Boom has to be one of the most interesting 3 or 4 coaches we have had over the last decade. It is a rare known fact that Boom is one of the few people Trooper Talyor would tell to calm down.
Snead leaving early seems kind of dumb when there season was such a flop. I take that to mean he isn't enthusiastic about the Ole Nutt chances next season.
I've been wondering how to prepare myself for watching the evil empire. After a long debate with myself I have decided watching a couple of episodes of "My Name Is Earl" should do the trick.
e-bro, with all due respect Russell and Cutler are worlds apart. Cutler's struggled at times, but he's been a legit QB. Russell, not so much. Ever. Even for a half.
AU1NO4...Logic says that Bama wins, but I'll go with Texas.
Big matchups to watch are Texas O-Line vs Bama D-Line (duh), but an overlooked one is Texas receivers versus Bama secondary.
I don't think Bama's secondary is weak, but I do think it is there weakest spot on defense. If Colt has time to throw, Texas has receivers (more than just Shipley too) to take advantage of that.
I don't think Cutler completely sucks. He's on a terrible team right now after being on a very shaky team before, and has preformed more than decent over his career. He's probably in that second tier of NFL QBs right now with Campbell, Garrard, and Garcia... Definitely no Manning, Favre, Manning, Brees, or...wait, that's all of the legit NFL QBs playing.
my pain pill, which sucks as a pain pill but would make an excellent sleeping pill, is kicking in. I think I can last to kickoff, but it will take some will power.
I asked daughter if she wanted to watch the game and she said NO. That way if a UAT an starts talking about the game, she can tell them she did watch it and she didn't care becasue her team wasn't in the game.
So tonight's football game is officially called the "Citi BCS Championship". Think of it, one of this nation's most corrupt, ethically bankrupt organizations, which by all rights should have been allowed to fail due to its own administrative incompetence, has gotten themselves involved in the BCS Championship game.
If AU was in this agme, how many of youwould fork aout about $2,500 per person to go to Pasadena and watch the game knowing it would easily run you about $4,000 for the entire trip.
Helloo!!!!
ReplyDeleteHook 'em Horns!!!
ReplyDeleteMan, I may have beat you to the punch, THT. But you beat me on substance.
ReplyDeleteBummer, now I won't get the answer to my question.
ReplyDelete2.0 always brings substance!
ReplyDeleteI kind of view tonight's game as taking one last ride on the Boom!!! train. Hook'em Horns!!!
ReplyDelete2.0 - Mom would like to say hi via google.
ReplyDeleteHiya 2.0 mom
ReplyDeleteBoom has to be one of the most interesting 3 or 4 coaches we have had over the last decade. It is a rare known fact that Boom is one of the few people Trooper Talyor would tell to calm down.
ReplyDeleteI just adjusted my arrival and departure dates in Starkville.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've stayed in Starkville for football. I'm sooooo stoked. No more Co-slumbus.
Snead leaving early for the draft.
ReplyDeleteDoes this rival Jamison Brewer leaving early for the NBA draft?
Snead leaving early seems kind of dumb when there season was such a flop. I take that to mean he isn't enthusiastic about the Ole Nutt chances next season.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Snead leaving early?
ReplyDeleteWow.
Either Jamison Brewer or Adam Harrington.
JGT, if you haven't had the chance before, try eating at the Golden Horn on US 82, roughly halfway between StarkVegas and Possum Town (aka Columbus).
ReplyDeleteYou won't regret it. GREAT steakhouse.
I'm sure some NFL team will look at his arm strength and athleticism and draft him, but what a waste that pick will be.
ReplyDeleteNFL teams see good arm strength and just turn the blinders on. Cutler, JeMarcus Russell, etc. Some guys just ain't made to play QB in the pros.
Well this change of schedule just throws everything off.
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, the time I lived in Columbus was officially the most horrific, dreadful, depressing 9 months of my entire life.
ReplyDeleteColumbus was only partly at fault, but I'll never think of the place with any degree of fondness.
just got a text from 790theticket.com to attend their "anti-nick saban watch party" tonight in Miami. The hate is everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering how to prepare myself for watching the evil empire. After a long debate with myself I have decided watching a couple of episodes of "My Name Is Earl" should do the trick.
ReplyDeleteI want to go where people dance. I want some ACK-shown!
ReplyDeleteWho do you think wins....not who you want to win?
ReplyDeleteTX
Alabama 27-21
ReplyDeleteI don't like typing that, and I have some self loathing going on for doing it, but I think they win.
RK - I kind of feel the same way....If Colt can throw, they win. Can he is the question.
ReplyDeleteAnd AL has never beaten Texas...ever
ReplyDeletee-bro, with all due respect Russell and Cutler are worlds apart. Cutler's struggled at times, but he's been a legit QB. Russell, not so much. Ever. Even for a half.
ReplyDeleteWhat do we want to do tonight?
ReplyDeleteChatroll? Cover It Live? Just roll with the comments section?
UAT 23, Boom 13
ReplyDeleteTexas ain't man enough to beat Alabama.
Chatroll sometimes gets hectic, but no constant refresh.
ReplyDeleteTexas by 14
ReplyDeleteLee Corso has improved over the course of the season.....unlike Dick Clark
ReplyDeleteAU1NO4...Logic says that Bama wins, but I'll go with Texas.
ReplyDeleteBig matchups to watch are Texas O-Line vs Bama D-Line (duh), but an overlooked one is Texas receivers versus Bama secondary.
I don't think Bama's secondary is weak, but I do think it is there weakest spot on defense. If Colt has time to throw, Texas has receivers (more than just Shipley too) to take advantage of that.
I look for a score similar to the Iron Bowl.
Nice to see Mrs. Clemens
ReplyDeleteE - I agree with you 100%
ReplyDeletePF...with all due respect, Cutler sucks.
ReplyDeleteIt may be a different level of suckage compared to Russell, but it's suckage nonetheless.
Alabama has never beat Texas, SEC is 5-0 in BCS Championship Games.....something has got to give.
ReplyDeleteMuch as I hate to type this I think:
ReplyDeleteAL 21 TX 17
I would love to be proven wrong!
JGT - Thoughts on Bates not on All Freshman Team? I thought he should have been considered.
ReplyDeletere: thread topic... AU @ MSU moved up to 9/9
ReplyDeleteAU hosts Arky State on 9/4
MSU hosts Memphis on 9/4
knowledge is power
Hook Em' Horns

