The first was a question about how Auburn is making things look easy on the field. Chizik's answer to that query became my Monday story. Check it below.
The second was a question from West Virginia about how Chizik overcame his Iowa State struggles. He replied that it was a "long time ago" (less than 10 months) and that he doesn't get validation from the outside world.
He may someday get paid because of that validation he claims to eschew. His contract provides substantial bonuses based on where his team finishes in polls (as judged by "outsiders") and if he wins a major coaching award (as judged by "outsiders"). Outside validation is worth up to $200,000 per year for Gene Chizik.
Chizik may not care about that, but his investment banker may have a different opinion.
Here's the Auburn situation at this moment:

How y'all are?
ReplyDeleteI am good. How are you ehyou?
ReplyDeleteThat was insanely fast, ehyou.
ReplyDeleteWas it, dare I say....nevermind.
ReplyDeleteYes sir
ReplyDeleteWe got work to do, folks!
ReplyDeleteehyou- tip of the hat, you were way too fast on that one, I deleted my substance comment, because it lacked.
ReplyDeleteJay G- Good point about outside validation.
Eddie: I wish I had thought about that validation b.s. in real time.
ReplyDeleteI'll discuss it with him at some point and let you know what he says.
Jay G- You need to ask him what a first place vote is worth to him.....just kidding.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't want validation. He wants ... CASH!
ReplyDeleteSat nite on the Plains...
ReplyDeleteThe Couch Burners
VS
Ted "The Roof is on Fire"
In Chiz's defense, just because he gets paid for something doesn't mean it is what brings him validation. I imagine his attitude is to do the best he can and whatever escalators come at the end of the season will come. It's not like he can sit around and focus on that stuff. At least I hope he isn't. I hope he is just trying to take things ***cliche alert*** one game at a time.
ReplyDeleteOf course. Cash. He needs more CASH!
ReplyDeleteHave they decided between ESPN or ESPN 2 for the game this weekend yet?
ReplyDeleteAlso have they decided a kickoff time for the Ball State game?
Norm, thanks for the luv, you didn't miss me though. i made it in time to grab a drink and head to the stadium. i've never cut it that close before.
ReplyDeleteESPN 2 RK.
ReplyDeleteMichael, I think you're right.
ReplyDeleteLet's remove his current bonus clauses and replace them with similar payouts for when Jonna and the kids vote him "Dad of The Year." Or when Jay Boulware votes Chizik as Mentor of The Year.
RK: Ball State time will be announced today. I'm expecting an afternoon kickoff.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteJ-Zhag's contract is paid in peanut butter cookies. Unfortunately, he's paid for achievements in Cornhole.
ReplyDeleteThe cookies are safe.
I think Norm will agree.
michael...
ReplyDeleteAt tailgate stops we were making folks guess who we were. We gave a hint for JZ as "kinda crazy". They promptly responded "michael".
Can I put a request for an 11:21 kick on Ball State? It's the Stewardess' 16th birthday.
ReplyDeleteAbout my only chance to get to go to the game would be the early onnce.
Eddie: Ouch.
ReplyDeleteJet: I'm thinking 1, 2 or 3 p.m.
ReplyDeleteJay, just speaking for me, at the end of the work year I get a review. Based on how my bosses think I do, I will get a raise. They do the whole "exceeds expectations, meets expectations, blah blah" review sheet for a bunch of different categorties, and that basically spits out what my raise will be.
ReplyDeleteDo I get validation from that? No. Sometimes I disagree with what is on that sheet, and when I do I let my supervisor know. Yet the sheet basically represents money to me, just like the escalators in Chiz's contract. So like Chizik, though the outside world gives me money based on how they think I do, I don't get validation from them. I know how I am doing.
I know some people do need second party validation. I know my wife does. To others it is not so important.
ehyou: they should have known I am not "kinda crazy", but more "completely crazy"
ReplyDeleteAll I said is that Chizik (potentially) banks cash money based on the outside validation he apparently finds worthless.
ReplyDeleteI was just pointing out the irony. I didn't call him a liar.
Yeah, I think I will delete that. Bad Form on my part.
ReplyDeleteJet, I also hope it's that early kick...that way I can watch the game then go see Buddy Guy in Birmingham that night.
ReplyDeletei was pickin' up what you were puttin' down JG.
ReplyDeleteI-ron-y!
ReplyDeleteI-ron-ah!
I-ron-y!
