As the title may explain, Auburn has signed the coveted DE.
DE Corey Lemonier, 6-5, 225, Hialeah, Fla./Hialeah HS
Lemonier is a full-service player on the weak side. He's unusually quick off the line and is lethal with his swim move. Lemonier isn't heavy by any means, but he's a big kid. He can overpower people. Some might be reminded of Stanley McClover upon first glance, but I see Willie McGinest. Lemonier is significantly more explosive than McClover and plays with an awareness that is uncommon among prep prospects. He made his decision on Wednesday, ending an intense courtship with Auburn and Florida State. Scout.com rates Lemonier as a five-star recruit while Rivals.com has bestowed four stars.
LEMONIER SIGNING DAY SUBSTANCIO!
ReplyDeleteSubstance Lemonade
ReplyDeleteWe got LEMON AID!!!
ReplyDeleteWoooo
ReplyDeleteHope Tomer's will serve lots of lemonade today!
ReplyDeletewhats up with Joel?
ReplyDeleteSo we get Lemonpledge to commit and then follow it up with a commercial where Barkley says "little jocks". I guess that evens things out.
ReplyDeletewhats our surprise of the day?
ReplyDeletehot-diggidy-dawg
ReplyDeleteOr Toomer's! I'm so excited that I can't type today!
ReplyDeleteJoel is west coast...give him some time.
ReplyDelete"Scout.com rates Lemonier as a five-star recruit while Scout.com has bestowed four stars."
ReplyDeleteI think the second scout should be rivals.
Realizing, of course, that wins in February don't count for [Richard] in September- this is an amazing day for Auburn. The coaching staff is to be commended for working their butts off and putting together an amazing class of recruits.
ReplyDeleteGet some!!
ReplyDeleteJust when I think I might give up football it becomes exciting again
ReplyDeleteJoel is trying to find the fax number for the University of Auburn. :)
ReplyDeleteSomeone please help me. There is a "corn dog' in the office today barking about Reed going to LSU. What's going on with this kid?
ReplyDeleteSince Jimbo just wiffed on two big prospects, the ESPN twits can now stop talking about how he's "closing with a flourish." GET SOME - NOT!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's 9:57 am in the PDT. Let's give Joel some time.
ReplyDeleteWhere's Reed?
Thanks, Steve-O.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would see a day that all of the Auburn Family was so excited about National Signing Day...War Damn Eagle
ReplyDeleteConsidering how many of our highly ranked guys washed out in '07 (or was it '06?), I'd be interested in a retrospective on the class in September, once we've seen who's qualified and who had to be placed.
ReplyDeleteDang it, we just got a 150 recruit, and after the break they go back to slobbing Saban's and Dooley's knobs.
ReplyDeleteGEE WHIZ, no wonder ESPNU has to court late night products for commercials, they suck.
Could Smith be the surprise that wtc and Jay G. refers to ?
ReplyDeleteI vote we change the University's name to University of Auburn!
ReplyDeleteWendy Nix has lost weight.
ReplyDeleteJust a quick War Eagle!!! Thanks JGT. Twitter is working wonderfully on this busy day.
ReplyDeletewho is smith?
ReplyDeleteHe's "supposed" to send in his letter within the hour, CH=B. If he can find a working fax machine in Thibidoux, that is.
ReplyDeleteI've heard so much BS about t-dwarf. The most ridiculous has to be the constant refrain about how Dooley has recruited well because he is a "disciple." He worked for him briefly like ten years ago!! BARFFF
ReplyDeleteDo you mean Ryan Smith as the surprise? He signed a while back.
ReplyDeleteThe remaining surprise is a two-star guy ... which may not surprise you at all.
CH=B, I read where Reed's coach has already said he will be signing with Auburn.
ReplyDeleteI meant to say that the fine residents of Thibidoux may have sabotaged their means of transmittal in a last-ditch effort to get him to stay.
ReplyDelete@Kathy - today I finally understand the deal with twitter. I just didn't "get it" before.
Welcome Coffee Cup!!
