  6. Great day in Hoover ... provided you're not on the roads outside the stadium. Then you're not happy.

I came in via back roads. No problems for me. I have friends on I-459 who are stopped.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Can't you watch Gametracker at least on the AU Tigers website? Or listen to SportsRAdio 740 out of the gump on-line?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Josh Rutledge just struck out on a 71 mph changeup.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm afraid I'm not going to get much work done this morning....

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm listening via 740am if you can't get it anywhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Good start...glad to be working from home today, got the TV on in the background.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  27. actually there are no stats at all.

    ReplyDelete
  28. sweet found a radio and I now have the game.

    ReplyDelete
  29. ain't got no gametracker, ain't got no 740am, ain't got no ESPN3, ain't got no tv.

All I got is JGT's live updates.

Speaking of which.. weird shift with all the fielders congregated in the outfield.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Need some clutch early pitching here.

    ReplyDelete
  31. swing and a miss...inning over!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nice strike out with two on.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I feel a ding dong coming up.

Wait did I just say that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. time for the Tigers to GET SOME.. YARDAGE!!!

    works for baseball, too

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm updating the front page quite often. That would be a good place to go in lieu of the faltering SEC stats.

    ReplyDelete
  36. wow this is going fast

    ReplyDelete
  37. Damn. A lot of zone misses for Nelson via the boys of 740, but doesn't seem like our guys are getting their bats squared up. 1-2-3, to the top of three.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i'm refrdhing homr page q10sec

    ReplyDelete
  39. 1, 2-3-4-5, them theyuh gada don take no jive

    ReplyDelete
  42. jay, is it crowded and hot?

    ReplyDelete
  43. we've got the small ball, and the ding dong. odd combination, but it gets the job done.

    ReplyDelete
  44. DIGGITY DOG SQUEEZE A LEEZE!

So close to getting the man on too.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Justin time.. times 2?!!?

    ReplyDelete
  46. WOOOOOOOOO

triple!!! (technically a 2b plus the e9. but screw it. 3b)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I HATE that I am at work. The weather if great and the crowd at the game is one of the best ever per the radio heads.

    ReplyDelete
  48. A squeeze play? In college baseball? I definitely recall learning here a couple of weeks ago that that sort of play and strategy only happened in girls softball.

I feel very confident that PF will also recall that lesson.

    ReplyDelete
  49. i hate we wasted that triple.
    i hate ua-t a lot more.

    ReplyDelete
  50. UA-T I got a brother-in-law that is a bama grad and he HATES it when I call it ua-t GO AU

    ReplyDelete
  51. Walked the bases loaded. 2 Outs. Hargs had an error that was an easy DP ball.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Norm, I tuned out that garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  53. !@#$

2 Unearned score on a single.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Going to MUTE on my TV after that last cheer. Ugh, I hate those people.

    ReplyDelete
  55. So far we are lucky (no pun intended) to just be down 2-1.

    ReplyDelete
  56. gonna have to listen and go to work....keep up the good work everyone! warEagle!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Messy error at second base really cost AU there.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Jay G, how bad did the miss at 2b look in person? I've got the ISP a-runnin.

    ReplyDelete
  59. blog us up some AU ding dongs, Homer.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Auburn not wearing Under Armour caps today, for those keeping score.

    ReplyDelete
  61. even if I was keeping score, I wouldn't know how to score that

    ReplyDelete
  62. but not deep enough... rats

    ReplyDelete
  63. crap, that was a way too easy 3 up, 3 down inning for the UA pitcher.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Jack Cox has a little bit of ding dong on his mind with that call. Everyone knows Auburn is always right.

    ReplyDelete
  65. woo! double play to take care of the turd on first.

    ReplyDelete
  66. JGT - I think it would be cool on the front page live blog if you replaced "ALABAMA" with "INFIDELS".

    ReplyDelete
  67. after all, this is the HATINEST AUBURN BLOG ON THE NET!

    I HATE UA-T!!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. love me some Darvin Adams

    HATE ME SOME TIDE!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hellooooo Kennesaw, GA!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. i's wondering where you were

    ReplyDelete
  71. At this point we need to start working the pitch count up and try to get Nelson out of there.

    ReplyDelete
  72. we got the double play, then what?

    ReplyDelete
  73. dunno, missed it. stupid work phone calls.

    ReplyDelete
  74. then some other stuff happened. then we went 3 up 3 down in the bottom of 5, and the turds do the same in the top of 6. Luckie and Nelson are both fairly settled in, and both defenses sound like they're playing well. Moreso Nelson settled than Luckie, and our defense making better plays (sans the sole error).

    ReplyDelete
  75. thanks, wells. I'm lost here.

