Auburn has made no changes to its depth chart.
- Ole Miss first possession: TOUCHDOWN. Andy Hartmann 7 pass from Jevan Snead. PAT kick good. Drive covered 94 yards in 10 plays.
- OLE MISS 7, AUBURN 0
- Auburn first possession: FIELD GOAL. Wes Byrum 36 FG. Drive covered 41 yards in 6 plays.
- OLE MISS 7, AUBURN 3
- Ole Miss second possession: PUNT. Auburn missed a pair of prime interception situations ... one by Neiko Thorpe, one by Joshua Bynes.
- Auburn second possession: TURNOVER ON DOWNS. Auburn faced a 3rd-and-1 ... and couldn't get the single yards. I don't understand why Auburn would run from a shotgun formation on 4th-and-1. Maybe you understand.
- Ole Miss third possession: MISSED FG.
- Auburn third possession: PUNT. Penalty on first down, dropped pass on second down.
- Ole Miss fourth possession: TURNOVER ON DOWNS. Ole Miss went for it on 4th-and-6 ... and Snead was sacked for an 11-yard loss. Oops.
- Auburn fourth possession: PUNT. Not much going on there.
- Ole Miss fifth possession: PUNT.
- Auburn fifth possession: TOUCHDOWN. Darvin Adams 28 pass from Chris Todd. PAT kick good. Drive covered 90 yards in 6 plays.
- AUBURN 10, OLE MISS 7
- Ole Miss sixth possession: TURNOVER ON DOWNS. The half was about to end anyway.

ReplyDeleteWith Substance!
DWWD!
Xcellent!!
ReplyDeleteBen Tate needs 118 yards to go over 3,000 for his career, does he get it today?
ReplyDeleteOle Miss 9- 24 all time against AU. Please don't let them get to double digits
ReplyDeleteCadillac & Carlos Rogers are apparently walking out with the team today.
ReplyDeleteMario Speedwagon averaging 8.5 yards per carry this year. Does he get a good amount of carries today?
ReplyDeleteRK ...
ReplyDeleteYES!
WOW Lots o Empty seats..
ReplyDeleteOle Miss isn't going to know what hit 'em!
ReplyDeleteI've been working on a pair of HS stories. Sorry for the late start.
ReplyDeleteLots of empty seats, no doubt.
ReplyDeleteWHAT A SMACK!!
ReplyDeleteWho's special teams was that?
ReplyDeleteGood start, kickoff into the endzone...but how did we not recover that fumble?
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' 'BOUT!
ReplyDeleteWHAT A HIT!
ReplyDeleteLet that be the start of something PLEASE!!
ReplyDeletehow did we miss that ball 4 people.... right on top
ReplyDeleteOh well, so much for the momentum.
ReplyDeleteAll the momentum in the world can't help our defense. That blows.
ReplyDeleteEltoro burned on the pass. Was he blitzing?
ReplyDeleteFreeman missed the coverage on the big play.
ReplyDeleteOh, the bull.
ELTORO!!
ReplyDeletehello eltoro
ReplyDeleteEltoro is playing today. Pretty cool.
ReplyDeletehold em
ReplyDeleteLooking too easy for Ole Miss to move the ball starting at the 6 yardline.
ReplyDeleteThis bend and break defense is driving me nuts.
ReplyDeleteNotice how our slade lept at him off his feet to try and make that tackle. That is the key reason this defense can't tackle. Period.
ReplyDeleteEltoro makes one big play, but it doesn't make up for the 40 yard play he didn't cover well.
ReplyDeleteBad pass-coverage bust by Eltoro. Goodness.
ReplyDeleteSteve- It ain't bending, it's breaking.
ReplyDeleteEddie, Slade learned that from Ethridge.
ReplyDeleteShould have been a late hit
ReplyDeleteWow. That was easy.
ReplyDelete90 how many yards....
ReplyDeleteNice effort there by McFadden...
ReplyDeleteMore of the same.