I-ron-nah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
I am not calling you a liar caller, Jay. Just showing how those statements don't contradict each other, as I am sure some of the less cognitively powerful Hotties were incapable of seeing without my help. Jay, I am just here to help. You know that.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Hot-n-Tots!! I have a solution for out Special Teams "situation" as far as punt returners go... dont use them. Just tell everyone to get out of the way and let the ball land where it may. That way the offense gets to pile up more yards per game and set more records...brilliant!
ReplyDeleteIm still working on our punting and covering punts "situations".
FYI:
ReplyDeleteAntonio Coleman has been named the SEC's Defensive Lineman of the Week.
AUBigCat, work on the kickoff return coverage too.
ReplyDeleteI don't see the big problem with special teams. Fannin made a great special teams tackle on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteOf course he was on the return team, but heck of a tackle keeping the returner from getting yardage.
Jay G- Who is SEC Freshman of the Week and Offensive player of the week?
ReplyDeleteFreshman: Trent Richardson. Had the same numbers as McCalebb.
ReplyDeleteOffensive: The Genius of Gainesville.
Great articles today, Jay.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope that the Ball State game is at 1:30, the time that Shug said football was meant to be played. I'll go if there is a 1:30 kickoff. Night games just don't work for me anymore.
BigCat, I like your punt return plan.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay G.
ReplyDeleteIf I had only seen a topless preseason picture of McCaleb, I could have made predictions better.
I often got validated on paper but no cash cometh forward. If there is no profit for the big boys the worker bees get no honey. I hope Cizik continues to focus on the team and it's progress and the cash will follow. If he starts to worry about what the talking heads and the spreader of ink say he will then become a SABANATOR and start yelling at everyone.
ReplyDeleteFrom JAy G's article:
ReplyDelete---
"I was real pleased there wasn't a woe-is-me (attitude)," Roof said. "I didn't see that look on their face after they fell behind. We just kept playing and had faith in one another and faith in our offense, faith in the special teams, faith in our football team, that we'd find a way to win."
---
I'll bet a lot of that confidence on D comes from confidence in the offense. It must be nice to know that there is all of a sudden some margin for error on the defensive side of the ball.
Roof's best line was from the other day when he was talking about they have a margin for error since the offense can put points on the board.
ReplyDeleteA big problem we've had in recent years is there hasn't been much room for a defensive mistake because we couldn't score points. The D could never play loose or take chances because you couldn't afford to give up a big play.
I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, but Chizik has cleared up(somewhat), the Cam Henderson situation. Last I heard, he had not provided the same sort of clarification on Antoine Carter. Can we assume this means Carter sees the field at some point this year, or is his status still to be determined? I am not asking for details on what caused the suspension(?), only what his status is for the rest of the year.
ReplyDeleteAnybody hear if they plan to put Mr Rollison on a redshirt? How late can they wait to do that if they decide to redshirt him?
ReplyDeleteI think WERK and Michael call each other before they post
ReplyDeleteRK that is exactly why xCTT sat on leads. I cant say I blame him and with the D that he typically had, it often worked. However, I like this FAH offense we have now. It's like those Dave and Buster commercials. I never knew I was suppose to let my fun watch the offense play! It was so use to only watching the D.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Rollison is already prepared to be redshirted.
ReplyDeleteNo need to play him at this point unless there were some injuries.
BigCat,
ReplyDeleteI think Tommy was too conservative to the point it probably did some damage to us recruiting skill position players on offense.
It worked a lot of the time as we won some ugly games.
That's what I was thinking RK. Give him the eligibility time. If he can do what he does, in this offense, I have a feeling he may be that combination Coach Mahlz was hoping for to keep the non sub offense on the field.
ReplyDeleteWERK you already have your Buddy Guy tickets?
ReplyDeleteYeah. I ordered them in August when they went on sale.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to a show at Stephens Center?
ReplyDeleteHot Carter, officially, is injured. Any talk of suspensions is conjecture ... which I have been known to engage in.
ReplyDeleteNever been there before. Don't think I've even heard of it before.
ReplyDeleteI've been to the big BJCC arena for shows before (Clapton a couple of years ago & Allman Brothers and Widespread Panic next month.)
RK Tommy did work hard to lose his Riverboat Gambler title didnt he?
ReplyDeleteBills vs. Patriots
ReplyDeleteChargers vs. Raiders
Any predictions?
"You don't have to gamble when you have players"
ReplyDeletePatriots and Chargers by double digits.
