Auburn vs. Tennessee game time announced

Hey everyone. Everyone who had "night game" in the AU/UT pool is feeling mighty good about things right now.

ESPN has picked up the game and will televise it beginning at 6:45 p.m. CDT on Oct. 3. The game will be played in Neyland Stadium, a large facility that holds lots of fans, and should provide an intriguing matchup.

Tennessee's power-run game could be an issue for the Tigers' defensive front.

Auburn's multi-dimensional offense could be an issue for Tennessee's linebackers.

  5. BTW the new prototype helmet is 3-0. It's got to be the helmet ... and a focused team and coaching staff. But I'm goin with the helmet for right now.

  6. Something to consider for the Arkansas game on Oct. 10:

CBS has a doubleheader that day. That means Fox Sports gets an 11 a.m. game to go along with the regular 11 a.m. SEC Network game.

Here's your SEC lineup that weekend:
    *Auburn at Arkansas
    *Florida at LSU
    *Ole Miss at Alabama
    *Tennessee at Georgia
    *Houston at MSU
    *Kentucky at USC

I predict Auburn will be in one of those early slots that week. That's my hope.

  7. That's an awesome day of football

    THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. I've seen that oct 10th sched before, what a glorious day

  10. Pulling that classic out of the archives JAY G!

  11. My concern with Tennessee is them wearing out our linebackers. I think we are okay depth wise on the defensive line.

I am counting on us simply outscoring Tennessee.

    ReplyDelete
  12. That, Steve, is entirely possible.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Who hates pumpkins?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I will have to 2nd or third Michael's sentiment about D Adams no-look catch. Definitely one of the greatest catches I've EVER seen.

    ReplyDelete
  15. UT is going to be able to power run all over us...we just have to score more points, and against Monte im not so sure about that

    ReplyDelete
  16. We could end up playing on ESPNU for Arkansas. I bet sportswriter Tate is getting very sick of night games.

    ReplyDelete
  17. i thought you were supposed to be unusually optimistic...false advertising

  18. mytommyd - for real. When you realize where he was in his route when the ball was thrown, it just doesn't get any more precise than that. I know I haven't seen it all, but I have never seen a route like that run even in the pros. Usually timing routes involve quick stops or outs, not skinny posts 1 yard from the back of the endzone. Beautiful

Monte Kiffin > Gus Malzhan in my book.

    Experience matters.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I would pay someone $100 to play an early game on the 10th.

I need an early game there. So badly

    ReplyDelete
  21. Florida's offense isn't the same without Percy Harvey:) They rely too much on Tebow running and without a go to receiver, they had issues.

We will have to be able to pass against Tennessee and FAH may have a good game in that one.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Does ESPN have two night games planned for the Arky / AU game week? If so, I'm fairly sure ESPN gets the next two after CBS, and I would have to imagine we would make the top 4 games that week list. If ESPN only gets one game, then we will be a lock for an 11am time slot.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I missed the UT game. So all of a sudden they have a for real offense? Because for all our D's trouble, it is hard to imagine they are that far below the level of UCLA.

And I doubt UT and their fans will be as up for a game this year as they were for the Florida game.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Do you have a fancy dinner party the night of the 10th, Jay?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Jay G. that is a classic KI wonder how he really feels about Tennvols

    ReplyDelete
  26. I fly out of Tulsa at 6 a.m. the next morning.

Fayetteville to Tulsa is 2.5 hours.

If I leave the press box at 1 a.m., you can do the math. It wouldn't be a fun morning.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I really hope Ohio wears out that Tennessee team. Who am I kidding? I wish we played them this week instead of Ball State. Both teams should be rested in two weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  28. UT can run the ball at least fairly well. Their big problem is passing.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Why is everyone so worried about UT all of a sudden?

    ReplyDelete
  30. This is how I see Oct 10:

    *Auburn at Arkansas -7:00 ESPNU
    *Florida at LSU -3:30 CBS
*Ole Miss at Alabama -7:45 ESPN
    *Tennessee at Georgia -8:00 CBS
*Houston at MSU -11:00 am FoxSports
*Kentucky at USC - 11:30 SECNetwork

    ReplyDelete
  31. Michael, I thought they had two different routes going, until all of a sudden he hits to the inside and the ball is right there. AWESOME!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. their problem is named C-R-O-M-P-T-O-N.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I want an early game on the 10th too, since I'm going to a concert that night.

