Happy Halloween from the HABOTN

Since we'll be doing game stuff tomorrow, here is JAN TERRI's amazing tribute to All Hallow's Eve.

Please enjoy.

We have no reason to believe beat hacks were harmed during production of this video.

  3. I've never seen a P T Anderson flick. Believe I'll check 'em out.

  4. I posted this at the end of the other thread. A lot of you may have seen this before, but it's funny stuff.

  5. That Mike Leach post on the previous thread was great. Sounds like some "fat little girlfriends" might get inconvenienced.

    ReplyDelete
  6. By the way, last night I dreamed that I had a pet baby pig which I took to a Neil Diamond concert at a venue that looked a lot like JH Stadium. Neil sang "Kentucky Woman". I'm thinking that I'm still not over the Arky and UK losses.

    ReplyDelete
  7. RK, that was brilliant. I liked him tuning his radio.

    ReplyDelete
  8. A J Burnett and Dale Earnhardt Jr - separated at birth?

    ReplyDelete
  9. now Jan Terri is bringing the pre-Halloween substance!

    hotties hooooooo!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Michael with the influence today.

    ReplyDelete
  11. ehyou,

I liked the "you're momma is going on a date..." lines.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Campfires = good stuff...enjoyed
Went passed my bedtime but so what.
Dress up in orange and black for tomorrow's game. Stiff Jacobs.

  13. I laughed out loud when he "dismissed" Leih.

  15. Jan Terri is overflowing with substance. Long live the Queen!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Digger- That's always the case for myself and I pay the price in the morning after only 5 hours of sleep. But it's always worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. How that video didn't win an MTV award is beyond me. Best I've ever seen.

    ehyou - love that avatar!

    ReplyDelete
  18. THT - why the new profile? You look so different.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Watch Lache Seastrunk last night in the 4th quarter. Don't think the opponents had much use for him.

One of their DLs clocked him in the head (nearly 50 yards behind the play) after Lache dropped a backwards pass, walked away from it, and a defender scooped it up for the game-clinching TD.

Looks like Lache tweaked his ankle and was a step slow all night. Or maybe it was FAH, and we've secretly importanted Lache to play in the game tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Man, I'm having some serious typographiclal errorsed today.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Today is another run out the clock situations...only 4.5 hours left till freedome :)!

    ReplyDelete
  22. You Gals / Guys are not helping with my run the clock out scenerio. It would help to have some more posts, some conversation to go back and forth with. Help a Hottie out please :)!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Eddie,

How are you planning on avoiding the influx of candy this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  24. FSJ- By having mother nature dump water on us.

    ReplyDelete
  25. FSJ- What are the kids going as?

My oldest, Emma, 4 is going as Cinderella and my youngest Abby, 1, is going as Belle. Princess theme going on here.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Slive keeps the story alive ... announces new penalties for coaches who criticize officials ... first offenders can now be fined or suspended.

Repeat offenders, however, will be ignored.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Eddie, what's your costume? you can't let your little princesses have all the fun.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'll have a Cleopatra and a Raggedy Ann in tow this season.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Scottie- I'm going as a referree with dark sunglass and a long white pole and a wad of cash sticking out my back pocket.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Eduardo ...

Don't forget your "I (heart) Urban and Nick" button.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Jet- Of course and I will also wear I hate Auburn button too

    ReplyDelete
  33. Eduardo ...

If they don't cough up good candy, throw the flag. Then pull out a bullhorn and yell:

"Treat interference on the Hendersons. Because the penalty occurred in end zone of a trick or treat, we will place all children 2 yards from their front door and wait until proper candy and amounts are distributed."

    ReplyDelete
  34. I haven't shaved since the LSU loss and won't until we win a game.

So I'll either be going to a Trunk or Treat tomorrow as a clean shaven happy Auburn fan or a disgruntled homeless looking Auburn fan.

    ReplyDelete
  35. **Halloween is Saturday, and that has prompted Auburn to issue this policy for Jordan-Hare Stadium:

Halloween costumes are allowed in Jordan-Hare Stadium, however, those wearing costumes will be searched for prohibited items.

Props meant to go with a costume, such as a toy gun or sword, will not be allowed inside Jordan-Hare.

