Auburn men lose at Vanderbilt
Hey everyone. Jeff Lebo and the gang lost their fourth SEC game in five tries today in Cashville, 82-74.
Auburn led by 13 points early in the second half. The Commodores went on an 11-2 run ... and the rest is history.
Lucas Hargrove led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Vanderbilt was led by Jeffrey Taylor's 18 points.
The Tigers (10-10, 1-4) resume play Thursday night against Ole Miss. That one will be played at The Beav.

Bourbon Street?
Well Favre Favre'd that one away.
I think Manning is one of the best QB's ever....
BUT I'll never cheer for him to win.
Go Saints.
I think if (when?) Manning wins this one, he may very well be No. 1 in my book. He's done it with lesser weapons this year.
Peyton has made Garcon and Gonzalez
Over/Under on the number of times we hear the following words in the next few weeks:
Katrina
Archie
I'd say a million.
Since FSJ and I support different teams, I'll have to pull for the Colts. That, and because I fondly remember Peyton leading the band in Rocky Top after beating UAT.
See Norm..that is why I will never EVER cheer for Manning.
Night, hotties. Hope everyone wakes up on the right side of the bed tomorrow.
Good night, Hotticologists.
i would gladly trade my saints going 0-16 if AU makes one play against bammer on that final drive.
Good morning, Hotties! Hopefully, today will be a better day for Eddie and PF.
Cincy, how are your daughter, you and the rest of the family holding up?
Good morning Luv and all the Hotties.
It's time to rise and shine!
WARRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!
Luv- today is here and God is Great. I'm ready for the week.
I don't why Luv would think that yesterday was not great for me. I had a great weekend...misundertood, indeed.
on that note, who wants to be called a ninny today?
ME! ME! Oh, pick me. Please!
nah, Norm. You called jet obtuse a while back. That deserves something, but ninny isn't it.
Good morning, Hotties.
War Eagle and Geaux Saints!
Hope all of you have a good week. It will be a busy one for me. At least it is starting with an orange and blue sky--in Montgomery at least.
Luv,
We are all doing well. Thanks for asking.
I am posting a link to her blog. Disclaimer: Not sure the guys will be interested in this, more for the HABOTN ladies. But she just talks about what she is dealing with. I am very proud of my precious daughter.
Kathryn's Blog
Dang, well I can assure you that in my many years of knowing him I've called him much worse than that. He is of course my nemesis.
PF ... Norm the Ninny ... sounds alliterative, but redundant.
...and that deserves commendation, or lashing. not sure which.
I am not alliterative. That's girly talk. If I were to be okay with alliteration, I might as well wear tights and arrange flowers.
I like Norm the Ninny, maybe because I am a girl. I think he should change his posting name.
Cincy - that's not necessarily just for girls. I can absolutely empathize.
Cincy - while a name change isn't out of the question, that suggestion is.
Thanks, Norm. I have been amazed at how many people's lives have been touched by miscarriage.
I don't know, Norm the Ninny has quite a ring to it.
Cincy, thanks for sharing Kathryn's blog. One of my favorite verses is Philippians 4:13.
Lebo won 24 games last year! So, it's a little down. It's hard to reload when you play in a bad facility. Give him two years in the new place. If it doesn't improve, then it's time to change. Until then, give him the same measure of chance you gave a 5-19 football coach.
A 5-19 football coach trying to rebuild another school that was down in 2 years isn't the same thing as a coach you've had at your school for over half a decade and still haven't seen too many positive results.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
- Thomas Jefferson
I fell worse about Monday already.
Why's that, PF?
Atlanta Hotties, go help Haiti and fill your bellies tomorrow:
Mellow Mushroom Downtown Atlanta will donate all of the day's sales from open at 11a 'till close at 10p tomorrow Tuesday January 26 to the Hopital Albert Schweitzer in Deschapelles Hati, 40 miles south of the earthquake-ravaged capital city of Port -Au-Prince. This facility miraculously escaped the wrath of the earthqu...ake and is fully functional and overwhelmed with casualties."
Luv,
Rain, Monday, 5-19, Thomas Jefferson...Bad omens, all of them.
Monday you can fall apart...
I really don't like doctors. The ortho clinic cancelled my app't this morning by mistake. I even had the app't confirmation they sent me in the mail. But they have some other patient in that time slot. Never mind that I had to take a vacation day for this. Just another reason I avoid doctors like the plague.
