Hey everyone. Rivals.com gave Auburn very high marks during the National Signing Day Sweepstakes, deeming coach Gene Chizik's class as the nation's fourth best.
Not too shabby.
Rivals.com on Monday recognized two assistants, Trooper Taylor and Curis Luper, as two of the nation's best recruiters.
Here's what the popular recruiting site had to say:
Luper landed two five-star prospects for the Tigers: junior college QB Cameron Newton and RB prospect Michael Dyer from Arkansas. He also helped the Tigers with Louisiana four-star athlete Trovon Reed. Three-star offensive tackle Ed Christian was also Luper's responsibility. Luper was also the primary mastermind behind "Tiger Prowl" and "Big Cat Weekend." Those two recruiting events helped create a great buzz for Auburn.
Taylor had a big year for the Tigers. He went to Mississippi and landed five-star offensive line prospect Shon Coleman. Taylor went to Louisiana to sign four-star athlete Trovon Reed. Taylor helped Auburn get a big one on Signing Day with four-star defensive end Corey Lemonier. Taylor also got three from Georgia: four-star wide receiver Antonio Goodwin, three-star defensive back Demetruce McNeal and athlete Shaun Kitchens. Four-star defensive end Joel Bonomolo is a junior college transfer from California. Taylor also landed a big in-state commitment in four-star wide receiver Jeremy Richardson. Seven of Taylor's eight prospects were from out of state.

Substance is brought
ReplyDeleteAlso, William Muschamp, whom you may know better as "Will," was named a Rivals.com top recruiter as well.
ReplyDeleteBOOM went BOOM on the recruiting trail, huh?
ReplyDeleteCalm down, I'm here
ReplyDeleteMy favorite number!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that piece of news JGT. I know their names are already out there but I would have preferred they stayed a little more Under the Radar as not to get poached by another program.
ReplyDeleteWhen was the last time assistant coaches at Auburn received some positive press?
ReplyDeleteEddie Gran was an outstanding recruiter who made lists like this.
ReplyDeleteI agree LT. The more positive things that go on, the more other schools are going to be looking at them.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jay G. How quickly I forget... Well, that's nothing new! Just ask anyone that knows me! LOL
ReplyDeleteI was a little surprised that Chiz didn't opt to keep Gran b/c of that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he wanted to totally disavow himself from the Tuberville camp.
Willis would have been a Tubs holdover as well, but he hadn't been w/ Tubs since Ole Miss and he worked as a GA under Chiz back in 2002 anyway. There was more of a relationship between them.
I like Tom Izzo. Have we contacted him? Rick Barnes or Bill Self would also be acceptable.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we'd have a shot at either one of those guys.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Calipari?
It's good to see Trooper & Luper getting some luv from Rivals, but I think you have to give credit to the entire staff for the job they did
ReplyDeleteI want John Wooden
ReplyDeleteDidn't JGT say Thigpin played a bigger role than Troop?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the VD comments on the last thread....that's Valentine's Day for all you perverts.
ReplyDeleteThe founder of The Capstone Report in on PF, his thesis is that The Birmingham News in general and Scarbinski specifically are biased toward Auburn.
ReplyDeleteWhen did this bias begin and why was I not told? I may renew my subscription.
VD or Valentines Day, pre-law or pre-med. What's the difference? I still send the wife a mixed floral arrangement.
ReplyDeleteIf the bammerham news is biased towards AU, I would hate to see it unbiased.
ReplyDeleteScarbinksy is definitely not biased toward Auburn. He goes with whichever way the wind is blowing.
ReplyDeleteMy name's Jim, but my friends call me....Jim.
ReplyDeleteGet some norm
You definitely don't want to be down wind from Scabo.
ReplyDeleteThis is all a product of Auburn's recruiting class this year and the Region commitment this weekend. The bammers can not deal with it, so they cry foul.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in B'ham and this town and it's newspaper have always been colored crimson.
