Your Auburn update, 12/21

Hey everyone. Auburn's final legit home practice has ended. Some stuff was discussed. Let's talk about it.

  • Reserve fullbacks John Douglas and Jason King (a walk-on) were arrested separately on suspicion of DUI recently. Douglas was arrested on Dec. 5. King was arrested last weekend.

Gene Chizik said the players have practiced "some," but said they will not be available for the Outback Bowl. Neither player has accrued meaningful statistics this season.

``Without going into detail of circumstances, they have been suspended from our football team at this point," he said.

  • The so-called recruiting "dead period" began Sunday morning and runs to January 1. Coaching staffs are banned from face-to-face contact and are permitted one phone call per week to prospects.

``I think we’re sitting about as good as we can be sitting with most of the guys we have left out there that we’re recruiting," Chizik said. ``It’s a period of time where they get a little reprieve and a little break from all this but we’re going to continue to recruit them hard within the rules, whatever we’re allowed to do with our one phone call a week."

  • Auburn coaches will take Dec. 24 and 25 off before re-convening in Tampa on the 26th. `` It’s family time and they need a break," Chizik said. ``We all need a break."

    Dead Period

    top of page 2

I sure hope Chiz knows when dead period is.

    ReplyDelete
  4. The Dead Period sounds like Trooper Taylor's whole year in recruiting.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Jay G, do you think the suspended players are key pieces, or some dudes?

    ReplyDelete
  6. The Dead Period sure sounds like that time I killed that guy.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I wonder what expletive Chizik chose when he heard about Douglas and King. I am sure he is getting sick of dealing with things such as that. I expect some problems with players testing the limits with the new coaching staff, but Chizik has more than made his point. Some of these players need to catch up.

    ReplyDelete
  8. can a juco commit during a dead period.. and more important sign papers?

    ReplyDelete
  9. yep, and then you were crazy enough to mark the spot on the map where you buried him. It's like you're saying na na na na na to the police.

    ReplyDelete
  10. sounds like some dudes.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would say Douglas is a significant loss because of Eric Smith not being available. Also, both contributed on our very special teams this season.

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's the HABTON tailgate map, THT. It is encrypted with the highest security known to the internets. Right?

    ReplyDelete
  13. DL - JUCO dead period was Dec 14-17, with various exceptions for dudes who have signed etc

    ReplyDelete
  14. Michael, with 2 accidental clicks it can go from "unlisted" to "public" google map.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Somehow I think that, due to the outstanding performance of our special teams and the strict requirement of having a pulse to be on them, the loss of King isn't likely to be the reason should the remote possibility occur that our special teams look bad.

  17. anyone here take Lithium? Anyone think they should?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Lithium?

I'm willing to give it a try. I tasted AJAX cleaning powder when I was a kid and thought it tasted pretty good.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hope everyone had a great day...

It doesn't seem like the bowl games that matter will ever get here...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi FSJ,

The Outback Bowl better wait. I have to work every day but Sunday until New Year's Eve. Or maybe you weren't talking about the Outback? Well, of course you were. You love Auburn.

  23. Ajax cleaner is kinda gritty.

    ReplyDelete
  24. No need for NCAA Rulebook panic.

Dead period BEGAN on Sunday. No reason to hurl yourself off buildings, drink acetone, play Russian roulette.

    ReplyDelete
  25. ahahaha. that 13championshipssticker.com site has taken down all paraphernalia until after the game.

    ReplyDelete
  26. acetone might wash the Ajax cleaner down.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Apparently, I'm such an expert in the field of sleep that they want to study me in the act tonight. I'll see you kids tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't like it about more DUI arrest - but then again it has always happened to a certain extent. The internet makes information all to accessible to anyone caring to give a half-hearted look.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Jet,

You going to the sleep clinic?

I've been to one of those..It's a trip.

Luckily the nurse/hostess I had was hot hot hot...

    ReplyDelete
  30. DUI is serious because of the danger to yourself and others. College kids are going to do it but athletes better understand the consequences of their action.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yea like Ms Goodbody on hee haw.
Jay probab;y has never seen that show.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Digger - I remember her and that show fondly. Back when there were only 3 channels available, I seem to recall watching Disney then Hee Haw in our house on Sunday nights but maybe they were separate nights.

