Fans get ready
Hey everyone. Got a message today from popular Auburn SID Kirk Sampson saying Fan Day will be held on Saturday Aug. 11 from 1-3 p.m. I've attended every fan day since 1999, and it's a hit with the kids every single time.
What makes Auburn's fan day pretty cool are the coaches. Offensive coordinator Al Borges and running backs coach Eddie Gran seem particularly good with kids, and they connect with people so effortlessly. Not in a greasy politician way. I'm talking about the good kind of connection where people walk away saying: "He's a really nice guy."
