WVU @ AUBURN IS DELAYED

Game has been delayed due to a hellacious rain event here.

Game will start 30 minutes after the last documented lightning strike.

"Have You Ever Seen The Rain" being sung by the students, who refuse to leave the stadium as instructed.

Now it's "Who'll Stop The Rain?"

I like CCR.

  1. Almost glad to miss this one

  2. Rain didn't slow me down just as rain won't slow Malzahn's offense tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yep I saw what Tulsa did in the Bowl game in that monsoon ... didnt seem to slow them at all.

    ReplyDelete
  4. It's raining harder now. Seriously.

    The radar looks mighty red.

    ReplyDelete
  5. If weather doesn't let up, when would the game be played? Tomorrow? Looking at weather.com, it doesn't look like it is supposed to let up till early in the A.M.

    ReplyDelete
  6. No!!! For the love of God and everything is holy, kick off the football game!!! I am dying here!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. It looks like most of it will slide under the interstate, and there's a window in the next 30-40 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Everyone loves them some John Fogerty and CCR.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The field is starting to flood.

    Never seen that before.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jay, get us a shot of Pat Dye lake at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  11. For those who didn't see the Auburn football everyday broadcast this week.

At half time last week Gus was talking to the offense and said "now let's go out there and boatrace them in the 2nd half".

Nobody had a clue what he meant by that, but they got pumped up and went along.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Why does boat race seem terribly appropriate now?

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think Gus was aware of the weather this week and wanted them to prepare for the first ever game of kayak football to be played at JH this weekend.

Either that or he wanted them to play a friendly drinking game.

With Troop doing his new dance with the paddle.

    ReplyDelete
  15. At least he didn't say to motorboat them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Unfortunately I'm hearing "Living on a Prayer"

    ReplyDelete
  17. I will take our rushing attack against their rushing attack any day. Lets beat them in the mud!!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Now the yellow seems to be thickening over Auburn, according to Intellicast.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I believe that Auburntigers.com is still broadcasting the new episode of Auburn Football Everyday for free, just in case people need something to pass the time.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Flash Flood warning now for Lee Co. Interesting. Does Under Armour make flippers and snorkels?

JGT - Is there still lightning?

    ReplyDelete
  22. New main pic posted ... of Lake Dye. Still raining. Flooding is worse.

    ReplyDelete
  23. AU1 ... I have seen lightning in the last 5 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It will be difficult to burn couches in this weather.

    ReplyDelete
  25. This just in: a pair of pants with keys and a wallet containing a AL driver's license reading "PATRICK FAIN DYE" just washed ashore on the visitors' sidelines.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Man, what a mess. Thanks Jay.

I think I hear it on the radio when it gets interference.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It'll take 'em 30 minutes to get the field ready. Criminy, I've never seen rain like this in Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I was calm and cool earlier, now I'm getting antsy for kickoff.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Gonna watch me some killer pigs attack some dogs.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Apparently the student section is still out there going crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wow we are not going to play this game damnit!

    ReplyDelete
  33. You can see them in the pic RK, pretty cool. I still wish I was there, even in this rain.

    ReplyDelete
  34. This is going to be a long game. Even if they start it in a half hour or so, there is more stuff coming.

    ReplyDelete
  35. So Jay, is this the time the sportwriters start shooting craps in the back of the pressbox?

    ReplyDelete
  36. WOW Mud Bowl.....

    Who does this favor?

AU I think.... Our runners know where they are going. The D doesn't

    ReplyDelete
  37. jhag, they will play this game sometime tonight. There are too many people there not to.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think this favors us because we have the power running game.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This game will be played.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Rain has slowed to merely hard ... but another dose seems imminent on radar.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Did the weather knock the Auburn network out?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Just had two lightning strikes and loud thunder.

    Re-start your countdowns.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well... I hope the recruits are having fun. Maybe the enthusiastically wet student section will make a strong impression.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Looking at the forecast and radar on weather.com I don't see how they will get it off, doesn't look like it will stop till midnight or later.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This game will be played. You can book it.

    ReplyDelete

  47. I saw GT get postponed because of this once...... Hope it doesn't happen to us.

Clemson and BC was delayed today. Twice. Once for an hour and the second time for 45 minutes. After the game had started.

  50. I read rumors that Lattimore would be at this game. He is the least likely to sign of the top 3 runningbacks in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Went out on the ramp to induldge my tobacco habit. Looked like some folks are leaving in a permanent way. Hope I'm wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Another lightning strike.

    Reset your countdowns.

Rain has slowed down to just rain now.

  54. J.Kev,

Did Jay G. big time you, or is all good?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Never in my lifetime have I seen an AUburn game canceled once the fans were in the stadium. There have been a few games rescheduled because of things like hurricanes.

    ReplyDelete
  56. That link didn't work wake.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Auburn network is giving us highlights of the 2004 SEC championship.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It's a picture of water higher than the ankles at JH.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Dim Pigs came to play. I think I saw coach Richt updating his resume on the sideline.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Anonymous7:03 PM

    TD Dogs.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Touchdown dawgs. We have a football game.

    ReplyDelete
  62. It's the 1st quarter, of course we have a football game.