I was listening to F-Baum a bit last week while on the road before Signing Day, and a Bama fan called in specifically to complain about this.
ReplyDeleteSaid the B'ham media was sickening to him with its Auburn bias. He seemed to be longing not for a more objective stance, but a general Bama bias like he had always known and love.
F-Baum was speechless. Seemed almost incredulous that somebody didn't think he was in bed with the Bammers.
Everybody knows B'ham news is slanted Bama's way while Montgomery news is the apex of objectivity.
ReplyDeleteLOL, CH=B!
ReplyDeleteWade, I concur. The bammers can't stand it.
Jay G as usual I'm a little late to the party but I want to thank you for the job you do.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm sorry for the loss of your grandaddy. Consider yourself blessed to have known him and to have had a great bond with him. I only knew one of my grandparents...
what I would give to have known them all.
Such is the circle of life.
CH=B,
ReplyDeleteI guess I am the lone female on this blog who loves Valentine's Day. I think tulips, chocolates and a restaurant coupon sound lovely.
In 10th grade I thought I was slick and broke up with a girl in early February to avoid buying her anything for V-day. Then I realized I missed out on a v-day and a birthday present from her. I dumped that stock too early.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cincy.
ReplyDeleteDid you see my post on Saturday (I think) about how I proposed to my wife? I had mentioned a while back that I would tell you.
I tend to agree with those that think Valentine's Day is a sham, but for the sake of staying out of trouble I do it.
ReplyDeleteI think VD is completely harmless.
ReplyDelete...
Wait. That doesn't sound right.

ReplyDeleteIf The Birmingham News is Auburn biased then I'm leading the train of sunshine pumpers.
ReplyDeleteIf I hear anybody claim that global warming is the cause of the warm weather in Olympics I'm going to hurl.
ReplyDeleteBut it is...ask Al Gore.
ReplyDeleteGlobal warming is also responsible for Chris Johnson's 2k rushing season.
ReplyDeleteSee anyone can make stuff up.
1. Scarbo is fair (as is Goldberg). We know what Melick is about. It is what it is.
ReplyDelete2. Can we acknowledge that was some HOTTIE unrest regarding Trooper and Luper during the fall? It was unwarranted. They are bad mu--
(Shut yo mouth!)
I'm just talkin' 'bout Trooper and Luper.
Who had unrest re:the coaches?
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be "under the radar." I want the radar operators in West Vance and other SEC outposts to see us coming and scream maniacally "INCOMING!" before diving out a window.
ReplyDeleteGlobal warming is so bad that we're going to have or second blizzard in less than a week.
ReplyDeleteJet,
ReplyDeleteLOL!
Jet, I have no idea about West Vance, but the mullets are running scared.
ReplyDeleteSeanzie ... More than one fussed that Thigpen and Grimes were doing all the work and Troop/Luper weren't getting recruits. What no one knew was that Troop was in time out.
ReplyDeleteFYI, cold trends can actually be a result of global warming.
ReplyDeleteSo says Lisa Simpson.
Well, raise my rent, ehyou, you are The Kid!
ReplyDeleteehyou - A man drink like that and he don't eat, he is going to DIE.
ReplyDeleteMarriage can be murder (or double murder).
ReplyDeleteSo says OJ Simpson.
Ah, gotcha Jet. I think Luper and Taylor earned their coffee this year.
ReplyDeleteDid HE say that?
ReplyDeleteWell I be john brown.
Bro and John Brown have killed the thread.
ReplyDeletePartially my fault.
ReplyDeleteWDE Luper & Trooper. good work.
ReplyDeleteY'all may have already talked about this, but there is a great video of Trooper on the Auburn website. It is one of the Auburn Football Everyday clips.
ReplyDeleteGive the whole damn coaching staff a raise along with JGT while you're at it ... they all kicked some tail this past year...pass the hat this way when anyone comes to take away Malzy!
ReplyDeleteWDE!
