I had no problem with Rhoads, but I don't think he was among the elite X and O type DC's the way Muschamp was.

2) I don't get why everyone keep saying we need someone with SEC ties. Where was Meyers SEC ties before going to UF, what about Sabans before going to LSU. I think we need to get the best coach we can get and any SEC ties are a bonus, rather than settle for a average coach (Nutt) or someone with no head coach or even coordinator experience (Gardner)who knows the SEC.Wakeriderof87https://www.blogger.com/profile/14717348800679461122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23235343.post-9656979550307386102008-12-09T11:53:00.001-06:002008-12-09T11:53:00.001-06:00WarEagleRK, you are correct. I consider the protests detrimental. We need to send out a message of unity and stability. You have to ask yourself why a top notch coach would want to come to Auburn. Money isn't a good answer since there are other schools that are willing to shell out the big bucks for a top notch coach.

CTT is gone. Let it go.

If CTT was really fired, I would think that Jacobs already had some top notch coaches in mind for interviews. So far we haven't interviewed anyone impressive, or at least it hasn't been made public.

We need to wait and judge Jacobs on what he comes up with and don't get caught up in the public interviews. The private ones are the ones which will likely yield a new head coach.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16460464224141986657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23235343.post-18344650017052970532008-12-09T11:50:00.000-06:002008-12-09T11:50:00.000-06:00I think I'm going to pass on this one Harrison.