UT's D and it being our 1st road game has me worried about the trip up there. I know their passing game is bad, but this team hasn't played on the road yet and definately hasn't played against a D that good.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ball State @ Auburn could be the most lopsided game I've ever covered.

As far as predictions go, Clubber Lang would say: ``Pain."

    ReplyDelete
  35. UT's running game can control the clock if we don't tackle better, and make that a much shorter game for our offense.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Peter- I agree with that list except flip the Bama/Ole Miss game with the UT/UGA game.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Jay G,

Even worse than the 73-7 game vs LaMonroe?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Cause that's what we do Sean :)

I think we get the pleasure of worrying about games until November.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Problem with Tennessee hmmmm UF put up 23 on them...uhhh they ran the ball well on UF...WVU ran the ball amazingly against us...

    ReplyDelete
  40. i hope you're right. you think we hit 70? and if so, does the North EZ scoreboard short-circuit? i think the HD board could handle it, but the North one....BOOM!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am not as worried about Tennessee as I am Arakansas, even though Arkansas doesn't have a defense. We play them after Tennessee and we will likely be beat up. Arkansas is one of the teams that might match us score for score and our depth issues may come into play then.

    ReplyDelete
  42. i'm worried to death about Tennessee b/c i freakin' live here. my goodness, do i want to beat the snot outta them agai! ok, i had to get that off my chest.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Tennessee's running game is a different monster than WV. WV was all about speed and the added threat of Brown running. I will try not to have nightmares of Crompton running.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Different sort of problems, Jhag. Apples and Oranges. Florida ran all day over UT, UF's passing game is not that good, and it showed Saturday. I daresay we will matchup better offensively.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I've been looking at Ball State, and they are bad bad bad. I hope to see Caudle getting some meaningful reps early and often in that game.

    ReplyDelete
  46. oh, True, Eddie. Flip those two. Either way, Jay G's screwed with a sucktastic late postgame trip to Tulsa.

    ReplyDelete
  47. with Todd's heel/ankle or adjacent body part wounded, why not see Caudle play the entire game?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Anonymous1:39 PM

I was at that La Mo beatdown.

Michael Owens of Deshler High fame finally made the field and had a game.

First date for me and Mrs. Sensi as well.

    Good times.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I heart early away games.

Hope it works out for Ark.

    ReplyDelete
  50. BTW, HABOTN caps are now IN THE MAIL for those who didn't pick them up on saturday. you will have them for the huge BALL STATE matchup this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I will be in Fayetteville on Oct 10th also. 11:00 games are just terrible for everybody, except idiots. I could handle 2:30

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am worried about the Tenn game, but I worry about all SEC games. I don't think Tenn will bring the intensity to the Auburn game that they brought to the FLa. game. IF the BIG IF we improve on tackling we should win a close game against them.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Sensi,

I was at that La Monroe 73-7 game as well.

Me and a friend of mine tried to get a "Marshall Thornton" chant going when we got down to the goalline late in the game. He carried it once and was stopped before the endzone and someone else scored.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Auburn scored a touchdown on every possession the last time Ball State played in J-H.

Auburn's offense is better now. Ball State's defense is worse now.

    Pain.

    ReplyDelete
  55. thanks scottie...looking forward to my package.

re: living in Kville...i understand your pain, and wish braggin rights galore for you.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous1:42 PM

    Jay G.

    Speculation on crowd size?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I hate early games, but in this case I will pull for it for Jay G. Besides, I want to see some of those later games too.

    ReplyDelete
  58. is there another season when we have had more night games? i can't remember one.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Scottie,

I'm with you. Living in TN, I don't want to lose to them. Since I live on the corner of TN, GA & AL I really have three teams whose fans all live in this area.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I was at the last Ball State game as well, fun for the first few minutes... then got boring.

I feel better about the UT game than I did the WVU game. UT's running backs are more comparable to Dixon than they are two Devine, we controlled MSU's running game for most of that game.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I would love to see Caudle or Kodi get lots of snaps at QB versus Ball State. We can beat Ball State with the RFYLK offense, but not Tennessee.

