We'll be talkin' Auburn, the Heisman Trophy, Tiger Woods, Tim Tebow, Doug Barfield. The usuals.
Be there or be rectangular.
SCHEDULE UPDATE
Auburn has released its practice schedule for the next few weeks. There is good news for j00. A few of those practices will be open for 30 minutes, which means you'll get some practice video. Aren't you excited? Maybe we'll get some footage of scout-team stalwarts PPL and Tyrik Rollison.
Dates: Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Dec. 18), Saturday (Dec. 19), Monday (Dec. 21), Tuesday (Dec. 22).
Then they're off until Tampa.
HATE!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBOOM SHAKA-LAKA!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletedude, i'm so down for some Doug Barfield talk. he's actually cool. i got a nice letter from him last year.
ReplyDeletewow, i've got a whole new thread all to myself. i should go all Stewie on this thing.
ReplyDeleteDoug Barfield is a former coach, I think he's off limits.
ReplyDeleteOK.... what is it going to take for PPL to get some substance?
ReplyDeleteJGT he was one of the fastest on the team at one point?? Has his knee injury slowed him down that much??
ah, that's right....no former coaches.
ReplyDeleteOff limits. You're right.
ReplyDeleteDamn!
TR is practicing?
ReplyDeleteI think PPL is shrinking.
ReplyDeleteEric Smith practiced when he was suspended.
ReplyDeleteshrinking? like he was 5'8" but now he's 5'6"?
ReplyDeleteIf JKev is checking in, I want to hear "Dead Flowers" or "Let It Bleed" if you are playing the Stones.
ReplyDeleteHe's short, man. I should have gotten a pic of his mingling with kids at the AU-UVA game.
ReplyDeleteSo Jay G, you are a fan of the NFL network broadcast?
ReplyDeleteMatt Millen is awful, their graphics are bad and their camera work is all over the place.
So PPL could play DB or RB under Terr....a coach we had a little over a decade ago.
ReplyDeleteAny idea where the team will be practicing in Tampa? Will practices be open at all?
ReplyDeleteI think Auburn will be practicing at University of Tampa.
ReplyDeleteI doubt they will be open.
ReplyDeleteNFL Network: When I still was on cable, my provider was shady and declined to pay for the games. So when the network aired games, all I got at my house was some 1970s NFL Films marathon. I was unhappy.
ReplyDeleteI freed myself of that nonsense and now get the NFL Net games on Dish Network. Every time a game comes on, I feel like I'm sticking it to my unnamed, former cable provider. It makes me happy.
i fell asleep last nite on the couch watching 30 Rock. never saw one play of the NFL game. oh, well.
ReplyDeleteAll by my lonesome this morning?
ReplyDeleteGotcha.
ReplyDeleteI just think with them being the NFL Network their coverage of an NFL game would be better.
Well if you are a Steelers fan like me, you'll wish you never saw a play of the game...if you hate the Steelers then you would have loved it.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, The Office was great last night for those who watched it.
ReplyDeletethe deuling Santa's were funny RK.
ReplyDelete"You can't yell, "I need this! I need this!" as you pin an employee down on your lap."
ReplyDeleteAlso Creed asking Santa if since he's had done not bad, but evil acts this year if he'd be on the bad list was great.
ReplyDeletePlease don't reveal plot points.
ReplyDeleteI was watching football. Pam Halpert and Liz Lemon await me on the DVR.
Will stop discussing until you watch.
ReplyDeletecrap JG, you just ruined my next 5 posts. :(
ReplyDeleteReminds me: Must check jennafischerfan.org.
ReplyDeleteI hate shi....I mean Pittsburgh.
ReplyDeleteAgain, not necessarily the team...but the fans are out of control.
Oh, since I'm a fan, I see how it is Sean. I see how it is.
ReplyDeleteGo Panthers!
ReplyDeleteGO Penguins!
Steelers & Pirates...whatever.
You know, RK, I'll give you a pass since you're kind of a big deal around here...