Jet ..I musta missed the negative speculative posts regarding Trooper and Luper's recruiting efforts.
ReplyDeleteI really don't remember spewing a diatribe regarding such ...and odds are that I would have.
All's well, that ends well.
Actually the Artic is warmer than in normal years. Weather patterns have shoved cooler air down here and warmer air up there. The average earth temps are still rising.
ReplyDeleteMy issue with Mr Gore is the assertion that it is man's actions causing the rising temps. Clearly we are unlocking carbon and increasing CO2, but there are too many conflicting and coincidental historical occurrences that could also be the cause of rising temps. Should we carefully make allowances and adjustments just in case Gore is right? Sure, why not. Should we adopt Kyoto protocols, ruin economies and throw civilization into turmoil? I don't think so.
Sorry for the political discussion.
JG ...Nice recap of the AU recruiting class. You mentioned that we needed WR depth. I would say that we had WR depth in numbers, but we needed a WR talent upgrade.
ReplyDeleteOn another note: Chris Low has Cam Newton listed as the #1 SEC newcomer to watch for next season.
I know the arguments. I was just making the same statement about the severe winter (for the mid Atlantic) everyone makes about severe hurricanes. You can't blame any one storm on warming. Solar activity is probably underestimated as a contributer.
ReplyDeleteCam has great potential. I hope he realizes it. I think he has the coaches and the surrounding players to make it happen.
Big gaps in the posting.
ReplyDeleteI agree the mullturds are going around the bowl and soon will be down the hole.
They weren't suppose to have this much pressure with his greatness in total control ...oops ...maybe not control at all.
I get a sense of fear from the Bammers. Even with their recent success, they remember Auburn's dominance of the last decade and feel us breathing down their necks again.
ReplyDeleteIf we continue recruiting like this year and can retain the coaching staff, I think things will be pretty balanced between the 2 schools.
What'd I miss today?
ReplyDeleteI hate when work gets in the way of HABOTNing....
For someone (me) who doesn't care anything about basketball, this time of year sucks.
ReplyDeleteok.... the Hoff is starting to bother me... I need a new avatar...
ReplyDeleteAny nominations?
NoVaTiger, thats what i was getting at. Just took the crude road.
ReplyDeleteNorm - get hooked on hockey. It's the only way to get through the next few months.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Norm, I would go stir crazy if it weren't for MX. Luckily the supercross season starts right as football is winding down. And the Motocross season ends right as football is starting up. It works out pretty well.
ReplyDeleteyea baby!!!
ReplyDeletedmiller...
ReplyDeleteI vote Michael Knight.
From ESPN.COM ...
ReplyDelete#1 SEC Newcomer to watch...
1. Auburn quarterback Cameron Newton: In the spirit of full disclosure, Newton isn’t completely new to the SEC. He played some as a freshman at Florida in 2007 and also played a few snaps in the 2008 opener before getting in trouble off the field and leaving Florida. He comes to Auburn after passing for 22 touchdowns and rushing for 16 touchdowns last season in leading Blinn College to the junior college national championship. The 6-6, 245-pound Newton has everything Gus Malzahn is looking for to run his spread offense and is already enrolled in school, meaning he’ll be able to go through spring practice. It would probably be an upset if Newton doesn’t win the Tigers’ starting quarterback job.
Some people stand in the darkness, afraid to step into the light.
ReplyDeleteBut the Hoff doesn't.
Man monday nights suck on here
ReplyDeleteWhere is everybody? snowed under?
ReplyDeleteI officially pulling for Auburn to hire
ReplyDeleteChris Mooneyfor Auburn's new Men's BB coach
I like the video posted earlier regarding the UA coaches tirade over losing Regions.
ReplyDelete'How can they not come to UA, i have a statue'
You think I am a kind father figure don't you?'
Just too funny.
wtc ...I sent that Youtube link to several friends. Hilarious
ReplyDeleteThis time last year we had just finished firing and hiring a coach. there was a lot to talk about. The quietness is probably a healthy sign.