Conject! Conject!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mr Tate. Your honesty is much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteWERK - Jemison Concert Hall @ the Alys Stephens Center is the PERFECT place to see Buddy Guy. It's built exactly like the Jazz hall here at Marshall University. Not a bad seat, perfect acoustically, etc. I saw Buddy Guy here once and it's the best venue I've seen him in. You'll really enjoy it. I may even be there myself. Not sure yet.
ReplyDeleteJemison Concert Hall virtual tour
Morning, Hotties!
ReplyDeleteWent to the game Saturday and had a great time. Our team is so much fun to watch.
Related to the video that Jay posted yesterday (?), I love hearing players who sound like coaches. Think Kodi might ever coach at AU?
Mon,
ReplyDeleteThat place looks really nice
We have tickets in the balcony. I think our plan is if the Auburn game is an early game is to go to Auburn, then drive back up to B-ham for the show.
Is the place easy to find?
We saw Buddy Guy back in June in Atlanta, but the Chastain Park curfew cut his set short.
I rarely pull for Florida.
ReplyDeleteI will be Saturday.
if you all haven't seen the UGA-USC game i recommend watching it. it has been a highly entertaining first half. they've got a FAH guy in #1 (can't remember his name). he took a reverse 50+ yards for a TD. blazing speed.
ReplyDeleteme too ehyou. GO GATORS! i still haven't got my AU-UT tickets left. hopefully UF will beat them by 3-4 TD's and drop ticket prices for us. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't know about you guys, but i can't wait to see some of the stuff we'll have installed by the end of the year. Most of our passing plays have been very simple. The deep plays are usually only one man routes. Very nice having Cerebro running the offense. We haven't had X's and O's working for us in a long time.
ReplyDeleteehyou & scottie - I NEVER pull for UF or UAT to win. However, there have been times when I've pulled for their opponent to lose. Try that and see if it works for you.
ReplyDeleteWERK - It's not hard to find at all. It's on the UAB campus and there's good parking across the street. Cincy can tell you what traffic is like this week between B'ham and Auburn. Depending on if you take 280 back to B'ham or I85/I65 back will determine how you get to campus obviously.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun watching Kiffin's team choke on their own mediocrity. The former UF fan in my wants the beatings to continue for the Volunteers.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else think UGA might be in trouble @ Ark this weekend?
Re: MNF, Pats and Chargers roll...
Sean- I think UGA is in big trouble.
ReplyDeleteI would have never guessed that UGA would have won the way that they did last weekend.
I think Willy Martinez (UGA DC) is very quickly sealing his fate for this year.
ReplyDeleteThe problem for UGA is their defense is still suspect. I'm not sure about Arkansas but getting into a shootout with Bob Petrino is never a good thing.
ReplyDeleteGeaux Saints
ReplyDeleteBuckeye fans jumping off the 16th Street bridge into the Ohio River by the 100's here in Huntington.
ReplyDeleteWell thats a start Mon!
ReplyDeleteI love it when College Football fans decided to cull themselves. Just like the lemmings, it makes it easier on everyone. And less expensive.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Coast Guard is on the WV side of the banks of the Ohio just watching.
ReplyDeleteIs there any video footage of WVU this year so I can get myself all worried about what we're going to be facing Saturday?
ReplyDeleteA little WVU video for Tommy
ReplyDeleteThank ya Mon
ReplyDelete"Yeah, the Coast Guard is on the WV side of the banks of the Ohio just watching."
ReplyDeletethat's pretty funny Monnie.
Has there been a final word as to whether or not we are on ESPN or the Deuce?
ReplyDeletesomeone posted earlier it was on ESPN2.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the video JGT.
ReplyDeleteI love me some Ted Roof. He is
1. Cool
2. Calm
3. Collected
Our defense got their butts worn out in practice trying to keep up with the offense which is paying big dividends. I saw it in the 4th Qtr of both games. Our Defense looked fresher...somebody else's butts were getting worn out!
The official Auburn website has it on ESPN 2
ReplyDeleteWe all have that "feel good" moment during a game. Mine came just before half time when we saved time on the clock got the ball and scored before half time. The new era has started and we are gonig to play ball for sixty minutes. Then in the last quarter with a comfortable lead we keep pushing it on offense and score some more. This team means business.
ReplyDeleteThe first two games what we've done right before the half has been huge in getting momentum for the 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteAfter years of just letting the clock run out before the half, it's been fun to watch.
i think Coach Boulware needs to watch this UGA/USC film to see how to return kickoffs. unreal how many big returns there were.
