Radio Appearance forthcoming?

Hey everyone. I am expecting to participate in my weekly segment on SuperSport 930 out of Jackson, Miss., in a bit. That extravaganza may begin around 9:05 a.m. CST.

I'm willing to discuss Auburn and other stuff.

Be there or be rectangular.

  6. JKev,

If you are reading a little "Leave My Blues at Home" by tthe Allman Brothers Band would be nice if you got it.

I guess the FCC didn't appreciate JGT having a "moment" and pulled the plug.

    From the prev thread:

DL ...I googled Judy Jetson and I'm not certain that she is of age.

I am certain that she won't be happpy with a fat, naked Korean dictator.

    ReplyDelete
  10. but he's wearing a towel... a tiny towel.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hoopie... do you google girls often?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Are we off the Internets air?

I just needed the towel to prevent freezing between my fake beer and my real hand.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I probably need a new avatar.

Kinda has shades of Mississippi State, right? I didn't mean to do that.

I googled young women when I was young, but alas I'm 54, old and happily married.

Judy Jetson wouldn't be interested in me either.

  19. Just asking a friend who was pretty close to the football team at UF when Cam came through. He was a bruiser who could plow over people and execute the jump pass, but was not really that accurate in the pocket. He was apparently too slow to be a wildcat, though his 40 time says differently. His accuracy might have improved at JUCO. With even a slight increase, I could see Gus designing some stuff to make him look good.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I see myself more likely to google young women when I'm 54 than now.

  21. Hoopie it is intermitant I got it last week but it went away after about 30 mins. The first time it worked great and then I couldn't get it for two more weeks. It has been like this on again off again.

(hint: little known company policy is to accept expired coupons. I've used the coupons from old cow calendars in the past when funds were short).

  23. +1 to THT for bringing the ultra-obscure Jimmy Buffett reference in the last thread

    ReplyDelete
  24. Peter , funny your peep should mention that about his throws...

On the Youtube videos his runnign ability is great but his passes seemed "off" he has an arm but ... watch for yourself... just nto the cannon I expected from a 5*

    ReplyDelete
  25. weagle - I was unaware of Buffet's use of the song by MrGuinn (The Byrds).

    ReplyDelete
  26. so I guess that's a minus 1

    ReplyDelete
  27. yeah, DL. Said he constantly overthrew recivers in practice. Makes me instantly think of Jamarcus and Byron Leftwich. Both big strong guys (though Byron couldn't run to save his life because of his girl sized feet) that always throw too far.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Nobody ever gets better.

    ReplyDelete
  29. okay, I'm really bugged by this Newton kid. He thinks he's hot $#&$.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Winn-Dixie's getting better all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Getting better ... all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  32. New crop, more Beet.

    ReplyDelete
  33. JGT - those look like Molly dog's teeth...at least the ones still in her mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  34. How much of d-bag do you have to be to get called out by Bobby Knight for being a d-bag? I kinda agree.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I need a suitable avatar.... someone get me one for Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The problem with Newton is, regardless of the fact that he is a physical freak, he can't throw the deep ball.

    ReplyDelete
  37. PF ...

To answer ... you have to be a D'bag made with the finest vinegar mixed with San Pelligrino.

    ReplyDelete
  38. twitter's website was hacked by the Iranian Cyber Army last night....

What the heck is a Cyber Army?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Dameyune Craig is joining the F$U staff... either as WB coach or WR coach.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Okay yesterday many were saying how great and how huge it would be for us to get the kid that had a problem with taking stuff. Today he can't throw. What's the deal? Is it better to go with what we have? Or take the chance on teaching another kid how to throw and make good passing decisions against SEC defenses.

    ReplyDelete
  41. And in the spirit of the holidays I'm doin a new avatar too

    ReplyDelete
  42. Craig is going to coach the Wing Backs?

    ReplyDelete
  43. No the WB's Way Back even beyond the safeties.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I thought he was coaching the Warner Brothers, twin 5* interchangeable quarterbacks.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeesh, Bammers...talk about counting your chickens.

    From Ivan Maisel:

"Alabama claims to have won 12 national championships, which may give you a hint as to which school’s fans set up the website http://www.13championshipssticker.com/. They are selling Crimson stickers that say “13 Championships” with the suggestion that they make great stocking stuffers. I’ll have to check my calendar, but I’m pretty sure Alabama won’t win that title before Christmas. I’m also pretty sure that Texas just found another handy motivator".

    Typical

    ReplyDelete
  46. I didn't comment on him yesterday because I had no information. Today, I have information, so I'm commenting and sharing...and my official meaningless stance is that Auburn should sign him because Gus can make anyone by Caudle look good.

p.s. I don't like the way Newton carries himself on the football field, but nobody asked me.