We are entering the mini-doldrums that occur after NSD while waiting for spring training.
The Doldrums are a good time to get caught up on work projects, honey-dos and continue hatin' on the Cousin-Humping Walmartians.
Everyone is still in their Signing Day detox phase.
ReplyDeleteFinally got back to the gym tonight after a 3-month hiatus. I refuse to let the elliptical get the best of me!
ReplyDeleteAny word on when spring practice begins?
Happy Rainy Tuesday, Hotties! One time, just one time, why can't one of these systems bring Bham some snow? I'm not asking for several big snowfalls every winter - just one really good one every few years.
ReplyDeleteD. Miller, I was going to ask you to bring your doggie back, but I see you opted for Macgyver. You can't wrong with him.
Rainy? I've got to go into work for a while before the next one hits. I've got plans Saturday that I hope I'll be able to get out for.
ReplyDeleteThere's already been several roof collapses and there's likely to be a lot more tomorrow.
I'm with you luv. I know it would be a mess but I 3-4 just one time. Right now I feel as though I live in a rain forest. All it does is rain.
ReplyDeletethat's I "want" 3-4 feet just one time.
ReplyDelete207 days till kickoff. Just sayin'
ReplyDeleteplaces to go, people to see
ReplyDeletecan't wait any longer for...
ReplyDeleteKudos to all the coaches for this year's recruiting class. I know this was a team effort.
ReplyDeleteYet another cloudy, wet, cold day. This is getting depressing.
Be safe Hotties. I'm traveling to B'ham after work for a John Mayer concert with my youngest daughter. This will be a long day.
Hey all. Just got back from Disney. Got to see Drew Brees yesterday, so I guess he really did go to Disney World.
ReplyDeleteAnybody know how much a maid service would cost in the Helena area?
ReplyDeleteI almost want to pay someone to come clean my house... 1 good time... a thorough spring cleaning (It's close enough to spring, groundhog be damned).
Check out this 2005 article on the top QB recruits.
ReplyDeleteLook who was number 10.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/web/COM1038905/1/index.htm
Very interesting stupup. Funny that almost half didn't seem to get to the level they were projecting. But also interesting to see all the top guys that did perform as projected
ReplyDeleteOf the 10, 3 made any kind of impression in my mind.
ReplyDeleteTwo of them on that list are from close to where I grew up. I feel bad for Caudle. Maybe at a smaller school, he would have gotten a lot more playing time.
ReplyDeletePat Devlin ended up going to Penn State for two years. He was Daryll Clark's backup in 2008 and did well, but he ending up transferring to Delaware.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Snead has done pretty good at Ole Miss, and Juice Williams has done good for Illinois, and evidently Jake Locker has been good in the hole of Washington. True not to the level Stafford, and Tebow made their schools, but they've ended up contributing.
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to Mustain? Is he still waiting for his chance at USC?
I happened to stumble across the article this morning, and I found it to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteI just wonder what could have been for Caudle and Mustain.
Mitch Mustain
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this was talked about when it happened, but what is the backstory there? Why did Ol' Nutt pull him?
Kathy:
ReplyDeleteFor you for USA Today:
SPRING SNAPSHOT: Auburn has yet to announce the specifics of its spring practice schedule, but the Tigers likely will get started in late March and will wrap things up April 17 at their annual A-Day game.
Morning, Hotties. Need some help with big screen recommendations for the media room. I'm thinking about the Panasonic 65' Plasma 1080P. Any reviews or recommendations??
ReplyDeleteComm'r... Go OLED, forget plasma.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of the Samsung LED. If I had the money, I'd have one. Best Buy is having some great sales right now.
ReplyDeletecommr...
ReplyDeleteThis topic normally generates multiple reviews, all going in different directions. Good luck.
As my 10 yr old tube tv still shows little people running around, I have nothing to offer.
I agree with D. Miller. You can get an LED now for 1/2 of what we paid for our plasma about 4 years ago. The picture is SO much better.