    ReplyDelete
  33. speaking of hurling...

I'm going to hurl myself against the wall,
cause I'd rather feel bad than not feel anything at all.

    ReplyDelete
  34. HABOTN has no Dead Period.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, NCAA!

    ReplyDelete
  35. There's no way I'm going to let people watch me snore. I would love to wake up rested one morning, but letting people watch me snore is not going to be part of the equation.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Devils smacking the Penguins around on the ice, 2-0 midway through 2nd period :-(

    ReplyDelete
  37. ok, 4-0, and I'm turning it off.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous7:55 PM

    I had a sleep study once. That's why I don't have a uvula.

    ReplyDelete
  39. well, I think I'll go watch a movie with MrsTHT & Molly and then study some sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I hated to hear about the 2 guys getting DUI's. Didnn't they learn anything from the recent UF player's suspension?? I also think that losing Douglas will hurt with Smith also being out.
Anybody else watching the Redskins getting killed by the NY Giants??
I'm a Saints fan but I have always pulled for Jason Campbell to do well and I think he takes a lot of the blame when he has no supporting cast to protect him on the O-line. I hope he doesn't get benched. War Eagle to all btw!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Am I the only one who figures that Mario Fannin will just get the ball receiving more in the situations where we were going to Smith and that Douglas probably wasn't going to play a big role anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  42. You all remember Mario Fannin don't ya?

He was the guy a year and a half ago that it was rumored if he was ever placed in the same backfield with Kodi Burns would make any offense unstoppable.

    ReplyDelete
  43. RK...um, I think the results speak for themselves buddy.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I still think Fannin is one of the best backs in the NCAA. He's fast, accelerates well, and can cut with the best of them. He's got great hands too (after he shook the fumble bug from his Freshman year.)

    ReplyDelete
  45. THT-Per previous post. Coleman has almost always been listed as a 'soft verbal' ever since he said he would take other visits. I have noticed the services will do that when the kid actually states I am taking other visits.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Soomeone posted about Seastrunk also. He is not in the picture at AU. At all. I would guess that if AU does not get Lattimore ( I beleive they will) they will go after the RB with the last name of Woodyard. He played inthe AL all-star game and did a very good job. (This is just a guess on my part)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I didn't know MF had shaken the fumble bug. He still runs too often with the ball in the wrong arm and with way too much space between the ball and his body. High and tight - hold it right.

Anyone else hearing two big announcements tomorrow?

    ReplyDelete
  48. The Rivals guy (Jeff Lee) confirmed the rumor from other day. The RB & DE from SoCarolina were coming to visit after the alls-tar game Saturday. The DE is committed to Tenn. Kiffin got wind of it and called the DE and asked him not to go. (The old 'you shop, we shop' talk) He cancelled and the RB decided to not come by himself.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think Lutz has been running the spot that Smith played. That will be a good situation there.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I like Smith - he's a real football player. I think his off-field problems have distracted him.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I believe Ken Adams passed his classes. He islookingto make a decison real soon. If AU gets him and Newton, I think Newton will go against the '09 class and AU will put Adams on the '10 class. They still want him.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I believe Dmiller has some good info on recruiting. he does follow it closeley.

    ReplyDelete
  53. CIncy-I need to talk to you about either a couple of plots or a condo.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Interesting. I've been hearing Adams was 2009 or not at all. With our need for experienced players maybe that's not right. I hope we get CN, and I read somewhere he would sign somewhere this week.

    ReplyDelete
  55. He can still enroll early even if he goes against the '10 class right?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wake-Not sure about that question.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I know everyone is all giddy about Newton, but he may not come here and we are ready to throw a couple of guys out. We have to get him 1st.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I recall 2 years ago, most AU fans were poo-pooing the * rankings. We all said Tubbs can coachem up. And we gave examples of Marks and others for AU and Ryans, Arenas and others for UAT.
Strange how things change when your team has turned things around on the recruiting front. Stars mean a lot to many (not all so don't come on here and say 'I never thought stars were important) folks now.