    ReplyDelete
  47. WB = Wunning Backs...

    ReplyDelete
  48. My stance is the same pf, if Malzahn says he wants him i say give that fella a scholly

    ReplyDelete
  49. Chris Low has an interesting chart on his Blog. Shows the strongest team of the SEC for the past ten years.
    Fla.
    LSU
    Ga.
    Auburn
With winning records overall, SEC, Top Ten and Bowls

    ReplyDelete
  50. Alright. I'm with you fellers.

Actually, I'm with the coaching staff, I'm sure they understand what they will have to deal with physically and character-wise a WHOLE lot more than I do. Whatever they chose I'm sure it's what they feel will be best for the team and Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous11:09 AM

ScottC ...LOL @ typical Bammer arrogance.

Wonder how many "fans" will wear those T shirts prior to the game or even if Bammer Loses? I wonder if there aren't Bammers that think they've already won the MNC?

    ReplyDelete
  52. There will be bammers wearing those shirts @ the game...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ryan White just committed to AU... per Rivals, Jeff Lee and others...

    ReplyDelete
  54. I guess he's being recruited to play DB?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thanks for that update, D.Miller

    WARRRRRR EAGLE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Brute live in '02. good music

    http://southernshelter.com/

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yes... being recruited to play CB.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Anonymous11:25 AM

Jet's aptly named phrase ...Recruitmas ....seems so appropriate right about now.

Just a few more recruits and the boat will be full.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Sean - I can't find the story I read the other day (it may have been a freebie on one of the pay sites).

Coach Chiz asked Ryan White where he wanted to be in 5 years.

    The League.

Well, there aren't many 5'11" QBs in the NFL, but all my DBs will be good enough for the League.

Conversation went something along those lines. GTech was recruiting him as a QB. Interesting thing is that he said he hadn't played hardly any DB before.

    ReplyDelete
  60. it takes a lot of skill and practice to be a good QB..

At Cornerback just being a very talented athlete with some aspect of a brain can get you by...

    ReplyDelete
  61. Substantial Snow!!! Yippee!!! I'm in Greensboro today where it's snowing. Likely only rain back home in the Triangle. I LOVE SNOW!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. You can coach a a guy that is 5'11" 190# and runs a 4.4 how to play CB...
You cannot, however, teach a guy how to run a 4.4 and be the right size.
The coaches identified him as one of their top CB priorities, and they went out and got him.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I suggest shoveling several feet of snow to temper that affinity for it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. AU playing NW got me wondering what other teams in the FBS AU has never played. It turns out there are 43 of them. I was definitely surprised by some on the list. I'm actually going to list them, so whether you're interested or not, you'll need to get your scrolling finger ready.

Air Force, Arizona St, Boise St, Bowling Green, BYU, Cal, Central Michigan, Colorado St, UConn, Eastern Michigan, FIU, FL Atlantic, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa St, Kent St, Marshall, Miami (OH), MTSU, Minnesota, Navy, Nevada, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Ohio University, Oklahoma St, Oregon, Pitt, Purdue, San Diego St, San Jose St, Stanford, Temple, Toledo, Troy, Tulsa, UCLA, UNLV, Utah, Utah St, UTEP, and Washington.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I decided that the use of commas would save everyone the scrolling.

    ReplyDelete
  66. nothing can temper my affinity for snow, except perhaps 3 months of it covering the ground. When we lived in Pittsburgh we had snow on the ground for a week, grass for a week, snow for a week... into mid April. It was WONDERFUL!

Right now it's a beautiful snowfall, but to quote that old movie, "What we have here is a failure to accumulate."

    ReplyDelete
  67. excellent and fascinating work, Choco.

I wish ND would play us. Or I wish we would play them.

I wouldn't mind seeing AU vs Pitt, Cal, Washington, Iowa.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Thanks, THT. I could enjoy watching AU play about half of those teams. Unfortunately, there's probably a much better chance of the other half appearing on the schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yep, looks like we play FL Atlantic in 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  70. yeah pretty much the only chance for us to see the half we want is in bowl games

    ReplyDelete
  71. Glad to see us pick up another CB. If Etheridge doesn't make it back, it could be an area of concern. White is one of our lower rated recruits, but I trust the coaches to get the right kids.

    ReplyDelete
  72. well he played QB in HS, but his speed is great, I think he will make an excellent DB

    ReplyDelete
  73. FAU in 2011 vs the Fighting Schellenowls. Hope he hasn't figured out how to win a national championship with that program by then.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Well, we had a game with Bowling Green scheduled, but they bailed on us to play Oklahoma instead.