ReplyDeleteAppropriate for Halloween, a date with several associated movies with tons of remakes.
They all end the same.
Just like this.
94 yard touchdown drive. This is just terrible and really tough to watch.
ReplyDelete94 yards given up on D already.
ReplyDeleteThey made it look easy.
We're amazingly bad at several positions defensively.
ReplyDeleteWell if it stays this way, at least it's over early.
ReplyDeleteThe bad thing is that the defense was fresh then. What about later when it's not.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about it gang, just the traditional first drive jitters for or D. Nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeletelike a hot knife thru butter
ReplyDeleteSo will we get the now traditional 1st drive jitters with 2 strange plays with the wildcat then a punt?
ReplyDeleteWhen freeman hits he hits big...when he misse he misses big
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side, the kickoff coverage looked good.
ReplyDeleteBoy, it would have been nice to recover that fumble on the kickoff
ReplyDeleteDear Leader, butter puts up more resistance.
ReplyDeletewhere, oh where, has my ole football team gone???
ReplyDeleteSomebody....PLEASE bring them back!!!!
Well they only averaged 9.4 yards per play.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the DE twist, by the way.
ReplyDeleteKickoffs are looking good for us.
ReplyDeleteGonna be a long, long day for the Tigers I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteAnd no tailgating with HOTTIES, to boot. Damn you, HS football.
longest brive by old miss this year... glad we can help
ReplyDeleteGood field position, what can we do with it from an offensive standpoint?
ReplyDeleteJet- the twist that take 5 minutes to execute.
ReplyDeleteFannin can't hold the rock, period. That's why he is the player he is.
I could see the way Fannin was holding that ball it was coming out at some point.
ReplyDeleteWario! And a fumble! Wow!
ReplyDeleteWe get a break
ReplyDeleteBen Tate being saved for later?
ReplyDeleteThen we get a penalty
ReplyDeletePositive plays followed by a penalty, hmmm.
ReplyDeleteIs that lead official Penn Wagers, a.k.a. The Meth Ref?
ReplyDeletesit his but down... i
ReplyDeleteAnd the penalties start....is this the LSU game?
ReplyDeleteThird snap ... first penalty.
ReplyDeleteRUN FORREST RUN
ReplyDeleteNo Kodi-Cat yet
ReplyDeleteThat's a change
For some reason the Chris Todd runs in the past few weeks makes me think that even the coaches are afraid to make him throw.
ReplyDeleteThat took two weeks to get there.
ReplyDeleteSheesh.
Line needs to block...
ReplyDeleteA small win, Andre? Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteThe line can't pick up the number they sent.
ReplyDeleteTodd might need to put a little less air under that one.
hey its production... i will take it..
ReplyDeletebetter than a punt..
Mr. Obvious enters the building ...
ReplyDeleteA 3 and out would be nice here.
Yeah, points are points, I suppose. But 3 for every 7 of theirs isn't going to cut it.
ReplyDeleteSee if the defense blows a second drive. Offense can't get the ball down the field any longer. It's going to make for long game.
ReplyDeleteNice to see some early points. Bad news, defense is coming back onto the field.
ReplyDeleteByrum is a big bright spot so far this year.
ReplyDeletewe need to keep running the kickoff into the endzone and forced fumble play we did on the opening kickoff.
ReplyDeleteAgreed RK.
ReplyDeleteIs this the highest you'eve ever seen the grass at JH? I don't think i've ever seen it that high.
ReplyDeleteTodd is 12 yards away from passing his total yards from last week.
ReplyDeleteEltoro wasn't even hustling to chase down the play.
ReplyDeleteNice cushion on first down.
They are keeping the 9 yards per play thing going.
ReplyDeleteif el toro can keep dexter in check we may have an opp
ReplyDeleteI want to like Eltoro, I really do.
ReplyDeleteBut celebrating after you make a tackle for 2 yards like you just stopped them on the goalline late in a 14-10 game doesn't work well.
Ugh! Just missed
ReplyDeletePass rush ... non-existent.