ReplyDeleteI've got a Samsung 42" from a few years back that I like. I just always heard that plasma has a brighter picture (in addition to being the fourth element of matter)
ReplyDeleteThis is the one I'd get, if I had the money:
ReplyDeleteSamsung LED
Good news: I'm back home.
ReplyDeleteBad news: I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
Good review of Plasma v LCD.
ReplyDeleteI didn't say I haven't been looking.
Family doing better jet?
ReplyDeleteJet, Yay......awwww
ReplyDeleteThe girls are fine and back in action. I'm working from the house today.
ReplyDeleteCommish - true, you'll find a mix of reviews here on the topic as has happened in the past. The most important thing I'd caution you on is the glare factor. If your room gets light from outdoors, a plasma is much more subject to glare than an LCD or LED option. Beyond that, good luck and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that everytome I go to the dr it is rainy and nasty outside? I always get here late.
ReplyDeleteI'm now HABOTNing from inside my holding cell... I mean the exam room. I wonder what the wait will be today?
Good news though. The nurse is hot.
ReplyDeletenice DM. :)
ReplyDeleteyour phone has a camera, right?
ReplyDeleteHi, Scottie! Did you have a better yesterday?
ReplyDeleteehyou, LOL!
Who's your doctor, D. Miller?
ReplyDeleteI doubt I can get her to pose. And I don't want to get tossed out of the dr's office for being a creep.
ReplyDeletetoday is much better Luv. thanks so much. i just love the hotties. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an even better day today! :-)
ReplyDeleteLuv,
ReplyDeleteDr. Teague today. He an endocrinologist in Homewood. I like him, good doctor.
I know it is bad, but I see 3 different specialists fairly regularly, but I don't have a family doc. Any recommendations, luv?
Dr. Tim Real at Brookwood Internists. I used to work there. I kept him as my doctor. He's an Auburn grad. I really like him. His nurse - although not hot - is super nice.
ReplyDeleteThere are no hotties in my Dr's office. Use to be a cutie but she decided to move back to Ohachee to take care of her horses. Talk about a southern accent wow she had one. Good nurse though.
ReplyDeleteAnd he's a family doc? I'll have to look into whether he's accepting new patients. Thanks. Brookwood is where my ENT is, which reminds me. I need to schedule an appt with them. Stupid sinuses!
ReplyDeleteDigger, I used to know a very cute girl from Ohatchee, about my age, that lived on a horse farm.
ReplyDeleteThere can't be many in Ohatchee.
If he's not taking new patients, ask about Dr. Frederickson. I think he also went to Auburn.
ReplyDeleteMargaret and Tom Riser are good too. I didn't really care for any of the other ones.
ReplyDeleteRe: Television discussion. New plasma TVs have awesome pictures and they've corrected the burn-in issue. LCDs seem to fight glare a little bit but are prone to blurring at akward angles. The blacks on an LCD aren't as deep as they are on a plasma. Supposedly backlit LCDs (LED) fix a lot of those issues but they can be pricey.
ReplyDeleteMy dad has a new plasma, and it's made by Panasonic. He loves it. I own a Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD...I love it. The only issues I have are re: gaming and movies you don't get that same depth of color contrast that you'd get with a plasma.
D Miller don't know if she had a farm or just a few horses. First name was Cathy.
ReplyDeleteThe Auburn Beat (Evan Woodbery) has a good article on how the 2005 Auburn recruiting class did in 5 years. Worth reading.
Anybody remember the drought in Atlanta? The one that had Ga, Al and Fl in a huge lawsuit over Atl taking all the water from the hooch? Well.....make it stop raining here PLEASE ... I have a permanent pump in the basement now for all the water....
ReplyDeleteOK back to your regular programming.
Just remember Big Mike, the drought isn't officially over until Lake Lanier is at flood stage
ReplyDeleteBigMike: I'm going to buy a boat ... without a trailer.
