Game has been delayed due to a hellacious rain event here.
Game will start 30 minutes after the last documented lightning strike.
"Have You Ever Seen The Rain" being sung by the students, who refuse to leave the stadium as instructed.
Now it's "Who'll Stop The Rain?"
I like CCR.
first
ReplyDeleteAlmost glad to miss this one
ReplyDeleteRain didn't slow me down just as rain won't slow Malzahn's offense tonight.
ReplyDeleteYep I saw what Tulsa did in the Bowl game in that monsoon ... didnt seem to slow them at all.
ReplyDeleteIt's raining harder now. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteThe radar looks mighty red.
If weather doesn't let up, when would the game be played? Tomorrow? Looking at weather.com, it doesn't look like it is supposed to let up till early in the A.M.
ReplyDeleteNo!!! For the love of God and everything is holy, kick off the football game!!! I am dying here!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like most of it will slide under the interstate, and there's a window in the next 30-40 minutes.
ReplyDeleteEveryone loves them some John Fogerty and CCR.
ReplyDeleteThe field is starting to flood.
ReplyDeleteNever seen that before.
Gus was right!
ReplyDeleteJay, get us a shot of Pat Dye lake at some point.
ReplyDeleteFor those who didn't see the Auburn football everyday broadcast this week.
ReplyDeleteAt half time last week Gus was talking to the offense and said "now let's go out there and boatrace them in the 2nd half".
Nobody had a clue what he meant by that, but they got pumped up and went along.
Steve - I will.
ReplyDeleteWhy does boat race seem terribly appropriate now?
ReplyDeleteI think Gus was aware of the weather this week and wanted them to prepare for the first ever game of kayak football to be played at JH this weekend.
ReplyDeleteEither that or he wanted them to play a friendly drinking game.
With Troop doing his new dance with the paddle.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay.
ReplyDeleteAt least he didn't say to motorboat them.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I'm hearing "Living on a Prayer"
ReplyDeleteI will take our rushing attack against their rushing attack any day. Lets beat them in the mud!!!
ReplyDeleteNow the yellow seems to be thickening over Auburn, according to Intellicast.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Auburntigers.com is still broadcasting the new episode of Auburn Football Everyday for free, just in case people need something to pass the time.
ReplyDeleteFlash Flood warning now for Lee Co. Interesting. Does Under Armour make flippers and snorkels?
ReplyDeleteJGT - Is there still lightning?
ReplyDeleteNew main pic posted ... of Lake Dye. Still raining. Flooding is worse.
ReplyDeleteAU1 ... I have seen lightning in the last 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteIt will be difficult to burn couches in this weather.
ReplyDeleteThis just in: a pair of pants with keys and a wallet containing a AL driver's license reading "PATRICK FAIN DYE" just washed ashore on the visitors' sidelines.
ReplyDeleteMan, what a mess. Thanks Jay.
ReplyDeleteI think I hear it on the radio when it gets interference.
ReplyDeleteIt'll take 'em 30 minutes to get the field ready. Criminy, I've never seen rain like this in Auburn.
ReplyDeleteI was calm and cool earlier, now I'm getting antsy for kickoff.
ReplyDeleteGonna watch me some killer pigs attack some dogs.
ReplyDeleteApparently the student section is still out there going crazy.
ReplyDeleteWow we are not going to play this game damnit!
ReplyDeleteYou can see them in the pic RK, pretty cool. I still wish I was there, even in this rain.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a long game. Even if they start it in a half hour or so, there is more stuff coming.
ReplyDeleteSo Jay, is this the time the sportwriters start shooting craps in the back of the pressbox?
ReplyDeleteWOW Mud Bowl.....
ReplyDeleteWho does this favor?
AU I think.... Our runners know where they are going. The D doesn't
jhag, they will play this game sometime tonight. There are too many people there not to.
ReplyDeleteI think this favors us because we have the power running game.
ReplyDeleteThis game will be played.
ReplyDeleteRain has slowed to merely hard ... but another dose seems imminent on radar.
ReplyDeleteDid the weather knock the Auburn network out?
ReplyDeleteJust had two lightning strikes and loud thunder.