There will be a trick-or-treat booth for kids who attend the Coca-Cola FanFest, starting at 9 a.m. on the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum lawn.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Eduardo - just hope the candy throws don't get sent to the SEC replay official. Not only will you be stuck on the porch for at least 10 minutes, but possession of the candy will likely revert back to the thrower.

    ReplyDelete
  37. What about props like kick coverage, completed passes and not committing penalties?

    Are those allowed?

    ReplyDelete
  38. WERK - that beard could get awful long by next September.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wonder if Ziemba used to yell "Trick or Treat" before anyone opened the door.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Jet - those haven't been allowed all season. I don't think standard policy will be effected by Halloween.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Eddie - Saw your comment yesterday that I needed to be above row 54 to stay dry. Sorry, I wasn't where I could post at the time.

Now my wife is talking about backing out altogether; she thinks she might melt in the rain.

I could have bought 2 scholarship tickets on eBay for $162, but forgot about it and missed out.

Oh well, just trying to help you out on watching the clock. I'm free today. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm up for probs. Should I carry around a box entitled "Saban's Height Equalizer"?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Unfortunately, I am out for tomorrow.

I will be serving as a pallbearer at a funeral for an older gentleman at church. He was an unintentionally funny character, but a good man. He had been very sick for a long while. I had hoped that the funeral would be Sunday or Monday. I had agreed a while back to do this, and will be glad to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks Coosa! Scholarship tickets would have been the deal. Maybe you can find for sure dry seats and convince her to go.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sorry to hear that Jet. I had to miss last year's Old Miss game because of a funeral.

I have instructed my family that my funeral is not to be during an Auburn football game, no matter what.

    ReplyDelete
  46. On the other hand, Auburn is 1-0 in games on days in which I am a pallbearer.*

    *-Arkansas, 2000.

    ReplyDelete
  47. So if Auburn wins while Jet serves, which Hottie is taking one for the team?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Eddie, if you gotta get all the way to row 54, then there must not be as many dry seats in the stadium as I thought.

I've got plenty of rain gear for myself, but its all camouflage and she wouldn't wear it.

This is what I get for marrying a much older woman. It was cool back when I was younger; not so much now.

Sure hope she doesn't somehow stumble onto the blog and read this. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Jet, nice Ziemba line at 11:17. That got an out-loud chuckle out of me.

Do you think j-z's house will be passing out ABC popcorn?

    ReplyDelete
  50. I volunteer, but only for the Iron Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Coosa- I've regulary set on Row 35 Press Box side and we are a long way from being under the canopy. It may not be row 54, but it's pretty darn close.

YOu could go buy here a nice new rain suit from wal-mart :)!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Cool, THT willing to take a dirt nap for an iron bowl win. That is dedication.

    ReplyDelete
  53. ChocoScott:

Apparently J-Z says he's not "preparing" for this game the way he did for the Mississippi State game, which he indicates will lessen the likelihoodof a popcorn spew.

Personally, I think Orville Redenbacher will show up anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This whole official thing is nonsense...why can't you criticize the officials...who does that affect?

    ReplyDelete
  55. It affects the SEC Office, and they are a dictatorship that will not stand for that.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I think J-Z will be "prepared" by the time trick-or-treaters roll around! Hopefully most of the kiddies will wear masks that protect the eyes from spewed popcorn kernels.

    ReplyDelete
  57. "I wonder if Ziemba used to yell "Trick or Treat" before anyone opened the door."

    Awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I have my costume on, I'm Maverick from Top Gun. It's a big hit here at the office. I have a legoized version of it to the right here.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Eddie, that's a good idea. Buying her something new usually works for most anything.

BTW, she's 18 months older than me. She doesn't seem to like me referring to her as "much older" than I am. No idea why she feels that way.

    ReplyDelete
  60. My wife is 2 days older than me and I act like it's two decades. I think you're fine at 18 months.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Coosa- It's all in the sake of love. She probably digs having a young stallion.

    ReplyDelete
  62. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  63. My wife is 2 1/2 years younger than me and 3 years ago thought it was cool to make fun of me when I turned 30...it wasn't quite as funny this year when she turned 30 for some reason

    ReplyDelete
  64. BTW Eddie, there's a clip that shows up after the two point clip you posted. Evidently they don't know how to spike a ball in the CFL. That was funny.