ReplyDeleteSorry Leader. Guess i missed where he committed to New Mexico of all places. Still waiting on Reed and the "surprise"
ReplyDeleteIf there isn't a recruit left that we feel very highly of - could we "Save" that scholly for next year?
ReplyDeleteJay
ReplyDeleteIf we get Reed (hopefully shortly) and Bonomolo stays as committed and wakes up on the west coast-- won't that be it? that would be 33, including the 5 count back guys. How would we have room for another 2 star OL surprise?
So I'll leave this here: Some good news on Reed
ReplyDelete251, is that info legit?
ReplyDeleteDang it, work keeps getting in the way today. Health inspector walked in right when Lemonier was about to announce. Anyway, perfect score with the Health Dept. and close to perfect in AU krootin!
ReplyDeleteThe count-back guys are exactly that -- they count back to the team's 2009 allotment.
ReplyDeleteLemonade Koolaid!
ReplyDeleteOH YEAH!
Times-Picayune report: WR Trovon Reed (Thibodaux, La.) to Auburn according to his coach.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess we are pretty much done now? Top 3 here we come!!!
ReplyDeleteJay G, when is Reed slated to make his announcement?
ReplyDeleteGood news on Reed. I'll feel better when he gets the fax machine to fire up
ReplyDeleteUSC could pass us CHB
ReplyDeleteCalvin Smith actually had an offer from Alabama, too. New Mexico apparently had too much tradition.
ReplyDeleteFrom the Rivals Chat again, the updated Rivals rankings have AU at #3 currently.
ReplyDeleteThe hot off the presses top 10...
1 Florida 27 4 17 5 3.89 2,929
2 Texas 25 2 19 4 3.92 2,728
3 Auburn 31 3 13 13 3.55 2,490
4 USC 16 4 11 1 4.19 2,348
5 Alabama 26 1 15 9 3.62 2,308
6 LSU 29 1 15 13 3.59 2,255
7 Oklahoma 29 0 16 13 3.55 2,213
8 Tennessee 25 1 12 9 3.44 2,048
9 Florida State 22 2 7 13 3.50 1,881
10 California 19 2 7 10 3.58 1,875
Jay- -figured it out. 31 includes Reed and Bonomolo, even though their LOI's aren't in hand yet. I was thinking 31, without them.
ReplyDeleteSo, you say a 2* OL, and then what for the last spot?
Will Reed get his own post?
ReplyDeleteall i gotta say is if you check the west coast ducks board and Lache has not sent in his LOI....
ReplyDeleteLache, Lache, Lache......
I am so greatful for the hard work Chizik and staff have done this year.
ReplyDeleteIt just proves what laying out a plan and hard work can accomplish.
I appreciate the hard work of one Homer Tate we love his work.
New Mexico has 14 MNCs (more imagination than UAT)
ReplyDeleteThat would be Ausome, DL. At this point, I'm completely & foolishly invested in the rankings
ReplyDeleteDoes West Vance have any chance of catching us? I like the view that they have right now. You know this has to be ripping $atan apart.
ReplyDeleteDear Leader, thats just cruel.
ReplyDeleteCup ... welcome to the HABOTN. I'm a big fan of Coffee Cup ... I'm a frequent user of your product.
ReplyDeleteToday is Lemonade Day, however.
Thanks Jet
ReplyDeleteOther blogs are screaming Lache as well.
ReplyDeleteIn my excitement forgot to say welcome aboard Coffe Cup.
ReplyDeleteBrandon, that's a new post right there.
ReplyDeleteI'll believe it when I see it, CH=B
ReplyDeleteI'm screaming T. Reed personally!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it 251, but it's gaining legs.
ReplyDeleteNew thread UPZ.
ReplyDeleteIt's gaining legs because people won't let it die
ReplyDeleteIt's past 12 so where is Reed's LOI?
ReplyDeleteJose Jose signed with UCF, seriously!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThankd Digger
CH=B Where did you get your icon picture??
ReplyDelete