ReplyDeletefwiw, the nfl network has the clearest picture of any HD program on DTV. I switched between them and espn a while ago and the nfl definitely had the best pics.
ReplyDeleteAll the announcers are morons on every network, so that is a moot point.
I'm the only person on the Internets who went from looking at pictures of Megan Mullally (hot!) to drum covers of SOAD's "Chop Suey."
ReplyDeleteCoosa: I think you're right. The picture was incredible.
ReplyDeleteWorst HD for me: NBC. It pixelates way too often.
What up guys and gals?
ReplyDeleteHow many Jay G. Tates are on this morning?
ReplyDeleteI was testing new avatars.
ReplyDeleteI'm settling with the Hey Bulldog achievement from Beatles: RB.
The NFL Network picture is great, I'll agree with that.
ReplyDeleteThe actual camera work, graphics and broadcasters are awful.
You're pretty talkative this morning, too. Not that we don't like to read your opinion, but I don't think I've ever seen you post that often in such a short time span
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't mean I think you should never post again though as I kill the thread during the radio show.
ReplyDeleteApparently Tuberville is campaigning for the Kansas job..
ReplyDeleteTubs
Thanks for that link, Faker.
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome. This just in: Tuberville can move on a moment's notice. He's a free agent.
Our previous coach knows that 8-4 every year with a jump to 10 or 11 wins every now and then would be fine at Kansas.
ReplyDeleteI like that the guy who was here prior to the Chiz is working on his offensive philosophy.
ReplyDeleteThat's probably something he should have been figuring out years ago.
Former coach talk is verboten!
ReplyDeleteSouthern Beverage using Whipping Post as their background music, nice!
ReplyDeleteAt least, mentioning by name is. Disguised references are cool.
ReplyDeleteJGT I didn't know you were a Tiger Woods doubter.
ReplyDeleteI have aways wondered about his pureness. The main sports media have fallen so deep on him it makes me sick sometimes.
BEN NICHOLS!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, some Allman Brothers Band!
ReplyDeleteSome dude from some band will be on with JKev.
ReplyDeleteCheck it out. Sounds huge.
LOL..I thought so too Jay...
ReplyDeleteHe don't have a snowball's chance of getting that job...and really..why would anybody this side of Dennis Franchione want it?
I don't understand Harbaugh's interest either.
Don't forget to sign up for the HABOTN Bowl Pick'em! This can be found on Yahoo!

Tiger seemed like a fraud to me for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI know he's a great golfer. Anyone that consumed with protecting their image can't be real. Jim Bob Duggar -- that's real. He's walkin' the walk.
Tiger? Get real.
I read a few of the comments on the KC Star blog and the fans seem generally excited that Tub's would be interested in the job.
ReplyDeleteIf he wants it, I hope he gets it and I wish him the best.
Exactly Jay..
ReplyDeleteJohn Daly is real....He's never pretended to be anything but a partier that happened to be good at golf.
Tiger...something just has never seemed right about him to me.
He's the greatest golfer I've ever seen though.
If that guy whose nickname rhymes with "shrubs" gets the Kansas job, I really hope they make him wear Mangino's old KU gear.
ReplyDeleteLoganville...
ReplyDeleteI think the thing they see up there is 13-0 and Ronnie, Caddy, & Jason....
The folks down this way that "know" where the program was headed over Tubs' final season or two have a different outlook to be sure.
"Some dude from some band will be on with JKev.
ReplyDeleteCheck it out. Sounds huge."
check out Jay G. bringin' the sarcasm.
Lucero is the band. They're pretty damn good.
I used to really hate Tiger, but now that everyone's down on him it's just kinda "meh".
ReplyDeleteThis JKev interview with the guy from Lucero is pretty funny.
ReplyDelete"So, how awesome are the Drive By Truckers?"
"Hey, I really like your stuff, it's almost as good as Patterson Hood's."
