  1. Man, I may have beat you to the punch, THT. But you beat me on substance.

Bummer, now I won't get the answer to my question.

    ReplyDelete
  3. 2.0 always brings substance!

  4. I kind of view tonight's game as taking one last ride on the Boom!!! train. Hook'em Horns!!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. 2.0 - Mom would like to say hi via google.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Boom has to be one of the most interesting 3 or 4 coaches we have had over the last decade. It is a rare known fact that Boom is one of the few people Trooper Talyor would tell to calm down.

  7. I just adjusted my arrival and departure dates in Starkville.

First time I've stayed in Starkville for football. I'm sooooo stoked. No more Co-slumbus.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Snead leaving early for the draft.

Does this rival Jamison Brewer leaving early for the NBA draft?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Snead leaving early seems kind of dumb when there season was such a flop. I take that to mean he isn't enthusiastic about the Ole Nutt chances next season.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Seriously, Snead leaving early?

    Wow.

Either Jamison Brewer or Adam Harrington.

  11. JGT, if you haven't had the chance before, try eating at the Golden Horn on US 82, roughly halfway between StarkVegas and Possum Town (aka Columbus).

You won't regret it. GREAT steakhouse.

  12. I'm sure some NFL team will look at his arm strength and athleticism and draft him, but what a waste that pick will be.

NFL teams see good arm strength and just turn the blinders on. Cutler, JeMarcus Russell, etc. Some guys just ain't made to play QB in the pros.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Well this change of schedule just throws everything off.

    ReplyDelete
  14. And for the record, the time I lived in Columbus was officially the most horrific, dreadful, depressing 9 months of my entire life.

Columbus was only partly at fault, but I'll never think of the place with any degree of fondness.

  15. just got a text from 790theticket.com to attend their "anti-nick saban watch party" tonight in Miami. The hate is everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I've been wondering how to prepare myself for watching the evil empire. After a long debate with myself I have decided watching a couple of episodes of "My Name Is Earl" should do the trick.

  17. I want to go where people dance. I want some ACK-shown!

Who do you think wins....not who you want to win?

    TX

    ReplyDelete
  19. Alabama 27-21

I don't like typing that, and I have some self loathing going on for doing it, but I think they win.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Anonymous6:05 PM

RK - I kind of feel the same way....If Colt can throw, they win. Can he is the question.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonymous6:05 PM

And AL has never beaten Texas...ever

    ReplyDelete
  22. e-bro, with all due respect Russell and Cutler are worlds apart. Cutler's struggled at times, but he's been a legit QB. Russell, not so much. Ever. Even for a half.

    ReplyDelete
  23. What do we want to do tonight?

Chatroll? Cover It Live? Just roll with the comments section?

    ReplyDelete
  24. UAT 23, Boom 13

Texas ain't man enough to beat Alabama.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous6:07 PM

Chatroll sometimes gets hectic, but no constant refresh.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anonymous6:09 PM

Lee Corso has improved over the course of the season.....unlike Dick Clark

    ReplyDelete
  27. AU1NO4...Logic says that Bama wins, but I'll go with Texas.

Big matchups to watch are Texas O-Line vs Bama D-Line (duh), but an overlooked one is Texas receivers versus Bama secondary.

I don't think Bama's secondary is weak, but I do think it is there weakest spot on defense. If Colt has time to throw, Texas has receivers (more than just Shipley too) to take advantage of that.

I look for a score similar to the Iron Bowl.

    Nice to see Mrs. Clemens

  29. Anonymous6:10 PM

    E - I agree with you 100%

    ReplyDelete
  30. PF...with all due respect, Cutler sucks.

It may be a different level of suckage compared to Russell, but it's suckage nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous6:14 PM

Alabama has never beat Texas, SEC is 5-0 in BCS Championship Games.....something has got to give.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous6:15 PM

Much as I hate to type this I think:
    AL 21 TX 17
I would love to be proven wrong!

JGT - Thoughts on Bates not on All Freshman Team? I thought he should have been considered.

I didn't even hear about the Wyoming kid.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't think Cutler completely sucks. He's on a terrible team right now after being on a very shaky team before, and has preformed more than decent over his career. He's probably in that second tier of NFL QBs right now with Campbell, Garrard, and Garcia... Definitely no Manning, Favre, Manning, Brees, or...wait, that's all of the legit NFL QBs playing.

  44. my pain pill, which sucks as a pain pill but would make an excellent sleeping pill, is kicking in. I think I can last to kickoff, but it will take some will power.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Mark Ingram looked kinda fat in the interview I just saw

    ReplyDelete
  46. what'd they end up giving you, THT?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anonymous6:31 PM

As a father, I would be miserable if I missed my sons milestone moments like that.

THT I hope you fully recover soon.

    ReplyDelete
  48. speaking of fat, I got grossed out when I put on my shoulder sling. It essentially forces my hand to grab my giant gut. I am officially a lipid.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Percocet - and far more than I'll need. I figure I can sell a few to Hotties In Need to cover the cost of my Rx ;-)

    Thanks, AU1.

Hotties are the best. Y'all have definitely enriched my life more than my flour.

    ReplyDelete
  50. the smaller percs are trash. go back and get the good ones....I hear J-Z makes a good percoset soup.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I asked daughter if she wanted to watch the game and she said NO. That way if a UAT an starts talking about the game, she can tell them she did watch it and she didn't care becasue her team wasn't in the game.

Feb 4th should be very interesting

    ReplyDelete
  70. So tonight's football game is officially called the "Citi BCS Championship". Think of it, one of this nation's most corrupt, ethically bankrupt organizations, which by all rights should have been allowed to fail due to its own administrative incompetence, has gotten themselves involved in the BCS Championship game.

And they even got Citibank to sponsor it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I may not make it another thirty minutes

    ReplyDelete
  72. If AU was in this agme, how many of youwould fork aout about $2,500 per person to go to Pasadena and watch the game knowing it would easily run you about $4,000 for the entire trip.
