanks for the wonderful news Jay. Eltoro being back is one of the things I have been hoping for.

  26. I would have liked to see Kodi or Caudle as the number 2 guy and Rollison get a redshirt, but somehow I don't think that will happen. I may end up calling interceptions caudles, just like I call sacks brodies.

  28. I missed all the deep throws by Todd. He must be so quick that I could not see them and only FAH could catchup to them.

  29. Video proves Todd still has a horrible arm.
