the ncaa is going to be putting in some overtime between now and the end of august if 50-75 players might be involved.
ReplyDeleteuga can be good without a qb. see bammer. if all you have to do is turn around and hand it off 70% of the time and throw jump balls to hoolio how good do you need to be? the margin of error increases the better your d is. uga could be in that position this year if the d dramatically improves.
I call a "Hoopie Foul" on chip chip for rampant speculation. I don't think anyone would be committing during media days...all the media are in bammerham.

I can't confirm if Gaulden has an offer. My guess is that he has a conditional offer ... not really on board at this point.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Bammers' qb, I heard Mcelroy on Finebaum yesterday. He said that AU's preparation for the Iron Bowl last year was "off the charts," and that they (AU players) were everywhere. He also said that the Tigers played like they were possessed. His view went against the claim that Bammer had an off day.
He also said that his granddad is an Auburn grad and gives him a hard time about playing for Bama.
He is applying for a Rhodes scholarship. It would be neat if AU and UA had Rhodes scholars at the same time. We already have one, you know.
Hey ephemeral! Those are interesting comments. Did he say he has already resigned himself to a beating in the 2010 Iron Bowl? I know AU will win the IB this year, so maybe he does too.

ReplyDeletescout lists gaulden has an AU offer. rivals has apparently crashed and their page will not load after numerous attempts. that's all i know. i'm surprised as well that none of the usual suspects are reporting his AU commit. what he said in that article sure sounded like a commit. maybe he could not get in touch with the usual guys since they are eyeball deep in media daze.
