Chattin' and Stattin': 2 p.m.

Hey everyone. Let's hold a Cover it Live-style chat this afternoon at 2 p.m. CST. I like the CiL deals because I can actually answer everyone's questions.

Campfires get chaotic at times and I miss good questions. I don't even see them as they pass by. I feel shame when that happens. Much shame.

  3. Sitting here in a meeting learning that we are going to have a lot of job cuts sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    Great morning so far.

  4. Michael, I feel the same way about opaqe, orangy toy submarines. Amazing someone else noticed that.

  6. RK,

Some companies have no heart....Mine included.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Jay G - I guess we are peas in a pod!
rk - that sucks man. Hope you make it through.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sucks RK. We dont' have job cuts planned, but we need to work to prevent that. It's nerve racking, but we are still surviving.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Will my charcoal gray suit, yellow dress shirt, and navy patterned tie qualify for formal?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jet - I can't speak for Jay's chat, but since that is far more than the "underwears only" requirement at the liveblog, you better not show your face.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 1st question for Jay G....Will we see Aycock this week? Next question, since Chizik and the Tigers are always choppin' wood, wear can I pick this up...I need some for my fireplace?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wood isn't as cheap as it once was. I'd say $150/cord for that wood. It's well-aged.

As for Aycock, I hear he's doing well in redshirt workouts.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Turns out I've got a meeting that conflicts anyway ... you kids have fun with that.

    I'll be otherwise preoccupied.

By the way, 30 minute of Alvin, 15 minutes to get my contracts for review, and 30 seconds of review.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I would love to hear this Alvin guy on a rant. I've never heard of him. You need to video it sometime, Jet, and post it on youtube.

Tux only? That leaves me out. I'm wearing scrubs.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jet, your comment reminds me that I'm all riled up over the inability for people to recognize the meaning of black tie. Our invitation clearly says "black tie" at the bottom, but I've gotten a half dozen calls asking if it meant tux, or if a dark suit would be okay (including one from my father, who would have to wear a tux-which he already owns- even if it was a less formal affair). Where did these people learn to dress, and are their internets broken? I google "black tie wedding" and several very specific pages come up. I'm up in arms.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Howdy Hotties from sunny Southern Pines, NC. At least I think it's still sunny. They keep me in a closet here.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Scrubs have been added to the acceptable forms of dress.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Silk suit, black tie,
    I don't need a reason why.

    ReplyDelete
  19. cufflinks, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I will be oblong in the dentist's chair bout chat time!!!

Dang teeth...old age has set in big time. Cracked a molar so today I get a crown.

    Ya Hoo ,$$$$$$$

    ReplyDelete
  21. Underwears. Boxers, whitey tighties, grandma panties, whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Jet-My senior year of HS in Montgomery is where I heard of AH. The cheerleader tryouts were held and only 10 girls were chosen, all caucasion. Alvin did not like it, so the settlement was every girl that made the semi final list was put on the squad. We had 20 cheerleaders that year.

    ReplyDelete
  23. You just watch Michael,

I bet somebody will show up and be rebellious....

    and go commando!

    ReplyDelete
  24. It's not just the SEC.

    From the HABOTN inbox:

DENVER – WAC Commissioner Karl Benson today announced the suspension of WAC football replay official Michael Goshima. Goshima was in the replay booth for last weekend’s game between San Jose State and Boise State.

The suspension was based on a play where a runner was ruled short of a first down and was confirmed by the replay booth after a review. After further inspection, the runner clearly made the first down and the call should have been reversed.

    ReplyDelete
  25. They come runnin' just as fast as they can ...

    ReplyDelete
  26. cause every girl's crazy 'bout a HABOTN man.

    ReplyDelete
  27. My next encounter was when he and others protested a the Capitol about the flag on top. There was a fence around the Capitol. National news was there since JJackson, JReed, AHolmes, the Lewis clown from GA and others. A few were arested for tryong to climb the fence to 'take the flag down'. I was standing about 25 yards from that group just spectating. As others got arrested, the TV crews were shutting down, AHolmes shouted to keep the cameras rolling and he grabbed the fence. He was so heavy he did not get 2 feet off the ground, but the po-po took him in. He got his 5 minutes of fame.

