We have discussed health care, soccer, Brittany Murphy, sweaters, Rick Stansbury, Meo Stansbury, single life and other stuff. And that was just the first segment.
Sorry for not live blogging the live blog. PF is supposed to do that when I am not around. Boy, he really dropped the ball on that one. Everyone point your anger at Frankenbummer.
Posted this on the last post, but I was playing by myself.
We went to a party the other night at my hubby's boss' house. Apparently the boss's roommate in college is the brew master for Abita beer. They had so many kinds of Abita beer. Did you know they make a Christmas beer? Sounded good, but you know I don't like beer.
Scott C, I don't want to rain on your parade, but he was referring to Jay G's original post. That is, unless he is referencing two different "you"s in the first and second paragraph without identifying a new proper noun which the "you" would point to. That is just unlike Feng to be that sloppy.
So, MJT, you're telling me that Feng/Rahul/simi cares more about JGT's radio appearance than my Bowl Pick'Em status? I'm starting to seriously doubt my decision to provide him with my credit card information and social security number.
TCU's Gary Patterson is AP Coach of the Year By The Associated Press December 23, 2009, 11:35AM
In a close vote released Wednesday, Patterson received 21 votes from the AP college football poll panel to edge Brian Kelly. The former Cincinnati coach, now with Notre Dame, received 19 votes and Alabama's Nick Saban got 14 votes.
Chip Kelly of Oregon received three votes and Boise State's Chris Petersen and Texas' Mack Brown each got one vote.
The following is an e-mail we received at The Vent this morning after Jay G's appearance. The author is an Alabama alumnus and one of our most loyal listeners.
------
I've decided listening to Tate is kind of like watching college football. It's so enjoyable you want to do it everyday, all year, but then you realize that part of what makes it so special is the limited number of appearances make you appreciate it so much more.
Merry Christmas, David
--------------
That's why our boy is a regular part of our show. And that's why he's so important to us.
Merry Christmas to Jay G & the Tate family and all the Hotties. And a belated Happy Hannaukuh (sp?) to big snacks, irrespective of the Lucero-related cheap shot.
(Pssssst: y'all can listen when Jay G's not on, too.)
I didn't know lunch was going to be catered at today's work site. So now I'm on my 2nd lunch. This one is NC barbecue, green beans, slaw, scalloped potatoes (is that what it's called), fried chicken. There are also a bunch of desserts I probably won't have room for. And of course, washing it all down with sweet tea.
Went to Dreamland-Gump with the ex-boss (Faker, I believe you've met him), and we split a slab. It was pretty good. The bread and sauce was extra tasty.
i just missed a call from my sister even though I've got "bars out the wazoo". It's a frequent problem with my Verizon Palm phone, the calls don't come through at all, then I immediately get a "missed call" message.
Speaking of BBQ I stopped by Pruett's last night and must say it is better than it has been the past few years. FSJ you need to let me know when the BBQ cook-off is in Gadsden, I would like to come by and meet you.
HOTTIE HO..... Glad she is here and safe and sound. God bless her for her trials and tribulations. MERRY CHRISTMAS to THT and family from the IV family. See you soon in Tampa. WAR EAGLE!!!!!
To all of the HOTTIES, especially our leader Mr. Jay G. Tate and his family, Good Tidings of great joy. May you have everlasting peace and hope. I wish for all of you a special time with your families. Thank you Jay for bringing us Christmas 365 with your reports on our favorite team. Merry Christmas everybody and a very Happy New Year with a big Auburn win.
Hope to see some of you in Tampa! I'm going to try to visit the official HABOTN section. I'll probably be back on the HABOTN next week for a couple of days, if anyone wants to share any other seating or tailgating info for the OB Bowl. I am in Sec 237, row V, not sure about seat number.
HATE!
ReplyDeleteDangit
ReplyDeletethe HATE....it feels good.

ReplyDeleteMichael!!! I missed your live blogging of the blog the other night.
ReplyDeleteSorry for not live blogging the live blog. PF is supposed to do that when I am not around. Boy, he really dropped the ball on that one. Everyone point your anger at Frankenbummer.
ReplyDeletePF's shame.
ReplyDeleteMichael,
ReplyDeleteYou said my stock would drop. It kept rising, rising, rising. You can't do that forever.
Ok... Jay has to tell the Tom Murphy story.
ReplyDeleteI can fill up a notebook in that time period.
ReplyDeleteI hope your wife isn't listening, Jay
ReplyDeleteMariska Hargitay is Jane Mansfield's daugther.
ReplyDelete...and she is rather nice.
ReplyDeleteRK..
ReplyDeleteThat would explain the sweater reference.. :-P
As I recall, Jay G is a fan of Meo Stansbury. Right?
ReplyDeleteI do agree that Leno is awful.
ReplyDeleteLeno's headlines are pretty funny...
ReplyDeleteBut the rest of the show blows.
J. Kev thanks all of you on the air for your remarkable support.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more.
Awesome people, you are.
Most of you.
Hugh Grant is the only reason Leno wasn't canned years ago.
ReplyDeleteLetterman was beating his butt until Leno got that interview.
If I don't disconnect, would I have to hear another Lucero interview?
ReplyDeleteI love Meo Stansbury.
ReplyDeleteAny wife who is that hot, that spunky and that into her husband's career gets my respect.
LOL PF.
ReplyDeleteMost of you....hahaha. snort.
ReplyDeleteLeave the snorting to Monica.
ReplyDeletePosted this on the last post, but I was playing by myself.

