  4. did you hear someone say 'BOOM' during one of Kodi's throws? cool. can't tell much fron Todd on those throws.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Anonymous6:36 PM

Interesting. Kodi gets a couple of "good jobs" and even a "that was good can you feel it?"

Todd didn't look so good and even had a "bad throw, bad throw!"

  6. Jet preaching to the Hotties!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Any Mac Hotties want to tell me why the vid will play in Firefox but not Safari?

    ReplyDelete
  8. i think i need to print up some 'HOTTIES FOR HATE' tees for a few of us on here. i'm sure they'd be quite popular. you know, to spread the good word.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I wonder what Pat Sullivan looked like in these drills.

    ReplyDelete
  10. FYI, rivals is reporting we got another basketball commitment. some 6'7" kid that chose us over Cincinnati & Tulane. i don't have the name b/c my rivals sub. ran out.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Dang! The ads are coming in loud and clear but no video....what gives? Anybody else having problems?

    Never had this problem before.

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's fine here, missinit.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I always have problem with these videos until Jay posts another blog. Don't know why, but I am a 64 bit firefox linux user.

Also, Smoltzie has been designated for assignment. Sux.

  15. All is well....it's okay now...I cussed it then twitched my nose...working fine now!

Thanks for the video Jay G!

  16. I will stick with linux. I can't handle windblows.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Actually it was the night vision goggles that did the trick! I can even see the post numbers by the avatars!

  18. Anonymous7:19 PM

Yes 18 as you can see

    ReplyDelete
  19. I am hearing that Jeremy Flowers and Matthew Sample have been removed from the roster. Jay, is this true and if so are we down to 73 players?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Anonymous7:24 PM

I'm bettin' Sully's footwork was better than either of those guys.

If Todd's shoulder is in ice after the first couple of practices...that can't be a good sign for a whole season.

    ReplyDelete
  21. What up Hotties - the great thing about working this project based in California is that when I'm home (not onsite) I can get up early, play 18 holes and still work a full day without missing a beat. At this rate, I may get my game back to a respectable level.

Aside from that, I'm loving the videos, practice reports, and pretty much everything Sportswriter Tate feeds to me.

    Keep Hate Alive.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Apparently Todd's entire arm is covered in ice after each practice. I wouldn't consider that a good sign either.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I use to not respect the bleacher report. Then I read a list of the top 10 Auburn players of all time and it included Will Herring. Since then, well, I pretty much feel about the same about the bleacher report.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mon-after that comment on the earlier, I will refrain from saying I wish that kid would stick his head in there and hit something.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Who said Todd's arm is wrapped in ice? Did I miss something?

Seastrunk, Dyer, Reed, Dixon, Owens all look to be shoring up their commit to AU. not sure when, but put it down.

    ReplyDelete
  26. you know you liked it, wtc
    ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I saw a video of an interview with Todd the other day after practice and his entire arm was in one of Omnica's condoms and I believe it was filed with ice. I think it is a daily thing. I am not certain.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hearing great news about the DE from Miami,FL. (Lemonier) Rocker has ratcheted up the recruitment and the kid is impressed.

    ReplyDelete
  29. It was funny Mon.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I heard that kid was on the verge of committing to someone else the other day, but backed off.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous7:45 PM

wtc - why do you say that, this week on rivals radio I heard Reed and Seastrunk are most likely going to LSU and that even AU has backed off Seastrunk a bit. They also said that Dyer most likely is in.

    Discuss....

    ReplyDelete
  32. I read where Seastrunk said LSU stands for Lache Seastrunk University, but I put no credence behind it. If we get Dyer, I will be ecstatic. If we get Seastrunk and Reed, I will be blown away.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Where did you hear that on Rivals, AU1? I saw a video on Rivals of an interview with Lache and that's not what he was saying.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Steve what do you mean you put no credence behind it? What does that mean exactly?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous7:49 PM

Hey, I don't question wtc because he pulled in something the other week so he has cred.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Either it means that I don't think it means much because it may or may not be true and we have heard him make positive comments about Auburn too, or I don't think he will have CCR as a backup band.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anonymous7:52 PM

    Rivals

You can listen to Mike Farrell on August 6th. He discusses the fact that he talked with Seastrunk after his visit to LSU.