    Now back to fball.

    ReplyDelete
  28. missinit - I've got the same thing coming up in a week (for the 2nd time)

    ReplyDelete
  29. It's one thing to get it wrong on the field, but to get it wrong in the booth is just bad if the replay official had a clear view of the play.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Rivals still very high on Dyer and Reed committing. That's good to see.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So, now we can't even trust the replay officials???!!! If that's the case, we might as just scrap replay and let the play stand as called on the field.

    ReplyDelete
  32. My take on Alvin is this: he is actually a genuine, effective watchdog of the taxpayers' dollars, and probably understands as much or more about that than anyone here.

The problem is that he gets wound up in some rants, turning many of them into racial issues (that aren't) and makes many outlandish statements he knows aren't true. I know today he said something things that are demonstrably false.

His constituents, however, love him. Or least they have every quadrennium since 1974.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I concur. Scrap replay. Coaches make mistakes. Players make mistakes. Why can't the officials?

It was a better game without it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. My only problem with replay is that the officials have a very liberal view of indisputable evidence. I don't mind the guy in the booth failing to overturn something called on the field , alleged clear view or not, I just hate when they overturn something that is still even slightly questionable.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Eddie-just looked into your previuos post about the recruiting. Could be a nice day Friday and the next Friday for AU. I've stuck by it for a long time. I am ready for some pay off. Then this staff just has to keep'em tied up.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hey, Hotties!

I agree with Jet that Alvin does some good, although it is difficult to take some of the other with it.

I remember when the Demo national convention was in San Francisco and Alvin ranted on national TV about there being no African Americans working at his hotel. Of course, SF's larger minorities are Hispanic and Asian, and they had plenty of them employed--didn't matter to Alvin.

    Back to football--beat the Paladins!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Eddie, I like the ice hockey man cave.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Black tie in no way limits the possibility of me wearing my Birkenstocks, correct?

    ReplyDelete
  39. LUV I was trying to be cute and must have failed totally.
Queeks draw was trying to say Quick draw with a slight twist. I was saying Todd is going to shoot those Paladins down.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ephemeral, that is still not politically correct. The hotel should employ at least one black, even if they must pay for his relocation. Of course, referring to the guy a token is okay.

    ReplyDelete
  41. WTC- I agree. Time for some payoff. Coach Luper was on Jox this morning and said he was anticipating getting some very good news on the recruiting front over the next couple of weeks.

Luv- The hockey man cave was nice. It was one of my fav's as well except for the TV. All that for a small tv, they could have done better there.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Speaking of job cuts, I was a recipient about a month ago. I just got an offer in Eufaula that I'm going to take. Almost 100 miles closer to Auburn....so I got that going for me, which is nice.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Congrats ehyou. As for those of you being laid off, it should make you happy to know that Obama says the economy has turned the corner and doing well and universal health care is coming. Sure, you may not have a job, but you get free aspirin!!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Congrats ehyou!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Eddie,

Those are some pimped up man caves!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yes, congrats, ehyou! I don't know where Eufala is, but I hope you like it there.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Continuing the ZZ Top theme ...

Jay G just left Chicago ...

    ReplyDelete
  49. FSJ- You and Scottie are probably tops for man caves in Habotn that i've seen. Tho yours makes me want to puke ;).

    ReplyDelete
  50. Eddie, I just went back and looked. Wow. That tv is tiny! Yes, they really dropped the ball there, considering everything else.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Eddie-Look for a BIG weekend of current commits, those waiting to commit and SEVERAL 2011 targets to take place later on.

I like the advanced planning this group is doing.

If they pull this off, someone please call Longshore and ask him if he thinks the BC weekend, the limo, the billboards are worth it now. He is such a LOSER.