beer is gross.
ReplyDeleteJay some fuun stuff there, A list for confession now that can't be real.
ReplyDeleteSeveral Breweries do Christmas Brew. Anchor Steam's is really good, too.
ReplyDeleteShe left. I'm stealing her trademarks. Because they're funny. In an ironic sort of way.
ReplyDeleteI guess some snort is better than no snort.
ReplyDeleteIn an ironic way? Please explain.
ReplyDeletei HATE when i get interrupted and miss most of the HATE segment. that's just the way my day is going today. oh, well.
ReplyDeleteYou mean in an ironic snort of way!
ReplyDeleteJay, it's like a death row pardon two minutes too late.
ReplyDeletehave you ever tried snorting irony? It burns!
ReplyDeletelike rain....on your wedding day?
ReplyDelete10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife?
ReplyDeleteWell, what would she do in a theater?
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry. Wrong song.
Another secondary violation out of Tennessee...
ReplyDeleteNot what you are thinking

ReplyDeleteI'm not clicking on that crap.
ReplyDeleteRahul/simi - greetings and welcome.
ReplyDeleteTry out one of my favorite web sites:

Feng, you bloodsucking chameleon!
ReplyDeleteFSJ, someone needs to put an end to those shenanigans at Vanderbilt. They have been bending the rules to land huge recruits for far too long.
Hey, quit ragging on Rahul/simi! He said I had a "useful post".
ReplyDeleteMight I suggest ...

Doesn't seem almost mean to hand Vandy a secondary violation?

ReplyDeleteGo away Rahul, you will get no clicks from us.
ReplyDeleteFor Vandy, it would be a tertiary violation.
ReplyDeleteSo was anyone brave enough to click on thr simi posted whatever.
ReplyDeleteNot none of me
just wondering how venturous some of the Hotties were.
not that venturesome, digger.
ReplyDeleteMe neither. May be a naked female except for bomb tide to her upper torso
ReplyDeletebomb the tide! Great idea, digger!
ReplyDeleteBomb the Tide. Nice
ReplyDeleteTexas may stick one of those lonhorns where the sun never shines.
ReplyDeleteOnly 3 hours and 18 minutes left in 2.0's flight from Munich.

ReplyDeleteIV - I'm counting down the minutes. The little plane should show back up on the flight path shortly as it nears Newfoundland.
ReplyDeleteda plane! da plane! I see da plane!
ReplyDeleteShouldn't they have renamed Newfoudland by now? It ain't all that new anymore. More like Oldfoundland.
ReplyDeleteHappy Festivus everyone, by the way.
ReplyDeleteSimi,
ReplyDeleteRemember what happened last time you and Akeem came to America? It ened up ruining a beautiful planned wedding in your native Zamunda.
she's almost back in the good old USA.
ReplyDeletePerhaps its break time at McDowell's and he's been given the chance to peruse our most wonderful blog
ReplyDeleteI guess everyone's gone to Greensboro.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I will be banished to the King's suite at the Waldorf Astoria and bathed suitably.
ReplyDeleteHey Michael.
ReplyDeleteWhatsup?

ReplyDeleteKentucky looks like they're still a little hung over from the whole UK2K extravaganza on Monday.
ReplyDeleteTied with Long Beach St. at half at Rupp. Of course, Patterson and the Great Wall of Kentucky were in foul trouble the last ten minutes.
Went to Dreamland-Gump with the ex-boss (Faker, I believe you've met him), and we split a slab. It was pretty good. The bread and sauce was extra tasty.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we got a blog dealing with a downbeat bball season, and no football distress.
ReplyDeleteYeah, 2.0 may be just about down on the ground in the good old USA. War Eagle, hey.
ReplyDeleteWho is that Jet?
ReplyDeleteTHT,
ReplyDeleteHave you been able to get 2.0 on her American cell phone yet?
The ex-LG with whom you rode on a plane.
ReplyDeleteBEASLEY!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you meant GOFF!, Michael
ReplyDeleteIV - I'll be trying in about 5 minutes.
i just missed a call from my sister even though I've got "bars out the wazoo". It's a frequent problem with my Verizon Palm phone, the calls don't come through at all, then I immediately get a "missed call" message.
ReplyDeleteGotcha..
ReplyDeleteYou have me craving Dreamland sauce now.
thanks J-Kev. merry christmas to you too bro.
ReplyDeleteFooballcoachscoop.com reporting that Tommy Thigpen has interviewed with Florida regarding opening on staff to coach safeties.

ReplyDeleteYou look at our recruit list and you find Thigpen's fingerprints all over it.
ReplyDeleteSure thing digger..
ReplyDeleteI'll have to dig up the date.. It is sometime in April.
I was actually at Pruett's today for lunch.
I agree. It is better than when Stan's ex ran the place.
I hope we don't lose Thigpen but if he wants to go I wish him good luck
ReplyDelete2.0 had one thing to say:
ReplyDelete"HOTTIE HO!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The eagle has landed.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas everyone!
ReplyDeletethanks, mytommyd! You do the same.
ReplyDeleteSee you in Tampa!!!

ReplyDeleteBy the way Faker, I hope Abbie gets that Auburn chearleader outfit she wants so bad. Merry Christmas honorable foe.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Brian Kelly and Donkeykong Suh in the AP polls.
ReplyDeleteI guess I missed on Patterson. He was my second pick.
IV...
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you this if you promise to not tell anyone...
I took her to ride the train and see the Christmas lights at Noccalula Falls the other night..
After the ride we went into one of the buildings where they were letting kids decorate cookies....Abbie chose Orange and Blue colors for her cookie.
I was horrified.
FSJ - I'm so impressed with your parenting skills. It is always admirable when you can teach your child not to make the same mistakes you made.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