ReplyDeleteRe-start your countdowns.
Well... I hope the recruits are having fun. Maybe the enthusiastically wet student section will make a strong impression.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the forecast and radar on weather.com I don't see how they will get it off, doesn't look like it will stop till midnight or later.
ReplyDeleteThis game will be played. You can book it.
ReplyDeleteTD Hogs
ReplyDeleteI saw GT get postponed because of this once...... Hope it doesn't happen to us.
ReplyDeleteClemson and BC was delayed today. Twice. Once for an hour and the second time for 45 minutes. After the game had started.

ReplyDeleteI read rumors that Lattimore would be at this game. He is the least likely to sign of the top 3 runningbacks in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteWent out on the ramp to induldge my tobacco habit. Looked like some folks are leaving in a permanent way. Hope I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteAnother lightning strike.
ReplyDeleteReset your countdowns.
Rain has slowed down to just rain now.

ReplyDeleteNot sure if ya'll can see that.
J.Kev,
ReplyDeleteDid Jay G. big time you, or is all good?
Never in my lifetime have I seen an AUburn game canceled once the fans were in the stadium. There have been a few games rescheduled because of things like hurricanes.
ReplyDeleteThat link didn't work wake.
ReplyDeleteAuburn network is giving us highlights of the 2004 SEC championship.
ReplyDeleteIt's a picture of water higher than the ankles at JH.
ReplyDeleteDim Pigs came to play. I think I saw coach Richt updating his resume on the sideline.
ReplyDeleteTD Dogs.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown dawgs. We have a football game.
ReplyDeleteIt's the 1st quarter, of course we have a football game.
ReplyDeleteAs long as JayG says it will be played!! Giv me more time to get... Haha
ReplyDeleteHold the tar tar sauce. I got to remember to use that one sometime.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the students are really wishing it wasn't a dry campus right about now.
ReplyDeleteTD Hogs
ReplyDeleteMallet roasts the dogs. Touchdown Piggies!!!
ReplyDeleteThe countdown clock is about to start.
ReplyDeletePetrino's offensive accumen reminds me of Spurrier in the 90's
ReplyDeleteThe official J-H countdown has begun.
ReplyDeleteSo it's 30 minutes after the lightning strike ... plus a 10-minute warmup period.
ReplyDeleteThe weather on the radar south of AU is starting to die down.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, no, I didn't get big-timed.
ReplyDeleteBag and I just kinda hung back and watched him suck up the HABOTN tailgate love.
Surprisingly? Get a grip.
ReplyDeleteBand is moving back into position. I'm sure they enjoyed hearty cheers from the student section.
ReplyDeleteShootoutish in Fayetville. UGA special teams thumbs down.
ReplyDeleteOne day it started raining, and it didn't quit for four months. We been through every kind of rain there is. Little bitty stingin' rain... and big ol' fat rain. Rain that flew in sideways. And sometimes rain even seemed to come straight up from underneath.
ReplyDeleteThis Arkie Doggie game may be the BIG SHOOTOUT of the day
ReplyDeleteDogs got to punt
ReplyDeleteJust because JGT didn't build an Ark and I thought it was funny.
ReplyDeleteThe Business
Nice grab!
ReplyDeleteTurnover Ark.
ReplyDeleteThey just showed Arkansas' road games.
ReplyDeleteAlabama
Florida
Ole Miss
LSU
Clock now at 15:00. Band playing. AU flags waving.
ReplyDeleteThe Fighting Dumb@$$e$ of MTSU upset Maryland today 32-31.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it wasn't Tony Franklin's fault last year.
Maybe Tuberville will coach at Virginia next season.
ReplyDeleteVirginia is the type of program I can see Tuberville showing up at.
ReplyDeleteI can see that.
ReplyDeleteMight be Maryland
ReplyDeleteTO UGA
ReplyDeleteTD Hogs!!
ReplyDeleteNice catch Ark!
ReplyDeleteThis piggie dawg game is probably one of the most entertaining crappily played games I have seen. Poor defense and lots of turnovers and long pass plays.
ReplyDeleteTD Piggies!!!
Mark this one down: Fulmer or Tubeville to Louisville next year. Easiest pathway to the BCS.