    ReplyDelete
  59. AU could lose DJ Howard to Clemson. Especially if AU gets Lattimore. Howard wants to play RB. AU thinks he will be a very good DB. Clemson says he is a great RB prospect for them. FWIW

    ReplyDelete
  60. Hey, wtc, so glad you don't follow recruiting. I love reading all the stuff you don't know.

How can I help you with a condo or perhaps some permanent retirement property?

    ReplyDelete
  61. wtc,
Do you really think we get Lattimore to go along with Dyer? I think that would be awesome. Even if we don't get Seastrunk. Who else is in the running for Lattimore and will he commit before signing day? Lots of questions, I know.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I think AU gets lattimore.
Penn State, SoCarolina, AU are in the mix. he recently had an interview that others have talked about that where he said if he was goign to SoCarolina, he would have aleady comitted He had very good words for AU.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I may be interested in discussing your extra condo for a student.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Just let me know. We will be in Auburn Wed through Fri if you want to see it. If you need info, my email is on my profile. Send me an email and I'll send you my cell phone number.

    ReplyDelete
  65. On the recruiting front, hear anything about CJ Mosley or Eric Mack? Do we have any chance with them?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I don;t think so onthe 1st one and very much so on the 2nd one. In fact I am counting on the 2nd one coming to AU.

    ReplyDelete
  67. CinCy-I will email you Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'm 99% certain we can take both Adams and Newton and count one of them against the 2010 class.

    ReplyDelete
  69. wtc, I am not a big believer in stars although stars can't hurt. Just like with Moseley and Rollison. I don't assume one is better than the other based upon the hype. The thing I would put ahead of stars is getting players that will actually show up. We only actually got about 20 of our recruits from last season to actually be members of the team. I guess that the stars on the others might mean something in terms of impressions, but it isn't really helping much. I have seen too many high profile recruits turn into high profile could have beens.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Great warren zevon/ drive by truckers quote, THT. As for the recruiting, i think we get all 3 big running backs we want. MD,LS,ML are all obtainable if ya ask me. I'll be happy to see Newton in the qb mix as well. If all falls like i think we'll be a top 3 recruiting class.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Going to c my mom on Wednesday soooo sad rite now I can't believe this has really happened but it did........:( but I'll be back n the Meade 2morrow

Onterio just posted this. I hope everything is alright.

Yes I've reached stalker status on facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  72. As for Fannin, he isn't the blocker that Smith is. Fannin is very versatile, but not to the extent the Smith seems to be.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I saw where Todd was referred to as a manager, while Newton is a weapon. I like that description.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I still say Fannin has been underutilized at Auburn. He is a playmaker in my eyes. He has had some fumbling problems. But I think you gotta get him the ball.

    But what do I know.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Fannin has a lot of potential. He looks like a solid receiver as well as back. His fumbling issues seem to have decreased, although I am not sure they have gone away. There were also cases where he ran the wrong way, but I don't know of that happening this season. I like what he as done at times this season.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Fannin is likely a better receiver and probably a better runner than Smith, although Smith may be the better straight ahead type runner. Fannin is more elusive and probably more likely to break a long run.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Does anyone know much about Tony Hurd, a corner from the state of Texas. I read that he de-committed from Notre Dame and we may be going after him.

    ReplyDelete
  78. We weren't on Hurd's original list of schools. I thought Ryan White was the last CB AU was shooting for in this class. If they need another, why not target Rashad Knight, who has actually shown interest in AU?

    btw, Good Morning, Hotties!!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Good morning, Hotties!

Jet, how did your sleep study go? I had one back in August because I'm always sleepy. Of course, that night, I had trouble sleeping, so I had to have an MSLT or nap study the next day. I had no problems falling asleep then. The doctor said I have "excessive sleepiness" and, of course, there's no reason as to why. I now take Adderall 3x a day.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Luv, if you can cut down to 2X a day, there's a secondary market for the saved 30 pills/month.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Steve,

I'm looking (and have beem for a while) at some of the lite, uber portable Linux clients. You have an opinion on any of those? For my purpose, Puppy Linux seems to be the frontrunner for me to pop on an old 30 gig iPod and be able to boot on most pc's.