    ReplyDelete
  76. someone in Hoover check and make sure JGT is ok. I always worry about his well being when he takes a break without me knowing ahead of time. Yes, I'm a helicopter hottie.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Dang. These infidels have more ups than AU basketball.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Jay G is probably visiting Hoopie.

    ReplyDelete
  79. They got ups, but no downs. An error by the third baseman gives us a man on first. Alas the depth of right field prevents Hunter Morris from knocking it out. Inning over. Time is quickly running out.

    ReplyDelete
  80. 2/3 done. we're just getting warmed up....hopefully.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Little late, but this may be an alternative to watching on ESPN3. I'm not sure if it's up, because I refuse to put microsoft silverlight on this machine.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Unfortunately playing on this field has cost us two HR's so far today.

    ReplyDelete
  83. no alternatives at work :-(

    ReplyDelete
  84. Saw the game traffic on 459 and 150 today...pretty bad. Had I been able to attend, I definitely would have been doing some neighborhood cut-throughs!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Bama just doubled to the wall with 2 outs. diving play in the outfield and he missed it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. triple for bama, 3-1 INFIDELS.

    ReplyDelete
  87. You know, we don't have to try to dive for everything. Sometimes if you keep the ball in front of you it just as good as an horrible diving attempt.

    ReplyDelete
  88. yup, back to back double & triple with 2 outs ends Luckie's day. pitching change.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love the Auburn commercials. War Eagle.

    ReplyDelete
  90. ok, I'm going to do some work now. It's too painful to be not watching... or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Hendrix on the mound now.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I don't think Fredejas meant to dive for that.

    ReplyDelete
  93. looks like JG is back from his Hoopie meeting.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Big thanks to HOOPIE for taking time to meet with me.

    He's 100% HABOTN® approved.

    ReplyDelete
  95. We need to hope Nelson has lost something late in the game or that our bats just are now waking up.

Does baseball also struggle with early games? Maybe it's just because Dave Neal is in the both it's reminding us of Jefferson Pilot football starts.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Kracken Patterson fouled one off his foot. Youch!

    ReplyDelete
  97. the man loves AU and lives in the hometown of my boy Ronnie Brown. Hoopie is fo real.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Our bats haven't been relaxed today. Nelson's curve and fastball have.

    ReplyDelete
  99. McElroy fights off being down 0-2 and takes the 3-2 pitch through the five hole, base hit. 1 out bottom 7.

    ReplyDelete
  100. 1st hit since 3rd inning. wow.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Well Casey's attempted steal saw him running about a half mile an hour. Perfect throw by bama's catcher, but that and a K from Nelson have the turds riding hot.

    son of a female dawg.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yeah Hoopie is a cool dude. Met him last week over a couple of drinks.

    ReplyDelete
  103. BTW- that makes it still 3-1 uat up. To the top of 8 we go.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Was that a hit and run? Looked like Jenks whiffed badly on the pitch up top and left C-Mac out to dry.

    ReplyDelete
  105. We forgot the "Hit" part of hit-and-run.

    ReplyDelete
  106. that's what our radio crew said PF.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson's little sister is up.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Yeah, the guys on SportsSouth said that after the inning.

1 Out double off the wall for le turds

    ReplyDelete
  109. Great strikeout by Hendrix. Got him with the offspeed, big time whiff. I felt the air down here in the 'burn.

    ReplyDelete
  110. ... Yet another stand up double off the wall.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap...

    ReplyDelete
  112. This is beginning to suck.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I assume this is where Hubbard comes in.

Good thing is, if there's a team in the SEC that can turn on the fire out of nowhere, its Auburn. We'll see what we can muster up.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Did we forget to unpack the bats from Oxford last weekend or is it just nobody remembered how to get them to Hoover since it's been so long?

    ReplyDelete
  115. I guessed wrong. Sean Ray, ze leftay, is a pitchin.

    ReplyDelete
  116. There's been a lot of '80s music played.

I heard Eddie Money's Two Tickets to Paradise, and now "Your Love" courtesy of The Outfield. But not Fradejas or Mummey. Heh.

    ReplyDelete
  117. RK- Stuck in traffic.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Atlantis is now grounded, by the way. Sad day for the peeps that have been with that shuttle for so many years.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Ray takes care of business with the K. Down three with 2 rounds of batters left.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Hey, we have someone on base. I like that strategy.

    ReplyDelete
  121. One on, one out. Top of the order coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  122. SFC thinking on the right track.

Hargs to 2nd on the bunt. 2 outs.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Damnit damnit damnit. We can't sneak anything through their infield.

To the top of 9 we go.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Crap, crap, crap,....

    ReplyDelete
  125. Actually, I'm with you, Wells. Three "damnits" are much more appropriate at this point than one "dang it".