    ReplyDelete
  52. i'll take my All-American room any day over those caves. i do wish i had a bar & pool table, though. that's for house #2. it may be 20 years from now, though. i can picture it now..... :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Wonder where I can buy a pole like that for my next man cave?

    I am kidding.....

    I think.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I just knew one of you would say something about that one, FSJ!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Leave it to me..

    Had to be done.

    ReplyDelete
  56. WTC- Is this the December event that has been rumored? I hear it is going to be pretty big if so. I love what this staff is doing. I think it is great.

    ReplyDelete
  57. FSJ, I just read an article about how the LSU-UAT tix are among the priciest in the nation. Did you sell yours? You could make some serious jack!

    ReplyDelete
  58. yup. had to be done FSJ.

    ReplyDelete
  59. FSJ, I've often wondered about this....

Why do you enjoy HABOTN so much? You are such an integral part of this blog I couldn't imagine it without you.

I am sure SOMEWHERE out there there are bama fans like you but you are so atypical from any I come in contact with...(but then I do live in Georgia )

Seriously do you have a bama blog that you follow and comment on as much as you do here? Or is it that you find us irresistible, interesting, and intelligent, you know, the typical Auburn fan,:) ?

    Just curious!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Oh Luv..

I don't have season tickets. I gave them up during the Shula error...and due to the fact that I had a new baby at the time.

Now the waiting list is out of sight.

I pick and choose the games I want to attend and go to those. The LSU ones are too expensive from what I have seen.

    ReplyDelete
  61. missinit, excellent post! I have often wondered the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Interesting. There is another reporter who has a live chat one hour after this. Could this be the start of a live blogging war?

    ReplyDelete
  63. At their peak, they were as high as $550! Ridiculous! The article said prices were mainly based on fans' expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  64. missinit...

It's like this....I found HABOTN by accident. I "used" to read ITAT during football season. Sometime around late September or October of last year HABOTN was linked there and I clicked the link. The rest, as they say, is history.....Just kidding. I started reading and occasionally commenting. I made a decision to up front say I was a Bama fan. Nobody told me to leave or was even the least bit rude to me. In fact, people were downright friendly. Jay is a great writer, and there was also a good and honest discussion going on. Which is totally different from the message boards I follow.

This place is like I envision crack being. I'm addicted.

I really only follow one Bama board, which is Tiderinsider. I only read it for the recruiting articles and to read Cecil Hurt, who is a poster there. I rarely post anything there. In fact when we found out about my daughter's illness, this is the only board that I mentioned anything about it on.

I did used to be a member of a great mixed school board run by UT fans (Gridscape-Opponets). Freep was a member there too I think. However it imploded when all the stuff about Phil Fulmer came to light.

I also kinda like being the oddball. Must be a personality defect. :-P

    Y'all are stuck with me.

    ReplyDelete
  65. So, you are saying we are lacking in our hate?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Git outta here bammer! We don't like yer kind!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Actually, Steve..I look forward to the two weeks of hate coming up. I enjoyed that last year.

To be honest, I must admit that any stereotypes I had of Auburn fans or Auburn in general have been shattered in my time here.

I actually have enjoyed watching Auburn this year and honestly have a hard time rooting against them in any game other than one. I guess because winning makes you all happy...So I only hope y'all are miserable the day after Thanksgiving this year.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Great having you here, FSJ.

Far fetched hypothetical here, but is there any Bama board akin to HABOTN where I, as an Auburn fan, can attach myself to and post things as a respectful Auburn and be treated respectfully in kind?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Awhhhhh, FSJ

I know God broke the mould when he made you. There can't possibly be another bammer like you...and I mean that in a good way.....

And by the way give little Abbie a kiss and a hug from all of us, I'm sure she needs one today.

    .....heck, I need one today!

Y'all have fun now, ya hear! I'll be rectangular but I will have my "underwears" on!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. E-Bro...

    Not that I know of.

There are Auburn fans (and UT fans) on Tiderinsider, but they do are undercover. You only see them when things are going bad or there is bad news about something.

I wish there was a Bama board like this one. I think the tone that Jay and the posters here demand keeps things moving in the right direction.

