PREGAME: Kentucky @ Auburn

Hey everyone. It's clear and 48 degrees here at Jordan-Hare Stadium. A stiff wind from the north makes conditions seem more biting than you'd think.

I'll update with information as it develops.

  • Bryan Matthews of AuburnSports.com tells me that 4-star OT Ed Christian, a former Florida State commit, is the most high-profile recruit on campus today. He's 6-foot-5 and plays for Lowndes (Ga.) High, which played on CBS College Sports last night. You probably can watch him on replay this weekend if you're interested.

  • K Wes Byrum, rumored to be injured, is fine and kicking.

  • WR Anthony Gulley is back from his concussion.

  • LB Eltoro Freeman is out there warming up.

  • CB Walt McFadden is out there warming up and appears fine.

  • Hot Carter will start at strong-side end ahead of Michael Goggans.

  1. It would tickle me for the Hogs to beat the Gators.

  2. me too...but not as much as beating Kentucky by 85 would.

  3. I wanna beat UK by 84 ... just like the 84 yard line.

  4. I don't agree with that call at all. Horrible call

  5. That's a god awful call.

  6. Arkansas gets screwed with another penalty

    ReplyDelete
  7. These SEC refs don't want to see their darling Gators to lose... ridiculous call.

    ReplyDelete
  8. SEC officials are the absolute worst.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I actually was thinking they had improved somewhat this year.

    ReplyDelete
  10. You guys didn't think the SEC was gonna let their darling lose to a group of peeps from Ozarks, did you?

  11. Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts, the Hogs are gettin' screwed.

  12. Good for Danielson to call the zebras out for that - and compare it to Tebow's fist pumping.

  13. How the hell was that not tuanting

    ReplyDelete
  14. I still can't believe Verne asked if that was an incomplete pass.

  15. Jet

    What's happened to your Trojans?

    Hating Bama, an Auburn tradition!!

  16. I fully expect the Hogs to be called for intent to commit delay of game.

  17. Jay4AU ...

3 INTs ... Catholic had a short field TD ... we got the ball to the 25 late, but turned over on downs.

    ReplyDelete
  18. How bout it...UF with the chance to escape!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Turn overs killed em in the ACA game also. And it didn't hurt that ACA played their most complete game of the year vs STJ

  20. Florida is going to win this one. Ark won't stop them on this last drive.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I've made several player updates on the main blog.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Good news on those.

    ReplyDelete
  23. FLA is gon'na win this one.......

  24. 30 mins. Major butterflies.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I/m a little nervous too after last week - but heard we had a good week of practice.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Eltoro coming out party in Auburn tonight. Everyone's invited.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Changing the mind of a big ol' OL would be sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  28. We heard that stuff about 'a good week of practice' all year long in '08.

And yet, when I hear it from this staff, I'm a little less suspicious.

  29. Can somebody help me find the game online?

  31. Arky should have won this game......

the announcer on XM stated " with its loss today to Perdue, Ohio state will probably drop out of the top 10"

and he was serious... I bet OK will still be ranked as the best 3 loss team in the country... this system sucks...

    ReplyDelete
  32. Good teams win when they play lousy.

Florida had a horrible game against a good team, but got it done in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Arkansas headed to the back of the bus...gotta love it. Now we just gotta take care of bidness.

    ReplyDelete
  34. On a related note, the SEC West is going to be absolutely brutal for the next few years.

  35. ftworthtiger-

    Try JustinTv

  36. Boise State would beat FLA... They do not have it this year...

    ReplyDelete
  37. I HATE FLORIDA

    AND THOSE REFS

    ReplyDelete
  38. Florida has a good team but not an unstoppable team like last year. They have the defense to keep them in the games and they have Tebow...I'd be afraid to count them out.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wake, save that hate for the Dark Pink Puddle...they are on soon.

  41. I do not have any skin in the arky/fla game and I still think the refs like home-cookin

  42. ND has one play and 42 secs left to tie USC

    ReplyDelete
  43. I would like to beat Florida this year....

    ReplyDelete
  44. 1st down ND...Dr Lou is going crazy I'm sure.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Damn, tough, tough catch.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Why is ND taking so long?

    ReplyDelete
  47. They blew :15 seconds off the clock.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Weis is an idiot.

What is with these playcalls? They had a 1st down at the 13 and should have had :35 to punch it in.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  50. What's up with Hot starting over Goggans?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Wow - Hot Carter starting......

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hmmm, maybe the negative pressure associated with the hog football team was not correct.

    ReplyDelete
  53. OK, now #20, #21 and #25 have gone down in defeat, and #15 was blown out at home by an unranked opponent.

Again, we may not deserve it, but we will almost have to be ranked next week if we beat the UKats.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hey Guys I hate Florida.

    And beat the cats

    ReplyDelete
  55. We should be ranked regardless if we are 6-1. That ain't no shabby record. I don't think we need to hope others loose. We just need to do that thing we do so well.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Brock Huard is a choad.

    ReplyDelete
  57. And I seriously hurt for the Razorbacks. They outplayed the Gators...

BTW, did you see the way UF rushed the field after the game? They acted like they'd just won the championship.

Instead, they completely escaped. At home. Against an unranked team.

    Unreal.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm home from the map meeting, btw.

    GO TIGERS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Is the game not on here in Atlanta!?!?!?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Uh, yea, umm, that is just the way I would do it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. The game is online here.
