Welcome to J-H

Hey everyone. We are live at Jordan-Hare Stadium, where it's wet wet wet and quite humid.

I'll post news when it happens. Not much going on right now.
  • A big thanks to Earl and Kristina for (again) hosting me and Bag at Le Tailgate. We also saw Scottie Burns, Eddie, Dear Leader, J. Kev and Sensi of HABOTN fame.

  • It is going to rain here. It will rain with unusual fervor. The sky to the south of J-H is as dark as I've ever seen. Wow.

  7. Sometimes it takes a little luck.

  8. So, I guess those HABOTN tailgates are 86-ed?

    ReplyDelete
  9. How in the world will Roof be able to come up with a defense for an offense that cannot pass the ball? They are scary good.

  10. Touchdown Inbreeds!!!

  11. Now comes the good part. UT has hope. They have Kiffikin and are in the game in the fourth. Time to get Tebowed!!! The game ending drive is coming.

  12. At the risk of repeating myself, from the other thread:

I saw the latest episode of AUFE this morning, and I was very impressed - not only from my biased Auburn perspective, but from a professional standpoint.

VERY crisp production, videography/editing is outstanding, a nice tight half hour all the way around. Much better than I anticipated.

Kudos to AUthentic Films. Excellent work.

  13. I'm liking the checkerboard mow pattern by the AU field crew. Kudos to the field crew today.

  17. Getting beat by Tebow,
    Crompton, why can't he throw.
All I said turns out not to be true.
    Thought we party,
    I mean party hardy.
But somehow the plans just didn't come through.
    Wasting away in Lane Kiffikinville...
Waiting for that QB recruit to call.
    But I'm a real loser,
    Becoming a boozer.
And I have Tebow to blame for it all.
    Waisting away in Lane Kiffikinville...

  18. Tenn. just through one into the flats. haven't seen that one since last play.

  19. Glad I took Washington in that one, but I didn't see them winning.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Penn Wagers must have wagered a little on this game... awful no-call.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Imagine that.... Crompton threw a pick.

  33. USC loses. I love it.

  34. USC lost.

On one hand I am glad they lost. On the other that will mean the media dahlings, saban and the fighting sabanites will end up rising in the polls.

  35. Hey Jay, why are none of your articles in the online edition of the MA today?

Steve...thanks, found one. Also congrats on your pickem success so far today.

  37. I like humidity. Especially when I'm in the AC at the house.

  39. Thanks Hoopie, I am going to make a push for the HABOTN Pickem National Championship. The best part is it is as meaningful as most of Bama's championships!!!

  40. Notre Dame struggling to tackle MSU.

  41. Abbie Chin (sp?) on ABC 33/40 just said that she has seen more than 1 5* RB's in town today to see AU.

Dyer we knew was coming... did Seastrunk come with Reed? Or is Lattimore in town?

    ReplyDelete
  42. MSU's QB just missed a wide open WR for the go ahead TD

    ReplyDelete
  43. Another awful throw by MSU to end the game.

  44. Oh...my...goodness. Gametime draws near. Serious anxiety always sets in right before a game. I can't help it.

  45. Just added a pic of the storm brewing south of the stadium.

  48. Long time reader 1st time poster.

    Auburn 44
    WVU 8

This from a dream the other night. Now, if Auburn starts breaking out the mascot kickoff, that will be freaky. I'm not sre how the 8 points would come about. 2fgs & a safety? Maybe just a TD plus. Or 4 safeties.

Is there lightning? Clemson was delayed twice.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thanks Norm. I checked the MA website, but didn't see it. Guess I missed it. Don't feel like my day has really begun until I've read Jay G waxing lyrical about Auburn football. I can rest easy now. Thanks again.

  52. This is the hardest rain I've ever seen here. I can't see the upper deck.

  53. Game has been delayed due to weather.

  54. Flood the field, let the Gus Malzahn Invitation Boatrace begin!

    ReplyDelete
  55. They just need to kick this thing off before I have a microcardial infarction!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. But, Weather.com only says "Light Rain with Thunder".

Nasty storm headed your way, JGT... I'm guessing an hour delay.

  57. My complements to the ducks for re-enforcing my faith in teams with stupid mascots.

  58. Oregon has done was UAT could not... beat Utah.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thunder is the key word. It could come a flood and they would play the game, but not with lightning.