    ReplyDelete
  38. LOL Y'all are confusing me. I'm just asking you where you saw that, AU, because I saw an interview with Lache and I'm wondering if we saw the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I take the same view of recruits as I do with new jobs. I don't assume I have the job until I get the first paycheck. I don't assume we have a recruit until he steps on the field.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I am still working on my trash talking. The latest is going to just say "Dah Bull!!!" any time Eltoro gets a sack.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anonymous7:56 PM

Mon - It was an interview on Sirius XM with Mike Farrell who is a recruiting analyst for Rivals. He spoke with Seastrunk after his visit to LSU. So it is after what you saw.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Reed and his family had a great visit from what I hear. The family REALLY liked Trooper and crew. Reed was the one I thought would pull Seastrunk to LSU. If he is on board, I think Seastrunk is in. There is an article on Rivals about a DB named Dixon. The rivals guy is writing for Oregon Ducks and he mentions the rumor of Seastrunk, Reed and Dixon are all being mentioned as going to AU. He didn't rule out that rumor.

    ReplyDelete
  43. From that video, it seems clear to me Kodi is the front guy. I think I saw Todd throw some 4 yard ducks... And Kodi doesn't even have to be a better passer than Todd- just close enough to him to where his mobility makes up the difference.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Cotton, it really isn't who is the better passer or runner.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think the decommittment of Storm Johnson from LSU is a big deal though. LSU asked him to keep his committment silent as they tried to go after Seastrunk and some kid in Ohio. When Miles was asked the comittment a couple of weeks ago, he said they were still evaluating Johnson and had not offered him. His dad is not happy and he decommitted today. Let's see how Lache looks at Miles now knowing how this kid was treated.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Wow, Storm de-committing is big news. He was suppose to be one of the better players in GA if I remember correctly.

    ReplyDelete
  47. AU1 Here's the interview I'm talking about. It was on the 4th

    Rivals Lache Seastrunk 8.4.09

    ReplyDelete
  48. Anonymous8:04 PM

The radio segment also discussed Auburn making a mistake recruiting all 3 RB's heavily at the same time.

I hope everyone is wrong and we get the Wu Tang Clan(wtc) Result.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Lache makes it clear in that video Trovon isn't his just his "friend," he's his "brother".

    ReplyDelete
  50. THT - Monk would never leave a price tag on the bottom of his thermos.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thanks for the video Omnica. I like the way that kid talks. He sounds respectful and like a good guy.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I do think it is a mistake to target 3 high profile running backs, but if they get one of them, it is all good.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Anonymous8:11 PM

Thx Mon - After that, I think he is going everywhere except for the places he lost phone numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anonymous8:11 PM

I will say this. That kid is super quick.

    ReplyDelete
  55. For practice to be closed there sure are a lot of guys on the Bunker giving their observations of practice. lol

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous8:12 PM

And its funny because the guy conducting the interview is the same guy on the radio.

    ReplyDelete
  57. See THIS is why I like to SEE the interviews myself. Everyone interprets it differently. lol
My take was that he's really and truly down to Auburn and LSU.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Exactly WHY did Storm decommit?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Let me also say that I do not follow recruiting that much.

    ReplyDelete
  60. He committed in early July and Les said to keep it quiet. (les is trying to woo other RB's to LSU) and somehow it got out and about a week ago a reporter asked Les about it and he said they were still evaluating Johnson and no offer was made.

Les got a commit from the #9 athlete on Rivals (will be a Rb at LSU) and Johnson decided he needed to move along if they were not going to acknowledge he was in the fold.

    ReplyDelete
  61. ummm WTC was that a joke about you not following recruiting?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I say that B.J. Honeycutt can't hold Trapper John's jockstrap. That's what I say.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I think AU offers Ken Adams (Juco De) that signed once with AU but was a non qualifier, if the kid from Cali does not graduate on time or is offered a scholly by LSU. i think he takes the LSU offer if he gets one.

    ReplyDelete
  64. you perved my FB status you freak!

    ReplyDelete
  65. WTC = huge cruit stalker

    ReplyDelete
  66. I really don't Mon. I have several friends at AU that located in various places that are privy to things. They don't tell me everything but I piece several of them together, when I have time.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I read somewhere that Auburn's interest in the JUCO DE from Cali had dropped because of someone else we have committed. I don't recall who.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous8:22 PM

Way way side note because I know no one follows soccer but evidently myself and JGT.

JGT - Real Madrid is going to be the NY Yankees of soccer with all the talent they have.

    Carry on.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Oh my goodess, we just got back from eating at BinOBA's restaurant in Orange Beach. If you are ever in the area, I strongly recommend it. The tomato basil soup with andoullie sausage was fabulous, as was the seafood pasta and the soft shell crab. My kids said the sushi was great, although I didn't try it.

A funny on my sister. I said BinOBA was the sous chef - she thought that meant he was the sushi chef.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Steve, we dropped interest inhis teammate that is an OL because we got Phillips from FSU. They are still high on Bolo (or whatever) from a Cali Juco, but he is LSU territory.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hahaha, I think I could be a sushi chef.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Barcelona ain't too shabby either.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Messi was incredible against the Sounders the other night.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Anonymous8:29 PM

Ah good another...you are correct sir!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Should have read, he is from LSU territory.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous8:30 PM

    Where is Edmonds WA?