    ReplyDelete
  71. FSJ, I almost had a tear my eye reading that...

    ReplyDelete
  72. We do have an excellent leader in Mr. Tate,

    ReplyDelete
  73. Thanks, FSJ.

I guess that sort of begs the question then: why doesn't the Advertiser's Bama beat writer start up a similar blog? Or has he?

Not calling the guy out (don't even know who it is) or anything, just wondering.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I would like to think I am the main reason the Hotties act so rationally compared to all other internet boards. If you don't agree, then GO SCREW YOURSELF!!!

As a side note, there are many other bama fans that aren't obnoxious. It's just something about the whole commenting on the internet thing that brings the crazies out of the woods, both bama fans and Auburn fans (checked Al.com recently? Not much of a difference if any between the moron Auburn and moron Alabama fans there)

    ReplyDelete
  75. E-Bro: No. I don't think that place exists.

    ReplyDelete
  76. As for our Alabama writer (Tim Gayle) doing a blog ... I don't think that's his bag.

    He's kinda old-school.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Thanks Luv and missinit.

E-Bro, I don't know. I have a feeling it has something to do with the fact that Jay is very techno-savvy and is ultra dedicated.

Not everybody is like that..and that's not a slam at anybody at the Advertiser, Press-Register or Bammerham News.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Michael, every school in the SEC (except maybe Vandy) has fans of an unsavory nature.

I guess I'd like to think it reflects well on Auburn that a place like the HABOTN does exist. Anybody know any other similar sites for any other schools across the conference?

    Thanks for the feedback, JayG.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Plus trying to come up with a super cool moniker like HABOTN is damned near impossible

    ReplyDelete
  80. I think Jay's presence in the comments section as a participator and not just Comment Behavior Authority Figure Dude has gone a long way in drawing people in and then getting them to behave once they get here. It is a good thing to be an accessible blogger.

    ReplyDelete
  81. E-Bro,

The Gridscape Opponets board was GREAT...except that it had a little more smack talk than HABOTN.

People were friendly and tailgated together though..Bama, Auburn, UT, & even a UF fan or two.

Heck, even Roy Adams was a member. But that all changed with the Fulmer stuff came out. The crazy people killed that off quick.

    ReplyDelete
  82. BTW, I think what Meyer did yesterday was pretty brilliant, and for the record, can't stand the guy.

But after seeing Spikes take a beating the first few days of this week, he turned all the attention back on him and off of his players. He might get fined or suspended, but it won't matter in the end (they are playing Vandy after all). He will have deflected much of the negative attention off of Spikes and the team can move on.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I have never found a blog of any other school that is as professional but yet casual as the HABOTN..either they have good info but little or no comments about the articles...or they are just sites from college kids talking about getting trashed before the games of the school they go to etc.
HABOTN truly is one of a kind
losers with socks, red cup rebellion don't compare
EDSBS is great info but not much commenting

    ReplyDelete
  84. I agree E-Bro...

All anyone is talking about today is his comments..

Did you see Kiffin's response when asked about them?

He must be a beat writer's dream.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Gayle is kinda one-room school.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I am trying hard with every fiber of my body to continue hating Kiffin... but he is really making it hard.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I guess when JayG takes over for Chris Low on ESPN.com, that will be the day that the SEC finally has a respectful online community for fans of every school to mingle at.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Kiffin "declined to comment"

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hey jhag, Brett Favre sucks!

    ReplyDelete
  90. what is this, an FSJ love board? HATE BABY HATE!!!

    GEAUX TIGERS!

whew. i feel better now. :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Actually jhag..he declined at first but came back and said some stuff..

    I'll dig it up.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yeah, FSJ, I caught that.

"Obviously, [Meyer] will discipline his team, or not, however he feels."

    ...Zing!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Leave it to scottie to be the hater...

Just for that I am going to abuse my HABOTN tshirt...

    ReplyDelete
  94. E-Bro,

I had Vandy fans talk trash to me in 2003, we hadn't scored a TD all year and they just came off waxing UTC by 50.