Our phones are dead today. As always, AT&T says it must be something inside and tell me to unhook everything and plug it back in. It is never something with the inside wiring. Why do they always say that?
I'm guessing I'll spend the rest of my day with my cell phone on the front porch on hold with AT&T.
THT, eff that. Show em your confirmation and demand to be seen. They're gonna get backed up at some point today, why shouldn't it be because of you?
...and tell AT&T how bad your day is going already when you get a person. Ask them "You're a person, right? if you were in my situation, wouldn't you just want someone to help you. help me, please, as a person!"
Tar Heel, I agree with PF. You have the confirmation. You should show it to them and tell them you had to take a vacation day and that someone better see you.
Mr. Sensible ...
Tear down this wall!
Just kidding. I appreciate your sense and your sensibility.
I go back to the thoughts that I shared in that Barrel Fish Shoot -- I mean, debate -- with Jimmy Carter back in 1980.
Is Auburn basketball better off today than it was four years ago?
Let's all strive to make Auburn basketball that shining rim on a backboard.
The Great Jetmmunicator,
Excellent point. Let's be good. That's my stance.
Wouldn't just being semi-competitive be an improvement? If so, is Lebo the man to get it there and keep it there? Perhaps not, but then I don't really follow basketball.
Wow, y'all did a crazy amount of posting last night. Entertaining game b/w the Saints and Vikings.
On an AU note, I'm not surprised that the AU men lost at Vandy, but kind of surprised that the women were beaten so handily by UK. The ladies' trip to Knoxville this week is probably not going to be pretty.
Scott Choco, the Ladies' game yesterday was pretty ugly.
It wasn't a good weekend for AU sports in general. In addition to the basketball losses, the gymnastics and both the men's and women's swim teams lost. I don't think I can stand digging any deeper than that.
On a side note, my son and some of his buddies did a road trip to Indy(he's a Jets fan), and while at the game he noticed one of the players with a lot of Auburn gear on. Now this is what he's telling me. But other than Tony Richardson and Jerraud Powers, were there any other AU players in that Jets Colts game? And did anyone notice one of our guys sportin his AU stuff under the NFL stuff?
Mrtommyd, the only former Auburn player on the Colts' current roster is Powers.
BTW it's pretty cool that he's at an AFC championship, goes to UGA, and still notices the Auburn things going on around him.
Article about Bill Cody, former NO Saint and AU Tiger:
Cody
Hello all I was out this weekend but back at work and on the internet today
boss is at lunch thats why I am on the net
But was it a good weekend for AU croutons?? That's all that really matters in sports now, right?
Morning Hotties has the Al.comist session ended for now? Good, hope we all got it out of our system for now.
JGT might get out the big Hammer if we don't take our meds or take the tight sting off.
Is Lebo gone yet. Does Jay have pictures of him with boxes?
are you saying that me saying ninny is al.communist, digger? jhag said he's not afraid to hit an old man... :-)
NO PF and I saw that h jhag would but he could get thrown off a box a bannister or a roof.
I just went back and read all the scrappin' from yesterday - good stuff! I think the whole problem was that the thread got off on the wrong foot with one of FSJ's irksome "#1" posts.
I'll be the devil...
So what's everyone up to this afternoon/morning?
Dang it, you made Saban miss it >>>
This comment has been removed by the author.
Scott...my bad but you did have 5 whole minutes to get in that spot.
Well, it's not like I had a Saban pic saved on my pc. :)
Sure ya didn't...
Good morning all, anything been going on the past day and half?
Saban was also going to piss off PF by just saying, "666!".
You mean...666, aight?
By all accounts Coleman and Reed are sticking with AU. Howard visited Clempson after telling the coaches he wasn't. They are slightly upset with him.
There was a surprise visitor this weekend but it hasn't been leaked yet.
CH, Darius Robinson is who I think?
That's even better! Maybe he'll get another chance next time there's a long thread.
Seanzie - if you're thinking he's the lead singer for Hootie & The Blowfish, you're incorrect.
Naw man, that's Darius Rucker. I saw him sing the National Anthem at a Titans game this year.
Kidding, I was pretty sure you knew that. I don't believe you're considered an idiot any longer are you?
D. Robinson is one thought but I'm thinking it someone that is committed and wants to keep it a secret for now.
Seanzie, since we get some of our info from the same spot I'm sure one of us will update the HABOTN when we find out.
I like Hootie as a counry singer.
Norm, that all depends on Macho Grande...I haven't heard from him in a while and no one else has bestowed said title on me since so...