    ReplyDelete
  82. today's my last day of work before the wedding. I hope I don't get fired today. It was suck to be unemployed AND hitched. One I can handle. Both, well I'd keep me away from bridges and tall buildings.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Peter Congrats....

    Enjoy your day...

    ReplyDelete
  84. I don't follow recruiting that much, and don't like the huge amount of attention it gives these kids and the egos that seem to come with it at times. That being said, I hope we bring home all the big guns every year.

    ReplyDelete
  85. morning hotties. just a few more days till christmas. i would so much rather be home today. oh, well.

    ReplyDelete
  86. This is going to be yet another intolerably long day at work.

    ReplyDelete
  87. BTW what's the difference between a Quiet period and a Dead period?

    ReplyDelete
  88. I don't recall a work day that wasn't intolerably long.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'm seriously the only person, not counting contractors, on my side of the office today. Dang my inexperience and lack of vacation time.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Sean - what's the scoop on the mail?

mytommyd - dead vs quiet is probably discussed in that link at 5:42 pm. I can't see it on this work computer.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I setup a redelivery for today, we'll see what happens. Thanks for the assist, by the way.

    ReplyDelete
  92. my mom got me the 'FIRST TIME EVER' dvd for christmas and i watched it last nite. i was a little disappointed b/c i thought it was going to be the CBS broadcast. it was just the same as the vhs version they put out years ago. they did have a retrospective with former players on it that was really good.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Good morning Hotties! It is the day before the day before Christmas Eve!!! I love Christmas. My daughter and son-in-law and son are all here. It is so wonderful having them all under one roof. We are celebrating Christmas with them tonight. Presents!! Can't wait to see how they like everything. Then we are spending Christmas in Auburn!! Life is good :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. Jet,
Hope your sleep study went well. Seems I hear more and more people going thru that study.

    Peter,
Congratulations on your upcoming big day. I love weddings almost as much as Christmas! Hoping everything goes perfectly (and you don't get fired.)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Took a look at that THT. And (like I would expect from the NCAA) it doesn't say what they (the recruiters) can and can't do, just who the contactees would be. Then again that may be in a different section of their rule guide. I understand the contact period, it says what they can do for a certain period of time. Then there's the quiet period which is somehow just a day or two. Are there more restrictions on what the staff can do during the quiet period than in the regular period? Or is it quiet because of the restriction on who they contact?

Just an inquiring mind trying not to do too much at work today.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Scottie,

I have the VHS of that as well as a not so good quality DVD of the full TV broadcast of that game.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Definition: During a NCAA-mandated "Quiet Period," in-person recruiting activity is limited to contact on campus, as part of an official or unofficial recruiting visit.

    ReplyDelete
  98. RK, so do i. i was hoping the new dvd would be good quality b/c my old dvd copy was worn out. oh, well. i can always hook my vhs back up. :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's as slow on the interwebs as it is in my office. Intolerably so.

So I got a Christmas card from a dear, but sorely misguided, friend in Birmingham yesterday. It includes a picture of his 1 month old son wearing a cute little white knitted hat with a horrendous reddish script "A" on it. The scarlet letter. Poor kid. Doomed.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Was there a beer in his hand too Lowcountry?

    ReplyDelete
  101. VERY slow day on the inter-webs on a day I needed it to be at least kind of fast.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Alas, mytommyd, there was no beer, which might have actually redeemed the picture a bit.

I will say that all three of my boys wore a cute little knitted hat home from the hospital, too. But theirs had a strikingly impressive interlocking AU emblazoned on the front of the hat. No beer there, either (I kept mine out of the picture).

    ReplyDelete
  103. LCT - try to convince yourself that the card is a late Halloween card and that was his scary costume (to be worn next year) or an early April Fools Day card and it was just a practical joke.

    ReplyDelete
  104. KCT,
My husband would say that was a pornographic picture. Anytime we pass someone with a child wearing bama stuff, he says what a crime it is that parent allows their child to wear pornography.

    ReplyDelete
  105. That should be "LCT"

    ReplyDelete
  106. Now I know how a Christmas tree feels. All these cords and stuff wrapped around me.