ReplyDeleteArkansas is going to be a difficult offense to deal with.
ReplyDeleteA lot of UT people think that Fulmer wants the Louisville job.
ReplyDeleteI just don't know if I see Fulmer coaching anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteStill have my doubts about Tubs coaching anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if he stayed out of bigtime football from here on out.
Pigs 21, Dawgs 10 in the first quarter. Incredible.
ReplyDeleteThis game may be a mauling in stead of a shootout.
ReplyDeleteJGT - Clock still winding down?
ReplyDeleteBTW, the Other SC is struggling against Florida (Atlantic). Gave up 2 TDs in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half and are only up by virtue of a missed PAT, 17-16.
ReplyDeleteAnother reason for Tubs to stay retired. Who'd have thought a Spurrier-coached team would ever have trouble with the likes of FAU?
Parity is among us and every one may as well accept it.
ReplyDeleteSouth Carolina is a crappy job.
ReplyDeleteTo the best of my memory..they have never been good for any length of time..
Spurrier should have held out for a better job.
I's say kickoff will be at 7:50 or so.
ReplyDeleteThis is the reason football games should kick off at 1:30.
ReplyDeleteI say tear up the TV contracts and go back to playing football when it was meant to be played.
Agreed, Faker.
ReplyDeleteI think Spurrier's ego finally got the better of him. He figured he could make SC a championship contender. Looking more and more like he figured wrong.
I wouldn't be surprised if he hung it up after this season.
I hope Troop hasn't worn out all the players with chest bumps before the game.
ReplyDeleteI have to get up @ 3 to go hunting...... Oh Boy... Need more beer to keep me up.
ReplyDeleteHere come your Auburn Tigers.
ReplyDeleteOut of the tunnel once again ...
Freep,
ReplyDeleteSpurrier hasn't been successful at his last two jobs.
His ego left Florida for the NFL.
Intercepted by Arkie
ReplyDeleteThe crowd sounds awesome on the radio.
ReplyDeleteThe pigs are lighting up the sky
ReplyDeleteThe stadium sounds like it's rockin' over the radio! Should be an AUsome win tonight for the Tigers! WAR EAGLE!!!
ReplyDeleteScooter Berry not warming up for WVU.
ReplyDeleteTommy Trott is warming up.
ReplyDeleteThe jump from UF to the NFL made sense, even if it was into a difficult situation in DC.
ReplyDeleteThe Carolina job just didn't make sense.
I am looking for a big game from Lunchinkitchen. I am hoping to see some passes over the middle to slow down that pass rush.
ReplyDeleteThat's the sprit, LT. You don't need sleep as long as the tap is flowin.
ReplyDeleteESPN2 is switching right now
ReplyDeleteI see the fans!!! Woooooo!!! This thang is going to happen!!!
ReplyDeleteThe kickoff time reminds me of the Syracuse home game a couple of years ago that was a really late kickoff for TV.
ReplyDeleteTransitioning to game mode.
ReplyDeleteI was wrong, and I am very glad I was.
ReplyDeleteI'll go ahead and boo Bob Davie, just seeing him on TV angers me.
ReplyDeleteFinally
ReplyDeleteWe won the toss and deferred for the 1st time this year.
ReplyDeleteLET's GET ROCKIN!
ReplyDeleteBeer.... Check.... Channel changer.... Check....... Voice in good form..... Oh Yea
ReplyDeleteThat's at least twice that Mark Jones has mispronounced Jordan Hare.
ReplyDeleteCrowd sounds rowdy...
ReplyDeleteWAR EAGLE HEY!!
ReplyDeleteSpecial teams still questionable.
ReplyDeleteMissed!
ReplyDeleteContain, ElToro, Contain.
ReplyDeleteBig Stick... c'mon Wrap up fellas!
ReplyDeleteDoh!
ReplyDeleteWhere was the f'n flag??.... RT just bear hugged Coleman!
ReplyDeleteNew Thread!
ReplyDeleteWell that sucks.
ReplyDeleteThey need to make this a power game, not a speed game.
ReplyDeleteDang Kodi, that guy was wide open!!!
ReplyDelete
