Halftime/Third Quarter
- Auburn's defense back into The Funk here late. Nice play by Jonathan Crompton to convert that 3rd-and-long. Then Gerald Jones moves behind center and the Tigers again can't get him to the ground.
- Auburn opens the second half with an ugly three-and-out. Yuck. That was one pointless drive. I find this Burns situation so odd; Todd was playing pretty well by my estimation. Why leave Todd playing at MSU (when he wasn't playing well) and yank him now that he is making the throws?
- HALFTIME NUMBERS THAT JUMP OUT AT ME:
- Chris Todd was 9-of-12 for 63 yards ... and was replaced.
- Kodi Burns was 2-of-4 for 25 yards. He also ran for 21 yards.
- Auburn has a 4:54 advantage in time of possession.
- Wes Byrum missed again.
- Auburn only has a small advantage (151 yards vs. 129 yards) in total offense.
- Pretty good half of football for the Auburn Tigers. I'll be back in a bit for more enlightening commentary. Please add yours in the comments area.

What happened to the O from that second drive? Spread, I formation, Fannin in the backfield?
Just once I would love for all three areas of our O to click and drive down the field (run game, passing and oline blocking and/or not giving up stupid penalties).
What is going on with Byrum?
Did the ground shake on the pass from Kodi to Mario?
It was LOUD, Jim.
I bet there were some people who had to change their underwear on that play.
While I love defensive TD's, we need some points from the offense here in the 2nd half.
It was orgasmic. Trott hurt my feelings on that drive. And me and Ziemba haven't talked in weeks. Billings isn't getting any tonight either. Not without on to the ball in some sort of significant play second half.
Jay-do you think tubs made some demands of franklin? Ie fannin at qb and plays under center?
Tub wasn't very happy during his halftime talk with Q.
Tuberville may have suggested some things, but I believe Tony Franklin is his own man.
Auburn is getting a nice push up front and pressuring Crompton.
JGT, are both Lester and Blackmon on the "only play if necessary" list?
We could pull Peyton Manning from the UT sideline, suit him up and I'm not sure he could do anything at QB for us right now.
The OL isn't doing anything and we aren't a threat to run or pass right now.
That was a great coffin corner kind of punt.
And that guys isn't the regular starter, is he? Isn't another one of the Colquitt family the regular (but currently serving suspension time)?
Only play if necessary, yep.
Thanks.
Nice job Ben Tate.
it was only a matter of time before someone went duck hunting
anyone think we'll see Kodi back in?
I've been on airplanes that were in the air shorter than that INT throw.
Kodi will be back in.
Yes that throw was slow, BUT that doesn't excuse the Wr standing there with his elbows firmly glued to his side and not coming back to be ball. That int could have been prevented.
Can CBS get us one more shot of Peyton on the sidelines?
Just asking...
