- One of Auburn's top overall prospects, QB Christian LeMay of Butler High in North Carolina, is at practice. He looks good. Some observers believe he's the region's most highly regarded quarterback.
- Bart Eddins (knee) and Philip Pierre-Louis (knee) were not on the field.
- Officials are on hand, so it's reasonable to assume there will be a scrimmage of some kind this morning. I won't see it. You won't see it. My guess is that none of us will hear about it.
- The wideouts went through their usual array of challenging warm-up catches off the JUGS machine without a single drop. Assistant coach Trooper Taylor was fired up about that.
- Signee Shaun Kitchens attended practice.
- Former players Antarrious Williams and Tommy Jackson also attended practice. They are widely known by their two-letter nicknames: AT and TJ.
- ESPN analyst Craig James attended practice. He seemed out of place with his designer jeans. Maybe it's just me.

ReplyDeleteWhere is everyone?
ReplyDeletesubstance!!!
ReplyDeleteDid the formerly highly paid college star known as "The Pony" look round for any utilty closets holding players in the dog house?
ReplyDeleteJGT.... you still sticking by your story the CM will be the No.2!
ReplyDeleteAh...I assume blogger is screwy again.
ReplyDeleteWow, my blogger wouldn't post anything, then all the sudden all three of my attempted posts show up.
ReplyDeleteWas Craig James shown Auburn's exquisite shed facilities?
ReplyDeleteWas CJ scouting for his son? Looking for a place to transfer to.
ReplyDeleterk, I apologize for my similarly themed post. Your post had been in hiding.
ReplyDeleteits sucking wind DL!!!
ReplyDeleteRK: I've been having the same problem!
ReplyDeletetap tap tap
ReplyDeleteIs this thing on?
crazy, how did i get bumped from the first post, i'm appealing this and throwing the red flag
ReplyDeleteAUBURN i think we have a problem with the Blogger!!!!
ReplyDeleteNO DROPS! atta boy WR's!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Craig James.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed following for some time and decided to finally join in. WDE
ReplyDeletenice pics homes.
ReplyDeleteJGT, that's a nice Championship Ring Christian LeMay is sporting... can you find out what it's for?
ReplyDeleteJay G,
ReplyDeletePlease assure Mr. Designer Jeans guy that there are no players in sheds.
Welcome, Sparky!
ReplyDeletePics going up. Check the blog front, peops.
Blogger gets a little nuts sometimes.
ReplyDeletehuh, little nuts.
Welcome the the HOTTIE Zone AUsparky!!!
ReplyDeleteAny chance we'll get a picture of Craig James and his designer jeans?
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should retract that question...
what, no pics of these Craig James' designer jeans?
ReplyDeleteaaarrrggghhhh, you beat me to it!
ReplyDeleteI missed that call to come to the new thread. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the jeans on my way out ... and didn't get any shots. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI expected one of our gals to perhaps ask for evidence. I didn't expect such fervor from the males!
JGT there are man crushes abound!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have no man crush on Craig James (or any other male) and am not necessarily interested in his jeans. I will say that there are likely quite a few males also working for my employer who would be very interested in seeing such a picture. It interests me that he was there but that's about it. I do think MJT is a sissy. And now it's time for lunch.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, welcome Sparky and anyone else who's new and I've not welcomed.
don't hate on me for the pants comment. JG brought it up. :)
ReplyDeleteThem's fightin words, Norm! To the shed with ya!
ReplyDeleteTroop needs to work on his stance. Very sloppy. I bet the players were all over him for that.
ReplyDeleteJay, I got a twenty I'll give you if you walk over to Craig James, sound official, and tell him he must wait in the closet in the field house until practice is over.
ReplyDeleteMJT - I just got back upstairs to my desk from the cafeteria with my lunch. Can we postpone it until a bit later?
ReplyDeleteHiya, Hotties, and Welcome, Sparky.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the UGA story, I have some distant relatives in Heard County, GA. As the elders in the family say, some of those folks are "rough." They don't even get along with each other.
Welcome sparky.
ReplyDeleteI find your wife, Beverly D'Angelo supremely HAWT.
Sure, Norm. I don't want to inconvenience you in any way.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of a word to describe the taste of this Diet Pepsi...it's NSFW.
ReplyDeleteDiet Pepsi sucks.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff and pics/
ReplyDeleteI am glad you found Eric and he is doing well. He will be one of the mainstays of this team if he doesn't get spiffy off the field.