    We played The Citadel instead.

    In 2004.

    Screw 'em.

    ReplyDelete
  75. wait, Auburn hasn't played a third of the Sun Belt? That's just crazy. I thought they were on a yearly rotation.

    ReplyDelete
  76. The biggest one I saw was Minnesota. I figured we would've met them in a bowl game or something back when they were good.

    ReplyDelete
  77. did anyone read the story about the SEC using a clock at the Baseball tournament?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Well, if White actually makes it to practice he will already have done better than Taikwon Paige, a four star, so he has that going for him.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Yeah PF, that one and the other Big 10 teams kind of surprised me.

    ReplyDelete
  80. 90 second limit between half innings, 20 seconds between pitches if there is no one on base. If the pitch is not delivered within 20 seconds and the batter is ready, a ball is called. If the batter is not in the box with 5 seconds on the clock, a strike is called. Designed to shorten the games considering the four game days ended after 1 am last year. Hey, maybe auburn will make it this year?

    ReplyDelete
  81. The tourney baseball games were running really late (past midnight). I think the main things they're going to do is start the games earlier and allow less time between games. The clock thing is probably mostly related to the latter.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Wow, FT. They're getting more serious than I thought.

    ReplyDelete
  83. yeah...probably has alot to do with the fact ESPN is televising it this year.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Nice, THT.

Good to see you where you belong.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Nice one, THT. FT and I almost screwed things up.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Thank you, Sir. It was a very close call. Work almost got in the way.

    ReplyDelete
  87. well, after we accumulated about 322 nanometers of snow (with drifts up to 5 millimeters), it seems to have abated :-(

    ReplyDelete
  88. Can you imagine a home and home with Notre Dame?!?!

    I can't either. :-(
Sure wish we could have gotten them while Weiss/Davie/Willingham were there.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I think we should go home and home with Iowa, just for Jay

    ReplyDelete
  90. good idea. At the game in Iowa, JayGT could be honorary Mayor for the day.

    ReplyDelete
  91. and then the next year we could take chizik back to Iowa state for a game, that would be fun

    ReplyDelete
  92. THT, I lived in NC close to Southern Pines in 2000. We got 22" of snow and our power was out for about 4 days. Count yourself lucky.

    ReplyDelete
  93. By the way, Daren Bates was a two star. Ryan White is rated better than him.

    ReplyDelete
  94. yeah bates has been a surprise for sure, a pleasant one

    ReplyDelete
  95. SteveFC - Unfortunately, we didn't move back to NC from jawja until August of that year :-( We would have loved to have been here for that. The ice storm that left us without power or water for 5 very cold days in ~Dec2002 wasn't much fun, though.

Thankfully, I'm married to a genius AU graduate. She realized the power was out in the middle of the night and filled the jacuzzi tub with water before all the lines were empty (we're on community electric powered well). So, unlike our neighbors, we had water to wash our hair & flush our toilets. The freezer stuff went outside or to friends house in Burlington. Refrigerator stuff was left outside. We fared much much better than our yankee neighbors, all due to me being smart enough to marry a genius.

    ReplyDelete
  96. as Jet said a few weeks ago, I waaayyy outkicked my punt coverage.

    ReplyDelete
  97. THT, our neighbors got smart and buried their steaks in the snow because the power was out. Our dogs appreciated it.

I think I read where Bates' dad is a coach, so that may have had a lot to do with why he could come in and play immediately.

    ReplyDelete
  98. THT, I should've realized that Buffett wouldn't'a written a song from scratch for an appearance with the Muppet Show.

    ReplyDelete
  99. stepped on a pop top, cut my heel, had to cruise on back home.

...not obscure, but hopefully enough to earn back my Buffett point!

    ReplyDelete
  100. yes, I'm sure you do.

We've got "snow flakes as big as goose feathers" coming down now.

    +1 for me, weagle?

    ReplyDelete
  101. Let's get Jay set of corn cob holders for Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Anyone have anything new on Lattimore? I would much rather we land him than Newton. On Newton if he signs then he is obviously our starter next year. I hope his attitude and his knack for taking things that aren't his has changed.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Anyone have anything new on Lattimore? I would much rather we land him than Newton. On Newton if he signs then he is obviously our starter next year. I hope his attitude and his knack for taking things that aren't his has changed.

    ReplyDelete
  104. When I was little I never could figured out how Jimmy could have cut his heel on a pop tart. That song makes more sense now.

    ReplyDelete
  105. How do you hold your Corn Cob

    their easrs of course.