    ReplyDelete
  63. As long as JayG says it will be played!! Giv me more time to get... Haha

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hold the tar tar sauce. I got to remember to use that one sometime.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'm sure the students are really wishing it wasn't a dry campus right about now.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anonymous7:08 PM

    TD Hogs

    ReplyDelete
  67. Mallet roasts the dogs. Touchdown Piggies!!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. The countdown clock is about to start.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Anonymous7:09 PM

Petrino's offensive accumen reminds me of Spurrier in the 90's

    ReplyDelete
  70. The official J-H countdown has begun.

    ReplyDelete
  71. So it's 30 minutes after the lightning strike ... plus a 10-minute warmup period.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Anonymous7:10 PM

The weather on the radar south of AU is starting to die down.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Surprisingly, no, I didn't get big-timed.

Bag and I just kinda hung back and watched him suck up the HABOTN tailgate love.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Surprisingly? Get a grip.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Band is moving back into position. I'm sure they enjoyed hearty cheers from the student section.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Shootoutish in Fayetville. UGA special teams thumbs down.

    ReplyDelete
  77. One day it started raining, and it didn't quit for four months. We been through every kind of rain there is. Little bitty stingin' rain... and big ol' fat rain. Rain that flew in sideways. And sometimes rain even seemed to come straight up from underneath.

    ReplyDelete
  78. This Arkie Doggie game may be the BIG SHOOTOUT of the day

    ReplyDelete
  79. Anonymous7:14 PM

Just because JGT didn't build an Ark and I thought it was funny.

    Nice grab!

    ReplyDelete
  81. They just showed Arkansas' road games.

    Alabama
    Florida
    Ole Miss
    LSU

    ReplyDelete
  82. Clock now at 15:00. Band playing. AU flags waving.

    ReplyDelete
  83. The Fighting Dumb@$$e$ of MTSU upset Maryland today 32-31.

Maybe it wasn't Tony Franklin's fault last year.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Maybe Tuberville will coach at Virginia next season.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Virginia is the type of program I can see Tuberville showing up at.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Anonymous7:28 PM

    Might be Maryland

    ReplyDelete
  87. Anonymous7:29 PM

    TO UGA

    ReplyDelete
  88. Anonymous7:30 PM

    TD Hogs!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. This piggie dawg game is probably one of the most entertaining crappily played games I have seen. Poor defense and lots of turnovers and long pass plays.

    TD Piggies!!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Mark this one down: Fulmer or Tubeville to Louisville next year. Easiest pathway to the BCS.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Arkansas is going to be a difficult offense to deal with.

    ReplyDelete
  92. A lot of UT people think that Fulmer wants the Louisville job.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I just don't know if I see Fulmer coaching anywhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Still have my doubts about Tubs coaching anywhere.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed out of bigtime football from here on out.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Pigs 21, Dawgs 10 in the first quarter. Incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  96. This game may be a mauling in stead of a shootout.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Anonymous7:34 PM

JGT - Clock still winding down?

    ReplyDelete
  98. BTW, the Other SC is struggling against Florida (Atlantic). Gave up 2 TDs in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half and are only up by virtue of a missed PAT, 17-16.

Another reason for Tubs to stay retired. Who'd have thought a Spurrier-coached team would ever have trouble with the likes of FAU?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Parity is among us and every one may as well accept it.

    ReplyDelete
  100. South Carolina is a crappy job.

To the best of my memory..they have never been good for any length of time..

Spurrier should have held out for a better job.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I's say kickoff will be at 7:50 or so.

    ReplyDelete
  102. This is the reason football games should kick off at 1:30.

I say tear up the TV contracts and go back to playing football when it was meant to be played.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Agreed, Faker.

I think Spurrier's ego finally got the better of him. He figured he could make SC a championship contender. Looking more and more like he figured wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised if he hung it up after this season.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I hope Troop hasn't worn out all the players with chest bumps before the game.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I have to get up @ 3 to go hunting...... Oh Boy... Need more beer to keep me up.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Here come your Auburn Tigers.

Out of the tunnel once again ...

    ReplyDelete
  107. Freep,

Spurrier hasn't been successful at his last two jobs.

His ego left Florida for the NFL.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Intercepted by Arkie

    ReplyDelete
  109. The crowd sounds awesome on the radio.

    ReplyDelete
  110. The pigs are lighting up the sky

    ReplyDelete
  111. The stadium sounds like it's rockin' over the radio! Should be an AUsome win tonight for the Tigers! WAR EAGLE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Scooter Berry not warming up for WVU.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Tommy Trott is warming up.

    ReplyDelete
  114. The jump from UF to the NFL made sense, even if it was into a difficult situation in DC.

The Carolina job just didn't make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I am looking for a big game from Lunchinkitchen. I am hoping to see some passes over the middle to slow down that pass rush.

    ReplyDelete
  116. That's the sprit, LT. You don't need sleep as long as the tap is flowin.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Anonymous7:47 PM

    ESPN2 is switching right now

    ReplyDelete
  118. I see the fans!!! Woooooo!!! This thang is going to happen!!!

    ReplyDelete
  119. The kickoff time reminds me of the Syracuse home game a couple of years ago that was a really late kickoff for TV.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Transitioning to game mode.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I was wrong, and I am very glad I was.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I'll go ahead and boo Bob Davie, just seeing him on TV angers me.

    ReplyDelete
  123. We won the toss and deferred for the 1st time this year.

    ReplyDelete
  124. LET's GET ROCKIN!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Beer.... Check.... Channel changer.... Check....... Voice in good form..... Oh Yea

    ReplyDelete