    ReplyDelete
  62. JG with the crowd size humor. nice.

ANOTHER ticket alert: i'm not going to be able to go to the game this weekend. if anyone wants my tickets please let me know. i can't afford 4 straight weekends on the road. bummer. :(

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thanks Scottie B!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I personally love all the night games, even the Ball State game coming up. The night crowd is just so much better than the day crowd.

I'm bring the wife and kids for this one. Can't wait.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Wow I'm and idiot and a half. Comparable to Devine, not two Devine.

    ReplyDelete
  66. If it keeps raining, they will have to change Atlanta's name to Atlantis.

    ReplyDelete
  67. i love the night games (particularly at home), but then again I don't have to work them like JGT.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Sean- I swear somebody has built an Ark. My truck was flooded this morning. I had water in the cab. Not good. Going to the shop this afternoon. It's vibrating now.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Arkansas has announced an unprecedented 9:30 AM kickoff, just for Harrison.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I was watching a replay of Mario Fannin's TD catch on the screen play ... big block from Travante Stallworth on that play.

I had no idea he was playing.

    ReplyDelete
  71. my wife noticed that the WVU fans seemed to be "calling the hogs" at several point during the game. i had another explanation which is inappropriate to post. anyone see this and know what they were actually doing?

    ReplyDelete
  72. When WV thought they had them all covered Gus springs Fanin on them. That is waht I like about this Auburn offfense.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I'd like a day game in Fayetteville, too. That way, I can get a tad more sleep before flying home. Jay G, is it that much more expensive to fly into NW Ark?

    ReplyDelete
  74. At one point they were also doing the Gator Chomp. Do they think they are as good as Fla?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Looked like jazz hands to me, wes.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Getting from ATL to XNA is a 700-1k dollar trip.

    ReplyDelete
  77. THT and 2.0 better stay outta my way!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hello all. My boys and I are still drying out from Saturday. It was worth it for that game.

As far as the defensive challenges UT presents, my belief is that they are not in the same league as WVU by any stretch. I think WVU is the best offense AU will face all year.

Go ahead, call me a meshuggana, but barring an injury to that man-child QB and his team of fleet footed smurfs, WVU will win the Big East and dominate the rest of their 2009 opponents.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Comm'r pulling out the Yiddish.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It did look like King Kong and the Brigade of smurffs

    ReplyDelete
  81. Perhaps they thought they would stirke fear into the hearts of the Auburn faithful with the Gator champ. Evidently they also don't keep up with recent history.

I have no idea what the fans were yelling when they were doing that yelling thing. I just know their band was VERY loud. (I'm a band guy, I take notice)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  83. PF - huh? I haven't been keeping up today. I hate work. Whachootalkinbout?

    ReplyDelete
  84. oh, crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BANHAMMER ME NOW!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Oops, Fail. THT's gonna be mad.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wisner had a block that turned Fannin's big gain into a touchdown. I love how our receivers are blocking down field this year.

As far as UT's running game, I think our d tackles and Bynes are different from what we have been fielding in the past at those positions. I think they will fair much better against a traditional power running game than they did against W Va. In the past, when we had 200 lb middle linebackers, this would not have been the case.

I am more worried about their defense. In the old days, I would have said good D always gets the best of good O. In this topsy turvy world though, I am not sure. I have no idea what to expect in that game.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Also, mad props to #96 Chris Humphries. On our first kickoff, dude ran down like a mad man and demolished someone. He wasn't even going for the ball carrier. W Va figured it out and then proceeded to knock him down the next couple of kickoffs until he was finally knocked out cold. I hope he is alright.

But I rewound every kickoff and said "Check out 96! Dude has guts!" So I looked up his name, and now I have a warm spot in my heart for him. Go Chris Humphries!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Michael - I loved your 50 lb post earlier today which I just stumbled upon.

And to answer your question, we would have had to use 1,176 footballs per play for each of the 87,000 game balls to have been "official."

Now y'all excuse me while I get back to work. I'm obviously no good to HABOTN anymore. What a failure.