After we beat them (I think it was45-7) in 2003. Me and my brother were leaving the stadium and these guys on a rooftop were still ripping on us personally and on Auburn.

That's the only time I've ever dealt with bad Vandy fans.

Last year most of them just felt sorry for us as we were leaving.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Ok..so no sicko gets the wrong idea..I am going to abuse it with scissors...

    It's scotties fault..

    Just kidding.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Gosh, I'm loving me some LSwho this week. GO TIGERS!!!

FSJ - you're still more of a man than I'll ever be. You want us to be miserable only the day after T'giving? I don't want you to be miserable at all. That's why I'm issuing a personal invitation to come over to the Good Side! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  97. i don't hate i retaliate just by being great.

nah, i hate. and i love it.

u harm that shirt and karma will come back and get you FSJ. you've been warned!

    ReplyDelete

  99. Brutal, RK. Just brutal. It'd be one thing if they flaunted their diplomas, but their football team?

Editor's Note: Yes, I remember we lost to them last year, but while I don't love or hate Vandy football, I do 'nothing' it.

    ReplyDelete
  100. yeah, that Favre guy stinks.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yeah jhag, but even Danny Kannel would have those numbers if he played as many games as Favre!

    ReplyDelete
  102. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...who else has the fortitude to play that many games then?

    ReplyDelete
  103. whoa jhag...

I like to say that I saw Favre before he was Favre..

I saw him beat our butts in Gene Stallings' first game at UA. Hottest game I can remember too. Upper deck at Legion Field...Hotter than the pits of hell..lost..and car was blocked in after the game.

    Just great.

    ReplyDelete
  104. The HABOTN needs more drunk co-eds.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Sonny Jurgensen and Sammy Baugh would have those numbers if they were playing now. Well, Sonny would. Sammy would have a hard time standing up in the pocket since he passed away last year.

Come to think of it, Sammy was obviously better passer than Favre. Has Favre passed away?! I DON'T THINK SO!

    ReplyDelete
  106. FSJ, my first AU game at JHS was in '88 against Southern Miss and Favre.

    ReplyDelete
  107. jhag, how about Favre's interception statistics? How do they match up against the worst of all time? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  108. Maybe I am biased (and I love Favre) but if I had to pick one QB to go 80 yards to win the game...

Give me Montana any day of the week.

    ReplyDelete
  109. he also is the best interception thrower!!!

    ReplyDelete
  110. All i know his Favre is 40 and just threw for 4 td's this past week

    ReplyDelete
  111. Oh there's no doubt that Favre is the Nolan Ryan of football.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Favre is tarnishing his legacy though, jhag!

    ReplyDelete
  113. scottie...

    Y'all won that one..right.

I know he beat both UA & AU...and for some reason I thought it was in the same year but I could be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  114. yeah, we won in '88. USM got us in '90 and '91, though.

    ReplyDelete
  115. All I know is Favre stole Mary away from Ted and Dom.

    I guess he's no longer "Pac-Man".

    ReplyDelete
  116. how does Favre rank among drunk co-eds?

    ReplyDelete
  117. For a game winning drive - I'll take Elway

    ReplyDelete
  118. i'm sure he tops that chart too PF. well, at least he did 10 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  119. How about this hypothetical. The opposing team is 80 yards away from a touchdown that wins the game and breaks your heart. Who do you want quarterbacking that team that ensures they don't score and your team wins?

I might go with...Buck Belue (assuming he doesn't have Herschel or Lindsay Scott).

    ReplyDelete
  120. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  121. E-Bro...

I'll go with 2008 Jonathan Crompton..

    2009...not so much.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Why not Mike Shula scottie?

    :-P

  123. Editor's Note: you have to pick a QB that was on a half-decent team at some point and isn't a total waste of space (i.e., any Vandy QB ever aside from Cutler).