"Your writing style is really great, but that Patterson Hood is really really great."
So... Who is finished with their Christmas shopping? Want to finish mine for me?
ReplyDeleteThe Drive-By Truckers are really good, but not sure what they have to do with this band.
ReplyDeleteTiger.... People overly consumed with themselves are usually the ones with something worth hiding.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like his ego got the best of him.
Never heard of Lucero... What genre would they fall into?
ReplyDeleteNever have been a big fan of Tiger Woods. I've never been a big fan of professional golf. It bores the heck out of me.
ReplyDeleteThat said, a drunken round of 18 is a great way to waste time.
I used to play a lot of golf Sean.
ReplyDeleteNow it is limited to scrambles put on by vendors including free beer.
FSJ ..you're right about the Au heading downhill. What "some other folks" know is the clandestine interference from the AU PTB that greatly fostered that slide.
ReplyDeleteDid the guy finally get worn down and stick it to the PTB? I think the fact that he took the $5 mil check is a good indicator.
The problem at AU wasn't the coach, it was the coach having to swim upstream against his own "folks".
they're kind of a heavier southern alt-country rock band.
ReplyDeletefrom Memphis, i think.
Ya know ....psychologists say that one trait of low self-esteem is to constantly put down others. I try not to get into all that psycho-babble, but after a while you really have to wonder.
ReplyDeleteyou can listen to one of their albums here
ReplyDeletehttp://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/9540-rebels-rogues-sworn-brothers/
the music player is in the top right part of the page
I watch pro golf to see all the shots I wish I could make. And for those rare occasions that Tiger yanks one into a tree.... That always makes me smile. Cause then I think, "Hey! I can do that!"
ReplyDeleteKU would be a good job fot CTT. But I do not think that he brings any excitement to the press conference. If CTT does not get a job this year I do not think he will ever coach college ball again. So if KU is interested he should be.
ReplyDeleteHoopie,
ReplyDeleteWhat do psychologists say about people who psychoanalyze people on a blog?
I'm not going to bring up psycho babble but -insert Hoopie's psychobabble-.
ReplyDeleteAwesome.
"The problem at AU wasn't the coach, it was the coach having to swim upstream against his own "folks"."
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there was a little more than just the PTB that caused Troy and Tucker's father's downfall.
If Auburn's ex-coach wants the job at Kansas I hope he gets it I am betting that he will do well. He will be energized and will move that program to a higher level than chubs did.
ReplyDeleteSaban made his "butt" quit.
ReplyDelete*Disclaimer: The aforementioned comment has been edited for content.
I read that on al.com must be true
ReplyDeleteWhat about people who psychoanalyze other people's psychoanalyzations of people on a blog? Or better yet... Someone who psychoanalyzes their own psychoanalyzations of people on a blog?
ReplyDeleteAll good questions D.Miller, all good questions.
ReplyDeleteWhere is THT
ReplyDeleteBEASLEY
ReplyDeletedunno. but i know he's out there.
ReplyDeleteBEASLEY
ReplyDeleteBEAT ME TO IT
ReplyDeletesorry digger. thought it was an alley-oop. ha.
ReplyDeleteScottie Burns is the real deal
ReplyDeleteI think typing that made me psychoanalyze my own psychoanalyzations of someone else psychoanalyzing their psychoanalyzations of people on a blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm not real sure what that means. But maybe someone can psychoanalyze it.
We have the corporate "don't call it Christmas, call it Year End Celebration" luncheon today starting at 11:45, so I'll miss out on the fun this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteD.Miller,
ReplyDeleteThat's just plain psycho.
We had ours yesterday, WERK. I skipped it.
ReplyDeleteRK,
ReplyDeleteCorporations are wimps.
I work in a company like that. In fact we don't have luncheons period. I've actually only seen my boss once in two years.
My guess is that PPL is going to be AWOL. Somehow he just hasn't endeared himself to the new staff and with 4 4 star receivers in the incoming class to go with the current talent, I don't see him in the mix. He had his shot to impress as a punt returner. That didn't last long.