    ReplyDelete
  89. One thing we know is that the UT practice offense will in no way be able to replicate the speed of our offense. I think a quarter and a half of our offense will have any and every team gasping. It even eventually wore down WVU. And I think it took THEM until the 4th quarter because they get to practice against it

    ReplyDelete
  90. THT - thanks for crunching the numbers on that one. I knew I could count on you!

(of course, I don't believe in any of these numbers since I have never counted to them before, but that is a whole 'nother deal)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Gus > Monte.

Monte uses the Tampa 2, but Gus uses the South Beach 3. Works every time,

I suspect Saturday will be canktaculously ugly. Hopefully we can get a 3 TD lead and get the reserves out there. No need to use this game to build a poll resume. Regardless of UT's station in life, we'll get in the poll if we win there. The poll is not my worry.

    ReplyDelete
  92. These Auburn-W Va highlights from the auburner are hilarious/exhilarating. What a complete video:

    ReplyDelete
  93. If you look at my 50 lb post again, you will see that immediately after it, rk said, "I wouldn't care if Warren Moon said the same thing."

Now, he was in mid convo with something else, but I thought it was still pretty fitting and pretty funny. After people tell me something from now on, if they take too long, I will say, "I wouldn't care if Warren Moon said the same thing" and walk away. What a phrase!

    ReplyDelete
  94. THT ,,,

Did you call me @ home on Friday night?

Somebody rescue THT..he's about to go all low self-esteem on us. Give him a heads up on the double Beasley

Jet...canktaculously? 3 times I've considered that term and 3 times.... over my head. Can someone spell it out slowly for me?

It sure has been nice to not have to consider kicker-on-a-stick.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hoopie...
I believe jet's word is a clever derivative of the root word "cankle".

    ReplyDelete
  105. Harrison, what I said wasn't meant to be offensive. It was a compliment. When I yelled "burn", it was because I thought you would be burning with happiness that I like your sweer mustache so much I would put it in its own reality show.

I know, the internets sometimes make it hard to get your point across. My bad.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Anonymous2:45 PM

ehyou....I was thinkin cankers, but cankles is more germain to the HABOTN.

Which is uglier cankers or cankles?

  107. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  108. hoopie,

I saw you say that at one point in your life you traveled from Naples to Auburn for games. Is that a thing of the past, or do you still live down there?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Get ready for some Bammer junk. Finebaum 'callers' are throwing around that Trooper was using the 'N-Word' during the WVU game.

I don't know what he said. I don't care. I haven't heard it, but steal your nerves up for the sh*t storm acoming.

    WDE

    ReplyDelete
  110. Ummmm, Trooper's black. While I don't necessarily condone him saying that, it's not exactly the same as Tre Smith using it.

    ReplyDelete
  111. My thoughts PF. I thought the rule was it's OK for him.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Jet,
    yes. and again Sat. a.m.

Some yankee from Michigan who doesn't like the fans of the school he attends in Knoxville, and who was wearing someone else's clothes, well, I'm sure he was glad you didn't answer the phone.

  114. Love that highlight Video Michael, but people look at me funny when I try to sing along to Meatloaf songs.

    ReplyDelete
  115. What is wrong with saying Neapolitan?

    ReplyDelete
  116. If it was on the PF show, it gets no credence from me. Discussion over.

    ReplyDelete
  117. PF = PF???

Peter, are you actually Finebaum posing as a Hottie?

    ReplyDelete
  118. umm...meatloaf. navy beans, navy beans, navy beans.

regarding the race issues, i will have to consult with my heritage and get back with you.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Why does Chizz keep saying 87,000? doesn't he know how many J-H holds?

    ReplyDelete
  120. He's just rounding to the nearest thousandth, jhag. I'm all for brevity.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I would rather him say 88k =(

    ReplyDelete
  122. except in your 50 pounder, right?

    ReplyDelete
  123. I just learned AU Women's soccer team visited the Southern Part of Heaven and battled to a draw against the storied UNC Women's soccer team yesterday. Unfortunately, I spent the day on I-85 and didn't get to see the match. Congrats to the AU ladies!!!