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced that if there is time to run a play, we will take our shot downfield. I love that feeling.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if we could get a sure handed punt returner that can properly make the catch. That is going to cost us if we don't get it corrected.
ReplyDeleteSpecial Teams definitely need Special attention.
ReplyDeleteOne other thing to note: Ben Tate is not FAH but he can motor. Give him a little run and is is gone.
you're so right Eddie. the punt returns have been the only worrisome parts i have seen so far.
ReplyDeleteBen really impressed me on that long TD run. having him slow down and wait for the blockers to set up their blocks, then he excelled through that hole. most impressive.
ReplyDeleteAuburn getting love by CFN Rankings.
ReplyDeleteKind of scary.
Auburn Ranked #11
That is a bit high but each year there are teams that come out of no where and move on up the ladder. I hope this is Auburn's year to continue to climb.
ReplyDeleteI've heard Auburn- Ball State is a 6pm CST on Fox Sports Net
ReplyDeletedigger,
ReplyDeleteTate's TD run was my feel-good moment of this game. Seeing Big Snacks and Isom nail their assignments and then watch Tate accelerate through the hole was worth a few DVR instant replays... "Hey honey, you have GOT to see this. Watch #66 make his guy bounce backwards..."
My feel good moment was watching the scoreboard short circuit when we hit 49, apparently it couldn't handle a score of that size, at least on the Auburn side.
ReplyDelete56 points would've caused AU HD overload fo shizzle Eddie.
ReplyDeleteI have been all around impressed with Ben Tate this year. The one clear difference to me is the yards after contact. He has gone down much faster in the past. He has always been capable of turning the burners on once he gets about 9 yards down the field. But he is running so stinking strong this year, getting those extra 2-4 yards after contact that can make or break a series.
ReplyDeleteHe has also always had the patience... which proved deadly with last year's sieve of an offensive line. Whereas Fannin's hit-the-hole-hard approach was optimal last year, Tate's style is perfect this year since there are actually holes to run in. I noticed Fannin getting ahead of his blockers a time or two Saturday.
lowcountry, the way that opened up from my low seat in the end zone, it looked like a sherman tank could have run through it. But tate would have beaten it to the endzone
ReplyDeleteThe thing Tate does that Lester would never do, is Tate waits for his blocks to get set up. That long TD on Saturday was a great example of that.
ReplyDeleteI finally watched the 1st episode of Auburn Football Everyday, what a great show.
there were several disbelievers when i suggested Tate to have 1,200+ yards and ALL-SEC cred this year. that's sure lookin' good so far, eh?
ReplyDeleteit's truly amazing we've got 2 of the top 10 rushers in the NCAA so far.
I'll miss the Ball State game and have to watch it when I get home if it's going to be a late kickoff.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else getting uncomfortable with the amount of love Auburn is getting from John Longshore, Doug Amos, and others on 740?
ReplyDeleteThe worst punt return was when it looked like we might have a return set up and Fannin made the tackle on Washington.
ReplyDeleteScottie- I aggreed with you about Tate preseason, but i'll be really impressed if they both stay in the top Ten after week 6.
ReplyDeleteSensi- Part of the plan so that when we lose a game, Chizik can blame us, when he told us along what our expectations should be, and that was a rough season.
ReplyDeleteI think our offense's first big challenge will be on the road vs a very good D in Knoxville. We'll know a whole lot more about this O that day.
ReplyDeletemy favorite play of the game was then Todd lofted a ball along the right sideline towards two defenders and i thought for sure it was going to be picked, then T-Zac cut in front of both, lept, and wrestled it away. what a tremendous difference a year makes.
ReplyDeleteand who would've thought Darvin Adams would have the start he's had?
I look forward to being cursed and chewed by the coach. As I understand, that's when you know your program has arrived.
ReplyDeleteehyou ... nice avater. I'm assuming you know that he was a stand up comic once upon a time. I have some of his old albums.
ReplyDeleteAdams had a couple of bad drops Saturday, but he has still made plenty of money plays. I thought Todd looked better than his numbers showed.
ReplyDeleteI gar-on-tee!!
ReplyDeleteI was aware, but have never heard any of them. I did thoroughly enjoy the jokes he told during the show though.
When I saw Adams drop the ball, all I heard in my head was "NO DROPS!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis WVU game on TV?
ReplyDeleteCharlie Weis is tops on coaches hot seat today. I can't believe he supplanted Al Groh.