ReplyDeleteFSJ,
ReplyDeleteMy boss is in Maine, so I'm in the same boat.
I'M ON A BOAT
As for former coaches, RK, I agree that the environment at Auburn had issues. Hopefully that is changing.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that as as the smart-alec berating of coaches has increased on the HABOTN ...the variety of posters has dwindled. In fact, the berater then redefines/skews the situation to try and enlist a few compatriots. He then follows up by making fun of the fact that some one complained about it in the first place. Is that genius? ..or an indicator of psychological deficiency?
ReplyDeleteAre folks just get tired of hearing the same old tired act? Based on reduced variety, that may be the case. I know I stay away because it really gets old.
Stand by for the usual attacks on me ...he usually posts bout 5-8 in retailiation to make his point.
1
ReplyDeleteIt's just a blog, right?
ReplyDeleteI guess that would be # 2?
Hoopie, let us not get that started again.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, moving along are we really going to have to see Ingram raise the trophy this weekend?
ReplyDeleteSteveFC,
ReplyDeleteI concur.
And on another twist to the ex-coaches thing, I am excited to see what Jimbo and Gran do at Florida State. It should be interesting next season.
ReplyDeleteThe old coaches had a hand in the environment that they worked. I just do not think it was all the evil PTB. I think the PTB saw things they did not like and the old staff said Hey this is our team. And the snowball began. I think the situation at UGA mirrors AU's. Except they have deep talent.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad to see Gran get away from Knoxville before it emplodes.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I missed something Hoopie..
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen anybody dogging Tuberville.
Facts are this....Tuberville's recruiting was in the abyss his last two years at Auburn. Now some of the problem may have been the PTB as you say..but I am sure..no make that POSITIVE that Tuberville wasn't working as hard on the recruiting trail as he should have been. The poor assistant for AU that was assigned up this way had no chance. It's impossible to recruit against the HC of another school when your HC won't put forth the effort.
Ask the Gadsden City assistant that posts on the ITAT premium board. He'll tell you. Tuberville was AWOL.
implodes...not emplodes.
ReplyDeleteProbably, but maybe he'll drop it on his foot.
ReplyDeleteHoopie, please define "jelly dart". I've been wondering about that for a while.
War Eagle RK:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the catch on the Southern Beverage/ Whippin' post connection. That just scored me brownie points with the sponsor.
As to the Patterson Hood/Mike Cooley/Brent Best references. These are all guys whom Nichols lists as influences on his art.
If I had to pigeonhole Lucero's music into a genre, I'd call it cow-punk.
They're playing in the Ham tonight.
War-- If I had to choose it would just be the Heisman.
ReplyDeleteAnd from what I have read, Ingram will likely be the guy for the Heisman. I don't see him as that type of player, but marketing is a large part of it. I once read an article about how Auburn marketed Pat Sullivan and all the calls that were made to voters.
ReplyDeleteI've heard several interviews with Gran over the years...
ReplyDeleteHe seems like a nice guy. It was hard to dislike him.
He does something with a kids charity if I recall correctly too.....right?
As far as the DBT goes:
ReplyDeleteMike Cooley > Patterson Hood
But I love both of their songs.
JKev,
ReplyDeleteI'm always going to try to point out the greatness that is the Allman Brothers Band where ever I hear it, so no problem.
RK..
ReplyDeleteMy dad loves the Allman Brothers.
I find the older I get the more my musical tastes begin to mirror his.
FSJ,
ReplyDeleteI've been a big fan since I was a kid. The line up has changed over the years due to tragedy and other events, but always a collection of great musicians.
To try and not get too specific, it is usually foolish to try and blame a situation on one specific cause. There is plenty of blame to go around.
ReplyDeleteIt is much more productive to look to the future. Heck, many bashed Chizik before he gotten started at Auburn. Look to the future. As for past coaches, I hope they do well. I consider them Auburn men, other than one whom I will not mention.