There were a lot of rumors yesterday that Troop dropped the N-bomb during pre-game warmups in a brotherhood type manner. I would prefer such didn't happen...causes too much confusion.

I wouldn't doubt that the Bammers are jumping on it.

    This too shall pass.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Hoopie I have heard that...Do you post on TD?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Anonymous3:19 PM

JHAg...I swing thru TD once a week. I know you are there a lot, but the banter is too young for my taste. It was also on AUN and the Scout free site.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yeah, all people do is argue...it gets very annoying but they all know their stuff...whats your username?

    ReplyDelete
  129. Anonymous3:38 PM

JHag...If I posted, it would be as Hoopie. I just read a few threads that interest me and don't even know if I have ever posted.

Ya won't see "Hoopie" on Al.com. He got banhammered in 2007 when he recounted a first-hand account of a drunk Bear Bryant. The Bammer-controlled Al.com mafia promptly banned Hoopie.

    ReplyDelete
  130. drunk Bear Bryant? why Hoopie, how could you? anarchy!!!!

i can't help but give u a big WDE when i drive by Cartersville. you, and Ronnie B. :)

    ReplyDelete
  131. Well they have to find something to get on us about.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Everytime I'm going to Atlanta, I have to point out that Cartersville (home of the Purple Hurricane) is where Ronnie Brown is from.

    ReplyDelete
  133. the Purple Hurricane? really? cool.

now i get to point out Kennesaw, GA, home of AU leading receiver DARVIN ADAMS!!!! i lived with my aunt & uncle for a year after graduation in kennesaw. good times.

    ReplyDelete
  134. but RK, when you do it you've gotta yell it out like Jim Fyffe used to do. 'HELLO CARTERSVILLE, GEORGIA!!!!' that's what i do anyways. my wife just rolls her eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Scottie B - do they still have the law there that you must own a gun?

    ReplyDelete
  136. hope not. i'd be in violation. miss scottie no likey guns.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Yes Ronnie Brown's HS team name is the Purple Hurricane.

    ReplyDelete
  138. That's strange, Fitzgerald is also the Purple Hurricanes. I didn't realize it was that popular of a mascot in GA.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Scottie B -- How fired up is the Hornet that the UT game is a night game???? Next weekend has "potential" -- and I'm bringing my gun so warn Mrs B (I really want to fit in in TN)

    ReplyDelete
  140. hornet-then don't bathe or wear shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  141. wait....Wes, u talking bout me homes??????

j/k. i'm not from here so i'm cool. there are some i know, though....kinda scary.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Hornet, you down for a little Vol Navy action?

oh, and are you staying with me?

    ReplyDelete
  143. Wes - the presence of 32 teeth in my head hurts my cause as well

Scottie -- I'm staying with the west coast cowboy...but I'm definitely joining the Navy

    ReplyDelete
  144. By the way, just a word of advice, never order anything from FYE.com.

I pre-ordered the Beatles stereo box set in August for the 9/9 release. I still haven't gotten it and it's on back order and they might not have it in the next 30 days.

I wrongly assumed if I pre-ordered something that it reserved it for me and it wouldn't go on back order.

    ReplyDelete
  145. i have a feeling it's gonna get ugly up here in east tennessee next weekend.

protect all your women & children.

    ReplyDelete

  148. If there are HOTTIES on the water in Knoxville, I'd gladly join you ... even if it's for a few minutes.

    I'll even bring goodies.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Now Hoopie, you should never accuse Bear Bryant of being drunk. Every state trooper in the state of Alabama back then knew Bear wasn't drunk. I believe it was official departmental policy.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Will you settle for a corndog in Columbia, Jay?

The C-ville Purple Hurricane is hurting this year. We've made the playoffs 10 of the last 11 years. The only year we didn't was when we moved up to 3A. We're spoiled and won't make the playoffs this year. A lot of the football talent now gets siphoned off to play only baseball at the HS level and it is catching up with us.

    Fitzgerald is the Purple Hurricanes(plural).

My Dad was a Bammer. I was a kid and witnessed the inebriation after a gathering in Bham. This was around 1967.