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yepp, this officially sucks. I knew this was going to happen when we got this pairing. We seem to always manage to be Auburnisq in these situations. Damn damn damn.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I think the 8th inning might have been a little late to try the small ball with one out down by 3.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I thought the same thing, WERK.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Eddie, quit being a defeatist ninny.

    ReplyDelete
  130. i really can't add anything that hasn't been said the past dozen posts or so. :(

    ReplyDelete
  131. Can we somehow get all those extra runs we've scored blowing people out lately back and use them here?

    ReplyDelete
  132. Word. Giving away an out at this point is tough to do. Bama has a man on 2nd, one out. 3-1 pitch is a ball, boys on 1st and 2nd.

Appears to be the end of Sean Ray's day. This is where Hubbard should come in.

    ReplyDelete
  133. PF- As soon as this Auburn teams finds where they left their bats, I'll do so.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Is it really necessary to have that much (ANY?) pine tar on your helmet when you use an aluminum bat with wrapped grips?

    ReplyDelete
  135. Hahaha yeah WERK, don't those runs count in the run bank towards the post season?

I miss again on Hubbard. With Mississippi Queen blaring, Zach Blatt comes in the game.

Interesting fact: Kicked a 52 yard field goal in high school for Opelika High.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Negative PF- just a typical turd thing to do.

I've always hated Rutledge a little more than his teammates. Good thing he flew out. Sucka.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Let's see if Wilson can strike out again.

    ReplyDelete
  138. ... Nicked batter.

    Bases juiced.

I'm just ready for this to end.

    ReplyDelete
  139. If you are going to hit the batter, at least do it right. Man!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  140. My thoughts exactly, SFC.

    ReplyDelete
  141. There is really nothing more special than a pitcher with a bad sense of direction.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Another walk. Another run.

    5-1

    ReplyDelete
  143. Yea, just walk them in. It is less stressful for everyone concerned.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Well Eddie was right, I hate to say it, but he called it.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Off Gamache's glove. 2 score.

    7-1. 2 Outs. 1st and 2nd.

These cheers are driving me nuts.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Dang fans leaving early!!! You're not dead until your dead. Remember the Alamo and stuff like that.

    ReplyDelete
  147. yeah it is all negative Eddie's fault!

    ReplyDelete
  148. UAT has been killing us with 2 outs (as the announcers have reminded us close to 1,000 times).

    ReplyDelete
  149. Blaming it on Eddie somehow works for me.

    ReplyDelete
  150. It's going to take multiple huge ding dongs to win this one.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Blame me. It's just Auburn being Auburn IMO. We rarely find ourselves doing what we should in these situations.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Well now, that was different. If you're going to go down, go down with creativity.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Anonymous11:49 AM

No - Eddie was right. Auburn was ripe for the taking in this one.

I can hear it now - someone from AU will blame lack of crowds at home games for this.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Paws getting up and talking to blue. A horrible fortune call, apparently off the end of the bat, and the first out of the inning.

Bama has scored EVERY run this game with? 2 outs.

    Speaking of. Morris pops out.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I could stand anyone but the infidels.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Maybe it would help if we didn't hit the ball with the wrong end of the bat. I have to admit, it is a unique strategy though. I am sure Bama never saw that one coming.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Eddie was on the money with his call.

That's what I want to see change with Auburn sports. Not choke in these situations.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Thanks Eddie, you sound like a bamer. Auburn just being Auburn, what?!

    ReplyDelete
  159. Tha tha tha that's all folks.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Someone sing some Bon Jovi here. It seems appropriate.

    ReplyDelete
  161. But hey, we got to Hoover, right?

Yeah, doesn't make it any better for me either.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Anonymous11:53 AM

    Ouch

    ReplyDelete
  163. double elim...but the next one and we're done.

    ReplyDelete
  164. So I guess we play the loser of the next game in the morning?

    ReplyDelete
  165. Good news is that we likely face Ole Miss in the losers bracket.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Hey all. Is Auburn playing today?

    ReplyDelete
  167. is there something about morning games for any Auburn team?

    ReplyDelete
  168. ...I never drew first but I drew first blood...

    ReplyDelete
  169. Anonymous11:55 AM

Doesn't matter when you get beatdown, Steve.

    ReplyDelete
  170. WEG- Not a bamer by any means, but you have to admit, when Auburn finds itself in these situations, we usually fall flat on our faces. The euphoria of winning the West last weekend and then getting paired up with bama was just a bad recipe, especially if you look back at history. The Chris Porter Years at Auburn in Basketball are the only times I've seen us overcome it. It's ok to blame me, but sorry, sometimes I just feel this is what Auburn does in these situations.

    ReplyDelete