During the next 2 to 3 years we will get a good idea of how Chizik will do. He is off to a great start. Maintaining a program isn't easy in the SEC, but I like Chizik's chances.
By the way, I also remember a bunch of Auburn fans trashing Chizik when he left for Texas. It wasn't on here, but it happened. You never know when things may come back around, and in this case they did.
The old staff had some good coaches and recruiters. But when the leader does not lead it is a moot point. It is a ten year cycle.
ReplyDeleteTHT has been working :-( but is now taking a lunch break. Many thanks to diggerforAU & scottie burns for their clutch hits today!
ReplyDeleteWARRRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
RK --
ReplyDeleteDBT used to be my favorite American band. Then Patterson ran Jason Isbell out of the band, and it hasn't been the same since.
Here's two ways you can tell they jumped the shark:
1. Brighter than Creation's Dark sounds like the band bought massive ammounts of stock in the Hammond B-3 Organ company.
2. Even worse, they're letting Shonna sing. Girls should sing harmony only in the DBT.
Band will never recover IMO.
Does that mean Muschamp is next? HAHA
ReplyDeleteIt is very strange how musical tastes change. Much of the music I liked growing up now seems kind of silly. I have learned to appreciate music that I use to seriously dislike. I guess aging changes you tastes or something like that.
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteI think when Chiz left for Texas after we were undefeated a lot of people wondered why he would make what seemed like a lateral move. Plus we knew he was a good coach, so people were upset about that and probably lashed out. Then once Gibb's D didn't play well at times it made Chizik's leaving sting more...then Muschamp followed in his footsteps.
Plus it's the internet and people just say strange stuff.
Either way, he's back home now.
KJtiger, get over it and join the rest of us here in the present.
ReplyDeleteJKev,
ReplyDeleteI've never heard what exactly happened with Jason Isbell.
I actually liked Brighter than Creations Dark a lot, but I always skip past the Shona Tucker songs. She's just not a lead singer at all.
You can see the same cycle that occurred with Chizik happening with Todd. The same type of thing happened with Cox. The same thing happened with Campbell. Knee jerk reactions aren't very productive.
ReplyDeleteMan, I need to move to a different topic.
ReplyDeleteChiz left Auburn for Texas to elevate his chances at a future head coaching job, although he didn't leave Auburn so much as he left Tubs. Tubs wasn't really willing to help him out that much in becoming a head coach anywhere. Mack Brown was.
ReplyDeleteCan we discuss the present?
ReplyDeleteE-Bro,
ReplyDeleteAt the time most people didn't know that and some lashed out at him leaving. Looking back now it's pretty obvious as to why he went to work for Mack Brown.
Steve,
ReplyDeleteYou are getting us presents?
Anyway, happy friday afternoon to all, I'm out to our luncheon.
ReplyDeleteBring on the chicken.
I can never listen to Drive By Truckers without laughing. I have decoration day and it is a darn good album, but the lyrics to all their songs are like a burce springsteen hardluck song on steroids. Not a big fan of "story songs" in general.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would really like to see at Auburn is a continuity of staff, although I am not sure how realistic that is these days. We shall see how it goes.
ReplyDelete"lyrics to all their songs are like a burce springsteen hardluck song on steroids."
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty accurate description of Patterson Hood's writing. Southern gothic.
Mike Cooley's writing is more humorous.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I read that Mack Brown has gotten a raise to $5 Million and his contract extended to 2015, if I remember correctly. How long will Muschamp be willing to play the bridesmaid roll?
ReplyDeleteSteve -- I am over it. I was just giving my opinion to a post about CTT and the Kansas job and other topics. I think Chiz will do a good job. I could not be more excited about the future.
ReplyDeleteSteve, it's a much different deal they have at Texas. Champ is the head coach designate. Nothing is set in stone. No money is promised to Champ at any point. Champ can take another job if he so desires.