    ReplyDelete
  65. RK- Funny, similar situation here with my wife who just turned 30 this past Sunday. Turning 30 was not cool to her. She thought it was until the day got there. I'm just 2 years and 1 month older.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Sean - there's a guy in my office wearing that same costume. You don't happen to work in Atlanta as a sales service guy and pose as a UGA fan do you?

    ReplyDelete
  67. mytommy- Just saw that clip. That was funny.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'm in Atlanta, but that's as far as the connection goes. I'm an Auburn fan 100 percent of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Cool, cause that would be weird to find out you call yourself Sean here, and Mike to the rest of the world

    ReplyDelete
  70. or maybe my cover's blown? Who knows??

    ReplyDelete
  71. Go away leghumper! :)

    ReplyDelete
  72. I ran into a real Air Force pilot at lunch. He gave me a funny look...it was kind of akward.

But then he asks, "so who's Goose?"

    That made me feel better.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I think the Navy Nightmare idea is a good one. However, the first time I heard it, I thought it was Ole Miss's idea.

Now, as a Bama fan, you might think I'm trying to insult; but, why would the originator of the idea not do it on another night when the opponent's main color is not blue.

I know it is probably halloween related; but, the idea is pretty darn cool even without the Halloween tie in.

    ReplyDelete
  74. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Who's that comin' down the track? A Mean Machine in Red and Black! Nothin worse in the land...than a drunk obnoxious Bulldog fan!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Sean,

I hate that stupid chant. Some UGA kids were taunting people leaving a Braves game I went to earlier this year with that chant.

So going by my skills of deduction with you being from Atlanta, being a UGA fan and knowing the chant... obviously it was you.

    ReplyDelete
  77. So I couldn't bring myself to put the real line there at the end...

Even on Halloween weekend I'm incapable of pretending to be a leghumper.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Eddie,

Abbie is going as Minnie Mouse. She is at least consistent. Last year she wanted to be Mickey Mouse.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Mark- I concur about the opponent of choice to break this out against. Makes no sense. Of course, the "nightmare" part would have been a little bit more fitting if Auburn had actually played at night. Instead it's daymare.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Also as has been said for weeks, isn't orange a more appropriate color for Halloween?

    ReplyDelete
  81. FSJ- I hear ya on consistancy. Let's see, Emma the last 3 years in order: Belle, Sleeping Beauty and now Cinderella. She is running out of princesses to be.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I was actually at Mikata with this girl who was dating the stereotypical leghumper Fratty prior to the '06 game. This dude had about 4 Sake Bombs and proceeded to belt that stupid chant out about 6 or 8 times before the manager came over and threatened to toss him. He was insufferable the next day.

    ReplyDelete
  83. RK- This is the one game I would embrace orange over Blue. In matter of fact, Orange Jersey's would be appropriate.........

    ....Kristina to comment in 5...4...3...2...

    ReplyDelete
  84. Eddie, never fear, you still have Snow White, Alice, Ariel...That'll hold you over through the princess years.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Sean- Don't forget Pocahantas and soon to be Tiana.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Has Michael shared what his Halloween costume will be this year?

    ReplyDelete
  87. RK- I got this from Michael:

ajflj0ioj0iojj oiujipajioja[f jolajiofjioaj joajfoijo joajfoajf Jan Teri

    He was fairly clear.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Abbie is into something called Yo Gabba Gabba or some crap like that...

What little I've seen of it looks like something that you'd have to be drunk or high or both to understand.

    ReplyDelete
  89. i just googled 'yo gabba gabba'. ha.

    good luck with that FSJ!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Nothing is unkown with the net. And yeah good luck with that FSJ

    ReplyDelete
  91. Anonymous12:52 PM

Is there such a thing as a daymare?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Sensi- It's every Auburn game before noon.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Let's hope it's been made clear to the AU coaches and players that it's the other team and its fans that are supposed to have the nightmare/daymare.

    100?

    ReplyDelete
  94. I just hope we don't play Furman before noon.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Furman will probably be a 1:00 kickoff.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Then we have a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  97. What's the over/under on the number of trick plays in tomorrows game by both sides?