ReplyDeleteThorpe should have made that play.
ReplyDeleteNow we get to return a punt!
ReplyDeleteUgh! Just missed again.
ReplyDeleteGood job D!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA defensive stop.
ReplyDeleteIt's been awhile. Please keep doing that.
Good stop D, but I'd love for them to actually have caught the ball there.
ReplyDeleteThat was Ole Miss' 1st 3rd down of the game.
ReplyDeleteas always we bring out the best in punters
ReplyDeleteRK - Baby steps.
ReplyDeleteKodiCat special #2
ReplyDeleteFirst down!
ReplyDeletehey zip on that ball
ReplyDeleteThere we go. Quick hits, quick hits are the way.
ReplyDeleteSolid start so far by the offense. Maybe we can get some confidence built.
ReplyDeleteFree 5!
ReplyDeleteA penalty? On the opponents? Call me shocked!
ReplyDeleteTZach lost it in the clouds
ReplyDeleteno
ReplyDeleteno
no
no
Week 1-5 that's a TD.
ReplyDeleteTodd cannot connect deep. Absolutely has no touch any longer.
ReplyDeleteCan't catch a break.
ReplyDelete3rd career catch by Burns?
ReplyDeleteO
ReplyDeleteM
G
SNORT!
Burns with the catch....nice!
ReplyDeleteWHAT?????????
ReplyDeleteA pass to Kodi Burns??
What?
ReplyDeleteKodi runs off balanced?
Todd went Dancin' 'Cross the USA there
ReplyDeletethat ball was higher than it was farther...
ReplyDeleteLower the shoulder
ReplyDeleteMay I suggest we take tackling lessons from Ole Miss?
ReplyDeleteDang Tate...so close, needed the 1st down there.
ReplyDeleteGood run by Tate, the O looking solid so far.
ReplyDeleteThird and short and we blow it again?
ReplyDeleteIf we line up with a quick snap, it's always a dive into the line.
ReplyDeletewhat a crappy spot
ReplyDeleteDo we not have an I formation QB sneak play at all?
ReplyDeleteGood god... I HATE RUNNING FROM THE SHOTGUN FROM SHORT YARDAGE PLAYS
ReplyDeleteOh, it was the right spot. It was a dreadful play call.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that Eddie.
ReplyDeletePractice some I-formation plays for short yardage.
I will never understand when you have inchs to go you use the shotgun and start 4 yards back??
ReplyDeleteGus' offense can be a beast, but sometimes I wonder if the other co-coordinator at Tulsa was the in game play caller?
ReplyDeleteWe needed a TD badly right there. THat is going to really hurt in about 4 minutes from now.
ReplyDeleteThe offense is looking quicker today. Really disappointed on that fourth down play, though.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI still think Mario should be our short yardage back. He hits the hole hardest.
ReplyDeleteBy snapping backwards 5 yards, you are giving the defense the one second necessary to get the push it needs. Plus, the back has to wait to start his drive toward the line. It is fatally flawed.
ReplyDeleteOur D is getting the tackle on players who don't even have the ball.
ReplyDeleteZac ain't moving.
ReplyDeleteMoment of silence for ZEth
ReplyDeleteAgreed Jet. We used to have an under center play and I know it was a dive, but a dive is better than that crap we just ran. Should have been running that play on 3rd down. Malzahn is going to have to learn that it just doesn't work very often in this league. The defensive front is way too quick and powerful to do that crap.
ReplyDeleteNo replay?
ReplyDeleteI rewound it and Zach dove in after the play was almost over and might have jammed his neck.
ReplyDeleteThis is very scary, i feel terrible for the kid right now
ReplyDeleteOn my DVR ... looks like Zac went head to head with Coleman.
ReplyDeletehas anyone seen any movement from Z??
ReplyDeleteThe tailback was under Zac most of that time. Weird deal.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, did you see AC hit Zac...this looks bad my friends, prayers sent
ReplyDeleteWow that was good to see.
ReplyDeleteOK, a thumb's up.