ReplyDeleteAU1 ... shameful omission.
ReplyDeleteBates was great for a freshman.

ReplyDeleteI didn't even hear about the Wyoming kid.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Cutler completely sucks. He's on a terrible team right now after being on a very shaky team before, and has preformed more than decent over his career. ReplyDeleteThanks THT ... got it in an e-mail ... wish I had it earlier
ReplyDeleteCM - I appreciate that. Thanks and WARRRR EAGLE!!!
ReplyDeleteHOOK 'EM HORNS!!!
what got deleted?
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Mark Ingram not having his dad there. Hopefully, Sr. won't miss anything...Hook 'en Horns!
ReplyDeletemy pain pill, which sucks as a pain pill but would make an excellent sleeping pill, is kicking in. I think I can last to kickoff, but it will take some will power.
ReplyDeleteMark Ingram looked kinda fat in the interview I just saw
ReplyDeletewhat'd they end up giving you, THT?
ReplyDeleteAs a father, I would be miserable if I missed my sons milestone moments like that.
ReplyDeleteTHT I hope you fully recover soon.
speaking of fat, I got grossed out when I put on my shoulder sling. It essentially forces my hand to grab my giant gut. I am officially a lipid.
ReplyDeletePercocet - and far more than I'll need. I figure I can sell a few to Hotties In Need to cover the cost of my Rx ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, AU1.
Hotties are the best. Y'all have definitely enriched my life more than my flour.
the smaller percs are trash. go back and get the good ones....I hear J-Z makes a good percoset soup.
ReplyDeleteJeopardy is saving me from the pregame show aka bammer highlight reel.
ReplyDeleteWhat comes on the Lifetime channel or Oxygen channel tonight? My two girls (sife and daughter) want to atch some man hater movie.
ReplyDeleteHello hotties, sheep, goats, puppets, and bammer(s).
ReplyDeleteTHT.. get better soon. Give some of those pain killers to FSJ .. he will need'em ;).
ola 2.
Hook'em Horns.. 27-17 UTx.

ReplyDeleteI asked daughter if she wanted to watch the game and she said NO. That way if a UAT an starts talking about the game, she can tell them she did watch it and she didn't care becasue her team wasn't in the game.
ReplyDeleteyou've done a good job.
ReplyDeleteAero - That's flipping early!!
ReplyDeletewtc - Should you ever mention Oprah's channel on hear, I will ask for the "Man Card" sir!
ReplyDeleteAuburn women getting mauled at Florida. It's 26-11 with 6 min remaining in the first half.
ReplyDeletehear = here
ReplyDeleteToday, I'm extremely happy that certain people have dropped me as a Facebook friend.
ReplyDeleteI didn't Jet....sorry
ReplyDeleteThanks, Aero! And great suggestion!
ReplyDeleteJet-I want to post something on FB but decided to keep it to myself. TOO many clients are UAt fans. I need the business.
ReplyDeleteAU1/WTC ...
ReplyDeleteThat's not what I had in mind.
wtc - Business is business...their money is the same. Just easier to take and mark up cost.
ReplyDeleteJGT - Big difference from last yr huh with the ladies?
ReplyDeletewtc - I hear Lache is a west coast lean.
ReplyDeletererero all
ReplyDeletewhat the hell his mark wearing
ReplyDeleteNot only a lean but AU gave up on him about 5 weeks ago, from what I heard. AU feels Lattimore is coming.
ReplyDeleteFeb 4th should be very interesting
ReplyDeleteSo tonight's football game is officially called the "Citi BCS Championship". Think of it, one of this nation's most corrupt, ethically bankrupt organizations, which by all rights should have been allowed to fail due to its own administrative incompetence, has gotten themselves involved in the BCS Championship game.
ReplyDeleteAnd they even got Citibank to sponsor it.
I may not make it another thirty minutes
ReplyDeleteNew thread UPZ.
ReplyDeleteIf AU was in this agme, how many of youwould fork aout about $2,500 per person to go to Pasadena and watch the game knowing it would easily run you about $4,000 for the entire trip.
ReplyDeleteIn the Afghan native language the word 'alabama ' translates to 'hurry up dad and mom'.
ReplyDeletebum shoulder and all
