wow
ReplyDeleteNo substance?
ReplyDeleteHot Dog.
ReplyDeleteA Hot Dog is cholesterol substance.
ReplyDeleteNorthwestern works for me. Now I don't have to worry about Wisconsin flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteI think we can win this one, I wasn't too sure about Wisconsin.
ReplyDeletewow, I figured it would be Wisconsin. Should still be a good game with Northwestern, they've improved dramatically over the last few years.
ReplyDeleteWildcats. That should be very interesting. Have we ever played them?
ReplyDeleteAU Undercover claims it's Wisconsin! Shoddy journalism!
ReplyDeleteWe should show up well against NW. This is a more interesting matchup.
ReplyDeleteI was dreading watching a game where the the huge Wisconsin linemen try to tire out our shallow team.
I agree RK. I would be more worried about Wisconsin than Northwestern, even though the beat Wisconsin. I think we match up better against Norhwestern.
ReplyDeleteJGT doesn't write it if it ain't true.
ReplyDeleteJust in case, I checked the Outback Bowl website ...it's NW.
I like the match-up!! I didn't want the Badgers just for the simple fact we have history against them. Great to see New Blood in the bowl. I REAALLllY like it.
ReplyDeleteYeah but if we win, we beat Northwestern?
ReplyDeletemartini, I've said several times that they report things on a hunch just to be first...no substance. ESPN employees, too. Geez. :-)
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Northwestern is terrible at running the ball, but pretty decent at passing.
ReplyDeleteNot your normal Big Ten M.O.
A Jan. 1 bowl win - is a win. Be it Harvard, Marshall or even NorthWestern..... I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteI do love twitter. I didn't understand it at first, but it is very handy for getting quick updates. My instant messaging program, pidgin, has a plugin that receives the tweets. They should up like any other IM.
ReplyDeleteI like purple. I don't like red.
ReplyDeleteNorthwestern beat Iowa.
ReplyDeleteE-Bro - AU and NW have never met on the gridiron
ReplyDeleteI am sure the cornpones will tell you that Northwestern should be ranked ahead of Iowa and if we beat Northwestern, we should be too.
ReplyDeleteNorthwestern won AT Iowa.
ReplyDeleteAnd Syracuse beat Northwestern
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'll be staying home and watching the game on TV. Winter Classic is on too!
ReplyDeleteTherefore Syracuse should be ranked ahead of Iowa. Hey Jay, maybe you should change your ballot. I would go with this logic.
ReplyDeleteThanks THT.
ReplyDeleteI'm just happy Auburn is playing in a bowl game. A New Year's Day Bowl is just a bonus. I don't care who they are playing, but I think NW is a good matchup.
ReplyDeleteAny juniors who can leave for the NFL?
ReplyDeleteI think Bynes could get drafted but if he stays his draft stock will go out the Roof
I like out chances. A team with depth problems can really use the break before the bowl game.
ReplyDeletejhag, I would guess we don't loose any juniors to the NFL, but that is only a guess.
ReplyDeleteI'd be surprised...nay, shocked, if any juniors left.
ReplyDeleteI think Northwestern is a much better matchup for Auburn than Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteIn general, I like it when we play Big 10 teams.
ReplyDeleteShocked is an understatement E-Bro,
ReplyDeleteUSC VS Boston College in Emerald Bowl lol
ReplyDeleteI at least thought Powers was pretty decent, though.
ReplyDeleteWas I surprised? Yes.
Shocked? No.
Iowa State to Insight Bowl nice work Paul
ReplyDeleteYeah Powers has started all year for the Colts, impressive
ReplyDeleteQUICK VOTE
ReplyDeleteWhat bowl game will Auburn play in this season?
Chick-fil-A Bowl
Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl
Autozone Liberty Bowl
Advocare Independence Bowl
Papajohns.com Bowl
That is what is still on al.com. HAHAHAHAHA
List of only possible early departures I can think of:
ReplyDeleteIsom, Ziemba, Stevens, Blanc, Bynes.
I'm VERY impressed with Powers this year.
ReplyDeleteI liked Powers a lot, mainly because of how physical he was. I was disappointed he left, but not surprised.
ReplyDeleteE-Bro, I really hope none of those go.
ReplyDeleteI think it could be a much closer game than anyone thinks. When Penn St. played NW, it was close until the 4th quarter.
ReplyDeleteBlackmon leaving was a shock to me. I think it was personal issues that drove it, but he could really have used one decent season.
ReplyDeletePF...me too.
ReplyDeleteLuv...have others claimed an easy win is on the books? I think Auburn has a fair chance of winning, but I don't think anyone can say Auburn does anything easy this year.
I don't see Bynes being big on the NFL draft board right now. Just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteRK...agreed. I don't see any juniors being big on the NFL's draft board.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of those guys (Fannin included) can make a living in the NFL, but a year ahead of time? I just don't see it.
Concerning that Ron guy coming in here earlier and telling Jay G off: is sports journalism really that cut-throat of a world? Does he not think that there's any chance that comes back to him? What are the typical repercussions if your editor finds out you're spouting off on other reporters' websites?
ReplyDeleteNeed a ticket to the Outback Bowl? Or up to 5 tickets?
ReplyDeleteSit in JAY G. TATE'S OFFICIAL HABOTN SECTION* with other Hotties, cheering on your Auburn Tigers!!! These tickets are available at cost, $80, which includes shipping. These seats are in Section 232, on the Auburn side of the stadium, and with the sun at your back. Contact me via email (see my blog profile).

PF, judging by the profound quality of Ron's argument, I think it likely he will find job opportunities in the food service industry, so it really doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteTrue. He's been a sports reporter for 10 years, yet is working for the Alton Herald, or whatever the heck his profile said. Still, I was shocked to see that he was in that profession and spouting that personal nonsense at Jay G.
ReplyDeleteWonder if how hard it would be to get to Pasadena from Tampa?
ReplyDeletehmmmm..................
By the way, I apologize to any member of the food service industry for any offense that may have been unintentionally delivered by my previous post.
ReplyDeleteYou can fly from Tampa to Los Angeles for 147 if you wait until Monday the 4th. That gives you two days at Mons Venus.
ReplyDeleteSo, who has decided to waist two hours of their lives by watching the bowl selection show by not just waiting until it is over and taking a look at a list of the bowls online?
ReplyDeleteI like the matchup for Auburn against NW...
ReplyDeleteI've wasted hours of my life a lot more frivolously than the bowl selection show.
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteDepends on if anything else is on worth watching...
That is my preferred spelling of waist, not to be confused with waste. Yea, I spell the words right, but sometimes the wrong words:)
ReplyDeleteWhat do y'all think the early line on Texas-Bama will be?
ReplyDeleteNorthwestern thinks that they are the hottest team in CFB. They beat Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin all in November.
ReplyDeleteEvidently, NW struggled when their QB was injured. Now he is well.
NW is a passing team with a good passing defense.
Well, I'll be watching the season finale of Amazing Race, because I'm whipped.
ReplyDeleteThe BCS selection show is only 30 minutes on FOX. After that, the two hour thing on ESPN starts. Everything will be final and public before ESPN starts their coverage.
ReplyDeletePF - LGG Byron will be watching Amazing Race.
ReplyDeleteNew thread UPZ.
ReplyDeleteI've set the DVR to record the show. I'll watch the 15 min. of substance and fast forward through the filler.
ReplyDeleteHow about Mike Vick today? Some homecoming with his first two TDs in over three years in Atlanta. Judgeing by the crowd's reaction, they still love him there.