ReplyDeleteZEth gives the thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteGood sign.
Hang in there, man.
movement is good....
ReplyDeleteGetting chills when he put his finger up
ReplyDeleteScary moment there. I've been critical of Ethridge over the years, but you never want to see something like that happen.
ReplyDeletewe are going to need sneed to make some mistakes...
ReplyDeleteThose plays blow. Can't stand to see anyone down like that.
ReplyDeleteAnother player out in our secondary, good grief
ReplyDelete3 dropped picks now
ReplyDeleteOk, that's 3 passes and a fumble we should have had. It ain't our day again.
ReplyDeleteATTN: BATES
ReplyDeleteDON'T CELEBRATE UNTIL YOU'VE DONE SOMETHING YOU SPAZOID!
Gotta get these.
ReplyDeleteThird pick we should have had. We need those plays to go our way.
ReplyDeleteAlso on the injury front The Bull is out with an arm injury, supposed to return after getting taped up.
ReplyDeleteGood stop there.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonder we're not getting blown out when our defense can't tackle and can't catch balls that are practically thrown right to them.
ReplyDeleteToo many almost TO's today. AU has to make some of these plays to win today.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU SHANKAPOTOMOUS!
ReplyDeleteIf it helps these guys get fired up and play better, they can do the Hokey Pokey for all I care.
ReplyDeleteGood job there, now let's get down and take the lead.
ReplyDeleteDodged a huge bullet there. Thank you ole miss for continuing to try and pass the ball.
ReplyDeleteEveryone pray for Etheridge. I didn't like the way that looked at all.
ReplyDeleteDANG!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere was nothing - nothing - on that pass.
ReplyDeleteSomeone tell me why Trott is out there full time? Seriously.
ReplyDeletejeez... ct can not do much more on that play
ReplyDeleteSensi- That pass had enough on it. Trott didn't make the play. Offense stinks again.
ReplyDeleteLiving to punt...again
ReplyDeleteEveryone pray for Etheridge. I didn't like the way that looked at all.
ReplyDeleteMr. S ... if there were any more on the pass, would it have made it any more likely that Trott would catch it?
ReplyDeleteThe pass was fine. Trott's play is disappointing. Penalties are killing us. Along with three almost INTs.
ReplyDeletePenalties, dropped passes, missed TO's. Ole Miss is trying to keep Auburn in the game by passing the ball, and AU keeps shooting itself in the foot.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good pass to Trott. Just the right amount of umph on it in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteTodd has played decent thusfar toay.
good morning hotties.. i told the wife, as soon as we didnt get that fumble on the opening ko, it might not be our day. lots of fb to go, but we needed that. also, lets hope the players get good news at the half about Zac, and it fires them up.
ReplyDeletethey went out of the gun on 4th down cause working under center has worked SO WELL this year.
ReplyDeletetounge planted firmly in cheek
Feeling and movement for ZEth.
ReplyDeleteGood news.
How can you say there was nothing on that pass to Trott?
ReplyDeleteIt lead him perfectly right into those hands of stone.
Trott drops everything. Nothing new.
ReplyDeleteI'm just watching the ball wobble woblle out of CTs hands.
We started out very good looking today. Now our offense needs to get the zip back and lord help our d needs to catch those balls that are being thrown to it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nutt for continuing to throw the ball!!!
ReplyDeletethe bull is back
ReplyDeleteMake a play, Miss a play: The Eltoro Story
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the bull back into the game...not glad to see him whiff at that tackle on 2nd down.
ReplyDeleteThe Bull is getting his name mentioned a lot now. It is nice to see.
ReplyDeleteGREAT PLAY DEFENSE!
ReplyDeletewhat a hit! our d looks good right now.
ReplyDeleteGood stick by Stevens.
ReplyDeleteSensi- It's not wobbling right now. He is throwing it fine, no touch, but fine enough.
ReplyDeleteC'mon D!
ReplyDeleteSeeing some tackling today which is nice.
ReplyDeleteack
ReplyDelete