    ReplyDelete
  124. Wow that's a WHOLE bunch of stats for just one super bowl ring. :D

    ReplyDelete
  125. That's what I was thinking at first, FSJ. You might also consider 2009 Jevan Snead, though I do think he is handicapped by a poor offensive line and takes more criticism than he probably deserves.

    ReplyDelete
  126. well that changes things E-Bro.

    I'll go with Stan White..

No way, IMO that Auburn wins the 93 game if Stan doesn't get hurt.

He's made a career out of that season...but Patrick Nix (and the receiver...was it Frank Sanders) won the game.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Trent Dilfer. Man won a superbowl on his defense's back. But nobody wants him to have to win the game for them.

    ReplyDelete
  128. yup, my boy Frank Sanders (check my Facebook pics) and James Bostic won that '93 game. good times.

    ReplyDelete
  129. FSJ ...

That's why you will find underneath layers of sod near the 35 yard line at the north end of Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium, a pellet fired from a secret sniper's perch that was actually the source of the Stan's injury.

    Just sayin'.

  130. Michael Vick is my answer.

    ReplyDelete
  131. To answer the question, Tony Romo.

    ReplyDelete
  132. oh, and Mike Shula=BOOOOOO. heckuva coach, though.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Yes, FSJ, it was Frank Sanders.

Stan White might have built a career off of that (and the 1990 Tennessee game), but he's still a good guy. Always liked him.

    ReplyDelete
  134. How bout Brian Burgdorf?

    ReplyDelete
  135. Jet..

When Stan went down, honest to goodness..I turned to my roommate and said that was the worst thing that can happen to us.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Oh..I am sure he's a good guy E-Bro.

Jay made a career out of the 92 defense...and the 1994 UGA game.

It happens. He's a good guy too.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Fran Tarkenton or Archie Manning

    ReplyDelete
  138. Burgdorf was a jerk.. I played basketball against him before we attended Bama.

He also lived in my apartment complex.

    ReplyDelete
  139. That '94 Bama-UGA game had some of the worse secondary play (by UGA) I've ever seen if I remember correctly.

    Great game, though.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Later Hotties. Out for now. Sorry I'll miss the Q&A.

    ReplyDelete
  141. The thing people don't remember from that game is that Proctor kicked a field goal that bounced off the upright and through with time expiring in the first half to make the score 21-10 UGA....that ended up being the difference because we won by 2.

You are right though...Toderick Malone was wide open the entire second half.

  142. Nobody is going to mention Jamie Howard for opposing QB?

    ReplyDelete
  143. was he the QB during the AU/LSU game where Curley Hallman kept throwing the ball?

    ReplyDelete
  144. Howard helped make Brian Robinson & Chris Shelling All-Americans. so thank you Jamie Howard. thanks a million.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Ken Alvis- I thought he would be All-American. OH well.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Can't believe that nobody mentioned Brodie Croyle (in the fetal position).

    Honk if you sacked Brodie.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Brodie had a good 2005 season. he just couldn't outrun the Predator McClover....or anyone else on the Auburn defense that day.

    ReplyDelete
  148. and since you asked....

HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK, HONK.

there you go, all 11 of them. :)

man, i'm feeling the hate today aren't i?

    ReplyDelete
  149. scottie...

My two best friends and I watched that game with an Auburn fan that is a friend of ours...

Worst football experience of my life.

In fact it was soooooooo bad that we vowed revenge because of that, even though it took three more years to accomplish.

He got married in the summer of 2008. At his bachelor party he passed out cigars to all of us. My two bammer friends & I all three looked at each other and said...no we are saving these until we beat Auburn. We made sure he was engulfed in cigar smoke after last year's game.

  150. I'm really happy fa-you.

    Imma let you finish ...

    BUT ... Chat starts at 2 p.m.

    Be there or be rectangular.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Opposing QB - Tim Tebow anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  152. I was in the Upper Deck for the Sack Game. Great view of all the sacks from up there. That was THE BEST AU-UAT game I've ever been to. Granted, I haven't been to nearly as many as all of you.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Benton / Blake / Hawthorne- A couple of catchable balls thrown their way might ease the drought.