ReplyDeleteSeanzie, re: your LCD. What about sports? We don't do much gaming nor do we watch many movies. All we care about is sports.
ReplyDeleteScottie B. Programming Note:
ReplyDeletei'm heading to Wild Wing Cafe here in Knoxville in 2 hours to see the Braves Caravan. Otis Nixon, Jordan Shafer, Jo-Jo Reyes & others are here. no really big names but still cool.
me & mrs. scottie got a 40" SONY Bravia LCD after christmas. open box special. we've been pretty happy.
ReplyDeleteOtis Nixon? Wow. I figured he would've died of a heroin overdose or something by now.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what Data from Star Trek is up to nowadays.
ReplyDeletePF, i'll try to get a nice pic of Otis for ya.
ReplyDeletei prefer Data from The Goonies
ReplyDeleteHe's probably caravaning around with washed up Sci-Fi stars and up and coming Battlestar Gallactica characters, Mikey. I bet they'll be stopping at Bill's Wing Shack in Huntsville if you want to go check him out.
ReplyDeleteBoottie Twap?
ReplyDeleteHe looks SO different without the Data makeup!
ReplyDeleteData
by different, you mean old, right?
ReplyDeletePF: You must be mistaking Otis Nixon for someone else. Otis has his own philanthropic group and is actively engaged in charities (including for the homeless), a strong follower of Christ, and regularly speaks at Churches about his faith. He is the real deal.
ReplyDeleteMichael, for all you've ever wanted to know about the man who played Data, go to: http://www.therealbrentspiner.com/
ReplyDeleteI'm willing to bet that PF was thinking of Pascual Perez and rather than Otis Nixon.
ReplyDeleteYou can also go watch Tourettes Guy doing bench press on youtube to find out what Data is up to. I will not link it, since the language is incredibly graphic, but I will let those of you incapable of being offended find it on your won if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteQuestion....
ReplyDeleteIf USC ends up having to giv eup some wins...like FSU did.. and one of those is in 2004...
Who would be NC?
DL ... It could potentially be "vacated."
ReplyDeleteNo one else gets crowned.
The MJT Eurasian Poll would award Auburn with the National Title, Jet.
ReplyDeleteHumph....just wondering..
ReplyDeleteMichael ...
ReplyDeleteThat's the prize with the football made of goat hair, right?
Straight nowadays maybe, but back in the day Nixon could've ran around 285.
ReplyDeleteYes Jet, with puppet corpses on the inside.
ReplyDeleteI went with a Vizio 3 yrs ago because it was much cheaper than the rest. I have loved it. From what I understand it has the parts of all of the big named brands. Vizio just assembles the parts and sells it under their name.
ReplyDeleteOn a recruiting note the Dismukes kid who was supposedly going to commit to the walmartians this week has delayed his decision.
ReplyDeleteDecent article on Cam "don't call me a fig" Newton.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.wareagleauburn.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=362:cam-newton-his-road-to-redemption&catid=36:auburn-football
Reall, Comm'r? Otis Nixon Never got suspended by the MLB for cocaine use? Give me a break. I was making a joke, and could care less about his current religious beliefs.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not mistaken, Sony and Philips are the only (there may be a third) manufacturers of the pieces/parts which go into an LCD, LED or Plasma. At least, that's the way it used to be a handful of years ago. So, if you buy a brand other than those, you're still getting their parts but the spelling on the front may be different. All kind of like Sara Lee makes a good bit of product being sold under other names which you may not have even thought about or considered.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I have a 42" Sony Bravia XBR LCD hanging above my fireplace and absolutely love it.
I plan on going 50 inch plasma... one day.
ReplyDeleteI think I actually might wait and see what happens with the new 3D TV sets that will be rolling out soon. Perhaps I will finally make the HD plunge next spring.
Wow, I go out of town for a few days and there's a j-z sighting on the HABOTN! Nobody got too close, did they?
