Officials at the University of Tennessee have informed Auburn Athletics that Tiger fans will be allowed to greet the team as they get off the bus, but that the band and cheerleaders may not participate because of safety and crowding concerns in the visiting team dropoff area, which is on a hill in a very tight space."
SUBSTANCE!!
ReplyDeleteI think they realized that people will show up no matter what they say.
ReplyDeleteIs it still substance when no one is around to hear it?
ReplyDeleteYes. I wasn't here to hear it but it still counts
ReplyDeleteWill Mr. Tate respond to reports that he will accompany Todd Blackledge on his "Taste of the Town" feature visit, as well as have a private meeting with E.A. as a part of ESPN's recruitment of the well known Montgomery-based, Iowa-hating blogger?
ReplyDeleteIowa, do they play football???? or Hockey and girls Soccer.
ReplyDeleteIowa lost to Gene Chizik's team at Iowa State.
ReplyDeleteThat's an exclusive club.
Jet: I have no comment on that matter.
ReplyDeleteThe Vols suck. This Tiger Walk will be the best and loudest in quite a while due to them making a scene about. I can't wait to be there to greet the team.
ReplyDeleteWow. Jay G just cut Iowa down big time. I love it.
ReplyDeleteJay G ...
ReplyDeleteAny truth that the Gannettoids are going to transfer you to the Des Moines paper due to your love for all things Iowa?
Did Iowa even beat Penn State? I don't get all the fuss.
ReplyDeleteThis Iowa situation is getting closer the the BC head coaching situation JGT.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'
Well it could be worse Jet...
ReplyDeleteThey could transfer Jay to Baton Rouge to cover LSU..
AU1, so you want me to stop with the Iowa stuff?
ReplyDeleteFSJ- or Tennessee.
ReplyDeleteI love the Iowa stuff and I hope Jay G keeps letting us know what he experiences as an AP Voter. I love this stuff.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Eddie.
ReplyDeleteNot at all!! I think it is flipping hilarious, just like the HC situation.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that people are actually emailing you in week 4 cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteI can appreciate their dedication as long as it is civil....some it seems haven't been.
so what if our band and fans just "ignore" this? can we be stopped. HELL NO and it ain't over now. Was it over when the Bammers bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell No, and it ain't over now.
ReplyDeleteI think JGT should invite ikarl to become a hottie and keep us informed of all things Iowaian.
ReplyDeletedigger - I think ikarl would be very confused of the kindness and would think there is some conspiracy behind it.
ReplyDeleteTrue that AU But if we have a FAKER why not have a Shaker er Cornshuker.
ReplyDeleteWell I wasn't so kind to Ikarl. Maybe I should have been.
ReplyDeleteI don't need UT telling me not to show up for Tiger Walk. In the interest of AU football, I avoid them like the plague.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't even notice too busy eating that corn thru the picket fence
ReplyDeleteHow many times will Mark May say "Bottom Line."
ReplyDeleteAnyone checking out the Hawaii @ La Tech game tonight?
ReplyDeleteI will watch some of it
ReplyDeleteListening to Holyz is going to be tough.
ReplyDeleteI was watching the Ball State game again on Sports South, but I'll switch over to pull for La. Tech.
ReplyDeleteLou Holtz spews like J-Z at a Scoutzh Popcorn Thale.
ReplyDelete"Do you want thome cheesthy popcorn, or thome butter flavored, or tha carmel corn? Itsh tha tastieth you'll ever eat?"
I was watching the Braves until a 3 run inning cooled my enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteExactly Jet.
ReplyDeleteGiven the evasiveness that Gus has shown this week, does anyone else think he has something special cooked up for UT? Especially when he doesn't want to tell us who else on the team has been running the Wildcat. QB in motion anyone?
ReplyDeletehey guys, is the team off tonight? also, the bamers are all upset over the sanders kid decommitting. The kid to me sounds confused, who is to say he signs with auburn or that he even materializes. I say dont freak let it all play out. JUst one of the many things I hate about recruiting. Why are we wasting our time on someone who has never played a college down. You know its out of hand when the kids mother is emailing all of the recruiting websites with updates on her son. Back to Iowa and how they are overated.lol
ReplyDeleteIt's just a 17 year old high school student. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I never changed my mind about anything at that age.
ReplyDeleteI hate recruiting.
The team is not off, no.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you think that?
Beat Monte
ReplyDeleteI believe that there will be a good game plan by Gus. I look forwarded to watching on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteLet me paraphrase:
ReplyDelete"No tigerwalk because our facilities suck butt."
Gee, thanks Tennessee
So PPL is listed as day to day and may travel to knoxville. Sounds like he will be playing this weekend to me.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Craig Sanders situations, just ask the Bambi to refer to section 4353, subsection 324, paragraph 2356 of the Bambi playbook where it clearly states "Any player decomitting from the crapstone will be deemed to suck, regardless of star power, and said play left because we no longer want him, regardless of his reason for leaving". There you have it clearly in black and white.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you can throw PPL out there in a game like this but we will see I guess
ReplyDeleteJhag- i tend to agree with the PPL statement. It just seems that Chizik seems to do hint at something the week it happens such as Hawthorns status last week.
ReplyDeleteChizik wants to make it perfectly clear that nothing will be clear about who may or may not play.
ReplyDeleteSteve- why even brung PPL's status this week? That is out of the blue.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Rivals, Craig Sanders has decomitted from bama and committed to Auburn. That is a huge shift for Auburn.
ReplyDeleteNew thread UPZ.
ReplyDeleteI ahve been out of town. Never saw the Sanders kid coming this fast. Had heard au had a real shot of getting him to switch, but not this soon.
ReplyDeleteI guess this was the guy Dyer and Reed were working on at the WVU game. Still along way to February.