ReplyDeleteIt's just that, if he's still at Texas when Mack retires, the job is his if he wants it.
I think Muschamp may have had a switcheroo played on him. I just cannot see him hanging on for 5-7 more years. To me the luster will wear off and he may end up like bud foster.
ReplyDeleteThe most exciting thing now is that this recruiting class could easily turn into the best recruiting class I have ever seen at Auburn. In September, I thought it average or possibly a little below average. I have been shocked at how well we have done. If we finish this off with a couple of high profile OL and one or two DT, I will be very happy.
ReplyDeleteThrow one or two more DBs in the mix wouldn't hurt either.
ReplyDeleteI would like to have another RB. With Smith, Fanin, Aycock, Flash, and Dyer I think we need a bruiser type back.
ReplyDeleteJKev, i completely disagree on the DBT.
ReplyDeleteIsbell definitely brought good things to the Truckers, but they made their best two albums without him: Brighter Than Creations Dark and Southern Rock Opera.
And Shonna Tucker's songs on Brighter are some of my favorite Truckers songs they've ever done. She has unique voice, that sounds like Muscles Shoals.
The Truckers have a lot left in the tank.
While he is a bit small, Dyer is a bruiser type back. Seastrunk would be more like FAH. Lattimore is more in between if I remember correctly. If we get either of those two, we are set a RB.
ReplyDeleteI think that you cannot go wrong with a bruiser. Someone who can move the pile. I think dyer and smith may fit that role the more I think about it. But I think Gus puts a premium on speed and getting to the outside. I beleive we get seastrunk.
ReplyDeleteI had to watch some film on Dyer because I wondered about his height. He is just thick, not fat. I am looking forward to seeing what he does.
ReplyDeleteAs for Smith, he looks to be a solid contributor although I really haven't seen anything in him that would make me think he would be a star. It could be that his versatility ends up being his strongest suit.
Don't forget that Anthony Gulley could end up play RB too.
ReplyDeleteIs gulley more a hybrid back? Sort of a bigger FAH role.
ReplyDeleteI think Boom stays @ Texas until LSU or Georgia come open, then he jumps if either show interest.
ReplyDeleteAll I remember about Chiz and Muschamp leaving was how overly pissed I was about Texas coming in and stealing our really good DC's. I couldn't figure out why we were the defensive feeder school for UT.
ReplyDeleteOn Muschamp, does anyone know if he has a deal like Jimbo did with after a certain number of years his salary would go up to that of a head coach even if he was still DC?
Jet is as usual dead on.
ReplyDeleteI agree Boom would jump at a chance to coach at Ga. or LSU but that may not happen for a while IMHO.
ReplyDeleteI think if Fanin could solve his fumble issues, he could be very productive. Also watching him on tv it looks like he has 28" biceps.
ReplyDeleteJet,
ReplyDeleteThe irony would be if Boom took over for Saban whenever he decides to retire...
I don't see Alabama hiring an assistant again for HC.
Hopefully not at least.
I think Boom is guarenteed a one year roll over for as long as mack is HC. But I think his deal is just a 1 year contract with a 1 year roll over for 900k.
ReplyDeleteI ran across "In their on words" while scrolling yesterday and watched Saban. It turned out very interesting. He admitted handling the press wrong at the end of his tenure at Miami. At his age and place in life he may well stay at Alabama until he reitres. Unless things just went south which I doubt.
ReplyDeleteAS much as I hate it. I do not see him going anywhere. Unless the NCAA is coming (which I doubt) They are perfect for each other.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what will happen with Gulley, although the coaches seem to want to get him involved.
ReplyDeleteActually, I would be happy if Saban just stays where he is. We have beat him in the past and will do so in the future.
ReplyDeleteAnybody else seen this?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.fantasycollegeblitz.com/should-alabama-be-ineligible-for-the-coaches-poll-hence-out-of-bcs-championship/
I'm not sure what's wrong with the logic, but surely the entire coaches' poll would notice that Alabama is on probation and ineligible for the coaches poll. Right?