  155. I like how Rece Davis was talking about how positive of a week it was for the ACC with Va. Tech beating Nebraska and FSU taking apart BYU. True enough I suppose, but he neglected to say that MTSU beat Maryland and Southern Miss beat Virginia. No surpise at that last one, but the fact remains that ACC schools have lost to at least four non-BCS schools that I know of, and two of those were 1-AA.

The ACC needs the U to win its next two games against Va. Tech and Oklahome...badly.

  157. Anyone hear Trooper Taylor drop the "N" word (allegedly) on ESPN last Saturday?

Finebaum has the UAT villagers out with the pitch forks and they are looking for Trooper.

  158. Yep, Bammers are beginning to worry.

E Bro...Methinks the ACC is teetering and will fall into mediocrity again.

  160. FBomb always uses the Racial thing to fire people up, and get a bunch of callers in to sound so stupid.

It doesn't surprise me at all that he is making a big deal out of it.

  161. Wade, I tried. I really did. I just can't care too much about Troop dropping the N word.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I thought I heard Troop say that, but figured there was no way ESPN would show that (because it was a taped segment) if he really did say that. But yes, it did sound like he used that word.

  163. BEASLEY!!!BEASLEY!!!

    Double your Beasley!!!

  164. Words don't kill people, people do. Context matters too, so will somebody tell Finebaum to please STFU in the nicest way possible.

    ReplyDelete
  165. well, that only made me feel a wee bit better, but I guess that's better than not feeling a wee bit better.

  166. steve, my thoughts are if the players don't care why should anyone els.

  167. I hate night games, I hate espn, not too fond of TN. Oughta be a lot of fun that weekend. I just hope the ARK game doesn't wind up on espnu; that's the only network that carries sec games that isn't HD on DTV.

I'm thinking now that it will be week 8 before we play a ranked team. If you have to beat a ranked team to deserve to be ranked, we may have a long wait. Guess it doesn't really matter.

I think our defense can deal with TN much better than they did WV. I feel much more optimistic today about our season for some reason. I said before the season started that I thought we had better first string players than 8 of the teams we would play. Anybody agree with me now?

    ReplyDelete
  168. Which four teams have better players in you opinion?

    ReplyDelete
  169. I think our D can deal with UT better than WVU, but I think the UT D can also deal with us much better than anyone we've faced yet.

    Plus it's on the road.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Agreed RK, I would imagine that our defensive plan for UT will be similar to WVU's plan against us. Stop the run and make 'em pass to beat us.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Our offensive strategy will be to stay away from #14.

    ReplyDelete
  172. If UT does stop the run and we have to beat them with the pass, probably gonna be a long night for our offense. I don't want to HAVE to throw to win against Eric Berry and that Tampa 2 secondary.

  173. You crackers need to lighten up on the N-word. It is actually one of the funniest words in the world. Want proof?

  174. If anyone is interested, I'm trying to sell my Ball State, Ole Miss, and Furman tickets. I can't go to the Ole Miss game and really can't afford to travel for the others. Make me an offer if you're interested.

  175. Jay G, I met a former Advertiser man today. I was in Tallassee Tribune and met with Mr. Kevin Taylor. Auburn Graduate. Good man.

  176. Eddie's Bro,

That's why that game scares me.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Schofunk,

How many tickets do you have for each game?

    ReplyDelete
  178. Anonymous5:56 PM

I feel better about our chances to beat Ark than UT. Our offense is as good as UGA and our defense is better.

    ReplyDelete
  179. IV,

I have a pair for each game

    ReplyDelete
  180. At this point I think we are better than Georgia. I also think Arkansas is better than Tennessee, but it would be one of the weirdest games ever. A great offense meets a great defense, while a crappy offense meets a crappy defense.

Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor were young in that vid...

Would the PC police even allow that vid now?

    ReplyDelete
  182. Probably not. Is is sad because people take life way to seriously these days. It ain't like it's life or death, or maybe it is.

    ReplyDelete
  183. No, I don't think that skit will be allowed today.

    ReplyDelete
  184. So close to turning the page...

    ReplyDelete
  185. I was just looking at SEC statistics. Did you know that Chris Todd has the two longest touchdown passes of the year so far? Of course, we all know they didn't travel too far in the air, but would you have penciled his name in for that or any related statistic at the start of the year?