What's the status of PPL aka "Frenchy"? I haven't seen or heard anything about him.
ReplyDeleteAuburn / WVU is on ESPN2
ReplyDeleteSensi- I guess they already know that Virginia has negotiated a deal with Tubs, therefore nothing to worry about with Groh being on the hot seat. Groh must have fallen off when the Cavalier rider fell off.
Feng strikes!
ReplyDeletefeng has been the difference in this season
ReplyDeleteWar Damn Feng
A reunion of the BBQ Men at Jefferson's place? Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteCrank up the DMB, grab your ascots, and get ready for Tubs return!
wdf!!!!
ReplyDelete"Do the right thing is smart to do should not do is ignorance."
Now that should be the quote on the front page.
Malzahn is right thing to do offense Chizik is hiring smart to do thing today.
ReplyDeleteMichael has the FengFungus
ReplyDeleteI have been hiding something about my family. It is time to admit that Feng is actually my dad. We talk to each other in code here at HABOTN. All my nonsense posts are meant for Feng/dad. I love you dad.
ReplyDeleteHow in the world are we going to hang onto Malzahn? You know somebody's gonna offer him a head job.
ReplyDeleteehyou- Don't worry about it, just enjoy the ride.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction: Trooper Taylor is going to be calling plays for us in the National Championship game this year.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard not to think about the future Eddie. If we can keep this up, we'll have a recruiting avalanche on our hands. What youngster wouldn't want to play in this offense?
ReplyDeleteThis kid wouldn't want to play in this offense, ehyou. But he hates everything
ReplyDeleteIsn't that Saban's super kicker who will kick off one of the 4 stars from this year?
ReplyDeleteDoes that kid have a paper route by chance?
ReplyDeletePaper routes, do those still exist?
ReplyDeleteAnd what kid wouldn't want to be a part of the linebacking corps? I tell ya what, if the D keeps this up and we get some national exposure, there are going to be some people that work to get to Auburn. And Chizik and Co. aren't going to let someone else get to 'em before they get their limo to the kid's high school.
ReplyDeleteThey do still exist but just on Sim games.
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh heartily:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSEaHyzbqTA
I think mytommy is trying to speak in feng :)
ReplyDeleteGet a job you dirty hippies.
ReplyDeleteAuburn's offense has gone from 104th to 4th in one season. That has to be some kind of record for improvement. That, coupled with a defense that has consistently been highly ranked should mean good things are ahead for us.
ReplyDeleteI'd be shocked if the trees could actually understand what she was saying.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting more and more antsy about the West Virginia game this weekend...that Noel Devine runs like a greased midget.
ReplyDeleteA greased midget is smart if a good smart still exist in Feng.
ReplyDeleteSteve...we are ranked 4th two games into the season. If we are ranked 4th 12 games into the season, then yes it's an amazing turn around.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with the stats as well, however let's see how we do vs upper level competition before we get too carried away.
For two games we have played about as good as you can wish for...let's keep it going for the next 10.
MJT - just watched that video. You have to be #$%^* kidding me.
ReplyDeleteFear not, Sean.
ReplyDeleteAll is well.
I can't believe anyone has us ranked 11th. We have beaten teams that any of the top 25 should beat. We need to beat someone that is close to the top 25 to earn that kind of credibility.
ReplyDeleteI know the last couple of years changed expectations, but what we've done vs LaTech and Miss State this year are exactly what an Auburn team should do to LaTech and Miss State.
ReplyDeleteMaybe our success is just due to the fact we haven't been in a Lincoln Financial early game this year. I hate early games. We are night dwellers.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how our defense will hold up against a good passing offense.
ReplyDeleteDo what you have to do when you are suppose to do it
ReplyDeleteOnly then can you
Do what you want to do when you want to do it.
That really was the bad thing about the last two years. When Auburn takes the field against an inferior opponent, then they should blow them off the field.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend's game will tell us a big more, but should we win that puts us in a great place going into a tough road schedule.
Ranked 11th is a power rating due to stats only, not sensibility.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we end up dominating WVU this weekend, will we all be writing "Well truth be told they really only beat Liberty and ECU, so we SHOULD have beaten them like that. I guess the REAL test will be @Tennessee".
ReplyDeleteHopefully sometime before December we'll find out if we're good or not.
We'll know if this offense is for real in Knoxville. Their D is still really good.
ReplyDeleteWell UT obviously is not going to be the real test, it will be in that it's a road SEC game and those are tough BUT they're not that good.
