54 Andre Wadley, DE
That's 20 scholarship guys and 9 walk-ons for a total of 29. Wadley would make 30.
Here are the Things You Need To Know:
- Wadley hasn't yet gained medical clearance. He's still planning to resume his career this fall. He just wasn't here today and I found that significant.
- Neiko
Lipscombis no more. He is going by Neiko Thorpe. - Lykes has been moved to defensive tackle. He looks big.
- Bell is in a boot. He broke his left foot during a voluntary workout. He's expected to gain full clearance in three weeks or so.
- Albert is a name you Montgomery-area people may remember. He was a stud at Prattville last year before blowing out his right knee during a playoff game. Albert said he's "90 percent" right now. He's aiming to play receiver.

any significance to some names being italicized and some not?
retract previous question, please. now displaying differently.
Italics are for walk-ons. I should nix that. It's confusing.
What's the story on the name change?
I heard Wadley was still in the hospital, JGT.
Any word?
I know he was discharged several weeks ago. Maybe he's back in there?
Thorpe??? Is he saying he's a supreme athlete or does the name have some other meaning or significance, Jay?
There is a story there. I'll pass it along in today's blog.
I gotta say, having the name 'Thorpe' on the back of a jersey is pretty effin sweet.