I did manage to sleep some at the clinic. I got a good 2 hour nap after I got home.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Norm - good call. Cincy - I couldn't agree more. My father-in-law makes the same judgment call, as does my dad when he sees kids wearing UGly clothes in Athens.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Jet - did you learn anything? Did they?

    ReplyDelete
  109. they learned that Jet is the most interesting sleeper in the world.

    ReplyDelete
  110. i need to go for a sleep study bad.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Norm,
How is your eye? Are you having any improvement yet?

    ReplyDelete
  112. THT,
What is the latest on 2.0? Is she home yet?

    ReplyDelete
  113. i just need to be put to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I did the sleep study thing a while back. Failed miserably in the first couple of hours so they put me on the machine and I freaked out when they wanted to strap my mouth shut. Regardless I won a cpap machine out of the deal.

    ReplyDelete
  115. THT,
We are getting ready to watch The Grinch. I bought it for myself for Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Cincy- 2.0 is stuck in Munich all week. The next flight with seats available is on Chistmas Day. She should be home by about 9 pm. She was #3 on standby list on Sunday but zero standby passengers got on the flight.

    ReplyDelete
  117. cincy, my wife's family watches Christmas Vacation every year on christmas. she loves it.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I watched The Grinch last night. I love that show. I need to watch Charlie Brown Christmas tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Yep...Almost time to break the Griswolds out of their year long slumber....

    ReplyDelete
  120. I LOVE the Charlie Brown Christmas special. I need to buy that.

    THT,
WIll be praying for 2.0's safety and that she arrives as the perfect Christmas present right on time Christmas night.

    ReplyDelete
  121. munich weather - it snowed Sat/Sun; rain tonight, rain/snow tomorrow and FRIDAY.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Thanks, Cincy. We miss her sooooooo much. Even her brother misses her ;-)

Molly probably does too, but would never admit it.

    ReplyDelete
  123. this thread ain't gonna see the next hour without at least one more unsubstantial post.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Christmas Vacation and Christmas Story are my two favorite Christmas movies.

    ReplyDelete
  125. If y'all will indulge me...

    ReplyDelete
  126. Did somebody say something about Charlie Brown?

    ReplyDelete
  127. So, who thinks AU can beat Alabama State tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  128. I need one of these for my office...

    Hidden Fridge

    Maybe Santa will bring it...

    ReplyDelete
  129. Sorry if this is been posted...actually, I'm not. This is what FSJ house should look like right now....

Auburn Christmas Light Display and Dancing Lights

    ReplyDelete
  130. E-Bro, my daughter played that song on piano at our church's "Jazzy Christmas" concert this year. Last year she played "Linus & Lucy". The Vince Guaraldi music from that show is my favorite Christmas music.

    ReplyDelete
  131. E Bro, I have always thought that was one of the saddest Christmas songs ever. I don't care what the lyrics say, it just brings me down, man!

    ReplyDelete
  132. What are you talking about Eddie..

    That is my house.

    ReplyDelete
  133. FSJ- Your house for another year...maybe. But not much longer than that :)!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  134. I learned if I sleep on my back too much I will be taking The Big Sleep.

I'm not that bad. A guy I know stopped breathing 140 times in an hour on his back. I was considerably less than that -- 125 or so.

    ReplyDelete
  135. michael...that's because you're thinking of it in the Arrested Development context in the classic episode where they used that music to represent sadness.

But SC is right. VG is da man.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Jet,

You gonna have to get a CPAP machine?

    ReplyDelete
  137. oops on the hanging "e".

    ReplyDelete
  138. Ha. see, the writers of Arrested Development are just like me.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I was joking about the 125 ... much less than that ... CPAP? Maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Christmas Vacation is my favorite...however Bill Murray in Scrooged is very underrated.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Can't see the line, can ya Russ?

    ReplyDelete
  142. I wouldn't be more surprised Eddie if I woke up tomorrow with my face sewn to the carpet.

    ReplyDelete
  143. PF, I have no advice on which ultra-light linux is best. What I am familiar with are all larger distributions, although I am sure you can find something out there that will fit your needs.

    ReplyDelete
  144. SCHEDULE UPDATE

I will be attending the Auburn-Alabama State men's game this evening. I will be providing a live blog for those three of you who may care.