    I say three.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Right now a trick for us is a play that covers 10 or more yards.

    ReplyDelete
  99. The old daymare ... she ain't what she used to be ... ain't what used to be.

    ReplyDelete
  100. We had dozens of plays over 10 yards in weeks 1-5, really in the Ark game we had a few too. However the last two weeks they have been few and far between.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yo Gabba Gabba is a new one for me. It looks like that might be your daymare right there.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I think Yo Gabba Gabba is awesome. But you guys probably figured that.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm shocked michael..

    LOL!

    ReplyDelete

    Dyer to commit. Legitamate?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Is anybody having problems with the site today?

Phreddy and a few others have experiencing issues ... but I am not. Neither is FSJ.

    You?

    ReplyDelete
  106. all clear up here Captain Tate.

    ReplyDelete
  107. No problem here, Jay. I was afraid I killed the thread with my yo gab comment, but Michael redeemed me.

    ReplyDelete
  108. man, i'm really not looking foward to driving all day in the rain tomorrow. bummer.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Jay G- I've gotten error messages a couple of times today and once yesterday. I was forced to open up another window to view the site normally. Thougt it was just my computer. It's never happened before with this site. Not sure if that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Could it be an issue with the browser?

    I use Safari..

    ReplyDelete
  111. I use the latest Firefox ... no problems.

    ReplyDelete
  112. i blame it on false starts.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I blame it on Tuberville...

    ReplyDelete
  114. or our kick return unit. yup. that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I blame it on a lack of execution.

    ReplyDelete
  116. The site is day-by-day.

    ReplyDelete
  117. i blame it on crude oil prices.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Jay G ...

On Wednesday night, I gave up because I kept get error messages. No problems since.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I too use the latest Firefox and have zero issues.

    ReplyDelete
  120. This firefox thing is popular...maybe I should try it.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I haven't had any problems except once my pop up blocker went off on this page, and it never has done that on here before.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Firefox is the way to go. If you aren't using Firefox, your really aren't living.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Jay G gives this site its best opportunity to win. The bottom line is that this site needs to work on its execution.

    ReplyDelete

  125. well, i'm out till sunday folks. gotta get in bed early tonite so i'll have the energy to drive from knoxville in the morning.

    HOTTIES...........OUT!

    BEAT OLE MISS!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Have a safe trip scottie.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Man, this place is dead. We need something to spice things up. How about guessing the number of pass completions Todzilla will have tomorrow? I will go with 11.

P.S. Only completions to players wearing and Auburn jersey are included in the pick.

    ReplyDelete
  128. You guys are really stinkin' it up today

    ReplyDelete
  129. I second what Scottie said...

    Beat Ole Miss!!

    That is all.

    ReplyDelete
  130. For puppet hour today, i'm gonna make the habotn disappear

    ReplyDelete
  131. I was just about to complain about the lack of puppetry around here today, but now I'm going to sit here and wait for Harrison to do his trick.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Who thinks Vince Young comes out and leads the Titans to their first win? Not this guy.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Sean, what's his record as a starter? 18-11 or something? The renaissance starts now...in Auburn and Nashville.

    ReplyDelete
  134. He is 18-11. I just don't think it happens this week. Maybe next week. I agree on Auburn. Time to get the engine fired back up.

    ReplyDelete
  135. dang, you guys ruined my trick

    ReplyDelete
  136. This trick is taking a really long time to materialize. I think I'm gonna go home and just check back later to see whether the HABOTN is still here.

    WDE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  137. AHA! So it was our fault for hanging around. Are you calling us fat girlfriends?

    ReplyDelete
  138. yep. you all are a bunch of fat little girls, except the actual girls here.

    ReplyDelete
  139. It dusappeared it disappeared for 9 minutes

    ReplyDelete
  140. Fridays always seem slow but today we have really dropped the ball and had silence penalties and all that stuff

    ReplyDelete
  141. Harrison - Mind Freak.

    ReplyDelete
  142. So fbomb and Shane got it stirred up today (per a friend calling me today). I hear he is saying the team is divided along racial lines and Trooper is behind it all.

Journalism at its finest right there folks.