ReplyDeleteI dunno if that holds anymore, Norm. Vizio gets parts from some manufacturer in Taiwan, and I suspect several others have similar situation. These times, they are a'changin'.
ReplyDeleteScott Choco, he wasn't around long enough!
ReplyDeleteLuv, the picture on the Sharp is excellent for sports. Make sure you get one with a high enough refresh rate, if LCD is the route you go.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried these?
ReplyDeleteGrapple
Seanzie, it's so hard to keep up with the latest in tecnology. A year ago 120 Hz was the fastest. Now they have 240.
ReplyDelete120 is adequate I find. I believe mine is 120. 240 was a pipe dream when I purchased.
ReplyDeleteMine's 120 too and I've had zero complaints.
ReplyDeleteThats weird ehyou.
ReplyDeleteColt 45 > Sex Panther
ReplyDeleteIt works every time.
They've done studies you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.
ReplyDeleteSo a guy at work just came by with this thought: Nick Saban signs Drew Brees. The Dolphins stay competitive and Nick has more success and doesn't leave Miami for Alabama. Alabama still gets rejected by Rich Rod...who do they hire? Tuberville doesn't look so bad without Saban at UA? Is he still the coach at AU? Who takes over at T. Tech for Mike the Pirate? Who is the QB for the Saints? They probably don't win the Super Bowl...
ReplyDeleteGotta love the butterfly effect.
Peter brought that up last week sean (not kidding). Please pay attention to what goes on around here (kidding).
ReplyDeleteSorry, should have put the SIAP disclaimer in there.
ReplyDeleteI continue to keep Shaka Smart, head coach at VCU, at the top of my list.
ReplyDelete17-5 record.
I hate it when work thinks you don't have enough to do at a given point so they loan you to another department to assist. And then they forget that they loaned you to said department and still think you aren't busy enough so they loan you to another. And then if that was enough, when your department has a project come down the pipe they expect you to play a large role in making it happen. The boss then comes by and says hey, you're name was mentioned for this other thing. All because 4 months ago you had a project end and had some bandwidth.
ReplyDeleteI guess that's what some people call job security.
ReplyDeleteIf the next basketball coach wasn' hired into a bad situation where he went [the equivilent of] 5-19, I don't want to know about him. Unexplainable hires only.
ReplyDeleteJack Del Rio for basketball coach.
ReplyDeletePF ... Asking for the 7 year extention for Lebo with a $15 million buyout if changing coaches is mentioned on a message borad.
ReplyDeleteAnd what do you call it, Seanzie?
ReplyDeleteI call it "sucks to be me".
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteFunny, Jet.
ReplyDeleteSeazie,
ReplyDeleteI like it. That's the kind of guy we need. He looks good in a suit.
That and he pitches a fit with the best of em.
ReplyDeleteOn the TV.... wait on the OLED to hit the market this year. Then get an OLED with 240Hz and a 4ms refresh and a minimum of 50000:1 contrast ration... and you're set.
ReplyDeleteThink he'll throw a chair at the opposing mascot? If so, we need to hire him immediately and get Stanford on the schedule to open up the new arena. A drunken tree getting taken out by a flying chair thrown by an ex-NFL coach coaching college basketball is pretty much the ticket to success.
ReplyDeletePete, I hope you're already dialing his number!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Michael. I'm waiting on the 3D's to come out before I buy another TV. I want to walk in my front door, and immediately put on some goofy glasses that I stole from that indoor rollercoaster at Opryland that had the 3D holograms.
ReplyDeleteAlthough if not the Stanford mascot, I'd be a big fan of bringing in Western Kentucky and seeing the blob known as Big Red taken out.
ReplyDeleteDialing his number? I'm looking up directions to his house on Google maps.
ReplyDeleteWow, Opryland...that's a blast from the past. That thing closed down like 10 years ago!
ReplyDeleteI like that strategy, face to face. He seems like the kind of guy that would appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI think we're gonna make this guy flip.