ReplyDeleteBTW...Eddie...congrats...you prolly picked closer to actual the score than anyone I remember.
ReplyDeleteAU-WVA will be a high scoring game. Tired Ds in the 4th qtr will lead to a scoring flurry. Offensive creativity and defensive depth in the 4th qtr may determine the winner. 38-35...last team to score wins.
WERK, that's assuming UF leaves any of that defense with any kind of hopes and dreams. I smell a crushing defeat on the horizon for the Volunteers.
ReplyDeleteI would hope that our D is better than Liberty and ECU.
ReplyDeleteThe talent they have on D and with Eric Berry as their leader, I don't think their D quits.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't quit last year and they had no offense at all last year.
I say Florida beats UT 42-13 and that's just due to Florida having this one circled on their calendar since December.
ReplyDeleteWe should be able to score points as long as we keep away from OL injuries. I'm sure there is a lot of playbook left to open up as needed.
ReplyDeleteThe aspect of defensive depth/injuries still has me holding my breath. We seem to be subbing on D regularly, hopefully that explains the inconsistencies.
My guess is that the coaches go easy on the players this week to save energy and then work 'em hard next week prior to Ball St. That is a good setup for the UT game.
Thanks Hoopie, i've been close the first two weeks, I had the La Tech game at 38-17 and State 41-14. This week, i'm still thinking about, but I think there will be alot of points on the board when it's all finished. I don't think WVU is a pushover by any means. I agree with RK, the first good DEF Au will face will be UT.
ReplyDeleteNo matter the line....I'm picking UF to cover over UT although I want UT to win. I never pull for Bama or UF. UF-Bama game?...I hope they both lose.
ReplyDeleteHi Hotties,
ReplyDeleteBall State is a 6:00 pm kickoff.
Been busy... hope you are all well!
Daughter's Sweet 16 party vs. Ball State. The decisions one must make.
ReplyDeleteJet, you should have thought of that before you decided to have a kid in the fall. Bad form.
ReplyDeleteNone of my kids have fall birthdays. And if they did, we would celebrate it in the spring! That's even sillier than a fall wedding. At least the wedding will just ruin one year. Your daughter's birthday has probably ruined countless football weekends. Good grief!
Five consecutive night games. ugh.
ReplyDelete6PM there is 4AM here.
(It's not like I sleep anyways but I can always use an excuse to whine)
What is the line on Daughter's Sweet 16 party vs. Ball State?
ReplyDeleteMichael is, as usual, the resident voice of reason and logic here on Sportswriter Tate's HABOTN. Thank you good sir.
ReplyDeleteJet
ReplyDeleteYa'll can come here and celebrate the birthday well before the game starts.
Get on his @$$HAT Michael...yeah Jet what were ya thinkin'.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction: Jet sends the Tx to ElTurbo and enjoys sweet 16 while constantly slipping away to the game.
Jet.....the better the auto you purchase for the Stewardess, the better chance you can negotiate the party timing to accomodate game attendance....jus' sayin'.
Hi everyone! Enjoyed meeting Digger, Kristina, ehyou, j-z, Norm and Jet at our tailgate. And my husband was quite relieved, he said no one looked like an axe murderer.
ReplyDeletej-z was a perfect gentleman - did you know he likes peanut butter cookies? My daughter is the baker of the most wonderful cookies in the world!
IV, you'll have to get them to tell you about cornhole. Got my orange bags today!!
or is it ax?
ReplyDeleteSteve, I think it just goes to show how much stock the media puts in high-powered offenses.
ReplyDeleteScooter Berry and Reed Williams are day-to-day for WVU. They were injured in the first half against ECU.
ReplyDeleteCincy - regardless of the spelling, I'm not a murderer. Now, as for j-z, the same cannot be said. Especially if you've seen the video Michael posted.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice meeting you and yours too. Thanks for being gracious as we crashed your place.
Eddie - What was your score?
ReplyDeleteJet, i say buy the girl a car and get your butt to the game. she'll forgive you....if she wants car insurance too!
ReplyDeleteThose were some mighty fine cookies Miss Cincy. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteDaughter's Sweet 16 party by 16.
ReplyDeleteBall State is terrible.
Cincy, glad you got your cornhole bag issue resolved.
ReplyDeletemy mom bought me one of those AU redneck golf sets. it's pretty fun. i was going to make a cornhole set for the house but haven't gotten there yet.