Please stop by if you're so inclined!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Sean: Tis the season to be merry!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Mr. Tate - that sounds like an exciting evening. Are you implying there will be more Hotties following your live blog than there will be live people at the game?

    ReplyDelete
  147. I care. I just may not be around the cyberwebs to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  148. maybe I can intermingle BYU vs OSU blogging amidst your AU vs ASU blogging. Keep the Hotties on their toes.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Jay G.,

I care, but I do hate it for you that you have to watch such bad basketball.

Congrats to your Wildcats on the big 2000th win over Drexel.

    ReplyDelete
  150. and then if we could get Michael to live blog your live blogging, it should make for a memorable evening.

Or people may just choose to drink egg nog tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I vote for the liveblog of the liveblog. Maybe there will be comments posted on the comments. Combine that with a couple of egg nogs and we got ourselves a party.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Brandon James out of the Sugar Bowl due to surgery on his foot.

Joe McKnight out of Emerald Bowl due to "some paperwork he needs to do."

    ReplyDelete
  153. Could Pete Carroll be any more of an idiot by issuing that statement?

Why the NCAA hasn't launched investigation into Reggie Bush at this point is mind boggling to me. The basketball team is about to be hammered...I just wonder if the football team will ever get looked at?

    ReplyDelete
  154. I'm pretty sure they are looking into the Reggie Bush thing or already have.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Sean- Last I understood, the NCAA has not launched an investigation into that.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Here and Here.

There are lots of results on the Google machine. You can see them Here

  158. USC today is like Tennessee in the 90's, you know stuff is going on, but nobody is going after them.

  159. Sean- I appologize, I meant an official letter of inquiry. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyways.

  160. So, guys would y'all tune in for a special segment of hate tomorrow morning about 9?

We couldn't bear the thought of a week without Jay G on our radio program show.

I sent him an e-mail, but haven't heard back from him.

  164. I shall be in attendance tonight when the Thump From Da Gump heads up the freeway to take on the Lee County Disaster Area in the Battle of I-85, Presented by VictoryLand where both teams can be losers.

  165. Eddie, not sure if they have one or not, you'd think they would have had to receive one. I did a search on the LOI and didn't come back with anything on a cursory look.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I would go to the game tonight Jay..

But I bet that one will be a hard ticket....especially for a bammer.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Sean- Exactly. I throw my hands up.

    ReplyDelete
  168. J-Kev, i'm at work so my HATE will be in full effect. carry on.

  171. Just got back from the Crane Works Christmas party. Got to meet/get an autograph from Coach Dye. Not sure he knew where he was at but it was great to meet him. Jay Barker and JP Wilson was there too but they had to take breaks like little girls. Finescum was there but it was probably a good thing I didn't see him till I was leaving.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Findbum was there? You didn't want to challenge him to Rochambeau?

Tip: Always make sure you get to go first.

    ReplyDelete
  173. It's getting oh so close to flipping time...where's Norm?

    ReplyDelete
  174. Wow 15 posts out is close? I will help get us closer then.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I wanted to challenge him to a game of "wack-a-mole". Guess who the mole was.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Cousin,
I like that game if Paul is the mole. :)

    ReplyDelete
  177. Well on slow days like today, I guess 15 posts is a mile away.

    ReplyDelete
  178. We can narrow the gap easily enough.

    ReplyDelete
  179. It just takes a bit of extra effort.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Now we are down to 10 posts - see how fast that was?

    ReplyDelete
  181. Remember in backyard football when someone would be "all-time-quarterback"? I'd like to watch Finescum play Rochambeau as "all-time-receiver".

    ReplyDelete
  182. Anonymous2:05 PM

We're gonna have to do this without Norm

    ReplyDelete
  183. I'll bet lots of AU fans would sign up to be "all-time-kicker".

    ReplyDelete
  184. Anonymous2:06 PM

    ReplyDelete
  185. don't count on me, I'm only an amateur

  186. Findbum reminds me of the older dude in Varsity Blues that got hit in the nuts...

The creepy old bald guy hanging around talking about football like he knows something about it.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Well, it's about flippin' time that it was flippin' time!