Good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I would call the textbook scandal major. Did they receive major penalties for it? Not that I recall.
ReplyDeleteInteresting David, unfortunately when it comes to the Tahd's 42nd national champeenshup rules don't apply
ReplyDeleteI think the deal is that if you are ineligible for post season play you can't be in the BCS poll.
ReplyDeleteAlabama is obviously eligible for postseason play.
sorry..coaches poll
ReplyDeleteBesides...OU was on probation last year.
ReplyDeleteYea, the whole point is defining major. Besides, I see no reason Bama shouldn't be eligible. If they had gained a significant competitive advantage, it would be different. I would consider what may have happened with Tennessee much more significant if it turns out to be true.
ReplyDeletewhatever FSJ. your "facts" don't mean nothin'
ReplyDeleteLOL Harrison.
ReplyDeleteSo say this has legs and things happen, and Cincy plays the BCSCG. You think Kelly would be kickin his own butt for missing his chance?
ReplyDeleteI still can't get all caught up in the NC hype. LSU winning the NC a while back while loosing two games, including I believe their final regular season game against Arkansas, points out what a joke the NC is. To me, the SEC championship is much more impressive. The NC is much more a feel good prom queen deal.
ReplyDeleteI'd take a BCS championship Steve
ReplyDeleteThis thing has no legs, not even little stubs. Bama will play Texas for the NC.
ReplyDeleteI would rather be the Auburn 2004 team that got snubbed than the 2007? LSU team that got a bogus championship. Win them all and nothing else matters.
ReplyDeleteI think LSU or UGA will be open in 2011. Perhaps both.
ReplyDeleteKJ: Awesome avatar.
ReplyDeleteLSU or UGA are both places I eventually expect change, but I think Richt has a bit more support than I first thought. To me Miles is more likely to get the opportunity to find a new career path than Richt, primarily due to Miles' winning personality and ability to make some of the most unusual calls.
ReplyDeleteI bet LSU is open after next season..
ReplyDeleteHe's going to be bleeding coaches after this year too..
Only so many times you can throw the assistants under the bus.
PLUS...Les could possibly lose to Auburn and Alabama next year.
Apparently the UT cheerleaders have already made their way to Pasadena.
ReplyDeleteUA's cheerleaders look like they are 13.
Hook 'em
The fact that Reed decided to leave Louisiana also is interesting. At the same time I read where LSU is likely out of the running for Seastrunk after their RB coach left. LSU got two new RB commits after his departure.
ReplyDeleteI had dinner with an elected statewide official from Louisiana last Friday night.
ReplyDeleteHe better win the West next year or he will be de-Hat-itated.
Exactly Jet.
ReplyDeleteIf the hat is not in Atlanta next year he's toast.
Gotta love those chaps!
ReplyDeleteThere is probation, and there is probation AND ineligible for postseason competition.
ReplyDeleteNext thing you'll tell me is that neither of the major candidates for President of the United States in 2008 were born in the U.S., and therefore ineliglble to serve.
Goal line!
ReplyDeleteNorm package!
Norm package!
Jet, lmao at your new name/avatar. AUsome.
ReplyDeleteoh, and nice pic FSJ. prolly the best you've ever posted.
Thanks, Scottie.
ReplyDeleteI unveiled it last night after the thread began.
Dadgummit ... where's Norm?!?!?
ReplyDeleteGet his @$$ out here! Now!
does Norm have his eye patch back on? can't he see that it's flippin' time?
ReplyDeleteimma let u finish Jet, but this page needs to be flipped and flipped now.
ReplyDeleteTIME OUT!
ReplyDeleteWill somebody find Norm, or will I have to do this myself?!
can i lob up a slowpitch softball?
ReplyDeletewho will knock it out?
Will Not Be Denied.
ReplyDeletewhew. thanks Jet.
ReplyDelete