Good to see some of the potential stars at practice.
Diet Anything Suxs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay for the substance
ReplyDeleteMJT - thank you kindly for the consideration. I will also have to request that you not come as Capt. Boxhead as that would seem to be a helmet providing an unfair advantage.
ReplyDeleteDiet anything sucks as does any Pepsi-related beverage. If they still own the Frito-Lay company, then that's about anything they have which does not suck.
Welcome Sparky.
ReplyDeleteCincy,
What did your son major in to get an offer like that right out of school?
I'm calling a 10-2 season and another top 5 recruiting class.
If we stay healthy and get solid QB play we have the schedule to have a really good season.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone has looked at the schedule, but it's a pretty favorable one for us.
I do still wish we kicked off with UCLA this year though.
ReplyDeleteFrito Chili Pie.
ReplyDeletei'm starving. i need some grub. badly.
ReplyDeleteWas Craig James reporting for ESPN or was he there to report back to Lubbock about the machine that we are putting together here?
ReplyDeleteLittle Dooey in Starkville ... Gets a thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteMJT, I've got some Diet Mt. Dew cans that you can throw at Norm. Those are empties, though. If you want to throw something more substantial, I'm definitely okay with full Diet Pepsi cans being launched.
ReplyDeleteSC, diet MTN Dew is my favorite. It's my morning and afternoon coffee.
ReplyDeleteDiet Mt Dew is rubbish. For a real kick in the pants, I go with Vault Zero.
ReplyDeleteScoCho - since I accused MJT of being a sissy, I'll then follow that up with the supposition that he throws like a girl. Not like a fast-pitch softball throwing girl but like a little T-ball aged girl. That's what I imagine. That being the case, I'm not afraid of being hit by anything he attempts to throw.
ReplyDeleteHe throws like Smalls before Benny hooked him up with his mad skills.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of launching other full beverage cans, I used to have one of those rubber tubing water balloon launchers. That thing would let one fly about 100 yards or so (rotten eggs went pretty far too). A couple of friends and I got the bright idea to launch some water balloons at cars one night. We stationed ourselves in a cow pasture (which I believe is now a neighborhood in the Gump) quite a ways from the road and let many water balloons fly. Much hilarity ensued from our perspective as we each managed to hit a couple of cars. The hilarity continued right up until the time when one of us launched at a car with the driver's window opened. You get one guess where that shot landed. We called it quits then and hightailed it back to the house.
ReplyDeleteThat thar was some nice shootin' boy.
ReplyDeleteNorm,
ReplyDeleteI'm 33, and reading the launcher story makes me want to go out and do that this afternoon.
Does that make me immature?
They work wonderfully from a 15th floor balcony at the beach. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteNot sure this has been mentioned elsewhere, but when I was a student, we had classes in the morning. Football practice was something like 2 - 5pm in the afternoon and you had to schedule it like a class. How the heck do these guys practice in the morning and go to class?
ReplyDeleteFootball players have to go to class?
ReplyDeleteSome mates and I were almost arrested by the campus police, when there was such a thing, back in 2003 for having one of those launcher deals on campus...firing at some fraternity brothers as they were leaving chapter...ridiculous the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteThanks JGT for the great updates & pictures.
ReplyDeleteCincy, congrats to Tylerson! Two recommendations for him. Right down the street from his apartment on the corner of Slaughter/Hwy 20 is a very good dentist, Dr. Thomas Holland, who uses a very SUPERB dental lab!!! Also, right across the street (on Slaughter) is an excellent vet, Dr. Thomas Waite (Cornerstone Animal Hospital) who is an Auburn grad.
Cincy, vet is Dr. Jay Waite. Should read what I type before hitting publish!
ReplyDeleteMe and a buddy use to get on the train tracks over 231 in Ozark late at night and throw water balloons at the big trucks. It was funny until a State Trooper got wind and came after us. It was about a 1.5 miles run back to the house in a dead sprint at night. Oh those were the days.
ReplyDeleteWERK - I'm 45 and I'd like to launch some today too.
ReplyDeleteI remember the Kappa Sigs used to go "car fishing". They would rig up a beer can to a fishing pole and cast if in the road. When a car would come by you would try to hook it under the car. Its all fun and games until you hook and undercover cop.

ReplyDeleteJG - Sounded Great on D&B,
ReplyDeleteHope they keep the segment all year