    ReplyDelete
  77. WTC = HABOTN Chief of Security and Intelligence.

    ReplyDelete
  78. About 15 min N of downtown Seattle. It's cool, one of the main ferry docks departs from here to Kingston,WA on the other side of Puget Sound.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Anonymous8:35 PM

    Seattleplainsman?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Purely by genetics.
And yes, blood really is orange and blue.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Jet-actually an undercover double secret agent.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Back from interviews.

Gotta write -- early deadlines on Fri/Sat. I post a synopsis after I get this done.

    ETA: 9:45ish.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Anonymous8:43 PM

    Thx JGT for the work!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Jay-thanks for the hard work. This is a great blog, but I'm sure you already know that.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Those of you in the know, do you think we will get more commitments before the season starts or will most of the rest wait to see how our season goes?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Absolutely! There is not much college football talk up here, at least not the good stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  87. i may be asleep by 10:45 ET. i'm a sleepy boy tonite.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Cincy-I think some will committ about 3-4 games into the season. I think this because, they are now seeing that some programs are filling up and there may not be room by signing day for many of them.

AU is already marked a few off their list that I thought they would take but they may not have any room.

    ReplyDelete
  89. (but he doesn't follow recruiting)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Not as much as it sounds Mon, not as much as it sounds.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Well, I'm grateful for any recruiting you do follow. Thanks for the info.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Only when he's breathing, Monica.

    ReplyDelete
  93. What if Taylor and Luper can convince a group of highly rated prospects to come to AU by getting them to believe they, as a group, can make a difference in a program that other s will talk about for a while and they can take this program to another level instead of being a cog in a machine somewhere else.

Watch to see if we get a highly rated OL because of Lache and or Reed.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Exactly, Jet. Not sure why he's in such denial.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Are you talking about me in front of me?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Would you rather have me behind you?

    ReplyDelete
  97. Must ... resist ... urge ... can ... I ... do ... it?

    Yes!

    ReplyDelete
  98. I will have to refute all this on IM or something.
No denial, I just have friends that call me and tell me what they hear.

    They are good contacts though.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Rather be a front stabber than a back stabber.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Be sure to out the saran wrap on though.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I for one would much rather have a woman in front of me than behind me. That's just how I roll.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Anonymous9:11 PM

wtc - if that all came true that would be perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Where is Eddie? He is the recruiting hound.

    ReplyDelete
  104. "awww shucks"
Just please make it Yahoo and not, FB
    I hate FB IM's.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Anonymous9:12 PM

He was on earlier this afternoon when we were going 90mph.

    ReplyDelete
  106. WTC - 18 tomorrow. Good times.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Mon's gonna make WTC get his Yahoo on!

    ReplyDelete
  108. I think I have A LOT of faith in this staff to recruit very well. I think Chizik does also. If AU wins a few early to show the ship has been put back on course, (I am on the record stating I think we get to 6-1 or 7-0) and the recruits will see what this staff can do and come to us.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Anonymous9:15 PM

Ok, eyes are burning. Good night all.

    '04 out!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Norm, I have only 12 Saturday.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Anonymous9:16 PM

wtc - I agree with you, early part of the schedule is user friendly.

    Okidoke, now out.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I have whatever it takes to mow my lawn.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Norm-You should do the 1/2 in Montgomery in October.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'm saying 7 wins and maybe Music City. I hope they play well in those they don't win & that the highschool seniors really like what they see. I think they will.

    ReplyDelete
  115. WTC ...

You usually have to pay double for that kind of action.

    ReplyDelete
  116. wtc - I've found VERY little information available about it online. Even the website is ridiculous. I'd be interested in at least knowing the route.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I think I'd look good with locks like Man Ram. Yep. That's what I think.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Aw, that's just Norm being Norm.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I'm ready to get my ghost on! Friday night tradition. I watch Most Haunted and Greg makes fun of me!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Greg's not the only one.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I make fun of everyone. All the time.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yes, but Greg thinks I'm cute and you're just being mean.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Kids,

    Norm is telling the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  124. C'mon now, I'm not any meaner than you.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I never make fun of you.

    I'm tellin Jet on you.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Knock it off, you two.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Or what? You gonna turn this car around Jet?

    ReplyDelete
  128. i'm having flashbacks!

Jet if you say, "Girls!" I'll cry.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Strange you mention most haunter Omnica. It is my dream job. Get myself a green light. Walk around in old houses. Say I heard something or something touched me. Get paid. Sweet!!!

    ReplyDelete