    ReplyDelete
  143. To bad someone cannot hold P. FB accountable for all of his wild accusations say after a week or two when they don't materialize.
He just leeps slinking along like the snake he is.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Mark Richt will be gone after this year, UGA hires Charlie Strong

    ReplyDelete
  145. I told yall i could do it

    ReplyDelete
  146. Someone else is going to have to stop you for a while Harrison I am out until later tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  147. The team is actually divided along height lines. The tall receivers are looking down on the short receivers.

    ReplyDelete

  149. The Man blocks YouTube at the orifice, so I just now viewed Get Down Goblin for the very first time in my life.

    That ... was ... amazing.

I'm so glad that they had an extensive budget to capture this video masterpiece. Imagine how lame it would have been if it were a low-budget video.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Jet, it breaks my heart that you have been around here as longs you have, and this is the first time you have seen Get Down Goblin.

    ReplyDelete
  151. MJT ...

I was saving myself for marriage. Then I realized I had been married for 20 years.

    ReplyDelete
  152. i haven't seen it either so it can't be that good

    ReplyDelete
  153. Jan Terri is a beautiful siren/enchantress who does not need to be seen by Harrison to be awesome. And don't you forget it!

    ReplyDelete
  154. Who was that English chick that everybody went crazy over earlier last year?

Looks like an English J.T. to me.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I came back
    I saw
    I conquered
    I left

    ReplyDelete
  156. Rather dead here tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Harrison's trick finally worked, apparently.

    ReplyDelete
  158. When I see Bill Stewart, I think of the guy the players in Bad News Bears in Breaking Training told their parents was the coach, but they left at the field in California.

    ReplyDelete
  159. So... who has a parking pass they want to let me use tomorrow morning?

    ReplyDelete
  160. Easy win coming up tomorow. War Eagle!

    ReplyDelete
  161. War Eagle Hotties! Rain gear is packed. Heading to Auburn for the Navy Nightmare.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Good morning!

Can't wait to watch a "relaxing" day of football. I love off weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  163. It's getting time for the Navy Nightmare to begin...hahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  164. I figured out that in the Navy Nightmare the Navy stood for nautical attack not color. Good luck to all those going to the game at staying dry. It's killing me not to be there. Oh well. War Eagle!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  165. Trick or Treat?????

    We shall see!!!

    War Eagle.....................HEY!

    ReplyDelete
  166. At least it's not Naval Nightmare, because it could just be all about gross bellybuttons.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I'm going to wait in the pumpkin patch for the great pumpkin to deliver me an Auburn win. If I went trick or treating I would only get rocks.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I have awful news: a friend of a friend has a cousin who's next door neighbor's to Chiz's pharmacist said Auburn will come out in new uniforms today ... Snuggies.

    ReplyDelete
  169. So what's your take on the game today Eddie?

    Do we have a shot?

    ReplyDelete
  170. Jet,

At least they will be warm. I hope it's leopard print.

    ReplyDelete
  171. RK- if Chriss Todd of first 5 games show up we have a chance. If not, don't expect anything better than the Arkansas or LSU game. Ole Miss is a better team than both.

    ReplyDelete
  172. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  173. If the bad Jevon Snead shows up then we also have a chance.

    We have these options.

Bad Chris Todd vs Bad Jevon Snead: slight advantage Ole Miss

Bad Chris Todd vs Good Jevon Snead: Huge advantage Ole Miss

Good Chris Todd vs Good Jevon Snead: slight advantage Ole Miss

Good Chris Todd vs Bad Jevon Snead: Advantage Auburn

So I see it as we have a 1/4 chance of winning.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I can buy that RK. I would like for Gus to commit to the run early and often today.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Right now we have a team that's best chance of winning games is controlling the clock, but we are running an offense that even when successful doesn't control the clock.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Agreed Rk, but if you can put points up in bunches it can mask those problems.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Unfortunately points in bunches seems to be a lot to ask for right now.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Well, I gave Orville "J-Z" Redenbacher my tickets. So I don't know what's going to happen in the game -- for some reason, I think we'll win. But I have greater confidence that someone's gonna get show with a mouthful of popcorn.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Pre-Dawn Game Day kinda freaky.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Anonymous9:53 AM

I think I saw a tumbleweed kill a cricket in here a minute ago.
